Hopefully we can discuss the block we find soon. I am new here but 1430 hours seems like quite the dry spell.
if you look at the https://kano.is/index.php?k=blocks page - you will see our luck is a little higher than 100% for the past 5 but for any other count, we are under 100% and overall (like 2500 blocks) the pool is at 101% so that is pretty good. that said, I do hope it is soon lol

I am not planning on mining this coin but I do find it curious that the block reward is 50 FCH yet if you look at ViaBTC's block rewards - they are awarding only 25 FCH to the miners. Check each block on their explorer and you will see that 25 FCH of every block found is going to https://freecash.info/address?address=FTqiqAyXHnK7uDTXzMap3acvqADK4ZGzts which has 1.5 million FCH in balance. this holds true for blocks found by ViaBTC and by any other pool ViaBTC block: https://freecash.info/block?height=63484unknown pool: https://freecash.info/block?height=63483why is half the block reward being sent to FTqiqAyXHnK7uDTXzMap3acvqADK4ZGzts ? I see nothing that states only half the block rewards would be issued to miners. I assume this is the FCH dev wallet based on the 1mil balance. In their white paper, they do state something about reducing block rewards by 20% each year for 20 years starting with the first years reward of "25F" however, their block explorer shows the reward as "50F" So, unless I am mistaken, something is not quite right with that, or no? ----edit---- after re-reading their white paper, even though it does not specify directly I believe the split off of the block reward is for the governance fund. If so, that explains the splitting of the block reward.

Fees aren't a problem, people purposely scamming you are. I sold 1 phone once, and dude initiated a chargeback the next day even though it wasn't theoretically possible for the phone to arrive in 1 day. The phone was already shipped. Good thing he was a dumbass and he filed a wrong complaint (unauthorized access instead of items&services) so eBay sided with me since we exchanged messages and it was obvious he wasn't hacked when he ordered the phone.
initiating a chargeback is not sufficient for you to lose the money - when using paypal and ebay - they have to PROVE you didn't provide the item. If it is shipped but not arrived, then paypal/ebay can see that - if it has arrived, they are required to send the item back and the seller has to confirm they got it back BEFORE the buyer gets a refund. if he was claiming his card was used without permission, he would still have to send back what he receives. Cannot simply scream fraud and then still keep the goods. The problem with eBay is the "item not as described" claim which is usually an automatic return. The other problem is users returning items to sellers and not actually returning the item and/or returning a different product, in which case it's up to you to file a police report for theft/fraud and eBay doesn't care and counts it as "the price of doing business". Not to mention the new taxes and 13% in fees you pay between eBay and PayPal. true - but there is still protection for the seller - even it involves more paperwork. I avoid them as much as possible just for the fees alone.

just seems like a lot of unnecessary work to create multiple accounts to xfer merit back and forth from and/or working with those to trade merit or even to buy it. However, people do it every day. They also buy legendary and hero accounts daily.
There is no trust or security here other than what one is willing to risk as you can truly never trust anyone here simply based on their account rank and/or merit.

Im not sure what you mean there devindeysel
Maybe he thinks the packages are coming from China, he probably has not read the topic, anyway just out of curisity, have you sent the miners to the buyer directly or to the escrow? 1-Sent to the buyer: What if the miner does not work? what if it does and he claims the opposite? 2-Sent to Escrow: Who will pay the shipping fees from the escrow's address to the buyer's? no offense Stryfe, but escrowing used gears is a lot of trouble for 1%, I hope this deal goes smooth. I think you are right, he prolly thinks this involves China. It does not. 1 - If there are issues with the miner, then we will work towards a mutual solution. Miners were proven to work prior to purchase ie Miners should work after they arrive. There is also 1500 insurance on the item. 2 - The miners are not being sent to me, but directly to the buyer. They did not elect for them to come to me, that is always an option but was not done in this case. yes, 1% is low, but I have zero exposure on the forums doing escrow, I am offering at 1% vs 2-3% in an effort to encourage use of my service.

To update, tracking is showing an estimated delivery date of Feb 11 - so we got about a week to wait.

true, only 2 blocks but that was also when the ramp up was 5Nd - it is now simply 3 days. With the 5Nd there was less attraction for new miners due to the long ramp time. The pool has gained I think 5 or 6 PH since the 3 day ramp change - though no blocks as of yet.
but as with any pplns pool, the rewards may come less frequently but will be significantly higher in value.
as for the 18 or 19 blocks or until halving statement - that was based on Kano several months ago where he stated he would pay .1 btc bonus to block finders for the next 20 blocks or until halving - whichever came first.
I would say he was trying to encourage miners to join the pool.
