So as far as the wallet app is concerned, is this close to the finished product minus some tweaking? I thought it was going to be based on Breadwallet's app? The current FRN app redirects to a website wallet instead of what I thought it would be like, such as Electrum, Breadwallet, etc. where the app would run on the phone
That's right. The mobile wallet is going to be a different application. Apple have an ambiguous policy when it comes to cryptocurrencies and we hope they won't reject it. The actual FRN application you can find on the Appstore and GPlay will still exist though we plan to update it with a new engine and new features. It is currently just a 1.0 version. Also, Android version of the mobile wallet is already on track. All this takes time. The best would be to hire some workforce but we already spent a lot of money, at the same time we're not willing to use the premine. Complicated business. We should soon set up a public founding page, this will centralize all the current projects with a possibility to make public donations. All the invoices and freights related to the project will be published there as well. For example, sending all the packs with the brochures will cost us around 250€. It would be helpful if we could pay these kind of things through donations. Before downloading the newest version of the wallet, I was at least a few hundred "blocks" short of the block explorer's declarations of where the chain was at yet I had about 20 connections. Seemed odd. I downloaded the new version of the wallet and it couldn't even download it from the network, it kept getting stuck (as usual, I really think this should get fixed, it just looks weird when the log file says it can't verify the hash for blocks and that's why it appears to be stopping, but the question is, what's wrong with those blocks that it won't accept them and I have to download the bootstrap?). Then I used a bootstrap and downloaded the rest no problem. Now my wallet says I'm on block "1290827" when the explorer at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/tes/# says we're at "1289441" and I have ~20 connections again. Supposedly there was one block today, but my wallet says there hasn't been one in two days. How was I missing hundreds if not thousands of blocks and now I suddenly have over a thousand extra blocks and I'm not syncing?! And why do I have to "repair" my wallet each time I get a new version of the wallet, seems odd. Oh, and the website doesn't specify the date for the new wallet (it just says something about downloading the newest wallet). I only realized I needed to download a new wallet after visiting the twitter page. I'm not, nor would I think others, would just decide "hey, let me download my wallet again just for kicks" if they were just looking at the webpage. A date would really put it into perspective just in case someone didn't see the tweets. Getinfo shows this: "errors" : "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers." Please follow this instructions If you keep having this problem, I suddenly have over a thousand extra blocks do not stake until we cross the block 1,293,600  HOW TO GET THE NEW WALLET RUNNINGYou can choose from this 2 options: Swap or sync from last bootstrap
A) SWAP
1.1) In windows: Go to /users/(your username)/AppData/Roaming/Teslacoin and rename the folder as TeslacoinOld
1.2) In Mac: /users/(your username)/Library/Application Support and rename the folder as TeslacoinOld
1.3) In Linux:
2) Download the wallet from OP or website links
3) Make sure you're in v.3.3 (In your wallet go to: Help -> About Teslacoin). Close the wallet.
4) Since you have opened the new wallet, a new folder called Teslacoin has been created.
5) Copy the content of TeslacoinOld folder in the new Teslacoin folder
6) Open the wallet
B) SYNC FROM LAST BOOTSTRAP
1.1) In windows: Go to Roaming -> Teslacoin and rename the folder as TeslacoinOld
1.2) In Mac: /users/(your username)/Library/Application Support and rename the folder as TeslacoinOld
1.3) In Linux:

3) Make sure you're in v.3.3 (In your wallet go to: Help -> About Teslacoin). Close the wallet.
4) Download the bootstrap from the OP
5) Replace the files with the downloaded ones
6) Open the wallet
7) Let it sync from peers

- Always keep a copy (or 2 or 3) of your wallet.dat in a safe place (or 2)
- We don't have Mac wallet yet
- We're not moving to the new blockchain until block 1,293,600.

Nice to see Kore coming alive in the markets. These kind of prices are long overdue and hopefully continue moving up. And no, i will not sell you any  ugh, the waiting on the new windows wallet is agonizing. IMO KORE is x10 undervalued at the moment but I am aware what is in store and biased. Putting KORE into hibernation caused some price stagnation and price decline. And yea, I personally get the direct brunt of all issues of the old windows wallet. Hello ! Yes it is planned to send the packs to a few medias both web and mainstream. About the big french corporations I'm afraid none of them would handle all the organization and accounting changes related to a new form of payment such as Francs. That's a big deal. Right now FRN is not even listed on a decent exchange. We don't have a lot of €€€ either so we'll focus on small and middle sized businesses first. About the mobile wallet it should be submitted to the Appstore in a matter of days now. All the packs will be gradually launched as soon as the app is published on the App store. Then we'll follow up by working on the Android version. I understand your strategy of focusing on small and medium size merchants first, but sending a brochure to managers of the biggest corps in the country will make the richest people in the country know about francs. This will mean a lot of investment coming from those families, and that will mean media coverage, more exchanges, more (small and medium) merchants getting interested... Please consider sending the brochure to the (atleast 25) top merchant managers |
