It's less than 3 weeks before another big showdown of Top Rank happens. It seems like I am not seeing much of the 2 in social media, but maybe I am not following enough of the boxing media nowadays. Both are arrogant fighters so they will make a trend during fight week when both are in New York. Teofimo Lopez the more popular fighter in the US seems silent while Josh said he will retire Lopez.
And it seems like Devin Haney already re-signed with Top Rank. Top Rank earlier offered Haney (win or lose to Loma) a shot at the winner of Taylor-Lopez. So it will add more motivation for both fighters to win since their next show is once again a PPV which means big money once again.
Time flies so fast and before we knew it's already fight week between the two. Lopez's last fight against Martin wasn't impressive and many thought that he lost that one (including me) so I think this Taylor fight is one hell of a climb for him and if indeed he will successful in dethroning Taylor then I guess money fights will await him in the future including Haney if ever the latter will decide to move up in weight. I'm more inclined to a Taylor win so that Lopez will be humbled, arrogant kid with only a fluked win against Loma hehe (sorry to Lopez's fans here). |

I believe a rematch in this fight is needed. Initially, I thought Haney would be boring, but it seems like he listened to the fans' complaints about him being a boring fighter. He was able to engage in a toe-to-toe battle against Loma, and the young champion showed great durability.
Was not a boring fight because of Loma's aggressiveness, if the latter only countered whatever Haney throws then that could be a snore-feast but nevertheless it was an entertaining fight though the judges ruined the occasion (in the opinion of most not all). Loma's manager will file a protest but i doubt it would be successful, the best thing they could do right now is to as for a rematch immediately and not bother to protest as it is a waste of time. Yeah, it will take a lot of time before the decision is announced, and I believe Haney will still be declared the winner. Loma may have won in the eyes of many, but this isn't uncommon in boxing. The public perception doesn't necessarily align with the judges' decision, as they have the final say. Loma should have been more aggressive and aimed for a knockout victory to prevent the controversy that occurred. Nevertheless, despite the loss, it still proves something, and that is Loma has not passed his prime yet.
And it also proves that Haney is not in his prime yet hehe. I doubt that he could become a crowd drawer after his recent performance, it even made him appear as if he needed more wins to become a PPV star, he's all just talking and shoving. As for the protest, I agree that the decision would be overturned but nevertheless, it gives an impression to the concerned people that most in the boxing community don't agree with their decision. A rematch will settle this argument but with different judges and as soon as possible. |

By the way, the outcome of the game yesterday.  Anyone here was able to place a bet on that specific game? Because if someone was able to bet, then we should expect that tomorrow evening the betting odds will be available for Northport vs Meralco and Phoenix vs San Miguel. TBH, i don't know that there are already pre-season/tune-up games in the PBA. I'm not really keen on betting on tune-up games as both teams are just experimenting and not showing their true capabilities so you might end up wasting our money as it will be the same as a "guessing game". Anyone got an idea on when the PBA season begins? |

The thing is, they are small time winners and big time losers, I mean they lose more than winning, it's been two weeks and two of them tell me about their loss and gains, but they make it feel normal, to them it really is, not like the crypto investors today, always in hurry to double their money, some are even scared of investing in Bitcoin, which is the safest of them all.
I tend to agree that a gambler's mindset is different from that of an investor. They don't care/fear (whatever the description) if the coins they are holding are on a downfall as they will think that this is part of the process and they are acquainted with losing more than winning so if their coins, their level of happiness is not like that of an investor (many might disagree) but that's how I feel, just like winning in a game. |

I predict Tank Davis to be the unified champion of this weight division within 2 years. It should be shorter, however, I am quite certain Haney will avoid Tank for the longest possible time.
Agree, Tank Davis will destroy Haney but if there is no rehydration clause or fighting in a catchweight, Tank Davis will be having trouble with Haney but definitely sooner or later, those bombs will flush on Haney's chin. |

If I were Haney, I would not be happy for that win. I just hope that Devin realize that it could maximum be a draw in that fight, not his victory. Like I have said, Loma should have started pressing and doing max earlier. Until round 9 it was 4-4 between them. Haney received so many punches in 11th round, grabbing ropes, clinches, that I was surprised he survived. UD… Crappy judges.
Boxing politics sucks these days, damn judges hehe. I'm sure that when they review the tape, Team Haney will realize that their guy was not dominating the match as he promised, in fact in my view, he was schooled by Loma but a win is a win so they will take this as a bonus and I do hope that they will schedule a rematch as soon as possible as Loma is not getting any younger. |

Yes, I also saw it in the face off, not sure what really happen to Haney, but it seems that he has lost control of his emotions in this fight. After the push, he just hurriedly walk away.
So I d agree that psychologically, Loma could have won the battle already.
But let's see if that mental effect will carry over into the ring and Haney can't get into his ground in this fight.
Boxing is not just fought physically, it has also mental toughness which based on what we saw in the weigh-in, seems like Haney already lost half of the game but might also be a tactic on his side as he is playing the villain role here and might help his career, I mean that alone could add some people to watch just for him to lose. TBH, in this kind of stage where all the lights are focused on them two, Loma has the advantage as he has fought more championship fights than Haney, the only advantage i see here for the latter is his size and youth. |

I'm intrigued by what you said so I watched the recent interview on both boxers but for me, he sounded different from Floyd hehe or it's just that people from Vegas spoke, Mayweather is from Las Vegas right, correct me if I'm wrong. But there might also be a chance that Haney is trying to emulate Floyd, trying to be the villain in a match to sell more tickets as we know that he is not a PPV kind of boxer, boring as they say. Lol, Doc J is just an ordinary person here in Cebu City and he is a trainer in the Omega Gym but maybe he is also a doctor by profession (not sure though). I did some research guys on who is this Alexandro Barrios is and it turns out that Alejandro Santiago and Alexandro Barrios is just one person hehe, his full name is "Agustín Alexandro Santiago Barrios" so there no change in opponent for Donaire guys, maybe they are just waiting for something but the good thing is that Donaire is keeping himself in shape even though the schedule is not definite yet. |

It might be a bad idea for Loma to lose early rounds and to do catch up. He should be blasting Haney whatever way he can, and not give him the confidence. Otherwise, it might be difficult for Loma and for sure he will be looking for a knockout to settle their difference. The more I watch the promotion leading up to the fight, it seems that either one of them are taking this fight personally. Haney saying that Loma is not that good guy that he is portraying in public (and I think this is what the Lopez's has said leading up to their fight). And so Loma will really have to show his talent here and not allow this fight to end in the judges cards.
I do agree that it would nightmare for Loma if he would lose the early rounds, Loma is a slow starter but in this very technical fight he can't afford to lose the first half of the fight but the good thing is that Haney is not a one-punch KO artist so that might give Loma the confidence to be aggressive early on to compile the points needed as this fight will go the distance. |

I'm seeing that if this fight is not going to be made, then maybe we will not see this happening this year and it might be too late for Donaire, in my opinion. Just a year added to Donaire's age might be huge.
Just saw a newsfeed in my social media account stating that a trainer of a gym in Cebu City is helping Donaire train for his upcoming fights, so i think that Donaire will be fighting this year but what caught my attention on that news (though not official) is that Donaire will be fighting Alexandro Barrios and not Alejandro Santiago whom we are speculating that the Filipino Flash will be fighting, that maybe the reason on the delay of the fight of Donaire as WBC might be shopping for his new opponent. Doc J is helping Nonito Donaire Jr. prepare for his upcoming WBC bantamweight championship fight against Alexandro Barrios

This happened to me already twice in a row. I'm gambling for a long time but this is the first time I experience this kind of messy situation because it involves the fck up mempool.
I deposit my funds in a casino using a low-priority fee. I managed to triple my bankroll by playing a quick game of Blackjack with huge bets. But since my deposit is so frickin slow to confirm while I don't want to bump my fee since it will create a different transaction on my account. Due to my winning streak while still waiting for many hours, I decided to just play slowly using a 1$ bet. This 1$ bet grows to all-in because I just keep losing for an insane lose streak just because I can't withdraw my funds.
Sharing my personal experience of my recent losses so that no one will commit this same mistake. Bet responsibly. I will stay away from gambling for a while now that mempool is starting to suck once again.
It's just another bad day on your gambling but i know that you will be back soon lol but i do agree that in gambling we should be having a ton of patience to become a responsible gambler as they say but it is easier said than done when the adrenaline is already there flowing in your blood at the moment hehe. Just wonder on why you kept on playing instead of taking a rest and wait for your deposit to be confirmed? |

There is no news yet regarding Moloney's plans for his next fight. He is probably still enjoying his significant victory and newfound championship status. We should keep an eye on the news to get updates on his next moves. As for a potential unification bout against Donaire (in case Donaire wins a championship fight), I don't believe it's likely to happen. If Moloney chose not to fight Donaire when he wasn't a champion, why would he suddenly opt to face a champion Donaire? The point here is that Moloney wants to avoid a KO defeat from Donaire, plain and simple. Got nothing against Moloney but i think his grasp of the championship belt will be short-live, i mean his talent is not so special, just an average boxer with a supportive promoter and the championship was held in his home turf hehe. Moloney said that he will enjoy the moment of being a champion as of now and let his promoter do his work after some months of celebration.
