7861  Economy / Securities / Re: Has anyone tried crowdfunding real estate? on: May 16, 2017, 06:29:59 PM
The idea is obvious: raise funds in an ICO and use them in a property buy-to-rent scheme, sharing the profit from rent using the rent money to buy back the crypto asset. Then ultimately reselling the property on the market if majority of investors votes so, and buying back the remaining coins.
The obvious problem is the trust issue: legally the property belongs to the coin issuer, (s)he could just run away with the money. But that would be the risk associated with any kind of crowdfunding, wouldn't it ?
Has anyone tried doing it? How did it go? What are the potential or real issues?
There are some quiet similar post regarding on crowdfunding for real estate business but I think they do all failed or didn't tend to continue their plans because of lacking interest on the public or possible investors.Yes, trust would really be the main issue and as you mentioned there would really be chaos on where those properties would be named. There are lots of factors need to be arranged on this kind of stuff.
7862  Economy / Economics / Re: Moment for buying or selling? on: May 16, 2017, 03:02:58 PM
For me the right moment for buying and selling of bitcoin is when ever money is ready to be spent because if you buy now at high price you can still make a reasonable profit by selling some btc at a premium as long as prices do not drop extremely low what you initially bought them.

to buy bitcoin is now the more risk of losing  and better to produce bitcoin than buy it maybe. if you buy now do not easily panic if there is a price reduction then better to hold it because the price of bitcoin will return to peak even exceed the previous price.
lets not only look at the risk factor here, there is a chance of missing the boat bringing in good profit for. If you wanted to buy 5 btc why not buy half to partially absorb any unforeseen loss

It's not about the number of coins you want to buy. The main thing is how much you are going to keep them. If coins are for long-term investment, then they can be bought now. And for a short period - probably not the best time to buy
I think this is not the right to time to buy the price is high. but today I got a good offer from my local exchange site they offered 20% more profit to preset price, so I sold my coins. The price was really nice it around $1950 for 1 BTC. To get this price, I think I have to wait for a couple of weeks. So I sold my bitcoins.

well I think you should've just held on dude. the price of btc may soar well beyond that in a matter of weeks also. there's a reason why they're willing to buy your btcs at that high price at this time.
People who do buy on the current high price do really have high hopes on bitcoin price increase later on because they don't really bother to purchase or buy inspite of its high price but well its somehow scary to put up too much on it because price crash could happen anytime which means that's really a big lose for us specially when we put up big money.
7863  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are altcoin price movements have some mathematical explanation? on: May 16, 2017, 02:18:53 PM
Crypto market is completely different than usual forex market, those technical analysis may not be completely true in case of altcoin trading like in forex but it might help you to some extend. Hypes and Fuds have much larger effect on altcoin market.
This is really correct, technical analysis wont really matter on crypto trading because its different for forex trading. There are some things on crypto that cannot be determined on any technical tools which we do commonly used on forex it might work sometimes but I strongly believe they wont really be needed at all but still a good choice as using it as a tool specially on making some trendlines but for Fibonacci and other stuffs would be useless at all, honestly speaking.
7864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: May 16, 2017, 01:49:29 PM
If you are an active type of person which do actively make bitcoin transactions now and then you will surely feel the pain on making some transfers because fees will really hurt up your pocket but if you do make transfer on few times high tx fee wont hurt too much and shouldn't really be bother and saying bitcoin is useless. If you don't like to spend more fee then better not to make transaction at all.
7865  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Let's Create a Virtual Country on: May 16, 2017, 12:35:23 PM
Cool and Good idea but the main concern here is the interest of people because in order to make this project funds would really be mainly needed because creating a virtual country or even city would really cost you to start up and you will really need lots of users acts as citizens on it but thinking off why we would do select to engage on this project since we are already on a new digital currency system? Even though its still not considered but we already making a step.
7866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump and Dump ninja technique, how to maximize the earnings on: May 14, 2017, 11:15:56 AM
pump and dump ninja would really be hard and mostly this method or trading behavior would be mostly be fitted on scalper type kind of traders this might would work also  for long traders but knowing about on when buy and sell would be the hardest thing because no one knows what would be the peak of a certain coin.
7867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: May 14, 2017, 10:06:46 AM
I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?
Bitcoin is already been announce in the T.v but on a negative way on which media do give bad impression on bitcoin instead of its usage and benefits which i can say its a biased report after all because government doesnt really like mostly for bitcoin to be used by its cetizens which means they will sure give bad impressions therefore, having its own advertisement is somehow impossible as of these days.
7868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to give "day trading" a go, question is where? on: May 12, 2017, 04:08:48 AM
Thank you for your post Viper1!

I will take a look at Bittrex at first, as it seems like a good place to start out, also coinigy!

And that is 100% what I am going for, I won't trade on emotion, nor will I listed to the forums etc regarding "selling" or "buying" since it can go both ways really, I will buy, sit on my hands till I reach the point I feel comfortable and then sell :-)

Thank you once again!
Good luck to you buddy as long you do know the risk on trading it would be just fine and it seems you do like to trade on bittrex which is also a good choice.Just remember about the basics and fundamentals on day trading and make your funds do hold as long as you can and don't let that you lose it all so easily. Smiley
7869  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: May 12, 2017, 03:18:30 AM
i'm also having the same problem with that captcha from time to time, i'm not patient enough to wait a second so i just click that refresh button so it will give me another captcha like selecting store front among the rest. i think cryptopia should consider IP cookie so we won't have to keep doing it every time every second counts.
Having the same problem too ive been using cryptopia in the past and I didn't experience this kind of thing which is stuck on the captcha and now when I tried to check out my coins in the site.Im now experiencing this kind of stuff which can really piss me off since I do really hate to click and click and nothing works and you are just on a solving captcha for eternity.Admin should really fix this one.
7870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: May 11, 2017, 02:42:09 PM
No your right but for some reason I feel this post will be entombed in posterity for and looked on as the before times someday.
In other words either this fee will be seen as really cheap someday in the future presuming we can't consensus or someone will smile and remember the olden days when fees were this high for a bit ^^.
The joke is now were looking like banking ... limited amount of txns ...

That's exactly right, in many instances it's actually more expensive than using the bank.

In Coinbase, I went to send myself .01 BTC and the fee was 0.000542 BTC which is currently $0.86

Seconded, Ive been using coinbase for a year as far as I remember since I do really love to make transfers without any fees but now they are imposing fees which I do really understand but considering on the amount of fee I really see it that its already high.It might be $0.86 small for some but for me I consider it big but I don't have no choice but to pay-up in able to transfer funds.

It is expected.  Those who are giving a free transfers will definitely imposed a transaction fee because fee is not a dust anymore.  It cost them hundreds to thousands of dollars a day so they need to implement something like transaction fee to avoid such losses and make their company bankrupt.  We had our local exchange site to implement transaction fee, worst they even implement a processing fee above that transaction fee since they charge a minimum of 80k satoshi and maximum of 120k satoshi depends on how fast we want our transaction to be confirmed.
I do know what local exchange you are mentioning which they do really had an option to choose what would be the size of your tx fee depending on how fast it would be confirmed and I would say its really high almost 2$ as far as I remember which is a lot already for me that's why I always chose to select the medium one when I'm not in a hurry but overall fees are really a big thing for now on bitcoin world.
7871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Advice on: May 11, 2017, 02:02:12 PM
This selection do give the best list when you do seek for exchanges since this is the most reputable and famous as of now considering on the volume being traded there and those coins you mentioned on OP are available there which means you can anytime trade with it.Just making the simple thing on doing trading buy low sell high Smiley Goodluck
7872  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: May 11, 2017, 01:27:45 PM
Panic selling is just for inexperience holder of the bitcoin because if you are have enough knowledge you will not do a panic selling.

I am one of those inexperience holders that started to panic when I'm seeing the price of bitcoin to fall but I learned from my mistake and started to focus with the charts. And right now, I strongly believe that the price of bitcoin is going to become higher and I don't need to panic right now, the market of btc is strong.

Yes, to make good money using bitcoin you need to get a lot of patience, because emotions can only be lost.
I don't think so, The patience will be usefull for the long-term investment or trade. If you try to short and it will be useless. In these days a lot of the panic selling was hurting the price of coin caused by the bullish of bitcoin.
Correct panic selling is not good for the investor, doing short term investment in bitcoin is not good for an investor because Value of bitcoin is volatile its hard to predict when it will rising or dump.
But panic selling is good for the bitcoin it self and there is also benefits for those users who keep their bitcoin for a long term.

correct mate. panic selling will do you nothing. you may get profitbut it is still good to mmake more profit if you will hold bitcoin in a long term. and not sell it just because you think you have enough profit. do it with alts but not in bitcoin. bitcoin is intended for long term investment. so hold and triple or quadruple your profit.
I think not always panic selling gives a bad effect. When you've gotten lucky maybe panic selling will help. Because not always the price will continue to rise?

Panic selling would give bad effect to the user itself who sell his coins not on the right time and the one would really benefits is those person who do wait for the price to decrease after panic selling. This ting do normally happens specially to those newbies who don't like to lose money that's why they decide to cut loses when price tends to decrease believing that it would lose soo much more money.

It seems I cannot find feedbacks on these sites on bitcointalk. I have read that 1broker is unregulated, which is really not surprising since it is using crypto but I really want to hear some feedbacks on these sites. I don't want to go and dive without knowing anything about these sites.

SimpleFX (MT4 Based)

1Broker
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=123492.0
I can only give feedback to SimpleFX since ive been using it for awhile now and I can say that they are legit and its convenient to use since they do accept bitcoin on funding your account which is really an advantage specially on bitcoin users. You can able to trade Forex, commodities and bitcoin itself and speaking with withdrawals I can say they are fast when it comes it.
7874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin works as intended, price confirms on: May 11, 2017, 12:10:30 PM
As I wrote some time ago:
The only thing that makes Bitcoin preferred over other cryptocurrencies is stability and safety, it is the longest running network and for fans of POW, Bitcoin is the most difficult blockchain to attack. Activating Segwit is such a huge change that it will remove this stability and safety - the competitive advantage of Bitcoin. If Segwit is activated and Bitcoin loses this stability safe haven status, why not go for coins that are technologically much more superior, the so-called generation 2 and 3 coins? Bitcoin with Segwit will offer the same level of safety as these other coins but Bitcoin will be much more backward technologically, so it makes no sense to stay invested in Bitcoin with Segwit activated.

Bitcoin should be left alone as a crypto reserve and crypto settlement network, as is, only bugfixes should be done on it.

Price action confirms that investors are fine with leaving Bitcoin as is. It does NOT need big blocks, it does NOT need Segwit. Developers, with your itchy fingers, go play with altcoins. Bitcoin is now investors safe haven, untouchable.

What these very vocal people on the internet don't realize is that the sooner the system reaches 'stability', the sooner fund managers will move in.
Stability wont happen even though its being slowly accepted by some countries as of now.System of bitcoin would remain as it is and investors and traders would really remain on the field since price wont really be go stable no matter what and that's the beauty of bitcoin on my part not only to myself but on most people for sure.
7875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: invalid receive address on: May 10, 2017, 03:20:12 PM
here is an address generated

1Joh4PtDaqVFdDHVQtKfqfSUWbbqMif7NE

thanks

I have a Coinbase account.  I just tried entering that address at Coinbase.  It worked fine.

Perhaps you are making a typing error when you enter it?  Perhaps there is something wrong with the copy/paste on your computer that is modifying the address when you try to paste it into your Coinbase webpage?
Maybe just mistakenly put up a space or another character when he do try to paste it up on the address bar on coinbase. For op better to check it carefully because the address you have given is valid and which means the error is on the time you paste the address on coinbase.
7876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of many reasons why I love bitcoin on: May 10, 2017, 02:52:56 PM
this is one of the many transactions that I received, this was from some small exchange that I was trading there for fun and to learn more about how to use API in my bot and I cashed out all my balance worth $7.48.

and this is my cold storage, which has been taking deposits ever since 2014 Cool:

Thats why its always said that bitcoin should be invested in a long term basis to reap more benefits and not in a short term basis like altcoins.Just invest, remain patient irrespective of the market conditions and you are sure to get more returns.

This is happening now, those who save or invested a lot  before may aready celebrating now since bitcoin value now goes high as sky. And their bitcoin accounts now got double or tripled instantly.

Have you guys seen the price of litecoin.? It's x7 in a Span of a month. Think the same about Bitcoin from 2010-11. Other than growing of the price, I would have to love the anonymity which Bitcoin provides while transacting.
Well we are talking and basing here about the price of bitcoin.Litecoin really did gain some 7x on a month but still its way far beyond into bitcoin in terms of progress and other features which is anonymity same as you said this is what I love about bitcoin that no one could able to trace up my transactions on line.Making it as an investment is a plus because of moving prices and for OP I'm quiet amazed because he did able managed to hold up that amount for almost 3 years.
7877  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is this happened to you at Coinbase? on: May 10, 2017, 12:21:10 PM
If you need any help regarding your issue, feel happy to ask me in private.
May be i can help you getting your purchase updated.

Thanks, I finally receive BTC from them now.
I'm glad that this issue have been resolve already and it seems coinbase do have some delays regarding on transferring that bitcoin into your wallet and all things clears up against coinbase. Better to lock of this thread to avoid further discussions since its has been already resolve.
7878  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Slow payments and fees solution??? on: May 10, 2017, 11:29:09 AM
ive been using coinbase in the past because they dont really charge you some fees when you make transfers of bitcoin into another wallet but later on they do already demanded some fees which i do really consider it too high compared on other wallet but still a good choice because it confirms in no time dont like on having smaller fees or not putting at all.I strongly believe this will also happen to xapo even though im not using it but later on it will surely demand some fees.
It is only a matter of time that even Xapo starts collecting fees from its users as the fees are increasing they are loosing in money doing transactions and from what i understand they are not earning any profit by being a wallet,i am not sure how they are managing to put the fees,i would like to know how much money they are spending on a daily basis as transaction fees.
You wont know such thing because its only on owners side knowing their profits on certain transactions.I don't know why they aren't still charging or adjusting some fee on any transfers because which I saw most of exchange and online wallets do already charge fees on each transfer. If they can able to sustain the fees on their users then it would be fine but we don't have any complaints if a certain transaction would be long or fast.It does depend on the fee putted on.
7879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can someone explain what is going with AITCOIN right now? on: May 09, 2017, 02:25:01 PM
I am a newbie in trading but during the pump of all aitcoin,I 've bought some decent coins hoping for more pumping but I am trying to be patient to wait as all my coins price keep falling,at this time I can't sell and re-buy but to keep waiting for the price to bounce back, but I am beginning to think if I can sell off and buy back some aitcoin with a great loss ,is this a good strategy or what should I do?I invested in ETH,ETC,LTC and some other coins
Don't do such thing if you are on negative now don't tend to cut loses and panic sell even you are seeing the price is going down and seeing red on your pocket then better to wait a little bit more. Its better to be patiently waiting that to cut lose because prices will eventually go up in after how many months or years since as I saw that you are buying the potential coins out of the market.
7880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ASK] Why do people buy altcoin? on: May 09, 2017, 01:31:09 PM
There are a lot of altcoins and I am really curious why people buy them. Is there any worth of altcoin? Why not using only bitcoin? What's the future of altcoins?
There are really lots of altcoin in the market now and asking why they are here? Then there are people who do like to copy the concept of bitcoin which they decide to make their own coin believing that they could able to make an another bitcoin and make them rich out of it but still its a good choice or path because people who do make engage on it do really generate some income.Altcoin is still dependent on bitcoins price but there are alts which can already be traded by fiat directly.
