That's 51k.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - Hard fork at block 51k. Update wallet. on: April 22, 2015, 07:28:17 PM
you will need minor changes in version.h file while compiling win wallet if you want to give it a go please do.  PROTIP use a win 32 bits vm

Wait why?  I already have a vhd file with 64bit I can start with.  I would have to download the 32bit iso from MS and reinstall.
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - Hard fork at block 51k. Update wallet. on: April 22, 2015, 06:44:35 PM
its a small change that has to be done.

but i aint a hero in compiling windows crap Smiley

i can change code on checkpoint server but then only linux ppl can connect and stake right. unless someone here can compile the win wallet i will send them the changes in the code so they can compile the new win wallet.

ps. i miss you can use forks in vid LOOOOL
we can all donate and pay someone to compile it Smiley
edit: btw on which block are we?

Fuck it.  I will build a VM where I can compile windows wallets.  Since the dev is not interested in maintaining this, if MinerFTW wants to do the coding I can make sure a windows wallet gets built.  I know windows very well but I have never done this so there may be a learning curve but I am sure I can figure it out.

Less than 100 more to reach 51k.  This had better work.

S4 = 2TH. 1PH = 1,000 TH.  4500/2 = 2250 units.

1 S4 = .69W/Ghs. 4,500,000 * .69 = 3105000W = 3.105MW @ 120V.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/261401676/Mississippi-Power-Company-vs-GAW-Miners-LLC#scribd

700MW used from Dec 31 - Jan 23.  23 Days. 1.27MW per day usage.

Wait, that purchase was verified in the emails, right? So was the farm down over half the time, or did something else happen over half of the units?

I am pretty sure most of that 5 Ph never was setup and mining for GAW.  I think they resold the hardware at a loss.

Selling new at a loss? Why? You can get a premium on new miners and good second hand ones on ebay.

How can you sell at a loss when your customers put up the money to purchase the equipment and then you resell said equipment back to the customers who paid for it in the first place?

Good point.

Litecoin will come with 150 premined coins: just the genesis block and the first 2 blocks to confirm the genesis is valid.  We believe a coin needs to be released in a fair manner.  Having one person (or a group) control a large amount of coins that can be used as they see fit is against the decentralized vision of Bitcoin.  Yes, it is true that without a stash of premined coins, we will not be able to afford to pay for bounties, but we believe people will see the virtue of this coin, invest in it as early adopters, and will be willing to spend time creating services to make this coin better.

Present rate, these coins are worth $209 USD. At the height of Litecoin, they were worth less than $8k.

This cannot be said about Paycoin. The investigation in this thread has thoroughly revealed that from its inception Paycoin was designed to prop up a failing company, and was indeed used for that various purpose. Further, it has been revealed that it was launched in bad faith, where an honest person, when realizing that their idea would surely not work, would have simply pulled back and started over.

It's no secret that I am a fan of Litecoin and have never owned a Paycoin. But objectively speaking, Andrew, you're doing yourself no favors by suggesting that anyone should do anything to save Paycoin. There will never be a market outside of that community which values the coin, and therefore it should be taken off the exchanges, since any time it is sold on them, it is done for the very purpose of enriching the callow or foolish, neither of which are things which the cryptocurrency community has a need to promote.

I completely agree with this. I have been angry since the day Andrew offered to do a live debate with Josh Garza months ago when they bought the coinswap exchange.  He was clearly a proven fraudster back then and I was very uneasy about the good name of litecoin being dragged through the mud by association.

I have lost money in litecoin, more than $5000 and I have taken the loss on the chin finally. I understand that litecoin isn't a scam and I bought in at the wrong price. I don't expect Andrew Vegetibile to massage my bruised and battered ego over this.  But to read this thread and constantly hearing how sorry he feels for the poor people who have lost money in Paycoin irritates me.  Especially when he is supposed to be involved in launching  a new exchange called Koiynx.   Where is this exchange?  And why the fuck is he coming up with ideas so save a 12 million premined coin that was created by a fraudster CEO of a corporation, in order to continue his hashlet ponzi when his focus should be a million miles away from Paycoin, Gaw or anything related to Homero Joshua Garza.

I don't blame the Mage for spending lots of time in this thread.  It is very entertaining, some may say addictive.  But to be actively and consistently engaged in finding solutions to save Paycoin and it's wayward community is baffling to me.   I read his argument that he isn't motivated by money and he cares for the crypto community as a whole.  Maybe crypto currencies aren't his thing.   It is a brutal, winner takes all kind of environment.

He sounds like a nice man.   Nice men come last in crypto.

I was with you right up until the end there.  As a culture we have got to start placing a higher value on nice people or we're going to drown in douchnozzles.

@Mage - paycoin was built to be a scam, let it die just as God intended it to.

We are just a couple blocks from 50k. Getting there...
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - Hard fork at block 51k. Update wallet. on: April 21, 2015, 09:30:15 PM

and you prob see less coins because you staked on a wrong fork and when you on right 1 those never happend.

^this^

Has happened to me repeatedly lately.

No worries though.  Just get on right chain and stake on.  Then check for fork. Then resync again and lose some coins.  Then repeat process until 51k blocks.  Then...
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - Hard fork at block 51k. Update wallet. on: April 21, 2015, 08:31:52 PM
Damn I don't get it working.

If your only issue is syncing then you don't need to do the repair wallet thing.  Unless something is wrong with your wallet.dat then you should be able to get it working.  Getting it working is not the problem at the moment, keeping your wallet syncing to the correct chain is the problem.

If your wallet.dat file is intact you should be able to delete everything but the wallet.dat and the litedoge.conf and resync.  Before you resync make sure the litedoge.conf file has the correct lines (see OP).  Also make sure you have the current wallet from OP.
1031  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 21, 2015, 01:23:49 AM

My sentiment exactly.

Wait, wait, wait.  I haven't had time to read every post in this thing but is that d-bag who was emailing with josh as EP, is that evil panda?  The same evil panda who was naysaying this thread back when it very first started with all the red flags around the hashlets?

Yes, that is EvilPanda. And bitgeek apparently, and a few other puppets.

And bitgeek too?  Holy dick warts batman!  I had that chump on ignore from way, way back when it was clear to me that he was shilling heavy but I had no idea he was literally hired to do it.  The stupid thing about these dirtbags (Josh included) is that no matter how much money you get in exchange for your integrity, you can't buy integrity back.  You sell it and all you have to show for it is money.  How fucking stupid is that?
1032  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 21, 2015, 01:10:35 AM
Yeah the mods here helped homero a lot but backed off recently

and everyone thought Theymos was a hero for telling Garza's lawyer to take a hike. WHat would be brave would be clean house of the mods here who helped Garza achieve success for long enough to earn the money to send lawyers after Theymos. Talk about reaping what you sow.

I doubt that mods really took sides here. Yes, some posts were removed. dekay, bitpop, but also favelle, coldspirit, and other "visitors". There might be some misunderstandings (I even had my own posts removed from this thread and still don't get why), but I don't think there was any particular help for Garza. not in this thread anyway.

Thank you.

I have had less posts removed from here as of late. I seemed to have a run on them at one point. So it was the GAWNAZIs...figures! Well I got at least one guy tossed for his bullshit so I get some satisfaction in that.

Just noticed that Evil Panda's footer looks like they're working for new crew now...

Plot twist: Garza, like all primates with money, has moved on to casino ownership.

This is not to imply that all casino owners are primates with money.

Wait, wait, wait.  I haven't had time to read every post in this thing but is that d-bag who was emailing with josh as EP, is that evil panda?  The same evil panda who was naysaying this thread back when it very first started with all the red flags around the hashlets?

You know if the dev is going to change the wallet so that it kicks off old versions anyway maybe we can move that hard fork up a bit.  At this rate 51k is still days away.

This is the correct logo.

I still think the eyes and head should be even bigger but I like this one.

my wallet is fine!  just no staking yet!  it took me a little while to get it updated and on the right chain but it syncs well just not staking!  any new nodes or a better config?

disregard!  im staking now!!

anyone needs help with their wallet issues, just ask!  what worked for me may or may not work for you!!

is the dev here or is this all community effort?

Oh it works.  It just forks after a while.  Basically a matter of time.  Sometimes it happens sooner, sometimes it happens later.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - Hard fork at block 51k. Update wallet. on: April 20, 2015, 12:49:58 PM

Hard fork at block 51,000. It will totally fix PoS fork issue. For now, if you face wallet fork, try update latest wallet and full re-sync with nodes at 1st pages.

Since we hit block 51k, the fork issue will disappear.

I sure hope you are right.  Meanwhile we need 3k blocks mined by people who will no doubt be forking on a regular basis as they stake.

with staking disabled, i'm not on the same chain than http://www.sooncoin.com/litedogeex/block_crawler.php

It seems the crawler is not staying on the correct chain lately.

"Not staking because you don't have mature coins" and yet I have 455 confirmations?  What do you have to do to stake?

u have to wait min 4 hrs

Been more than 5 hours.

Did you lock your wallet? if so unlock for staking.

Nope.  Wasn't locked.  Nevermind I gave up.  Off to bittrex to sell.

Hard to tell if forked because the blockcrawler is not accurate.  What do you compare it to?
