741  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin better than stocks, real-estate? on: November 06, 2017, 05:27:10 AM
I think its better because bitcoin price is unstable and tends go upwards while in stocks and real state price are based on fiat and some government has a huge tax on real state properties which is not good for small investor.

I don't think stating simply that the trend goes upwards is a good, convincing argument. Just as much as we have been seeing up trends, we cannot get caught up in them right now. The volatility of bitcoin is definitely a problem that not a lot of people want to face. People want to keep their investments as safe as possible, and if they're looking to do that, then bitcoin is simply not the right option. Bitcoin requires a risk on the investor's side.
742  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: US Bank that is crypto-friendly? on: November 05, 2017, 09:09:22 PM
My local bank put my account under review because I exchanged 200 ETH into fiat from Coinbase and transferred the USD to my account. I hear PNG, Bank of America, and a few others are doing the same to account holders.

Can anyone recommend a US bank that is crypto-friendly?

There are currently none. You're moving a large sum that seems pretty suspicious from the viewpoint of the bank account. Instead, try to withdraw bit by bit and not all at one time. It's not only a good trading practice, but it'll keep the banks off your tail about large withdrawals too. As long as you do nothing to alert a bank, you'll be fine.
743  Economy / Speculation / Re: New All-Time High at $7,598 on: November 05, 2017, 08:29:57 PM
Once again, and in less than 2 week the bitcoin price has achieved a new  high price and break  $7,500 range  on November 5 first time all-time, with out  add positive positive effect of new fork .

Demand In Japan and South Korea (the popularity of offline exchanges of Bithumb and Coinone ) exponential increase  .

So Why is the Market So Optimistic?

Well it's my contention that there's two things that have been driving up the price over the past few weeks.

1) The upcoming fork. For the past 2 forks, we've seen strong support of BTC right before because people want to hop on the train and get that extra forked coin as "free money."

2) Amazon just bought some crypto domains and it seems like tech companies are starting to come out with support for crypto.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: B2X Futures on: November 05, 2017, 06:27:55 PM
No sane person is dumping Bitcoin for 2x on the 15th.

Yea, everyone will be dumping 2x for BTC. I mean that's the reason why people are buying right now and why we see such strong steady growth. It's a small bubble that most likely will pop right after the fork. There is no doubt in my mind that people will be dumping the new coin for more BTC. Even if there's a new coin offered, the name of Bitcoin itself holds so much weight nowadays, it's quite insane.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: segwit2x price prediction on: November 04, 2017, 11:10:25 PM
shitcoin can not be above 9% of BTC after 1 month.

it's the history.
it's the reality.

I agree. This coin will tank so quickly due to the sheer amount of people instantly dropping the coin. Honestly, we will probably see a bitcoin price drop too, but I don't know how much of a drop it could be. Some people predict that it might be the worst tank we've seen since after the 1000 rise back in the early 2010's. These continuous forks just add on to the volatility of btc.
746  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's profit on: November 04, 2017, 05:53:08 PM
I heard people said that Bitcoin's profit is higher than profit of drug dealer, weapon dealers or profit of real property or any kind of stocks. Is that real ?

Probably not. Pablo Escobar was known to have wealth that added up to approximately 30 billion us dollars. Roughly speaking, that would be 4091042 Bitcoin.

I think the price of bitcoin still has a distance to go, however. It's possible that the profits from bitcoin will outgrow any of these other situations, but in this moment right now, I don't think the profits outrun other forms of profits.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitConnect market cap dropped from 2 billion to 600 million ? on: November 04, 2017, 05:25:51 PM
Bitconnect = a scam https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitconnect/comments/77s7lk/bitconnect_ponzi_investigation_officially_linking/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=43&v=kbR1SXIje1U

They are still listed at coinmarketcap  but there was a correction of coins in circulation.

There are countless posts pointing to the possibility of Bitconnect being a scam. Furthermore, it's possible that if it does act as an exchange, that they have sold a significant amount of bitcoin that they hold just in the nature of their service being an exchange. People have been trying to get their hands onto more BTC as soon as they can so that they can ride the wave too.

I'm not saying that Bitconnect is surely not a scam, but I'm just pointing to a possible idea.
748  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help Transaction lost - money lost on: November 04, 2017, 05:23:32 PM
Hello everyone and thanks for reading.

I've been mining for a while, and last week I decided to send a few cents of test to coin base from my purse. The first transfer arrived well, but the second one does not arrive. I enter the identifier in the https://live.blockcypher.com page and it says that there is no transfer with this indicator, and it is the one that appears in the wallet. The commission is well paid.

Can someone help me recover my bictoins?

Thank you very much.

Regards

Please share your tx id to check where the transaction has been stuck. If you know the transaction accelerator you please utilize one among them and try to accelerate it.
If you have less fees than amount recommended to transfer from one wallet to another means it will take more than 6 hours to confirmed.

You states that you have earned some fund via mining, check whether they are legit site who is giving the bitcoins for mining. Many scamming sites available still.

Yes, if you don't see a transaction confirmed, the best idea that you could follow would to just be to pop the id into the transaction accelerator. If you enter the identifier and you still cannot find it, make sure that you're not missing any characters. If you are, then it's possible that it's looking for a transaction that doesn't exist.
749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for the BTC price rise on: November 03, 2017, 11:48:23 PM
Hello,

So the BTC today is >USD 7,000 and keeps rising and I searched in the web for possible reasons why this happens and forecasts. I found this news (https://www.forbes.com/sites/insideasia/2017/11/01/bitcoins-6400-price-tag-explained-by-initial-coin-offering-craze/#1e12e4a137d6), for which I think this explanation is quite interesting and compelling.

What do you think of this? Any arguments?

Thanks,
Luiz

ICO's relate more heavily to the 1990's dot com boom. When you're talking about bitcoin, it's as if you're talking about Microsoft amongst the realm of all of the "dot com" companies that were started during the time. Of course, not all of them succeeded. Instead, only a few prevailed. When talking about the recent bitcoin rise, it's fairly isolated from all of the ICO business. I don't know what the Forbes writer was thinking or what research he did when writing that article.
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More and more BitcoinATMs on: November 03, 2017, 11:37:17 PM
Do you think if there is any chance that amount of BitcoinATM will be similar as normal ATM in the future?

I think as much as bitcoin is a currency, it won't be as widely used as a fiat currency. Many people who use bitcoin also use it as an investment, and for that reason, they don't need to depend on it as a currency. I think there will be a lot of bitcoinatms available in the technologically strong areas, first world countries, etc., first. After some time, we might be able to see some ATMs popping up in other places, but I don't think the amount of BTCatms will be the same as fiat ones.
751  Economy / Speculation / Re: With this amazing increasing Bitcoin will hit big value like 10,000$ soon ? on: November 03, 2017, 11:26:36 PM
With this amazing increasing Bitcoin will hit big value like 10,000$ soon ?  Grin

Do you think that Bitcoin will continue increasing until the end of the year 2017 ?

I think there is good time for Bitcoin to increase until the end of the year, but I don't think we can get to 10,000. There will be a drop, I believe, after the fork because of the dump of the forked coin. By the end of the year, it might be cracking around 8,000 if we see some steady increase. The more companies that adopt bitcoin as payment, the more the price will rise, it's as simple as that for now.
752  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin sold out on: November 03, 2017, 09:08:04 PM
Satoshi died in 2013. These coins will never be sold.

For all we know, satoshi might not even be a single person. There is no evidence pointing towards anything about satoshi and "his" singular personality. It's been theorized that he's actually a group of people, rather than just a single person. Regardless, the bitcoin that satoshi holds will never be moved. Furthermore, the exchanges will always be moving bitcoin around, so I think it will be hard to sell out of all of the bitcoin available.
753  Economy / Speculation / Re: will people get a free Segwit btc for each btc they have, after the fork? on: November 03, 2017, 06:10:26 PM
Or why are people buying btc like crazy?

Yes you will get the same amount of segwit btc after the fork. People are buying for the same reason they bought when the whole BCH and BTG stuff went down. They think it's just free money, but in reality, they're creating a bubble that will burst after the fork. It probably won't drop a lot, but it definitely will tank the price a little bit. We saw the same exact activity right after the BTG fork because people started to see BTC go up.
Its really a free money if you bought bitcoin in low price and you are getting both the benefits of the price increase and you can get your fork coins.. Until now i still didn't get my bitcoin gold but the price was drop a lot but the price of bitcoin are keep increase because of the next fork.. that i think this will the last or final fork that i think we will experience of large drop of the price..
Because there is no fork will happen again.. but if there are more coming fork after this november 16 well expect the price will getting increases because people will keep investing just to get the benefits of free fork coins.

That's true, but I'm guessing that most of these people are trying to hop on the trend later. Not a lot of these people who JUST heard about the whole fork situation invested a while ago. I think that people have a common false misconception about the forks and "free money." In the short term, it won't be a huge growth. It will instead be a small drop in the short term and a decent growth in the long term.
754  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Moving Towards $7500, Market needs a crash on: November 03, 2017, 05:46:11 PM
Bitcoin price in India is hitting all records and now the price is moving towards the level of Rs. 500000 and its the signal of price correction. I think the next few days are crucial and we should be ready for a crash.

In the bull run, the market captures positive news and ignores small negative news. When people starts selling to make profits, the prices goes down and every negative news are highlighted which can lead a crash.

Market Needs Crash

I think saying something "needs" a crash is a fallacious argument. Nothing is due a crash. In ideal situations, bitcoin could potentially just end up constantly going up. However, we do not live in an ideal situation. However, again, this does not support the cause for having a crash. Again, I'm not saying that there aren't going to be any crashes, but that your logic is partly fallacious.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin have a good future. Why? on: November 03, 2017, 04:46:33 PM
Do you believe that Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin have a good future. Why?

For a lot of people, Bitcoin is the ultimate cryptocurrency. As of now, in the short term, I would say that bitcoin has a strong future due to the upcoming support from Amazon. Ethereum and Litecoin don't really get the same attention bitcoin does, but again, that's a result of how many more people support Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin's future is much stronger than Ethereum and Litecoin's.
756  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much can Bitcoin increase? on: November 03, 2017, 04:33:20 PM
My guess is that the BTC will rise above $ 10,000 by the end of 2017. What do you think?

i think it will crash Drown soon bubble end

I think there will be a small crash right after this fork, just as we saw after BTG. However, we currently are seeing a great time for bitcoin. Companies are coming out and supporting it as a currency, which is boosting it's ability to double as an investment as well. With the growing support, I don't think Bitcoin will drop significantly in the next few months. We may see fluctuations here and there, but for the most part, those are expected.

758  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you want to be rich, don't sell bitcoins, do this instead…. on: November 03, 2017, 05:02:58 AM
~Simple, loaning them out, which, can already be done on bitfinex and other platforms. ~

all you said is true but you said all of that to come to this sentence which is not such a good suggestion.
when using these centralized places, you are practically taking a huge risk because at any moment they can stop existing. bitfinex (or any other service for that matter) can go up in smokes in a blinking of an eye. it has already happened multiple times with many different exchanges that claimed to be hacked or simply ran away (bitfinex included) and you lose your "capital"!

That's true. The same goes for anyone who is trying to put out loans on the forum as well. People can easily take the money and just leave if they don't leave collateral (which often times, they don't even have). The lending business is pretty risky overall in my opinion and it's not the best way to make money off of bitcoin. There are better options out there like altcoin trading and such.
759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Segwit2X - prove to me it's going to happen. on: November 02, 2017, 08:12:04 PM
Segwit2x is going to happen. There is no problem on that. Big blockers have their BCH but another big part of Free miners are already locked in to segwit2x.
Don't worry everything is going to be good

It'll happen but I highly doubt anyone really trusts it. Which is very ironic because they think that people would trust it since it's a fork of bitcoin. We'll probably see people coming in to get an equal amount of the forked coin only to sell in the next hour. Will likely cause a little drop in bitcoin as long as people are actually selling their btc for the forked coin.
760  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price prediction 2018 on: November 02, 2017, 08:07:41 PM
Easy question: What price do you expect for Bitcoin in 2018 ?
Please just write the number so we will get a nice and clean overview!

what i say:

14,500 $

 Smiley

I think it'll hover to what it's at right now. I don't know exactly why I feel as so, but I just think that the huge amount of support for bitcoin will peak sometime next year. There will be some conflict and whatnot, but after bitcoin is accepted by major players in the tech business, there will be a little crash due to the lack of continuous support from numerous companies that spark investors to put their money in.
