How loud are those high power server power supplies?

imagine a jet engine taking off.    Cheesy
Fan noise is usually caused by the blades stalling in the air. Reduce the speed a bit and the noise should go down a lot with a minimal reduction (and in some cases an increase) in airflow.

I've found this on my BFL singles; lowering the speed of the output fan slightly will really reduce the noise because at full speed it's simply stalling against the end holes and trying to pull more air through the unit.

Larger fans are much easier to keep quiet.  Small high speed fans are just plain old loud.  Slowing the speed reduces noise, but most are still very jet sounding like.

What's with the low price recently?  Almost everything else is up today but we're still languishing in the 160's. I don't want to be alarmist but without more buy support DGB will get crushed when cryptsy lists it

It's in a spot to be very easily be pushed down right now to then be able to buy crap loads at a much lower price.  I'm mad coinbase doesn't accept debit card.  I'm so ready to buy more Digibyte.  If I could at least dump these 20 million batcoins I have.  Cheesy

The low price is temporary.  This coin has a bright future.

You should run the mobo, cpu, and all powered risers on the same PSU
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: !<~~~~~~~~~~[ANN] BatCoin [ANN]~~~~~~~~~~>! on: February 01, 2014, 04:10:04 PM
Over 700 people 'liked' the idea Batcoin to be added on cryptsy, more that any other coin. This doesnt add up on the current hash rate lol

People get impatient.  They want to mine a coin that is traded on an active exchange.

Same here, VBE7 worked flawless on all my Sapphire 280x & 7970s.

I Hope it works on MSI.  I plan to buy their cards for my next rigs.

I've seen coins added as soon as a week after launch, and some as much as months.

Did I miss something? You want to open an exchange, but you don't even know a suitable language? Don't do it, or you will be slaughtered.

I am asking for a friend.  She was a professional programmer in the business world for 21 years and has just been out of the game for a bit.  She has been planning to get started on Java and I just wanted to get a heads up and see what you guys had to say.

So it looks like Java, Javascript, and PHP all the way.

You guys are awesome  Cool

Thank you MakeBelieve and everyone else.

Just a little tip for anyone that could use it

If someone invests for ex; 1000 @ .00000300 and are kicking themselves
...And then invests for ex; 1000 @ .00000150

It's then as if they invested 2000 @ .00000225

So even though it goes down, you can bring your whole average down if you invest the same amount at the lower price, just average it out.  Cool
Whatever the investment amount +/- of course may be.

Without stating the obvious of course, sometimes it can be overlooked.

Dev Team Update:

We are working hard on finishing the new user tutorials, promo video and upgrading the website /server. We are also still planning out the DGB exchange.

Once we have all that done and we are on a few more exchanges we are going to make a marketing push to attract new users and merchants.

We are thinking of utilizing the FaceBook ad service at first. Since they allow you to target specific demographics such as people who have "liked" bitcoin, or computers or some sort of investment page.

We figure for a few grand we could put the DigiByte logo and brand in front of a few million people.

What do you guys think?

Any suggestions for Ad's, slogans or hot points to attract new users? Or goal is to become a bridge to attract new users into the crypto world.

I think the Facebook marketing is a superb idea
