741  Economy / Speculation / Re: no need to panic on: June 07, 2014, 03:23:51 AM
The fight is on with low-medium volume!!!  Cheesy

Ha! Just wait until Wally the Wall Guy buys his own wall(s) out! Then we shall see some proper volume. Especially when all the noobs see a PANIC BREAKOUT!!!

we are still comfortably within the channel.

continue to sell the spikes and buy the dips.

until we break this somewhat random formation of lines I chose, that's what I'm doing.

Your bottom line is wrong.  Connect the 3 bottom spikes.  That's a much stronger line of support, and it's also much more bullish.

I disagree. The bottom line is based on high volume bearish candles for good reason.

The recent low candle he wasn't including before has more volume than one of the lows he was using.

744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I cannot touch it, it does not exist threshold that needs to be overcome on: June 07, 2014, 12:55:17 AM
Ever try to explain bitcoin to a new person? The hardest part is most likely getting them to understand the concept of bitcoin being digital or virtual (i.e not physical).

We are wired to having physical things that are a representation of what it can do for us. When someone tells you there is a new money system that can solve all sorts of problems (but you cannot physically hold it) some cannot grasp it.

There have been some attempts by a few physical bitcoin makers, but it does not seem like a fix.
I am not saying we need a physical bitcoin because we do not. Peoples perception of "It needs to be in my hand for it to exist" needs to change.

Of course the tech savvy groups can grasp this ideology, but the majority might find it difficult to accept the digital aspect of bitcoin (cannot touch it, therefore it does not exist etc).

Thoughts appreciated

I invite the world to peek beneath the mask and learn more about Bitcoin.
745  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it my imagination or does Bitcoin tend to gravitate towards $666 on: June 06, 2014, 10:08:57 PM
Bitcoin has spend enough time in the 666 range, time to move up,

Done already?  I suppose I can agree with this.  Volume has dried up.  Not much more damage I can do at this range.  I'll get out of the way tonight so you can reach the next plateau.
746  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10/21 EMA has crossed! Weekly MACD set to cross up! Full Moon in 7 days! on: June 06, 2014, 08:39:06 PM
I've been trading stocks, options, futures, and futures options for many years now.  I still have an IRA trading the S&P 500 e-mini (ES).  The rest of my funds are all in with Bitcoin.  I'll say that Bitcoin trading is at least one magnitude easier than ES.  But it's catching up.  You folks would do well to just sit back and hold at this point.  Unless you have a massive computer system that can do high frequency trades with a verifiable edge, you will eventually give all your BTC away.

ChartBuddy's great! Cheesy

EDIT: You might have noticed my new signature. I hope it doesn't make you hate me Grin

On the contrary, capitalism is great.

Gotta love the hourly thread bump.  This thread will never die as long as ChartBuddy is around.
749  Economy / Speculation / First Bitcoin App Now On iPhone App Store on: June 06, 2014, 05:36:32 AM
Looks like Bitcoin is really approved by Apple now.

everything is going according to plan poeple

the decentralization of world domination  is happening right here right now

Quite right.  If Ayn Rand were to write Atlas Shrugged today, flight to Galt's Gulch would be replaced with flight to Bitcoin and distributed consensus by public ledger.
751  Economy / Speculation / Re: This forum is full of future millionaires on: June 06, 2014, 02:51:14 AM
One.  The definition is not tied to any amount of fiat value.  It simple infers you are wealthy in Bitcoin.

ECB -> announced negative rates and market expecting QE to be announced in 20ish minutes. Get out of them Euro and into them BTC.

+1, did we just witness for one of the first time a macro-related move Huh Yeah !

a major newssite called it the end of capitalism as we know it.

That's a load of sensationalistic journalism, there has been experiments with negative rates various places, though not on such a scale of course.

i donīt think this is sensationalistic journalism. it is the 5th year of the 2008 crisis and they have no other tool than this very last one. if it fails (and i think it will) what will they do next ?

Wealth Taxes and Savings Sequestration
side note:

has anyone seen the Atlas Shrugged, part 2 movie yet? highly recommended. it's like watching a glimpse of the future while seeing it happen all around you in real time,

(part 1 as well, of course, and yes, I think part 1 was better, but part 2 seemed a little more "in your face" and Rearden's trial was epic)

Bitcoin is Galt's Gulch.

It will take some time for the fiat to arrive.  Coinbase requires some time for wall street bitcoin newbies to get fully verified for large fiat amounts.

Which exchange allows the most US dollar deposits in the least amount of time?
754  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10/21 EMA has crossed! Weekly MACD set to cross up! Full Moon in 7 days! on: June 05, 2014, 08:03:04 PM
If you look very closely you can see a large BTC on the surface of the moon.  It explains everything.
755  Economy / Speculation / Re: This forum is full of future millionaires on: June 05, 2014, 08:00:28 PM
Wrt this thread's title, anyone holding at least 1 Bitcoin can be considered a bitcoinaire.  It implies wealth.  The market price for BTC today is very undervalued.  So buy, but don't sell at anything less than a value that implies 1 BTC means wealth.
756  Economy / Speculation / Re: This forum is full of future millionaires on: June 05, 2014, 07:44:56 PM
If you used a less than random method of creating your private key, like a password, it is possible for the password to be brute-forced with a dictionary attack.  Those using a brain wallet with a short password are susceptible to this.  Just use a randomly generated private key and you are fine as long as you keep that key safe.
757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / "Millionaire" is a fiat-based term on: June 05, 2014, 07:26:09 PM
The term millionaire is rooted in fiat.  Should BTC replace fiat, 10 coins should be enough to classify as wealthy.  That number can be argued.  But we need a new term for someone with enough BTC that they are wealthy.

A market buy of 15837 BTC takes the price to $8000

A market sell of 27452 BTC takes the price to $50

Discuss

All else equal, and it never is, that means it's much more likely price will go to $8000 before $50.
