7721  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-15] independent - The End of the 'Crypto Bro' on: August 17, 2018, 11:44:38 PM
@gentlemand. They laugh on the Winklevoss brothers now but they have the chance to be one of first trillionaires in the world.

I reckon there were many dreamers in the past that had the imagination to change the world but they were ridiculed because they were not understood.
7722  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-14] - Reports: India’s Crypto Regulations Delayed, Government Considers on: August 17, 2018, 11:31:39 PM
There was already news about India delaying any regulatory decisions about bitcoin and the cryptospace, is this the same news or is this the second delay.

I reckon they are slowly learning that they cannot regulate bitcoin without starting bad precedents hehehe.
7723  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-15] New Transport Layer bloXroute Promises to Solve Bitcoin’s Biggest P on: August 17, 2018, 11:26:06 PM
@Kakmakr. Using all of your years of following the cryptospace, do you reckon that bloXroute labs white paper is a good idea on first look?

Also, there were 3 letters in the white paper that shows it might be a scam. I C O hehehe.
7724  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-15] New Transport Layer bloXroute Promises to Solve Bitcoin’s Biggest P on: August 16, 2018, 11:02:37 PM
Christ, when I thought I've seen everything.

First, they are putting an ICO out there for their funding - great, just what we needed, another shit-token for raising funds.

Second, they have the following in their whitepaper:

Quote
"To  achieve  scalability, bloXroute utilizes  (i) system-wide caching that enables faster propagation and Gigabyte-
size blocks
, and (ii) cut-through routing that enables swift and efficient transmission of blocks through the network."

"In essence, bloXroute implements and provides an efficient broadcast primitive to the blockchain nodes, via a network
of Gateways, making them operate as if they are on the same Local Area Network, while in reality they might be residing at
opposite parts of the globe."

They are comparing it to a "broadcast" network model, which doesn't scale worth a shit. And what the fuck is up with that GIGABYTE SIZED BLOCK shit?

Oh, there's more of this shit sandwich:

Quote
"Cryptocurrencies require no protocol change beyond adjusting the block size and inter-block time interval to fully utilize bloXroute’s capacity."

OH? Is that all? You just want us to increase the blocksize and change the confirm rate? Gosh golly gee, where did these people come from -- have they not paid attention
to what is going on in the cryptocurrency space for the last fucking YEAR or so?

Here's a great article why the stupid shit mentioned in bloXroute's whitepaper isn't going to work - broadcast vs unicast -- https://medium.com/@melik_87377/lightning-network-enables-unicast-transactions-in-bitcoin-lightning-is-bitcoins-tcp-ip-stack-8ec1d42c14f5

You've got to be fucking kidding me with this BLOXCRAP bullshit.

Oh, and Jgilpulg -- posting that huge image was a good tip-off that this thing was a piece of shit too.

Thank you for the whitepaper review. It was not that hard for you to notice that it was a scam I presume hehehe.

In any case, I want to know why the bitcoinist printed that scam, who requested them to and also if they were paid to.
7725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: August 16, 2018, 02:40:21 AM
@Juggy777. I reckon 1 of these 3. Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly or Brendon Hartley. But for me, I want Carlos Sainz to drive beside Max. He is the most ready and has the most experience if compared to the 2 Toro Rosso drivers.

But Carlos Sainz is set to replace Fernando Alonso in McLaren, according to some articles hehehe.
7726  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-15] New Transport Layer bloXroute Promises to Solve Bitcoin’s Biggest P on: August 16, 2018, 02:25:33 AM
@Kprawn. I reckon it might be offchain but it will not be like the Lightning Network. bloxRoute proposes a new compression idea and have compressed blocks be sent using another transport layer underneath the blockchain.

There is a whitepaper mentioned in the article.

https://bloxroute.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/bloXroute-whitepaper.pdf

Can a qualified person read and analyze that and share his thoughts?
7727  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-15] Is Bitcoin A “Cult”? A Former Paypal CEO Seems To Think So on: August 16, 2018, 02:06:37 AM
@everyone. Bill Harris is no one in the cryptospace and in the internet payments industry. He is also known be the person who quit Paypal 2 months later after the merger with an online bank because he did not see a bright future ahead of internet payments.

He knows nothing.

@LesPristy. The radio wave mesh network project? Do you have working prototypes? Showing a screenshot of them would be appreciated, thank you hehehe.

Also, when is your estimated time of release? I know this might only be your hobby, but give us the worst estimate when.
7729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: August 15, 2018, 01:31:39 AM
@LTU_btc. Agreed. He took the risk and the idealistic move by driving for McLaren, and tried to rebuild the team to get a championship, the same as what he did for Renault where he won 2 championships. I will miss him. This sport will be reduced without him.

7730  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-13]Study Finds Google Search can Forecast Bitcoin Price Rises on: August 15, 2018, 01:12:50 AM
This is already known by many people in the community. There were already many Reddit posts in the past that showed Google trend searches for bitcoin and other cryptocoins to determine increased interest.

They were good for our amusement but they were not taken seriously.
7731  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-14] Binance Denies 400 BTC Listing Quote on: August 15, 2018, 12:55:11 AM
@1Referee. What were the ICOs that were known to pay the 400 bitcoin fee on Binance? I reckon they were asking for 20 bitcoins when someone from the Aeon community inquired about cryptocoin listings.

Also, 400 - 1000 bitcoins might be an exaggeration. It would be impossible for Binance to list anything if that was their asking price hehehe.
7732  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might be $5000 short term, $1000 longterm if support is broken - Sosnick on: August 14, 2018, 02:33:21 AM
yndye. It has only been barely broken, I reckon. Most of the time, we see it come back to $6000 and more after only 2 to 3 days.

Sosnick also did say that the decision on the ETF coming on September 30 might bring it up to $7000.
7733  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io - Now accepting Ethereum!⚽ 🏆 Top Booster Price Boost Promo 🎉 on: August 14, 2018, 02:23:21 AM
@game-protect. We are thankful for the concern, but I reckon you are only trying too hard to promote your own website and the referral links of casino sites in them by attacking the competing gambling sites here on bitcointalk.

Also, problems will arise in any gambling site, from inaccesability because of a technical problem to frozen funds because investigations for alleged cheating. I reckon you do not have much experience in gambling using different gambling sites? I do, and I have encountered many problems in withdrawals but all of them were resolved after some delay.
7734  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin might be $5000 short term, $1000 longterm if support is broken - Sosnick on: August 14, 2018, 02:01:33 AM
This is not a clickbait doom article, but a simple analysis, by Sosnick of Interactive Brokers, of what might happen if bitcoin has completely broken the $6000 floor.

I reckon this is one of the most practical analysis that I have seen, but I hope his longterm speculation will not happen hehehe. It might also be an exaggeration, I reckon.

7735  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-14] Binance Denies 400 BTC Listing Quote on: August 14, 2018, 01:37:53 AM
@ruthbabe. The Expanse cofounder is exaggerating, I reckon. But I heard Binance's listing fee is one of the highest among all exchanges in the cryptospace, when a member of the Aeon community inquired for a listing in the exchange.
7736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: August 14, 2018, 01:28:43 AM
I'm pessimistic about AEON's price in the long term, say 5 years from now. AEON is insufficiently differentiated from Monero to have much chance of benefiting from it's own network effect.

I'd be in favor of doing something with AEON that Monero won't do, such as sticking with an ASIC-friendly approach.

Agreed, and I suggested that before the ASIC killing hardfork, but the whole community was against centralization and the industrialization of Aeon mining. The hobby miners also did not want their golden goose taken away from them.

It was a missed chance for Aeon to secure more hashrate and become the one of the most secure among most altcoins.
7737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: August 13, 2018, 02:41:24 AM
More dumps, but now from the longterm holders who are discouraged by the bear market, I reckon. The whales should be happy buying all the cheap coins again hehehe.

But can Aeon follow the same success of Monero? I remember the Monero community was stronger than Aeon in bearish times.
7738  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚾️Daily Game and Live Odds on MLB ⚾️ safe. anonymous. the future of betting on: August 13, 2018, 02:23:26 AM
Why would a bitcoin sportsbook or casino site ban people from some countries? Would that not be against bitcoin's core peer to peer nature?

In any case, should Nitrogensports start having a TOR link and start accepting Monero or Aeon?
7739  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-11]Market Survey: 41% of Americans Not Interested in Investing in Crypt on: August 13, 2018, 02:11:45 AM
They chose the wrong time not to be interested hehe. I reckon that the same 41% will be more than interested when the bull enters the market to make them feel the fear of missing out.

7740  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-12] Bitcoin Price Watch: Currency’s Market Dominance Grows Stronger on: August 13, 2018, 02:05:02 AM
I am disappointed that the article did not mention what altcoin lost the most to surrender some of its portion of the market. I reckon the biggest loser would be Ethereum hehehe.
