the current supplied cord does not touch the case at all
it must have been the USB cable - new one on and its been 40 minutes (10 minutes longer than the 30 mins it usually takes for it to shut down) and it has not lowered the freq or hash rate even once. Thanks for the advice on changing the cable - I didnt think it was that at all as it was brand new. edit: spoke too soon it went to zero chips at 52 minutes - it just went from 550 to zero without the slow reduction.

I assume you launch cgminer from the command line today? Can you try to enable the API for it by also adding something like the following command line arguments: --api-listen --api-allow W:0/0
At this point it should be possible to point an External Miner in Awesome Miner to the IP address of the computer running cgminer.
I do not launch it from the command line - I downloaded it from the link I posted, when I open/run it, it automatically starts prompting me for pool information This does not appear to run like any cgminer version I have used before.

@patrike
does AM support the GekkoScience Terminus R606? It uses a modified version of cgminer (version 4.11.1)
I can do it manually but if I can have all my miners in AM it is useful.
This is the first time I get a request for this miner. What happens if you add it to Awesome Miner, is there something specific that doesn't show up correctly? Is this miner it running with Cgminer API enabled, to make it possible to monitor? Could you please send me the API Report (toolbar: Tools -> API Report) if possible (by PM or mail). Thanks! I have not found a way to add it to AM - it does not have a controller and operates either via a independent controller like a Pi or via USB to a PC (I have it connected via USB) it uses a modified version of CgMiner from here http://23.108.83.14/images/cgminer-4.11.1-windows-gekko-9e51f0b.7z <---- link comes from this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053833.0I assume you launch cgminer from the command line today? Will post up any progress made. Though for anyone else to order I believe he is only there for this week - he will be gone by the time I would receive any ordered miner.

1. Using included power supply 2. Pc is not being used for anything other than surfing the internet or just watching cgminer - only other pc in house is the wifes - I can try it but she will not let me leave it plugged into her pc. I am using the supplied USB cable but will try another cable
Did try a few reboots - same results - every few minutes it drops the voltage till it shuts off.
I will try her pc and a nee cable when I get home
The speed goes down - never back up.

in reference to the R606 - can anyone assist? and @sidehack if you can also offer input, it would be appreciated. I am currently running the miner on zpool to clean up some dust (about 10k) I will be doing this with at least a dozen pools before I eventually toss it on kano.is or maybe go solo on ckpool I realize this miner (along with my FutureBit Apollo Scrypt miner) is a hobbyist miner and will not be making me a fortune (unless I get some considerable luck when solo mining But I like having these type of miners in the house away from the loud and hot ASIC's in my mining building. They are really handy when a visitor asks about mining and has very little knowledge - these beat taking them out there to the loud sweatbox lol I will need some more days to fully test and get stats for the various settings this miner has available - but right now (and it may be the pool?) the hash rate is all over the place from 1.5 Kh/s to over 1.1 Th/s - currently I am on the 440mV (setting 5) and it has dropped to zero hash rate for past 5 minutes. when I restart the miner, it will go back up to around 1 Th/s but then within 15-20 minutes it goes back to zero. I am not sure what the issue is - can it be related to running it via my pc? is it the pool? did I get a faulty unit? (I rather it be one of the first two than the last) now after about 2 hours it is showing that if "found 0 chip(s)" https://ibb.co/fNCG421I am going to try another pool and see if it just a pool issue. after almost 4 hours, it also stopped hashing on ViaBTC - says found zero chips again. only solution I can find is to turn miner off and restart it. https://ibb.co/LZx9C4Cisn't lasting more than 30 minutes now no matter what pool I stick it on. always goes to zero chips message.

no issues my side, using chrome browser
ok, it would load but be mostly blank with most of the page links not working here is what it looks like: some links that do manage to work return no results - for example, here is the stats page: I managed to log out and am now at the log in screen, however - when I click log in, it just sits there and will not load. again with edge, firefox and chrome. Also, noted that I have no issue with any other web page.

I am A real Newbie so i want to get this right. under the Futurebit POOL dashboard i put in URL...............................stratum+tcp://scrypt.mine.zergpool.com:3433 Username.......................ltc wallet address i.e LKEyiGGfp1ZjTQxwAB7CddRv7Nrrc1iQQt(put ure own wallet adresse) Password........................c=LTC,m=party.Apollo ........(is Apollo the pool we will be joining or is this the password and can be changed Proxy (Optional)..............Leave Blank thanks I am on the itecoinpool. Once i get a payout i want to change and try ZergPool [/quote] I did mine with the password as just x but i think with some of the pools you need to use the C= to designate which coin you want for payout.

Maybe try using a USB hub, mine would not even start if plugged directly to my PC.
I might - I switched it over to ViaBTC and it has had zero issues - so the pool may have been the issue.

In this post, I will be testing to see what the hash rate change is for each setting.
Setting 0:
Setting 1:
Setting 2:
Setting 3:
Setting 4: with freq set to 750 in cg miner: - freq ramped up and I got the following message: asic plateau: (1/3) 605.73 mhz - after restart I got message: asic plateau: (2/3) 631.25 mhz - after restart I got message: asic plateau: (3/3) 631.25 mhz - it also gave the following message: plateau adjust: target frequency 750.00 mhz -> 625.00 mhz and then miner restarted - it then gave the following message: plateau adjust: target frequency 625.00 mhz -> 618.75 mhz and then miner restarted - it then gave the following message: plateau adjust: target frequency 618.75 mhz -> 612.50 mhz and then miner restarted - it then gave the following message: plateau adjust: target frequency 612.5 mhz -> 606.25 mhz and then miner restarted - miner settled at T: 606.25 mhz and after 15 mins the average hash rate was 832.2 gh/s - best share was 4.2M
Setting 5: with freq set to 750 in cg miner: - freq ramped up and I got the following message: asic plateau: (1/3) 628.13 mhz - after restart I got message: asic plateau: (2/3) 631.25 mhz - after restart I got message: asic plateau: (3/3) 631.25 mhz - it also gave the following message: plateau adjust: target frequency 750.00 mhz -> 631.25 mhz and then miner restarted - miner settled at T: 631.25 mhz and after 15 mins the average hash rate was 856.4 gh/s - best share was 64k
Setting 6: with freq set to 750 in cg miner: - freq ramped up and I got the following message: asic plateau: (1/3) 660.94 mhz - after restart I got message: asic plateau: (2/3) 681.25 mhz - after restart I got message: asic plateau: (3/3) 700.00 mhz - it also gave the following message: plateau adjust: target frequency 750.00 mhz -> 700.00 mhz and then miner restarted - miner would keep restarting about 3-4 minutes after reaching 700 mhz but was not changing the target frequency, it was staying at 700 mhz - after 4 restarts, I decided to move to next setting - hash rate before the restart was averaging 953.7 gh/s though it did hit as high as 1.01 th/s - best share was 989k
Setting 7: with freq set to 750 in cg miner: - freq ramped up and I got the following message: asic plateau: (1/3) 700.00 mhz - after restart I got message: asic plateau: (2/3) 700.00 mhz - after restart I got message: asic plateau: (3/3) 700.00 mhz - it also gave the following message: plateau adjust: target frequency 750.00 mhz -> 700.00 mhz and then miner restarted - miner would keep restarting about 5 minutes after reaching 700 mhz but was not changing the target frequency, it was staying at 700 mhz - after 4 restarts, I decided to move to next setting - hash rate before the restart was averaging 940.2 gh/s - best share was 251k

I ordered from user MineFarmBuy on August 17th - it was currently back ordered at that time. The idea was within a week or so, they would have them in stock. On August 23rd, I got notice it would ship on August 27th (actually shipped August 24th) - miner was received at my home on August 31st. So, total time was 14 days - not too bad considered it was out of stock at the time of order. I did not use escrow for the order as I placed it direct on their site minefarmbuy.com - there was a decent discount for paying in BTC so that was a plus. The miner was packaged very well and came with a 8A power brick and a 6 foot long USB cord. I did need to download a few things - 1. cgminer http://23.108.83.14/images/cgminer-4.11.1-windows-gekko-9e51f0b.7z2. zadig http://zadig.akeo.ie/both of the above originally linked here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053833.0once I opened Zadig I went to Options > list all devices and then selected R606 Bitcoin Miner and selected "Reinstall Driver" after that I unzipped the CgMiner and reviewed the readme files - after which I ran cgminer.exe following the prompts for pool info/user name/pw and the miner was hashing away! The loudest the miner got was 81 dB also worth noting the miner is cool to the touch, not even slightly warm edit - when I took the dB reading, I had left my Apollo miner on - new reading with Apollo off 62 dB Power usage I found after letting it run for 3 hours now on setting 5: 1.193 amps - 118.4 volts - 76.7 watts I now have a miner on either side of my desk

got mine today - will post some pics (I know, I know everyone has seen this miner already but I always post pics with details when I get a new miner)
I have it connected to my PC via the supplied usb cord and I have it powered by the supplied power brick.
I just dont know how to access it on the pc. Going to read thru this thread now and see if its covered, I am sure it is a simple issue just have to find what to do - I couldnt wait till I had it set up to say I had it though! had to post that right away lol
edit: miner is up and mining. I had some dust (about 10k sats) sitting on zpool so I figured I will use the R606 to first clean out all the dust from various misc pools where I have dust under payout threshold - after that, I will throw it on either kano.is or solo mine on ckpool.
will create a separate thread with all my screenshots and data as it comes available.

newest Firmware from Bitmain blocks all SSH access - without SSH access your software will not be able to do even half of what you state it can do.
as for the code being not open source - you have to realize that 99% of all non open source code released for miners is on programs that steal the user's hash rate and/or their funds.

well this got confusing really fast was thinking of ordering some s9's from him but doesnt seem like this is going anywhere indeed. I got this pm from OP - will see where it goes. Hey. I paid for one miner. I'll pick it up on Monday and go find out exactly how to send it. through the site it is impossible to calculate the full cost. you can try it yourself exorcism
|
|
|
dont care which shipping you use - whichever is cheaper between DHL, UPS, FEDEX
there should no issues with any laws.
I can't count for sure . you can try it yourself through the site. but it seems to me that 100-200$ so you will order one? I give 466.50 to escrow? and add shipping once you actually ship? if so, that is fine with me. once received escrow would release funds to you - if this works for you, I will start a pm with OGNasty, you and myself.
