if ZEC goes below $250 i doubt that it is still worth mining, will everybody switch back to ETH?)

Everyone switches to the most profitable coin and that's when it becomes less profitable.

I'm only getting 22H/s on a 6700K, is it normal?
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v1.1 on: November 06, 2016, 12:12:34 AM
Hi Guys,

I am running stock 2 stock R9 290s and cannot get more than an average of 35 hash per GPU.  Is there anything I can do to increase this?

Thanks.

Yeah, increase the clock speed while undervolting and decrease the memory clock, should get you some more hashes.

To what values?

Not sure about the exact values but around 1050/1200 should be okay.

Had a few spare minutes and set up a pool here:

https://zoin.suprnova.cc

However, I yet have to fix estimates and hashrate, will do that asap when time allows.

Block finding/Payouts etc should be fine.

Using a zcoin miner doesn't seem to work. what should I use?

Are there any performance improvements planned for the next versions?

Hey guys thanks for the fast replys! what miners would you recommend for my hardware? iv been reading that different miners get different results from the same hardware and that drivers of the hardware can also make a difference.

https://github.com/etherchain-org/nheqminer/releases/tag/0.3a

This miner should work okay with NVidia cards.
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: (Request) i7 6700k - GTX 1070 on: November 04, 2016, 05:42:28 PM
Hey,

Just getting into the mining game as a friend also mines and sounds like something I can do while at work or asleep.
Iv got myself a new rig with a i7 6700k and a GTX 1070. I'm just wondering what miner/Drivers people could recommend to result in the maximum return. I'm in the Army and have my rig at camp so I don't have to worry about my electricity.

Thanks in advance!

Sledge

I would recommend mining Zcash on the CPU and the GPU at the moment, could give you some really nice returns at current rates.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v1.0 on: November 04, 2016, 05:13:15 PM
Word of advice everyone : This miner likes tighter timings more than overclocks. Adjust accordingly.

What do you mean with "tighter timings"? Higher mem clock?

Higher memory clocks will NOT result in tighter memory timings. the opposite will.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v1.0 on: November 04, 2016, 05:10:06 PM
Zcash is about three times more profitable to mine than Ethereum at the moment, this miner is what's going to make them even in profitability.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v1.0 on: November 04, 2016, 05:01:04 PM
Looks like the R9 280X are the FASTEST GPUs out there.

Once again they are the KING of mining!!

Long live the 7950, 7970, 280X.

Even faster than my R9 290 & RX 470.

Glad I didn't sell these to get the RX 470/RX480.

Not better than a 290 but still beats them at price/performance ratio.

R9 290: 50H/s
R9 280X: 40H/s

I get the same speed as my 290. Is your modded or overclocked in anyway?

Mine is running at 947/1250 stock everything and its the same speed as the 280x.

It's a Tri-X running at 1080/1500. not modded but slightly overclocked. another 390 running at 1050Mhz produces 54H/s.

hey guys "found shares" over 300 ms.....is there something wrong?

Yeah, try to switch to a server closer to you geographically.

Works really well. hashrates are suprisingly high on Tahiti chips.

Fiji XT: 55 Sol/s
Tahiti XT: 40 Sol/s
Hawaii Pro: 50 Sol/s

Will someone send me $1 or minimum ETH required for gas to send ICN tokens out of wallet to my address?

I'll give 2 $1 dollar code from coinizy virtual credit card.

Thanks.

You need less than 1$. a really small amount is enough.

Hashrates using the silentarmy v2 kernel:

R9 Fury X @1050/500 - 35-40 Sol/s
R9 290 & 390 @ 1060/1500 - 32-34 Sol/s
R9 280x @ 957/1200 - 28-32 Sol/s

Overall I'm really happy with the performance, but fixing the stability so it doesn't crash every time would make it even better  Wink

I have 5x 280x cards.  When you say 957/1200, does that mean Core/Mem?  Have you modified your actual rom file to those numbers and then flashed your bios with ATI flash or does 957/1200 mean something different and something you can set in windows?  If it is something different, can you tell me how to set those numbers?  I want to try your settings on my 280x cards.  Thanks!

The card is underclocked. using afterburner.

I have r9 390 @ 1080/1500 and can't get more than 24Sol/s with 4g ram and amd sempron, in config changed 2 to 3 instances but no change, tried higher TC, same hashrate. Using 15.12 drivers Win7 x64, what am I missing here? Same thing with this http://coinsforall.io/distr/zcashclient-0.2.4.zip .

And on r9 280x rig, genoil miner just crashes on same mobo cpu ram, Application unable to start correctly, 0xc000007b . Same driver and OS.

Both rigs are at 70%+ CPU use, is that the problem ? Hashes fine with eth or previous algos.

Not sure about the 390's but my 290x reference are 1000/1125mem, -75mv core, with modded roms, 24ish - 34ish, @ 900 watts to the wall for 6 card rig V0.5 15.12 drivers on Win 10.

My 6x280x Vapours  1150/1500mem 14ish - 31ish @ 800ish watts V0.5 16.3 drivers Win 10.

And if anyone cares 5 Nano's 900/300 modded roms 13ish -20ish PLUS 7990 1050/1500 15ish - 20ish = 500 watts to the wall. They are running 2 instances on the same Win 10 machine.

4GB RAM cheap CPU's H97 or H81 boards

timeout 30
:start
taskkill /F /IM genoil.exe
cd C:\Users\miner\Downloads\genoil-zec-miner-0.5\genoil-zec-miner-0.5
timeout 10
start  genoil.exe -c us1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u address.GPUrig1A -p z
TIMEOUT /T 1800
goto start
pause

Not sure, but it might be CPU-limited in your case. I'm running my rigs on 8-core AMD CPUs.

You should try this miner: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1666780.0
It only works on OpenCL, it won't work for your 1070 but will for the other two.
