Interesting encouraging news.. good Topic Spartak !

I can't be bothered explaining my stance on reg's been there and done that for years.
..next time Wink

And there is reg's in a slew of ways i keep pointing out.
Made profit ?
Paid your taxed on it ?

Ripple + Fincen ?

Cryptsy and other exchanges REQUIRING user identification why now ?

There already is regulations guys.

I said "regulated worldwide". Of course we have some regulations now, I thought that there is no need to point that out...

P.S. Taxes? We were forced (because we wanted everything to be legit) to create a VAT registered company back in 2014 when I was still working with my investor. Our (bulgarian) government passed a law for profits from cryptocurrencies (taxes were 10%). Didn't paid any taxes though. My investor screwed me (more like his broker) long before we have any profits so...

a true decentralised p2p currency should be indifferent to regulation  Shocked thats kinda half the point  Kiss

Yeah, right... and what happens when you want to trade them?

EDIT:

They basically cannot regulate it unless the people will declare ownership of the cryptocurrency, and I don't think many people will.

... and what happens when exchanges require your identity?

Do you think all the exchanges will require user's identity one day? I don't think so. many of the crypto users refuse to give out their identities, for various reasons, and that's why it will always be profitable to run an exchange that doesn't require an ID.

And if all exchanges will, there will be websites in the darknet for crypto exchanges.

Precocious little scamp.. you are cute & adorable and a cliche.
I already told you off 3 years ago and all the others like you since..

Guess what son ?

2 guys met on LocalBitcoins to arrange to meet in person to buy / sell Bitcoins.
They did.
And they were swiftly arrested by the FBI.

SO.....

uuhhhhhh.........

Guess what honey ?
THEY CAN REGULATE IT !

You will figure that out when the Tax man finds out about your earnings and garnishes your wages
or the FBI clicks the hand cuffs closed on your or FINCEN fines your company a half million dollars. etc..

I like the "goal" of having no regulations but we need a coin that can function that way technically.
I am not a dreamer but a realist !
The reality is we have heavy unbreakable ties to FIAT right now with Crypto Currencies.
It's a little ridiculous that you have to go to your bank and withdraw FIAT money to buy Bitcoins etc.
The notion of having to buy a currency with the currency it replaces is simply fucking retarded LOL
AND !
It's what got those guys busted at LBC ?
Florida's Anti-Money laundering laws.
AND.. that is why *MANY* Exchanges require your identification.. because of Financial regulations etc.

Did you guys forget Coinbase helped rat out the owner of KickAssTorrents ?
Who collected his personal information and handed it to the govt  (they admitted publicly)
And what country was behind the investigation and where was the victim living ?
Check the story he had servers all over including in Canada..

@kelsey
Good to see you pop up again Wink
As always we agree a lot !
These guys don't get it or care.. or they would not be supporting a scene that is getting MORE centralized.
Exchanges have gotten worse and ICO's like Ethereum have made the situation far worse.
They want NO regulations they are just not willing to do the work to get there LOL
Profits get in the way hahahhaha

Well, the situation is worse than I thought it was then, locally I have never heard of something like this happening, but I guess the US is a different story. were you planning to buy large amounts of bitcoins in that meeting? I doubt they will go after peanuts.
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: California lawmaker is asking for more regulation on cryptocurrencies on: August 22, 2016, 01:45:12 AM
Which serious exchange at the moment does not require user's identity? For what cryptocurrencies are fighting for? Adoption! That would surely help it...

I'm not using any exchanges too much, but in the times I have used shapeshift and bittrex and I was never asked for an ID.

...
Me making an observation/comparison between two entities on certain fundamentals isn't fraud mainly because I receive no financial gains for my opinions .. You on the other hand making claims that an entity is fake without proof that could hold up in court ~ that is a mild form of fraud.

Yes, wasserman could/would/should ..

I will try to buy it from you at the end of the month if you still have it and want to get rid of it so you can be gone from here as well ..

lol I think you misunderstood. I don't think your comparison is fraud.

Running an ICO with a fake dev team is fraud. It is literally fraud.

Well time will tell if OPAIR ICO is scam or not. Most of the Coins these days are scam and the best way to scam is at the ICO.
OPAIR has also signature campaign and is quite popular ICO among the BTK Members

I feel there is really the need for the project to  push through since investors has already send btc.
but opair team should show good faith. They could have get more btc support if they just provide details of who they are. This is just what opair team can give to end all these series of scam accusation.

wasserman, cant you 3 just make video. just say "hi im hao wang, i support opair" as simple as that, followed by frank and you
then all problem solved

Yeah I agree, a short interview with both devs will clear almost all the doubts.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] OPAIR | ICO Ends in 7 Days | New Blockchain Platform on: August 21, 2016, 12:55:45 AM
Hey Opair,

Do we need to have acces to the private keys of the wallet we sending btc from or can we also send it from an exchange?

I sent from my exchange account.

Sent from exchange account works, but if any problem about the ownership of your account comes up, it is always better to have the private key.

Hey Opair,

Do we need to have acces to the private keys of the wallet we sending btc from or can we also send it from an exchange?

We are going to made the payment on btc but if you want to support the project, you can buy it on exchanges with the bounty.

Regards

I Made a ico deposit from an exchange, how will we eventually get the ico funds ?

We dont have the keys from that wallet so will we get it inside our account here like a import code or a wallet inside our mailbox?

You will need to generate a XPO address (from the wallet) and added to your account. For security we recommend using 2fa. You will be able to add only one XPO address. Any query or change must be handled manually.

Regards

2FA? do you have 2fa auth in your wallet?
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal to support 3 coins on: August 21, 2016, 12:48:47 AM
Well this is really weird, Litecoin could make sense, but Dogecoin is kind of dead by now. maybe it's just an example of cryptocurrencies they will list in there?
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal to support 3 coins on: August 21, 2016, 12:37:21 AM
Here is a single page from the PayPal patent published May 26th, 2016 for those that didn't know. They must play World of Warcraft! I got my Gold, Silver and now Copper. The perfect trifecta! It would be so hilarious to buy groceries with Doge through PP. I thought Litecoin and Doge were dead though?

Can you link the source?

@YIz sorry my bad, this message go to the person behind these accounts, not you. So, do you really think these people are disconnected between them ? Please answer this

Some of them are probably connected, but I doubt one person owns them all, because there are too many of them, unless he really has a lot of free time.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] OPAIR | Unmoderated thread on: August 20, 2016, 04:10:33 PM
@kellendil Of course, send me a message with your price and we will try to make an agree.

@YIz, are you kidding me? Please read my message again (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1570330.msg15980011#msg15980011) even look the names of the accounts...use the same structure, all of them use two words like: huge-lobster, scammer-die, future-billions, love-versace, find-scam, like-virgins, singapore-dollar, lovely-bear, ico-profit and so on. So go to another place with your accounts.

Do you really think these people are disconnected between them ? It is so clear.

With my accounts? do you think I am the one behind all of those accounts? alright then, I am probably very bored and support Stratis, as you said.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] OPAIR | Unmoderated thread on: August 20, 2016, 03:59:18 PM
@YIz Really this is your super proof? As i said before, i can verify my investment and buy your account if you want to exit but you accuse me of being someone else? Crazy.
At least take the time to investigate as i did, that i found like 20 accounts involved in that lie.

@singaporedollar dont try to lie me, even look the names of the accounts...use the same structure, all of them use two words like: huge-lobster, scammer-die, future-billions, love-versace, find-scam, like-virgins, singapore-dollar, lovely-bear, ico-profit and so on. So go to another place with your accounts. You (the person behind these accounts) must be a scammer.

Super proof? what? I sent this picture because you think you are sherlock holmes and post nonsense. I can post nonsense too and claim it is my "research".
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] OPAIR | Unmoderated thread on: August 20, 2016, 03:40:10 PM
@findscam Your are a joke men. This is so obvious. Another newbie account that was created in the first days of August (as the others). Much coincidence haha. Please delete this troll comments and all their multiple accounts.

I continue with my research and I found another strange thing. All these accounts follow the same pattern. They write in the same hours (chinese, even most of them write on the china local board) and support Stratis (and attack Opair). My conclusion is that it is a Stratis investor fears that the launch of Opair damage his investment.

I deserve a bounty for this investigation haha  Cool. Here you can see some of these users:

Congrats!!!

Good health to Opair!

You are such a detective sherlock! I doubt a single person owns all of those accounts, the Opair project is much less threatening to others than you think. There is a lot of competition and you are not a major player in the crypto scene, so nobody would actually spend this much time trying to take you down.

BTW, look at my own detective work:

https://i.imgur.com/LNTZmMt.png

You guys are all detectives. I know Chinese, and my previous posts about many other coins, not only stratis, about lisk, lir, and many others. YIZ's good find, if kooke admits he is wasserman, I would "admit" i am the Chinese whale who doesn't like Opair. LMAO Grin

And kooke you have seen any real Chinese speak English well like me? You should read the link below. Only 0.8% Chinese know English, less Chinese know BCT forum.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_English-speaking_population

And yiz's image is very good proof, why? Nobody calls one guy as "men"(wasserman called kllendil "men", kooke called findscam "men"), you guys both don't know one person should be "man", not "men". Such a coincidence, we can hardly find 2 bad grammer learners in a coin thread, right?   Grin

Yeah I found it very sketchy myself, they are connected in some way, I guess.

My opinion is that the best candidate (if it was 1 guy) to be Satoshi Nakamoto was David Kleiman, but he died like 3 years ago. As far as I know (because I did some researches on him) he was crazy about security and I believe that the "premine" is lost. I now googled him and saw the date he died - April 26, 2013. Bitcoin started to explode in November, 2013 and its peak ($1150) was at the end of the month. Probably that could be one of the explanations on why he didn't sold a single coin.

Even if he's dead by now, he probably left a backup and told his relatives about it, he won't just throw away millions of dollars.

You think? Smiley

Quote
While he was alive, Kleiman kept a heavy-duty USB drive on his person at all times. Paige believes it might have been made by the brand Corsair — which boasts that its products are encased in “an anodized aircraft-grade aluminum housing.” If he really did possess a Satoshi Nakamoto-level fortune, it may have been sitting on that drive. According to Paige, that drive was passed to Kleiman’s brother Ira, who declined to speak on the record about whether he possessed it. But even if the bitcoins were there, recovering them wouldn’t be nearly as simple as pulling files from an ordinary USB drive. Kleiman, the consummate security buff, locked down everything he owned with encryption strong enough that even his tech-savvy partners doubt they’d be able to crack it. “If you told me there was a million dollars on Dave’s computer in this room, I wouldn’t even bother trying to look for it,” Paige said. “It would be a waste of time.”

Source: http://gizmodo.com/the-strange-life-and-death-of-dave-kleiman-a-computer-1747092460

Even if they were encrypted, he handed him the drive for a reason. he surely gave him the encryption key for the drive.
Maybe he didn't spend them because he doesn't actually need any money, or maybe he dumped the drive an hour later, we'll never know, or maybe we will?

Just apply some logic...

Not touching that stash of BTC would have only 4 feasible reasons:
-The owner lost his key.
-The owner died and took his key with him.
-It's locked behind a multi-sig and the owners had a fall out.
-The owner is not interested in money (extreme autism).

I listed them from most high to low likelihood. That is all there is to it. Price protection, "wanting bitcoin to succeed" and superhuman restraint have nothing to do with it.

I assume the person who invented bitcoin knows how to handle his private keys.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin IS Bitcoin on: August 19, 2016, 06:35:07 AM
LTC so far, it seems that there is no innovation, and I personally think that the price of LTC is significantly higher than the value of LTC

LTC was designed with the idea of being conceptually different from Bitcoin, thus most of the codebase is similar to Bitcoin. But we have some differences against Bitcoin that maybe be advantageous. For example we have a tx fee system which makes the Bitcoin tx spam attacks too expensive to carry out.

But you should take a look at the roadmap for Litecoin Core on litecoincore.org.

Yeah you are certainly the litecoin dev now. haha.

Update

This certainly is a campaign designed to harm us. 90 percent of users who wrote in the other thread are newbies accounts created less than a month ago. They can all be the same person Hopefully are not people from other projects that want us out of the way for fear of competition.

We will not let your attempt to FUD us make us effect and we will honor all our promises.

They just want our project to fail or I disappear to say that they were right. But we will show them they are wrong and we will draw our platform forward. Fortunately, investors continue to give us their support and dont believe in the accusations of these people.

I hope that third parties can read the thread objectively and draw their own conclusions.

I will repeat my last message, because it is quite clear:

There is no question. Everything was clear in our thread. On our team we decided not to make a video interview at this stage of the process and for that we receive attacks from some users. Beyond that there is nothing.

Just because we do not make a video call, for the reasons already set up hundreds of times, it does not make us better or worse proposal, just different.

We just want to let us work in peace. We are offer a full escrow with SebastianJu and he will release the funds to us by PARTS!!!!! If we dont deliver or stop develop he will refund to everyone.

Even, we know that the two features that highlight in our project are the use of functional programming and decentralized debits cards, which both go to be our two main pillars. We are going to focus and develop these characteristics no matter how much funding we get.

We keep our promise. Time will prove us right. Whoever wants to trust us is welcome.

Regards

PS: If no one wants to invest in our project or wait until the end of ICO to invest are free to do so.

May I know why would someone start a whole campaign against you? how does he profit from it?
