761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Difference Between Plying Gambling on Online Sites and Real Casinos? on: September 12, 2023, 09:08:00 PM
It's probably just about the experience. I won't compare it solely based on convenience, as some may argue that gambling online is very convenient, but there are people who find convenience in gambling at a land-based casino. It ultimately comes down to our preferences, but in terms of the audience, it's clear that online casinos have a larger one.

Preliminary assessments indicate unauthorized transactions involving $ETH, $TRON, and $MATIC. The precise amount of the loss is still being determined, and the affected fund is just a very small portion of CoinEx’s total asset.

I hope this is true, though they have assured that the business will continue to run as the amount stolen is just a small portion. Personally, I'm a bit worried because $18 million+ stolen, in my opinion, is significant, especially considering that this exchange has only a daily trading volume of just over $28 million according to CMC.

Please From where do I begin?

Establish your purpose first, and then we can suggest where to begin. You have already mentioned that bounty campaigns aren't profitable, so you must be planning on investing or trading. However, I just want to have a clear understanding of your purpose, so please answer that first.
764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learning from those who have experience on: September 12, 2023, 12:17:49 PM
I want to ask those of you who have a hard addiction experience in gambling and then you can treat it yourself, and today still playing gambling but with the principle of good management and financial management in gambling.
I want to know how you break away from the addiction, you can mention the actions taken or what kind of steps? And how long do you need time to break away from the addiction that has been experienced?

"I want to find out because I think your experience in the case as I mentioned will be useful for readers, especially for me personally"

The first step is to admit your mistake. That way, you will be able to see the problem and devise a solution. However, although you know the solution, the challenging part is the implementation of the solution. When a gambler is addicted, it's their emotions that dictate them, not their mind, and a lack of intelligence can be very risky, as it can lead to bigger problems.

It's not easy, but it's not impossible. Just keep learning and learning, and eventually, you'll end up becoming a disciplined gambler if you haven't become homeless yet.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Features on any Banking or Financial apps should be Removed on: September 11, 2023, 12:21:50 PM
I don't find it negative, to be honest. Banks want more transactions to increase their income, so that is alright in my opinion. I think what should be promoted is how to be a responsible gambler. Instead of just viewing gambling as a negative thing that could lead to gambling addiction, we should focus on educating people about the risks and promoting responsible gambling.

Business is business; it should not be influenced by religious beliefs or personal beliefs. As long as it's not illegal, it should stay.
766  Economy / Economics / Re: The Bullish Case for Bitcoin, reloaded. on: September 11, 2023, 08:56:29 AM
There's not enough acceptance for me to be able to spend it on the things I need and I don't want to sell it on exchange, especially now when it's so undervalued.

This statement could be debatable, though, in my opinion. How can you say that it's undervalued when there's currently not enough acceptance for bitcoin? Remember that bitcoin has pumped many times, causing FOMO where some people make a lot of money while others experience the opposite. If we believed the price wasn't overvalued at that time, then I think it should not have dumped due to the so-called correction. Isn't it wiser to also consider that at some point, the price is manipulated?

The thing is, if we talk about the basics, only demand would result in an increase in the price of bitcoin. But how is the status of that now? Is the demand really growing? If the answer is yes, then the price could be undervalued currently.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do we benefit in lies in forum on: September 11, 2023, 08:12:06 AM
Not every poster is serious about what they are doing; some just post to meet the requirements of a certain campaign. If you are a reader, you can always choose information that you would like to absorb, something that could help you grow as an investor. For me, the most valuable posts that help me are the opinions of the users in the forum. I know some forum users who provide valuable comments; let's say they are experts in a certain topic, so I benefit from their insights.

Mate, this is a big forum, just like a community; not everyone is helpful, so choose what you think is helpful for you. And since it's a forum, we can get honest opinions here from different users, unlike in a certain channel or a well-written article that provides information and opinions solely based on the writer's mind.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 10, 2023, 03:05:03 PM
Dennis Schroder - Tissot FIBA 2023 MVP

He deserved this; he can really be trusted. He was their best player, and he didn't fail the team in the Finals game. It's the great interior defense of Germany that made the Serbians focus their offense outside, and when the shots aren't falling, it's easy for Germany to capitalize on it. I was a bit happy with Serbia's run; they were able to trim the lead of Germany to 3 points only in the 4th quarter. But Germany did not panic; they remained composed and were really eager to bring home the trophy.

Franz Wagner was instrumental to the success of Germany.

No program can guarantee a daily return when it comes to investment; that's completely off for me, and I'll consider it a 'SCAM' right away. Don't get me wrong, but that's how it is – it's the principle of investing. Stay away from investments that seem too good to be true.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 10, 2023, 10:57:17 AM
The USA didn't play well against Canada. The third quarter is over, and Canada is leading by 9 points. We know that the USA won't give up, but they are in a precarious situation. Hopefully, they will be able to come back so I won't lose my bet on the moneyline. I'm also placing an extra bet on the USA moneyline with 3.40 odds. Good luck!
A few minutes have passed and the USA managed to tie the game...
I confess that I also bet on the US team, well, I believe if they maintain this performance, probably they will beat Canada (I hope so)
The last shot by Mikal Bridges brought the game to overtime. Unfortunately, the USA struggled in the extra period, and it appears they won't be getting the Bronze. It was the worst performance by the USA, and they need to be evaluated to prevent such occurrences in the future. I would like to congratulate Canada; they performed well tonight and beat the USA. Another seemed to be unsportsmanlike foul was called on Portis before the game ended; they were clearly frustrated.

There is a lot of work for them to do in the near future, but to be honest I think Canada and Germany have played very well against them with an extremely good hit rate from all distances.
The USA had big comebacks in the 4th quarter in both games but still ended up losing in the end. Against Germany, they only lost by 2 points, while against Canada, they had a chance to win in overtime after an unbelievable shot from Bridges. It's just that their execution wasn't consistent.

I was wondering if the score is normal like that. In four quarters scoring 111:111 for the two teams before overtime started, isn't that a hell lot of points?  Each quarter is just 10 minutes and this is a score average that I thought would be way above of what is normally to be expected.
They are playing at a high pace, and their three-point shooting percentage is high. Canada was able to keep up with the USA as their starters are also from the NBA, so the NBA system was used; it's just that Canada played better than the USA. By the way, Brooks scored 39 points; that's how valuable he is, and I think the Rockets weren't wrong in signing him to a decent contract.

But USA was the big favorite and I think they had a hard time to motivate themselves to play for 3rd as good as they would play as if it was for the title. This was a disappointing tournament for them.
They can't even win the Bronze; they need to carefully study what's wrong and make sure to correct it for the Olympics. They can't afford to let what happened here occur again. They used to dominate this competition, but now they are just a big hype.
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 09, 2023, 05:31:02 PM
Now, the Finals will be more unpredictable.

It's official: Serbia vs. Germany.

I'm eagerly waiting for the betting odds. I think Serbia will be the slight favorite here, but regardless, I would still bet on Serbia to win. Germany could be stopped if Schroder is limited, which might make them struggle a bit, but it's a question of how Serbia will accomplish that.
Both really are unpredictable and it wasn't expected that they'll be the teams to reach the finals. I'm on that thought of what if is Jokic was even part of the national team of Serbia then for sure that many will choose them as the favorites.

The odds for this match aren't that much and it seems that they're just equal. It's hard to have an insight when odds are like this.

You'll never know what could happen tomorrow but both Germany and Serbia deserve to be there when everybody thought that it's Canada and USA that will face in the finals.
It turns out Germany was the slight favorite to win, but the difference wasn't so significant, so let's call it a 50-50 game. If I recall correctly, this is the first time I've witnessed both teams viewed with equal chances to win, and that makes it very interesting to watch, as fans will be cheering for both. If it had been the USA that advanced to the Finals, it wouldn't be as interesting as it is now, so there's a reason why we witnessed two upsets in the semi-finals.

By the way, fans, please don't miss this game. It will start in less than 24 hours, so bookmark the time of the game and don't forget to bet as well, since this is the last game.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government vs Bitcoin on: September 08, 2023, 03:20:18 PM
Governments frequently misunderstand bitcoin innovation.
This impression arises from the disproportionate bans and regulations they enact.
Although occasionally the bitcoin regulations appear unreasonable, I posit that bitcoin is not as detrimental as suggested. Please correct me if I am wrong.

The government does understand Bitcoin because if they didn't, they could have banned it. What's happening is that they are regulating Bitcoin and the entire crypto market, so that's a statement that they understand it. If we had to choose, would we prefer to see Bitcoin banned or regulated?

I understand what you mean about the complete anonymity, right? However, forget about that; it's not realistic anymore as we are not in the early stages. Whether we like it or not, the government will function, and no one is above them, which means they will regulate everything.

Canada vs. Slovenia is up next. According to the bookies, Canada is the heavy favorite to win. But who among us here believes we're going to see an upset?

On the sportsbook I'm using, here are the odds:

Canada: 1.31 or -7.5
Slovenia: 3.65 or +7.5

Can Luka carry his team?

The game has started. Well, considering this is a do-or-die game and Slovenia is still a decent team, I think I would choose the handicap. Canada is probably the next best team after Team USA, but this is a big challenge for them. Let's see how they'll compete against Slovenia. If they win this game dominantly, it would prove they are ready for the next stage.

I'm rooting for LUKA! I hope he gets this big win.

Too bad for Luka; he got ejected from the game when they were down big. It was a mental game. Slovenia had a great start, but they lost their focus in the second half because they complained too much and played less. There's more physicality in FIBA compared to the NBA, so I understand why Luka was complaining, as he can easily draw fouls with his style of play in the NBA. However, this is different, and it's a quarter-finals game. He should have been more patient and continued to play hard to inspire his teammates.

Anyway, congratulations to Canada. They put in a great effort in the second half and secured a big win while also managing the spread for bettors.

Most of centralized sites that still operate after get hacked are big and popular sites, that's why it's possible for Stake to maintain their reputation and recover their losses. Funds aren't always been safe, depends on how much the money they have that still not compromised by the hacker.

Every centralized sites are prone to be hacked.

The site is still active, so it's not that nothing happened. This publicity is even good for them because even if they lose money, they can still continue to operate. Just like when Binance was hacked, they have something called SAFU funds, and traders aren't affected. Perhaps their funds are insured elsewhere because it's necessary for businesses that handle large amounts of money to have insurance.

I tried to search how much this site is making, and I found some discussions from way back, like this one.

Yes, centralized websites always have holes for hackers to find. So we can get updates and patches of web pages.
Big sites will be willing to compensate players. They will instill more trust in players by releasing regular updates. I see Binance has a super secure advanced update panel. They did very well.
I need big sites that will reward hackers who find their vulnerabilities. This is a safe solution with the added benefit of ads, Like Apple did.

I think big sites have that kind of program. It's a good way, though, to test their website to see if it's easy to exploit or not. As I mentioned, insurance is really necessary because they never know what could happen. Maybe they lose an amount that they can manage to replace, but what if next time it's a very significant amount that gets stolen? This site is huge and making a lot of money, so it's common sense to think that they will do everything to protect their investment and continue growing the business in the long run.

They once had 1 million raffle tickets in a week. That means 1 billion dollars wagered. On a 4% house edge which is the average of all their games, they make $40 million. They also give half their profit back to the players in terms of affiliate commission, level up bonuses, weekly bonus, daily reload, rakeback and monthly bonus. And after paying for everything such as servers and their workers, I’d say definitely over 15 million a week.

So I think the amount stolen isn't huge enough to disrupt their operation.

This thread is not necessary. You have a gambling site to run, and I think you should post this information on your ANN thread. Everyone here is well aware that reputable gambling sites have the necessary security measures to protect our money when gambling. I believe there are many such sites out there, and perhaps your site is one of them. However, as I mentioned, this thread is no longer necessary, as users will choose to gamble on your site if it's reputable.

The team that beat the USA has been eliminated. Serbia defeated them by a huge margin, with a 21-point victory, their best win so far. Just imagine, that's the team that defeated the USA, so I think if Serbia meets the USA, which I'm sure they will, they will be the underdog. I believe they have a shot.

Meanwhile, the USA vs. Italy game is next. In an hour from now, we will witness another quarter-final game. Hopefully, this won't be a one-sided game, as I bet on Italy's handicap.

Full story for the first game, for those who hasn't seen the game.

Lithuania vs. Serbia
Italy vs. USA

Any thoughts?

USA is not going to lose against Italy; they've learned their lesson, so they will play harder this game. I wouldn't touch this game, though, as the spread is very high. Considering their previous loss, they might not cover the spread anymore. Instead, I would just focus my bet on Lithuania vs. Serbia. Since Lithuania has already beaten the USA, there's no question which team I would bet on.
