6981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: February 13, 2019, 02:01:28 AM
@Cryprotourist. Agreed on the mini bull runs. However, Grin might always come down to near its bottom for the next 10 years after each pump because of the high inflation rate.

Unless, we see a miracle of demand similar to bitcoin hehehe.
6982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS and Ethereum might be pumped in China this year on: February 13, 2019, 01:20:10 AM
I reckon the pump is on. However, it appears that EOS might be pumped more than Ethereum. I also speculate that Ethereum might end its position within the top 5 in 3 years more or less.
6983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 1: Ngannou vs Velasquez Prediction and Info Thread on: February 12, 2019, 04:57:12 AM
Agreed that Cain is the best heavyweight, however he has been out of the octagon for 2 years. How would we know that he would be the same Cain Velasquez? Also, he has been suffering with reoccuring injuries in all of his career in the UFC.
6984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: February 12, 2019, 04:39:18 AM
@infofront. Was he using a 2hr chart? I reckon that it implies that the next market cycle would also be as long as only 2 to 3 weeks hehehe.
6985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Generational change – the most powerful Bitcoin price catalyst on: February 12, 2019, 04:07:32 AM
I have no comments for this article except to say that I agree.

Also, generational change will not only be a price catalyst for bitcoin alone. It might also be a price catalyst for other cryptocoins that might help create a new economy without the banking monarchs and their puppet politicians.

Welcome to the final frontier hehehe.

Kraken VP Austin Alexander

Alexander, who Co-Founded Wall Street’s Bitcoin Centre in 2013, revealed his moment of realisation while speaking to Australian crypto trader and educator Craig Cobb on the Trader Cobb Crypto Show.

“Four years ago now, I was working with some young kids in New York City… They needed to buy some kind of chips or something from China,” said Alexander.

“I was giving them some advice and looking at some plans and stuff and I said ok, you’re going to need to send this big wire over to China to pay for these goods and neither of these kids had a bank account."

“I explained to them what they’re going to need to do and they thought it was a joke, they couldn’t believe how contrived and difficult this process was when all they had known in their short financial experience… All they had known is Bitcoin and Bitcoin works, they trust it and it works and its normal to them.”

He says more Bitcoin price waves like we saw in 2017, will only help the cause.

“Each one of those waves you have more and more people, who at all levels, more people who are becoming introduced to the concept of Bitcoin for the first time.

“Bitcoin is very different, different than anything that has come before, it has overlaps with money, it has overlaps with commodities… The fact is that it’s a brand new file in people’s brains."

“Through the ups and the downs, mind share and the kind of global understanding that Bitcoin exists and the global understanding of the dynamics of Bitcoin, is what makes Bitcoin valuable, that mind share is just increasing and I think with that it’s just going to be normalised.

6986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Technical analysts becoming bullish on bitcoin on: February 12, 2019, 03:19:43 AM
@figmentofmyass. It might also be Tom Lee and Fundstrat that bought all those bitcoins that caused the small pump. We will see him go to more financial news shows again to hype the merchandise hehehe.

In any case, have we always been under Tom Lee's games? Was he selling when he was hyping his $25k prediction last year to fool everyone to buy while he was selling? Is he fooling everyone to buy along side of him today?
6987  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-04] Ex Bitcoin Foundation chair claims billions ahead of Mt.Gox victims on: February 12, 2019, 02:54:13 AM
OK so I'm perusing stories for my next news roundup article...

Can someone explain to me what the appeal of a GOX reboot is? Its like re-invigorating a movie franchise that everyone hated. The Mighty Ducks Part III.

Is it pretty much just to satisfy duped customers? Not sure a GOXCoin is gonna cut it.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/goxrising-movement-aims-to-reboot-mt-gox-exchange-make-gox-coin-for-creditors

If I was his mother I'd go round his house, drive a police battering ram into his solar plexus and circumcise him while he thrashed on the floor of his hallway.

I forget if I told you this already but you are quite the poet and you write a lot of passages that I can't help but visualize... ouch.

Is there a reboot or is there only a rumor of a reboot? I heard a Brock Pierce is making a deal to purchase MtGox, however Mark Karpeles denied that there was no purchase agreement drafted and record of payments for shares.
6988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: February 11, 2019, 03:38:28 AM
This pump is good. However, am I the only person who does not think that it will not be long before the inflation begins pushing the price down again? Year 2 will have 100% inflation.

@VB1001. More views might also be more hype, I reckon. Grin is also a new project.
6989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2019 Betting on: February 11, 2019, 03:21:35 AM
Roma is only the 5th film to be nominated for best picture and best foreign film at the same time. However, it will be the first time in history for a film to win in those 2 categories at the same time if Roma wins both.

I reckon this might not occur. Cold War might win best foreign film and the odds is good on 6.75 hehe.

6990  Economy / Speculation / Technical analysts becoming bullish on bitcoin on: February 11, 2019, 02:40:49 AM
According to Tom Lee, however hehehe. He is back and he is very bullish as always when he was interviewed in Fox Business. He also mentioned that bitcoin's fair value is his $25k price prediction of 2017 ahahahahaa!

Citing, a piece of analysis from the ill-named “Magic Poop Cannon,” a well-followed, yet oddly titled crypto trader, Lee remarked that technical analysts that were bearish in early-2019 are becoming “incrementally bullish” on BTC. But why is that?

According to the analysis that Lee, a former managing partner at JP Morgan & Chase, cited, the odds are increasing that the “Bitcoin Bear” is dead. Magic, who made a comment that BTC is most likely to bottom at $2,000 earlier this week, remarked that Friday’s jaw-dropping rally presents a positive technical case for the flagship cryptocurrency.

The trader remarked that Friday’s 8% move, which set BTC above $3,700, rallied back into a triangle formation that was important before the late-January sell-off. Magic claims that if BTC can close its daily candle above ~$3,600, “this [will be] very bullish.”

As hinted at earlier, Lee’s recent “hopium” high comes after he made an appearance on American television to talk Bitcoin. He explained on-air that $25,000 is a “fair value” for the leading cryptocurrency, citing the thirst for an uncorrelated digital asset that isn’t only used for speculative purposes, but as a newfangled form of money and store of value too.

6991  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-2-8]New Zealand Authorities Make Progress Investigating Cryptopia Hack on: February 11, 2019, 01:57:06 AM
I understand that no details can be revealed during the ongoing investigation. But what is the point of the news then? I bet people that have suffered from the hack are sick from hearing such statements as "excellent progress is being achieved" while seeing no actual progress on the matter. Police should not only arrest the thieves but retrieve all the stolen money from them. And only when that is done they can make statements that can be really interesting to read.

There is no point for this article except coinidol.com's way of making you click the link so they can get more hits. Read the title. It is a trick to cause you to you think that there are new updates on the hack.

But updates are updates hehehe.
6992  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-2-8]US SEC to Approve Bitcoin ETF Soon, Commissioner Robert Jackson Reveal on: February 11, 2019, 01:36:11 AM
coinidol is such trash. he definitely didn't imply anything about "soon" and he didn't even say it was inevitable. here's the full quote:

Quote
Eventually, do I think someone will satisfy the standards that we’ve laid out there? I hope so, yes, and I think so. Getting the stamp of approval from the deepest and most liquid capital markets in the world is hard, and it should be. Once we make it available to everyday mom and pop investors, we are taking risks that Americans can get hurt.

he hopes and thinks that eventually an ETF application will meet their standards.....

Agreed. Another clickbait title from that site. However, news like these appear when the bitcoin hype machine is beginning to move again hehehe. This might the a sign.
6993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 234: Whittaker vs Gastelum Prediction and Info Thread on: February 10, 2019, 12:15:00 AM
Robert Whittaker was pulled out of the fight because of a hernia in his abdomen. Kelvin might not have another opportunity to challenge Robert Whittaker after this, I reckon. Dana has said that the winner of Anderson versus Israel Adesanya will be for the no.1 rank in middleweight.

The winner will also clearly be Robert's new challenger.
6994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is buying GRIN a good decision now? on: February 09, 2019, 04:59:34 AM
@Little Mouse. The present supply should not matter, however inflation should. Grin will have an inflation rate of over 10% for the next 10 years, over 5% for the next 25 years.

Compare that to dogecoin's price pattern which presently has a 4.45% yearly inflation and you might not like what you see.
6995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: February 09, 2019, 04:32:01 AM
@Cryptotourist. Grin was under heavy manipulation when it was pumped from $2 to $14. The dump we are witnessing now is Grin's monetary inflation working as expected, I reckon. We might also see it follow dogecoin's price patterns for the first 10 years.
6996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 234: Whittaker vs Gastelum Prediction and Info Thread on: February 09, 2019, 03:27:24 AM
I predict that Kelvin Gastelum might get 1 or 2 lucky punches that will knockout Robert Whittaker within 3 rounds, I reckon.

I thought Robert was unfairly bigger and taller than Kelvin. The press conference showdowns showed that he was not, however.

Also, the skills. Is Robert Whittaker much better than Kelvin Gastelum? I reckon maybe, but the difference in skill might not be as high.
6997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2019 Betting on: February 09, 2019, 03:03:21 AM
The odds have changed for the best actor category. Rami Malek is now favorite with 1.44 and Christian Bale with 2.00.

Christian Bale might be better to bet. The last 9 out of 10 actors that won a Golden Globe have also won an Oscar, and Christian Bale won the Golden Globe for best actor for The Vice.

Actually they both won.
Malek is best actor in the Drama category and Bale is best actor in the Musical/Comedy category.

This makes it more confusing hehehe. However, outside of the academy's politics, I reckon Christian Bale did a better job in portraying Dick Cheney than Rami Malek in portraying Freddie Mercury.

@Patatas. I was not happy with the movie. It was just a generic band movie. I wish Sacha Baron Cohen did Freddie Mercury. He might have given us a new angle and more depth on his story. He also has the face for it, Rami Malek did not.

6998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin sustain itself on fees alone? on: February 09, 2019, 02:25:11 AM
I do not see any clear arguments to support the sustainability of bitcoin mining from fees alone. Can this prove that a tail emission similar to what Monero and Aeon has might be the correct way to maintain a blockchain's security? What about Grin's transparent inflation schedule?
6999  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-2-5]Crypto Price: Will We See Bitcoin Trading at $1,800 Before a Bull Run? on: February 08, 2019, 02:43:12 AM
@carlfebz2. There is no such thing as too low, similar to that there is no such thing as too high during bull markets.

Also, I wish Tom Lee made the $1800 prediction. We would certainly begin to see a reversal hehehe.
7000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2019 Betting on: February 08, 2019, 02:09:33 AM

Christian Bale might be better to bet. The last 9 out of 10 actors that won a Golden Globe have also won an Oscar, and Christian Bale won the Golden Globe for best actor for The Vice.

In any case, there are other categories added in Nitrogensports that are more unpredictable, like best make up and hairstyling with The Vice as favorite with 1.083 and Mary Queen of Scots with 7.50. I reckon period piece movies like Mary Queen of Scots should have good expectations to win in these types of categories.
