I am running stock 2 stock R9 290s and cannot get more than an average of 35 hash per GPU. Is there anything I can do to increase this?

Yeah, increase the clock speed while undervolting and decrease the memory clock, should get you some more hashes. To what values? Not sure about the exact values but around 1050/1200 should be okay. |

Had a few spare minutes and set up a pool here: https://zoin.suprnova.ccHowever, I yet have to fix estimates and hashrate, will do that asap when time allows. Block finding/Payouts etc should be fine. Using a zcoin miner doesn't seem to work. what should I use? |

Hey guys thanks for the fast replys! what miners would you recommend for my hardware? iv been reading that different miners get different results from the same hardware and that drivers of the hardware can also make a difference.

Just getting into the mining game as a friend also mines and sounds like something I can do while at work or asleep.
Iv got myself a new rig with a i7 6700k and a GTX 1070. I'm just wondering what miner/Drivers people could recommend to result in the maximum return. I'm in the Army and have my rig at camp so I don't have to worry about my electricity.

I would recommend mining Zcash on the CPU and the GPU at the moment, could give you some really nice returns at current rates. |

Word of advice everyone : This miner likes tighter timings more than overclocks. Adjust accordingly.
What do you mean with "tighter timings"? Higher mem clock? Higher memory clocks will NOT result in tighter memory timings. the opposite will. |

Not better than a 290 but still beats them at price/performance ratio. R9 290: 50H/s R9 280X: 40H/s I get the same speed as my 290. Is your modded or overclocked in anyway? Mine is running at 947/1250 stock everything and its the same speed as the 280x. It's a Tri-X running at 1080/1500. not modded but slightly overclocked. another 390 running at 1050Mhz produces 54H/s. |

When you say 957/1200, does that mean Core/Mem? Have you modified your actual rom file to those numbers and then flashed your bios with ATI flash or does 957/1200 mean something different and something you can set in windows? Using 15.12 drivers Win7 x64, what am I missing here? Same thing with this http://coinsforall.io/distr/zcashclient-0.2.4.zip . And on r9 280x rig, genoil miner just crashes on same mobo cpu ram, Application unable to start correctly, 0xc000007b . Same driver and OS. Both rigs are at 70%+ CPU use, is that the problem ? Hashes fine with eth or previous algos. Not sure about the 390's but my 290x reference are 1000/1125mem, -75mv core, with modded roms, 24ish - 34ish, @ 900 watts to the wall for 6 card rig V0.5 15.12 drivers on Win 10. My 6x280x Vapours 1150/1500mem 14ish - 31ish @ 800ish watts V0.5 16.3 drivers Win 10. And if anyone cares 5 Nano's 900/300 modded roms 13ish -20ish PLUS 7990 1050/1500 15ish - 20ish = 500 watts to the wall. They are running 2 instances on the same Win 10 machine. 4GB RAM cheap CPU's H97 or H81 boards timeout 30 :start taskkill /F /IM genoil.exe cd C:\Users\miner\Downloads\genoil-zec-miner-0.5\genoil-zec-miner-0.5 timeout 10 start genoil.exe -c us1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u address.GPUrig1A -p z TIMEOUT /T 1800 goto start pause Not sure, but it might be CPU-limited in your case.
