Batch 2 is not being shipped, yet. Only batch 1. Just received my batch 1 today.

Based on the list linked to, anything after around May 17-18 would have to be batch 2 since batch 1 was sold out by then.

No.  None of those are likely to be actual batch two orders.  As I pointed out in a previous post an hour or so ago, the one where I linked to that list in the first place, those are probably just batch one orders where the transaction did not get confirmed until recently which means someone didn't include enough fee so they were stuck in the mempool.  There's no indication that they are batch two orders.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 26, 2018, 08:51:12 PM
They will wait till they ship on the dates they said they would ship.  Remember they are already bought, why would they ship early?

You can buy a bitmain device to ship in two months or an innosilicon one to ship immediately.  So right this minute, bitmain is losing sales to a competitor.  If they have parts to build and ship miners now, then they probably would prefer to be doing so.  Very likely they still have time to get parts and build miners in time for the promised batch two sales no matter what, so not shipping anything now when they could be costs them money and supports their competitor.

The flip side of course is that flooding the market like they did with the D3s would seriously piss off the people who bought the Z9s.  But then again, pissing off their customers has never seemed like a concern for them.

83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 26, 2018, 07:13:57 PM
I wonder what bitmain is going to do now.  It looks like they basically reached the end of shipping on batch one.  https://blog.bitmain.com/z9/shipping_update/2018-06-25.html

The last date on that list that received a large number of orders was 5-17.  5-18 still has around 30 or so but everything after that looks like a trickle which would theoretically be transactions that had small fees and did not get confirmed very quickly.  The most recent payment dates for ones on the end of the list were for less than a week ago, well after sales for batch one were ended.

So, if they still have units they can build they could start shipping the next  batch.  But if they did that, I suspect it would look something like batch one did where some people got a miner weeks before the majority did.  Or they could sit on them, put them in their own mine and wait until the promised shipping period of late Aug.  I suspect they won't want to do that though because innosilicon already has a competitor shipping to market and they don't want to wait too long and risk missing sales to innosilicon.  Which would suggest to me that they will probably start to ship the next batch well ahead of schedule.  But if they do that, they are going to seriously impede ROI for buyers of the first batch, which will piss everyone off.

So I'm curious to see what they will do.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Z9 list of working pools/Fork updates on: June 26, 2018, 03:40:51 PM
You can add viabtc to the list of working pools.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 26, 2018, 01:33:15 AM
My third pool seems to report dead no matter which pool I set it to.  But, I don't think it is actually dead since it still reports getworks.  Anyone else have that issue?

Indeed, a one week period should be more than enough from now on to know exactly the situation "scam or not scam"
however : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCz6buvT87nX-NuEkfcrNQGg
This channel does not exist...
Hmmm removing the videos is one thing, removing an empty channel is another...
Also ALL pictures hosted on mega plateform are now gone. This is also a pointless act if all of this was legit.

I just don't understand why they kept replying to email even after the sale was closed

There were people who had only been asked to pay a portion of the balance on large orders.  If they were sending out emails to everyone saying it was shipping and people were posting here in the thread that they were getting these emails it makes it more likely they can get those people to pay the remaining balance on those large orders.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 24, 2018, 02:33:20 AM
funny how some of this guys still believe(or hope) they will get a fgpa miner Grin

sorry for all that got taken by this...i am sorry for your loss...but the $$$ are gone I'm afraid

on a side note: dwarfminer logon has not been on since 6/20/18...so 3 days down and counting

...me thinks still..he has split the thread and is off to make new scams...

They are replying to mails...

I don't doubt that there are those who were asked to pay only a portion of the full amount who are now being asked to pay the rest.  So if it is a scam, they need to try and reel in the rest of the money.  I still haven't heard anyone say they have a tracking number, and of course nobody has proven a working unit yet.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 23, 2018, 01:34:33 AM
Mine was supposed to be here today.  Arrived at UPS in Shenzhen on Wednesday.  Instead, it literally just departed Shenzhen in the past couple of hours.  Lame.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 22, 2018, 03:31:25 PM

Completely unfair comparisons.  Dwarf is a noob with zero reputation.  The hardware in both of the comparison instances you site is absolutely known to exist.

Also, I haven't been following the other thread as closely but has senseless actually taken any payments from people?

Of course it's not the same thing.
I'm just pointing the fact that just because the OP doesn't respond for two days is not a valid argument for raising the "it's a scam !" flag

Yes I agree.  Two days of not posting is nothing really.  But given all the other red flags, the lack of updates looks like a larger scam warning then it would otherwise appear to be.  I mean at this point we are on defcon 1 scam warning.  All of the warning lights are flashing.  So in this specific situation, two days of no posting looks much more problematic than it would without all the other factors.

Honestly though, I understand that you personally want to keep your hopes up for obvious reasons, but every post you make about how maybe it isn't a scam, maybe we shouldn't be making a big deal, maybe it's really legit, risks helping the OP scam more people or scam the same people for more money.  That's probably why you are getting pushback on anything that looks remotely supportive.  The time now is to just wait it out without giving the OP any credit at all, because so far, no credit has been earned.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon releases A9 Zmaster 50ksol/s Equihash miner at 620W on: June 22, 2018, 03:05:31 PM
At this point it would be crazy to buy any equihash miner.  People like myself who have one on the way (an antminer Z9 in my case) are already in doubt as to getting 100% ROI.  Any purchase based on a future delivery is gambling with very bad odds.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 22, 2018, 02:58:48 PM
I think Dwarfminer has left the thread

last on 6/20/18

2 days gone and counting...

(such a scam..beyond any doubt) Sad

Really? A scam? if only there were some warning...

yeah, I know, I mention this often...but it is sooooooo fluffy a scam! (I mean talk about imaginary unicorns!)

hard to resist...

anyway, countdown dwarfminer has been gone 2 days...will he return with more bullsh*t or will he now disappear?

(damn, I really need a life)

On https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3688965.740 Senseless did not made any response between the 16 and the 19 then not reponse between the 19 and the 21.
I dont remember seeing you claiming it was a scam because 3 days passed without any news.
AFAIK, nothing has been shipped yet by FPGALand as well...
Not keeping the 18 of June or friday as said (not promised) is no proof of a scam. Delay are pretty common in that field.
Our last purchase from HP worth around $150000 got a one week delay. We did not sent an email to the sales rep to tell them that they were trying to scam us.
If there is no news by this week then it will become pretty obvious. ATM my scam % meter is raised to 80% because there is no news and China factory is probably closed now.

Completely unfair comparisons.  Dwarf is a noob with zero reputation.  The hardware in both of the comparison instances you site is absolutely known to exist.

If you are in the US,  is it possible to pay the driver on delivery with cash or personal check?   I've made a UPS account and entered payment details, but I see no way to assign the shipping invoice to my account for online payment.

Yes.  Or at least I did that with my last S9 (so it was almost two years ago already).  I spoke with a UPS customer service person about my Z9 shipment, he said they could determine the price after it was landed in the states and through customs on this end.  So basically by the time it hits the lower 48 (if that's where yours is going).  So you should be able to call and find out exact amount in the 12-24 hours before it actually arrives and then give the driver a check for that amount.

Just for the record, I was actually able to obtain a refund on my payment on that S9 simply by calling their brokerage people and giving them a bunch of tracking numbers for previous bitmain shipments where I had not been required to pay a fee.  I have literally never actually paid a fee on a miner import before.  But it was a such a pain in the arse I am thinking I'll just suck it up on this Z9 and not complain about it.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Z9 list of working pools on: June 22, 2018, 12:06:55 AM
If NiceHash isn't working - I think I could point to the MiningPoolHub equihash autoswitching port (17023), set my autoexchange preference to BTC... and end up with the same thing? It should mine the most profitable equihash coin MPH supports (ZCL/BTG/ZEC/ZEN) and keep slowly converting it to Bitcoin?

The only hitch for this plan (same plan I have btw) is that MPH uses bittrex to auto-exchange BTG and the bittrex BTG wallet has been down for like more than a month.  So for BTG specifically, if the MPH auto-switch port is mining it at all, you may want to not set it for auto-exchange and either manually exchange it on cryptopia yourself or accumulate it and wait for bittrex (don't hold your breath).

So it looks like 1432 units shipped so far.  That's 14,320,000 sols/s.  ZEC network hashrate is between 500,000,000 and 600,000,000 sols/s so that's something like 2.5-3% of ZEC network hashrate.

Up to 3434 units shipped. 34,340,000 sols or about 6.25% of network hashrate.

Does that 3434 number include units been shipped to Bitmain owned warehouses or Innosilicon's? Latest tweet says 2002 units have been shipped in second shipment and 77 in first shipment.

I'm only going on what they are announcing.  Based on what they have said, I believe that the 2002 units is actually the fourth batch (of batch 1). https://twitter.com/Antminer_main

Yes, you are right. I had the impression that Bitmain just added more to 607 that were shipped a few days ago.

Yeah that's actually how it looked to me at first too, especially since each announced batch is larger than the last.  But since my own order was in the 748 set I realized these were each different groups.

Fabulous!  Lost 4 days, basically a huge amount of profit with all the coins forking.   "Your package was cleared after the scheduled transport departure. We will reschedule for the next available departure."

Yeah I'm in a similar situation.  Looks like I will lose at least 3 days mining.  I can't take delivery on the weekend and it was supposed to be here tomorrow but is still stuck in Shenzhen.  UPS says status is Exception with this "Your package is awaiting release from the clearing agency for formal entry at the export location. "  It's been in Shenzhen for well over 24 hours now, probably more than 36.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 20, 2018, 09:08:19 PM
Anyone else getting killed in customs, $63?  really?

Mine says I have a fee.  I called UPS but they say they can't tell me what it will actually be until it lands in the US and clears customs in the US, whenever that is.  It is supposed to deliver on Friday.

Any estimate on when Batch 2 will come? I'd even be happy with an answer on when Batch 2 pre-orders will happen.

Are you a dwarf sock-puppet?  I notice that the most enthusiastic posts in this thread are consistantly new accounts.

Opening pre-sales for batch two before anyone has batch one would be about the largest, flashing-neon, red-flag, billboard proclaiming a scam that you could ask for.
