761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining with AMD still worth it? on: February 25, 2018, 05:27:11 AM
So I've been trying to build another mining rig but because of the Nvidia price's now.  I'm thinking about RX 580's...do you guys think it's still worth mining with 580's on ETH or even dual mining?    I tried to look more info on it but with no luck.   So let me know what you guys think

Jeff-

Well, price really matters. There's a comparison here, http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1070-vs-AMD-RX-580/3609vs3923 and for more insights, you may want to visit this thread, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2045108.0 .
762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO LIVE] Boosteroid - personal cloud computer available for everyone on: February 25, 2018, 03:21:02 AM

Fucking scammers, if I knew what would be necessary to UNDERSTAND who to send my documents, I would not participate in the campaign bounty

Yes. Maybe, they're really SCAMMERS and they don't want to pay bounties to participants that's why there are so many requirements being asked here, https://boosteroidkyc.typeform.com/to/gN2zEz This is the first time I encountered such, and it's not mentioned when I or we joined their bounties, what required was only our ERC20 compatible ETH address FOR THEM TO SEND OUR BOUNTIES.

They don't even have WHITEPAPER, and SMART CONTRACTS needed as securities for investors.

So, I advise you, guys, not fill-up the requirements being asked, such as email address, passport and driver's license. They will use those pieces of information in their future SCAM ACTIVITIES WHERE YOU MIGHT BE INVOLVED.

I am now starting deleting all my tweets, retweets, and FB shares. It's 1000% these scammers won't pay us even a single cent.

That's right. Tomorrow will be created the spreadsheet with participants who passed KYC.

Good luck, Amigo. If they're really want to pay us, why don't they just send it to our ETH address? Why are they very interested in our email, passport, driver's license and country origin?

764  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Boycott Coinmarketcap - allowing ponzi to advertise on: February 25, 2018, 12:42:29 AM
We shouldn't recommend coinmarketcap.com to anyone. They are still advertising ponzis on their site. They should know better! No respect for us or newbies at all. Right now I find this garbage site in banner at top: https://profitablemorrows.com/

It's a paid advertisement and I think they need fund also to stay online. Why bother yourself with such advertisement it's not your purpose in visiting CMC. No one is forcing us to visit coinmarketcap, we are free to go to similar sites with no ads, like http://coincap.io/.

Very interesting indeed. Just wonder how did you come-up with the stats (reliable x.xx responses: xxx) of every token and/or ICO project you published here. I could guess the responses but the reliability I can't figure out how you got it.  Huh

Looking forward to this project. It's awesome and sounds interesting as it represents a solid team. And I have no doubt it's John McAfee White Paper Production Service team produced this project whitepaper.

771  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Plano ko mag mine ng bitcoin on: February 24, 2018, 05:38:05 AM
Mahirap ba talaga pag mining sabi kasi sa akin dapat 24/7 open computer o laptop at magastos.

No, it's not... but if you will just use a laptop or desktop with only 1 GPU it would really hard to have decent earnings. So, to be profitable you need quite a big sum of money to build a mining rig as an investment and with at least 6 GPUs or graphics cards in it.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best build mining rig on: February 24, 2018, 04:17:07 AM
I plan to enter mining , and i dont have idea what is the best graphics and motherboard to build a mining rig, and the power supply ,

As a starter, I would suggest you build 6 GPUs mining rig which less expensive than building 7 or more GPUs. The good thing here is that you can sell your rig once you want to upgrade to 7 GPUs and above. The following are hardware you need to build your rig and you're going to mine Ethereum for example...

Graphics Cards:
EVGA 1050 Ti FTW - Average Hash Speed: 14 MH/s
MSI GTX 1060 ARMOR OCV1 6GB - Average Hash Speed: 24.75 MH/s
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Ti - Average Hash Speed: 31.7 MH/s
Nvidia GeForce GTX1080Ti - Average Hash Speed: 36 MH/s

Motherboard
ASRock H81 Pro BTC R2.0
GIGABYTE GA-H110-D3A

CPU
Intel BX80662G4400 Pentium Processor
Intel CPU BX80662G3900 Celeron G3900
Intel 3.70 GHz Core i3-6100 3M Cache

Powersupply
EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G3, 80 Plus Gold 850W
Corsair CP-9020139-NA HX1000 1000W 80 Plus Platinum
Seasonic X-850(SS-850KM3 Active PFC F3) 850W 80 Plus Gold ATX12V/EPS12V

Storage/Hard Drive
SanDisk SSD PLUS 120GB Solid State Drive (SDSSDA-120G-G26)
Kingston A400 120GB
Silicon Power 60GB SSD S60 MLC High Endurance

RAM
Kingston HyperX FURY Black 4GB 2133MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL14 DIMM Desktop Memory (HX421C14FB/4)
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory 1.5V
Ballistix Sport LT 4GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200) DIMM 288-Pin

With the above 6GPU setup, you will need also 6 PCI-E risers and rig case which you can buy online via Amazon or eBay. Or, build your own rig case, it's so easy simply go to youtube and search for 'mining rig case tutorials' and you'll find a lot.
And tingin nyo magkano ung kikitain ko per day ?

i7 is too expensive, I would recommend you buy Intel Celeron G1840 instead or any G series. Since you will be using only 1 GPU you can't mine Bitcoin directly with your computer. So, you'll be needing MinerGate and NiceHash Miner where you can download the app online and start mining coins such Ethereum, Monero, Zcash, etc., then convert those coins to bitcoin. But since you only have 1 GTX 1070 it would take time or years before you earn 0.1 ETH or even 0.001 BTC... you're lucky if you earns 0.01 BTC in 1 year.  You can compute it here, https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/eth?HashingPower=20&HashingUnit=MH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=140&CostPerkWh=0.12&MiningPoolFee=1...

then convert it here,  https://currencio.co/usd/btc/

Tanong ko lang kung ano sa palagay niyo ang maganda ethereum web wallet yun walang minimum na kaialangan na pumasok sa address mo?

I recommend you use MetaMask Ethereum wallet. What I mean here is after you create your wallet at MyEtherWallet.com you will open or move to MetaMask. If you do that it will give you 3 benefits as explained here, https://myetherwallet.github.io/knowledge-base/migration/moving-from-private-key-to-metamask.html... if you're too lazy to open the link it's below...

Quote
1. If you use MetaMask, it is far less likely you will be phished or affected by a phishing site as your key remains in MetaMask and the fake website will not be able to steal it.

2. It is by far the fastest, easiest way to unlock your wallet via MyEtherWallet.com & completely free. You just click a button. No more searching for keys or keystore files!

3. MetaMask will block you w/ a big red warning if you go to a malicious site found on our blacklists. Look at all these crypto phishing websites!

776  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: maganda ba mag invest sa bagong labas na ICO?? on: February 23, 2018, 04:34:04 AM
I think this is a matter of luck and probability. There are chances kasi na feeling mo ang ganda ng ICO na iyon, feeling mo successful siya pero at the end hindi. Meron din naman na nag susucced. May ibang times pa ma scam so sayang investment.

Ako ang basis ko na successful ang isang ICO kapag ang daming reply sa thread nila.  Grin

What about those ICOs that don't have the thread here in bitcointalk and other forums online? Actually, there are lots of ICOs and those that have threads here I think represent only a small percentage of all ICOs.

With regards to the subject or topic, I would suggest before investing in any ICO projects it's a good practice to, first conduct your own research so as not to be scammed. You may want to read this article, https://blockgeeks.com/how-not-to-be-scammed-by-a-initial-coin-offering/

777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell All Altcoins and Just HODL ETH or BTC! Which is better? on: February 22, 2018, 08:59:19 AM
I have few Altcoins like TIO, TRX, EBCH, CMT, REBEL. And, TIO price was 1.43$ Per coin but I did not sell them, I was holding them for more profits and now TIO price is 0.37$ Per coin. CMT, WRC went to 0.55$ You know and now 0.17$,  I haven't sold them too. People were telling HODL HODL and then I HOLD and Now I am suffering very much Because At this moment, I need money but I can't sell, I am feeling too panic.

So, What should I do Now? Should I sell all altcoins and make them ETH or BTC and HODL them? Please suggest me.

Thank You

Don't commit the same mistake I've made before where I hold all of my coins valued more or less $400. After 10 days what left was just a messy $105. So, if I were you I'll convert or sell those coins and buy Bitcoin or Ethereum. That would be a nice decision and you won't regret it.

I wish to be a bounty manager, what is the requirement? How can I be a good manager, which step can I take to be manager.

Hello! I am a newbie, I don't know how to become a bounty mananger!!! Please help me!

As far as I know, there's no requirement and it's entirely up to the project owner to choose who will manage their ANN or Bounty thread. But it's also a common sense for those who will apply for such position to examine yourself first... ask yourself if you're really fit for such a job. You should also have a better command of English and have mastered all the forum rules, such as the following...

779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] CryptoBitcoin - The Collectible Game on Blockchain on: February 21, 2018, 10:41:33 AM
Please note that we are working on finishing the whitepaper, this is normal with many ICOs. There is only subscribing open at this moment, we will notify when the whitepaper is released, please have patience.
Please do not leave unfair derogatory comments as there is no crodwdfund started before we release the whitepaper. Please be responsible posters,  do not spread FUD.

What?! Your Pre-ICO will be commencing this 28 Feb 2018 and until now you have no whitepaper. I don't buy your excuse that's normal with many ICOs... I guess what you're referring to are SCAM ICOs. I'll give you bits of advice from a certain developer, which I quoted below...

Quote
1. At the start of pre-ICO team should have a contract for automatic assets transfer, that contains a written set of rules for early investors – not on towel, not in the speaking form, but written in the smart-contract.  Otherwise, collected assets can just fall in the pockets of founders, or they can change rules of the game in the middle of act – there are many examples.

2. The contract for pre-ICO should be a part of a bigger contract on ICO and do not be different tokens – it is unsafe form a standpoint of vulnerability and withdrawal of funds.

3. The contract for pre-ICO, and then on ICO should have a lower and upper barrier - if it does not – the team does not know what it wants - just a scam.

4. The contract for ICO should have escrow of the funds, received as a result of placement - it can be a frieze or multiSig with a voting condition. This will give you a guarantee against the expenditure of funds earlier than the team completed the previous stage.

5. The contract should have indisputable return of funds condition, in case of not reaching the lower limit of the collected pool. It is in the contract and not in the white book, if it is not – move on, it’s just a scum.

6. All contracts must be posted on GitHub, this will enable third-party developers to check the contract for the vulnerability, if the team has not taken care and before the ICO has not posted a bounty on the vulnerability.

7. The contract must specify the conditions for the team and for the bounty’s for vulnerability.

8. The contract must specify the conditions for not traded tokens - with clearly defined deadlines.

Please take note of the highlighted words that the contract must be, "not on towel, not in the speaking form, but written in the smart-contract. Otherwise, collected assets can just fall in the pockets of founders, or they can change rules of the game in the middle of act – there are many examples."
780  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: may mga fake din bang coins or altcoins? on: February 21, 2018, 05:25:13 AM
Walang fake coins kasi lahat yan may contract address, and etc etc. Di mo madduplicate ang isang coin para matawag na fake. Although walang fake meron naman at marami ung mga scam na coins, project and ICO, perfect example ng scams ay Onion at Bitconnect.

Maybe you're right there are no fake coins. And while it's true that some ICO projects are SCAM as it can be detected based on what's stated in their whitepaper, but it's really hard to prove it because it will consume lots of energy, effort, and time researching... more especially if the whitepaper is well-organized and/or very well presented... adding to that is the project admin is active on the forum, answering questions from bounty participants and investors alike.
