Is there a faster way to get up to date?
If you have downloaded the latest version of the core then you could bootstrap faster by downloading the latest bootstrap database https://github.com/Qortal/qortal/releases/download/v1.3.9/db-v1.3.9-233404.zipfrom the latest releases: https://github.com/qortal/qortal/releasesThe procedure is following: 1) stop your node 2) rename or delete the existing db folder in your qortal folder 3) create empty db folder in your qortal folder 4) unpack the database into this folder 5) restart your core node If you are on windows you can find the localtion of the qortal folder by typing into the run terminal the following envarinmet variable %localappdata% Start -> Run -> (then type %localappdata%) and it will open the qortal folder If you are on linux then you know already how it works  If you need more help or info let me know. Privacy coins are getting delisted from some centralized exchanges but I do feel that the best place for privacy coins is DEX exchanges because of their anonymous use cases, also I think that privacy coins represents the real decentralization than other projects trying to claim decentralized..
The problem with this is that most current DEXes support on chain transactions not cross chain and even if they allow you to trade coins from different chain they achieve that by wrapping coins in centralized way. This is the sad reality about DEX right now. It very hard to do cross chain on multiple blockchain unless they do the method like what you said. So far I only see maximum 2 blockchain cross chain so far and combining all this privacy coin is really a big challenge to the developer. I'm not familiar that much to the principle of atomic swap but I heard that it might be a solution for cross chain issue. You maybe missed some older projects that already had a lot of functionality before ethereum even had a GUI wallet! I mean there were project back in 2015 ( NXT, NEM, QORA) that had features like a decentralized asset exchange, blog, chat, naming system (DNS), address alias system, build in multi signature accounts, polls (voting) and cross chain atomic swaps. It seems whenever some "new" already existing feature is launched on ethereum all the news are reporting like a big achievement event if this stuff existed 4 years before on other blockchains. Unfortunately NXT fell into oblivion even if it had the 1st decentralized asset exchange. Maybe it will be rediscovered again! Regarding cross chain atomic swaps, QORA was the first blockchain that implemented that feature. It was possible to trade QORA with BURST without 3rd party and middleman directly on chain. At that time QORA technology was ahead of time but is seems nobody cared about it so it fell into oblivion too. Now there is one new community project in ongoing development named QORTAL which is based on QORA but with new code. It will be soon possible to trade QORT/LTC pair using cross chain atomic swaps without 3rd parties and no middleman involved! Remember people the golder rule: Not your keys not your crypto! Can someone explain me the temporary results:
- option A (move snapshot): 50,79% with 76 votes
- option B (keep 14th january for snapshot): 49,21% with 218 votes
So at the moment we move the snapshot with 50,79% over 49,21% but with 76 votes over 218? The vote's weight isn't the same for everybody or did I miss something?
The vote weight depends on the address importance score which mostly depends on the amount of XEM held on that address. Simple example of 4 addresses: One address A) can outvote more addresses B),C), D) if importance of A) is greater then the importance of (B+C+D) |

1) why you always look "compare" price to USD?
Shouldn't we look prices against BTC? Isn't the BTC the base (main) currency in crpyto?
2) I have noticed when btc rises "normaly" i mean without sudden spikes the
prices of almost all other crypto fall against BTC but falls just as much to be more or less stable against FIAT currency!
why is that?

Hello. Does anyone else have/had problems logging into the NEM forum at https://forum.nem.io/ ? I have reported the problem in the meta section of the forum last time I was able to login. The error message at that time was showing something like "You can't login as freigeist from that IP address". The admin said the message was misleading and he changed it to the message below. Since the change I'm constantly getting this error You can't log in as freigeist. Clear your browser cookies for forum.nem.io and try again. I have deleted cookies and history but this has not solved the problem. I can't log in! I have tried from Firefox, Chrome, Chromium, Edge, on Linux and win 10 in private mode too and on browsers where a I have never used to enter the forum. If anyone has contact from administrator on the nem forum please point him to this post as I can't contact him any more. XEM will still exist. It is not a burn, but a snapshot. Like BTC<->BCH or ETH<->ETC. The tendency will probably be that after the snapshot, XEM will crash in price because everyone sells it while Symbol will rise in price. At least this has been the pattern of similar snapshots so far, e.g. NXT<->ARDOR. Do you maybe know when was that NXT<->ARDOR snaphot taking place? |

Da svakom priliku da sa 200-300 kn mjesecno ulaze u nesto dugorocno, sa dobrim ROI. Ili sve ove bogalje iz indije i kine koji zarađuju za život jer im drzava to ne omogucava na normalan nacin. Kod Bitcoina je najvažnija stvar taj ograničeni supply. Mene jako iznenadilo kad sam saznao da Ethereum nema ograničen supply, a na drugom mjestu je po market capu. Kod većine drugih projekata kad vidiš da ima neograničen suplly, odmah svi viču scam. Slični je i kod fiat valuta jer nikad ne znaš kad će ekipa isprintati hrpu novog papira.
Ne trudi se ekipa više printati papire jer je to skupo. Sad samo utipkaju u računalo i evo ti novca iz ničega za kojeg moraš robovati svaki dan od 9 do 17, a nekad i duže! |

All this DeFi shit need some "reliable" source of price information.
So to be able to work they need to gather this info from external 3rd party entities aka "oracles"
which seem to me to be a single point of failure!
What blockchain can do is only store information it can't determine if the information is valid.
I still do not understand what countermeasures are in place
to avoid for the price information to be rigged?
What about collusion of oracles?
What about hacking the price source from where the oracles are taking the info?!
Theoretically you could fuckup all the DeFi by manipulating price info or am I wrong?
