Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?!

Because they don't know what they're talking about. Those people are just handing their bitcoins to someone else who deserves them more.
Because of them are poor in knowledge about bitcoin. Or maybe some are not really open minded unto it, or it can be one of their strategy to give panic to the community to sell their coins to make bitcoin value will downfall at once.

Those are the people who have made huge loss in the past by investing their bitcoins at wrong place and now they are blaming bitcoins for that and they are busy in spreading the negative news about bitcoins and trying to divert the minds of other people but I don't think it will work.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: April 12, 2017, 10:00:57 AM
I heard about bitcoins in the year 2015 when the price of bitcoins was around $250 and without thinking much I invested money in it and at this stage I have already made great profits so I feel lucky that I entered the world of bitcoins at the right time without wasting any time.
83  Economy / Economics / Re: New here: Tut for people interested in earning bitcoins (legit) on: April 12, 2017, 09:58:56 AM
Hi good day!

This would be my very first post. I am new to bitcoin still 5 days using coins.ph as loading, remittance, & bills payment. However, I wanted to earn bitcoins while searching in the internet there are tons of faucets but only few are paying up and its a total waste of time. I've heard of signature campaign and am interested but don't know how to start. Minning and loaning requires investment which I'm afraid to invest or it would be gone by the wind in one blow since I don't have any knowledge of how bitcoin works. So if there is someone willing to give like a tutorial I would really appreciate it...

A warm welcome to you my friend!!

Your on the right place to learn about bitcoin, Signature campaign is one source to earn bitcoin in this site but you can also earn bitcoin by doing a task or offer some services you can find it in marketplace - services.
But I advice you read first the Beginner & help thread to make its clarify and to gain knowledge how this site work. I'm Newbie too and I read and read to gain knowledge.
Thank you and Good luck to Bitcoin World  Grin

There are very few campaigns at a moment that will allow newbie to join them but its good to spend some time on this forum and join a campaign only after reaching to full member level as that will give you decent amount of earnings from signature campaign.
84  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: April 12, 2017, 09:56:58 AM
People have different goals what to do with their coins but I consider bitcoin to be money and money is meant to be spent. But finding balance between spending and keeping coins could be very important and sometimes very hard. Bitcoin shouldn't just sit idle in wallets, it should circulate also.

People are circulating it on trading and gambling sites so I don't think that people are only holding it and  that is good for the economy of bitcoins and people would not be selling their bitcoins but they are surely spending them online to grow their coins in quick time.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: April 12, 2017, 09:52:08 AM
People should use bitcoins because its a future of money and it will reach to that level where we cannot imagine so if you are into bitcoin at this stage then you should consider yourself very lucky as not many people are aware about it at a moment and when it will become more popular in future you would be already holding a great amount of bitcoins.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's freaking 2017 - Do you own 1 BTC? on: April 12, 2017, 09:49:13 AM
I dont have 1BTC  in my wallet but one thing is for sure I earn here that can sustain my daily needs. By doing some simple tasks here I can say atleast Im earning though is not upto 1BTC. I do trades in an altcoin so far I cant earn easily it takes a lot of time and effort before I reach to 1BTC.

Just keep on working mate and one day you will surely have 1 btc in your wallet as we have opportunity to earn more money here and if we keep on earning in multiple ways then it won't take that long to have 1 btc in our wallet in future.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: April 12, 2017, 09:47:26 AM
What do you like best about bitcoin? because bitcoin it has a transparent transaction, simple, practical, and exchange rate fluctuation. and many more that I like about bitcoin, bitcoin also enough to help my life in real life. thanks bitcoin. Kiss Cheesy

Bitcoin has made our life easier and have also made us financial stable as its giving us an opportunity to earn some really good amount of extra money and that is the best thing I like about bitcoin that now I don't have to depend on others for my expenses as I can easily do with bitcoins.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Daily use of bitcoin? on: April 12, 2017, 09:45:41 AM
Its difficult in our country if you would have to spend a whole day say just with btc since their are not many establishment accepting btc due to its volatility of price and unclear government policy. So people refrain from accepting it as a mode of payment. Also not many online sites do accept it as of now.

I agree that its not easy to use bitcoin on daily basis especially at offline places where none of the people are aware about bitcoins so the only option left for us is to convert it to fiat currency and then spend but I am sure that things will change in future when more places will start accepting bitcoins as a mode of payment.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ways are there to earn bitcoins? on: April 12, 2017, 09:43:06 AM
Recently, I've been trading bitcoins on btc-e, earning only a little, yes, very little, except the fees that btc-e takes.

Besides trading, are there any good method to earn bitcoins?   Thanks.
Trading is definitely the best way to earn Bitcoin. However, if for some reason you can't trade, then you should post on this forum for a signature campaign. That is another good way to earn some Bitcoin. You could also try doing some freelancing jobs such as writing articles or building something. If you have quite a bit of Bitcoin, then trading is definitely the best option. The other methods just don't earn you anywhere near what you would if you traded well.

Trading also involves the risk of loosing money and it cannot be helpful for everyone as not all are experts in trading so a person who is looking for fixed and stable income in bitcoins can start earning it from signature campaign as he will get paid fixed amount of bitcoins on weekly intervals.
Signature campaigns are very common and they are stable and almost pays in weekly but trading is still better than that because you just need to spend a few hours of your day then you will earn money more than from the signature campaign earnings but the main problem in trading is, it's risky and it needs a lot of time and patience to be a good trader and earn money easily but it is still worth it.

To earn more amount of bitcoins I think its better to combine the earnings from both signature campaign and trading as it will give you best possible income and trading can be risky in primary stage but after learning the basic concepts of trading I think you can make good profits in long term.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: April 12, 2017, 09:41:04 AM
Is because the name "Bitcoin" is the best name for a crypto-currency.

No other name will be as good.
because of the name? i think no, the reason why bitcoin #1 altcoin is because easy to use, no hassle, no verification required for transactions, and the popular for payment method like gpt site, gambling site and etc.

One thing I want to make it clear that bitcoin is not an altcoin and bitcoin holds its own identity and altcoins are small babies of bitcoin and when it comes to digital currency bitcoin is the best as it holds multiple features which you will never see with any other altcoin or fiat currency.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: April 12, 2017, 09:38:43 AM
Well i don't think so that any banks would accept bitcoin because there are still markets are not accepting bitcoin as payment. But if bitcoin was approved or considered as real money maybe the any banks would accept bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a competition to banking system so I don't think that banks will ever support bitcoins or will start accepting bitcoins ever in future and even the Government will not stand in support of bitcoins as if bitcoin gets on the mainstream then Government will loose all its control on money that they have on fiat at a moment.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: April 12, 2017, 09:34:38 AM
I don't think that "Bitcoin" can make banks disappear. Because im my country we need bank just to withdraw are bitcoin. So how can bitcoin disappear banks. Obvoiusly i think it will be good if there's now an Bitcoin ATM machines in my country it will be good to all bitcoiners in my country. Grin

Even if you don't  have bitcoin ATM machine you don't have to worry if you have facility to use bitcoin debit card as it will make things very much easier as I am using bitcoin debit card in my country without any issues I can withdraw money from any ATM and at the same time can use it to buy anything from shopping malls, restaurants etc.
I myself do not like to use a debit card, I like freedom, I want to do everything and do not have any trouble, debit card requires us to make payment for all their spending. For bitcoin, we do everything we want, you own bitcoin, and you can change it to whatever currency we want, it's easy and convenient.

So you mean to say that you don't get freedom with bitcoin debit card? Bro you can buy even gold with bitcoin debit card and your name will not be displayed anywhere on the paper and people are making best use of it by buying all the possible things with bitcoin debit card.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have u ever received BTC accidentally or randomly? on: April 12, 2017, 09:28:02 AM
I am not that lucky that I can receive any amount of bitcoin accidentally or randomly and that was possible in the past when people were new to bitcoins and would send at wrong address but now people will check twice before sending their bitcoins so now in current scenario I don't think anyone would get any amount of bitcoins randomly.

putting buy orders at 52

You'll be pretty bored in the following years then... Smiley
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 05, 2014, 04:24:40 PM
There is no other reason to push the price down so low unless you are buying a lot of cheap coins...which at that point the buyer will want the price to go way up.

Reminds me of the days of The Manipulator (TM)

There is ONE MORE reason, which you ignore: some bank, government, or any such party wants to finish the bitcoin story. And they are on a damn pretty good way to make that.

Didn't thought that it is quite so easy to destroy something built in so many years...

Fiat - BTC 1 - 0  (Full time)

Game over guys, everybody just hopes that he can dump his bitcoins, and those are sentimentalist, and not selling are waiting for the market to raise just a little bit to exit. Real bears, government/banks hired professional bears and forum speakers, have won this game. Plain and easy.

Time to get a new hobby, and a new job.
99  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 04, 2014, 04:05:50 PM

So has the panic stopped?  Are we going to see more upwards activity again? Wink

Nope, this time it goes down all the way to 0... market lost it's confidence in this, and the more it goes down, the harder (next to impossible) will be to reverse the trend.

Good bye, dear Bitcoin! Sad
100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 03, 2014, 10:08:30 PM
How low can we go?

To be honest - we are already lower than I would have thought...

Exactly to ZERO. As you can see there are no big selling walls at all, no large sells or higher volume as usual... It simply nobody wants to invest his money in Bitcoin anymore because:

1. For every human being with a functional head on his neck it is very clear that pushing down the price, and then that magically will raise anyway can't and will NOT work forever; one of the falls will be a non-reversable fall, and there were so many already, that the risk of this is going to be the real one, is getting higher and higher; so speculators and get-rich-quick whales are pulling off, liquidating their bitcoins and stay away from this market in the future.

2. Market lost it's confidence in Bitcoin (exactly because it can be manipulated so easily). Can you imagine that a 10.000 BTC "wall" would actually mean only 3.600.000 USD? Can you see the devastating effect if somebody would raise such a big wall? Price would drop faster than you can possibly imagine. This means that whenever anybody wants to shut down Bitcoin (let's say the US government), they could make it anytime they wish.
Now imagine fiat, namely USD. Try to "dump" 3.600.000 USD to manipulate dollar's value... it's a joke, you can't.

I really believed in Bitcoin, and I feel sorry for it. I still hold a few of them, and I keep telling myself from the 600 mark that I keep it, I keep it, I keep it... Now I see that it would have a very smart decision to sell that time, and I know that they will remain in my wallet forever, because they will become worthless... it's just that I don't sell for this price, because I am a sentimentalist fool... but if I would have more brain than heart then I would sell them ASAP.
