Merv, you need to update your sig mate.. price on the GB is lower now, i'm led to believe (which, in my mind $2,900 is just ridiculously low for the equipment you are getting).

you'll see a very stable rig hashing at your expected rate once it's fully ramped in, mine has been perfectly stable since it was plugged in, with only miniscule variation in hashrate - on account of weather/temperature changes.

best luck with yours! looks like BTC price is gonna help us break even all the quicker!!

sig fixed...

btw, I bought my SP10's miners just before the group buy, I did get the 10% discount.  Even thou I paid a little more than $3200/$2900 group buy price I'm happy all the same.

Thanks raskul, and good luck to you to.
Cheers

very happy to say I received my 4 SP10 miners today and now all are hashing away nicely  Grin

I have chosen to run them in ~1.35Th / ~1100W / ~quiet mode, for me at moment they seem to be at a reasonable noise level (70dB) for domestic use.
I have Dragon miners giving similar noise level of 70dB, so running in same room as Dragon miners doesn't increase the total sound level.
I'll be looking at buying or building a soundproof server rack/cupboard to run them at full speed in turbo mode in the near future.
they are drawing just under 900 watts / 240 volts at the wall.

the current hash rate at the pool (eligius) is ranging from 1150 to 1250 GH/s, but they only been running for about an hour.

BTW, I must say these miner are very impressive and are built to perfection,
you could say these are the Ferrari's of bitcoin miners, and can be just as loud (in turbo mode) as a Ferrari at 8,000 rpm   Cheesy

no other bitcoin miner (that I know of and I have been through a few) comes close to this level of quality and perfection.

Well done Spondoolies Tech, with this high standard of manufacturing I think you'll be around for the long term.
Hopefully more and more customers realize this is the way to go as the long term solution for bitcoin's future.
I can't wait to see the SP30 and what ever you have planned after the SP30.

Many thanks to the whole team at Spondoolies Tech.
Cheers

To those of you who have received BTC-refund from KNC

I and also the community (I hope...) would like to track how much BTC KNC have and how much they are mining.

To do this it would be great if you could submit the address from which you received your refund.

Link to address submission
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/15ocLT4yelsQ3TQ59R2x4-TsKXULdAfPB1V6zXrJX-s0/viewform

The only required question is what the address is, takes 5 seconds to fill out and I really do believe that this information is necessary for the community.

Thank you!

Edit: If you would like to share addresses but only to me (and not the world) please submit them here (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1esjQN8vZwhI1kNtU_qxzQ0xCvhG23sGZryMUAzPMAoo/viewform?usp=send_form)

The address will not be shared further only the information found from it. Ie how much many generated coins, first transaction date. Amount incoming and outgoing. It will be deidentified with rounded numbers and no day specific time.

No need for this. From my refund, I went back through the blockchain and found that KNC pools a slew of BTC (900+ on my refund day) into one address, then creates a new address for each refund, sends the appropriate number of coins to the new address from the pool, then sends the refund to your address from that address.

I followed KNC's refund on blockchain and found 3 address with well over 20,000BTC in each earned from mining, can also see they get the full 25BTC for finding blocks.

note. I an amateur when it comes to blockchain snooping, so not sure I know what I'm doing.  Tongue

ack just re-read above..ack 660...my fear seems to be slipping away....what do you have to do to keep it cool like hang 3 fans above it and 2 on the side?

jeez 660 hmmm....will summon courage this weekend perhaps....when i did the message above i thought i read 560 like mine

wow

I've done nothing to keep it cool, it's stock standard.

temps are running from ASIC Slot #1 45.5C, ASIC Slot #3 63.5C, ASIC Slot #4 58.5C, ASIC Slot #5 53.5C Which are perfectly fine for these.
(btw, I had these running well over 75C during our hot summer without any problems, currently we're in autumn and room temp around 25C)

don't fear it, after you upgrade to the above firmware then go to 'Advanced' tab and you'll see guidance for settings as I did.

I set it as described, October: -0.0879 V and 0x231 MHz for all dies, then click 'apply changes' button.

If doesn't go well you can click 'Reset to Factory Defaults' button and goes back to normal.

I got it working and it's version 1.01.1-padrino firmware

shifty tlon19 is trying to get tips for padrino's work, naughty boy...

it this the stuff that was being sold on ebay for 75 bucks...to tell you the truth....i downloaded it ..if it is legit..i'll send the guy
on ebay the 75 bucks after i'm brave enough to try it (if ever).but is this the same guy as the author or is the above just a different
1.0.1 "flavor"

trying not to be scammed but hey if it is legit and holds water ....and enough on here vouch for me trying it ..i'll give it a shot

if it works i'll pay (hold me to it) but saw the ebay auction and right or wrong the 'scam flag' pop'd up

Searing

why pay for it?  have you bought it already from eBay?

this file download above 'kncminer-1.01.custom.bin' is padrino's custom firmware

when I uploaded/upgraded this firmware in web UI it's listed as 1.001.1-padrino, I think they've just renamed the bin file.

download the above file and in the Advanced setting there's guidance setting info to go by.
I've set it for October jupiter setting and now hashing at 660GH/s from before upgrade was at 560GH/s, and only just over 1% HW errors and rejects combined.

I uploaded your firmware via web ui and didn't change anything, still previous firmware version 1.00 and still standard advanced settings

 Huh Huh Huh

edit.  that's no tip from me

edit2.  I cannot seem to upload any firmware, current version 1.00
after I select firmware in web UI then click upload, it just waits for file to upload but nothing happens

         any ideas?

edit3. figured it out, it was a network hub giving me problems. changed for newer switch and so far seemed to work.
I'll post again with more results

did the lucky recipients of their own money back receive any email or correspondence wrt their refund or did it just arrive silently?

I never got any confirmation before or after from KNC, the refund just appeared in my wallet

if anyone has used quibids you'll know that it's a very shifty way to rip off people that don't understand how these type of auctions work.
once you find out then you'll never go back because of the way it works.

example.  you bid 0.01 cent increments and each 0.01 cent bid cost to buy $2.50

example 2. if you win (or someone wins) an iphone for $50,
               then it's calculated $50 * 100 = 5000 bids
               5000 * $2.50 = $12,500.00

in other words they sold the iphone for $12,500.00

BTW, isn't quibids band/illegal in the USA

Hi Padrino,

Is there somewhere I can get it now?  Or when do you think you'll have it on the web/server ready for downloading?

Thanks

there are orders to fulfill (SP10 May batch) before these orders start shipping, correct?

Yes
I just received email with my tracking number.  Whoo hoo, I'm very excited to see these babies.  Cheesy Grin Cheesy

Many thanks Spondoolies
When did you order?

We are just asking so we can estimate when our shipments will be sent / units will be hosted.

I ordered and paid 4-May-2014 (Australian time), so it took about 9 days to get tracking number.
that's quicker than I expected  Shocked

Working on setting up a site to distribute it, should be up later today so stay tuned..

Thanks padrino

I'll be very interested in giving it a try

I have 3 October Jupiters, one with 850W, one with 1000W, and one with 1500W PSUs
I'll try it on the 1500W first to see the power draw.

Rodeo did u use skype or Jacks website to place order? If u used skype then post the id and txid for all to see... there is a scammer using lightningasic as username so its possible u got scammed man.. the skype ids on the website are confusing.. legit: "live:lightningasic" scammer:"lightningasic" these subtle differences are what making scammers successfull..

Jack take note of this and make skype ids more distinctive or put a note not to use it for sales since people are getting scammed...
imho buying goods via skype is just silly..

they are exactly the same
i can't see the subtle difference you're talking about

I bought SP10's before this sale so I'd expect that my order should get delivered before any of these start.

Just saying

hey guys great news!! i was able to get my hands on a copy of custom knc firmware that unlocks the clock speed of the all jups , currently pushing 930 ghs 100% stock 4 vrm box.
