why not accept paypal for the initial reservation payments instead of a non reversible method like btc. or set up an group buy escrow if that exists.

We're looking forward to hearing some feedback. Anyone have some experiences they would like to share with us about our 2 factor authentication?
Good? Bad? Like it? Hate it? Easy to use? Confusing? Can't make it work? Let us know.

also the duo app code button on my htc wildfire (low rez) was almost invisible it was so far off the bottom of the screen, there was just the tiniest grey line at the bottum of the screen which i figured was the top of a button and i touched it which worked...

the other thing, it seems annoying to have to deal with captcha still even when when you have 2step on ...

Guns and Butter (an excellent radio show)

"Guns, Finance and Butter - Finance Is the New Mode of Warfare" with Dr. Michael Hudson. The jobless recovery; the debt ceiling and default; China; Greece; banks, not countries, receive the bailouts; financial warfare; IMF and EU; European Central Bank; US credit default swaps; US agricultural exports create food dependency; currency devaluation devalues the price of labor; class war of banks against the rest of society.

during TH auth setup a token option didn't appear as an option. i imagine its something you will have to order and pay for at a later date when they become available....

push system works well, just set it up and logged in.

but note in AU our phone number is generally written as 0435223227 but you must enter it as 435223227

 (this is not my number)

yeah we looked into it, and it was going to be a paid service where you loaded btc into your account towards sms's. there are api's for company's that offer service, and various services offer various country's.

i had this idea about 2 weeks ago and yesterday gave up on it due to time constraints.

it was codenamed bitms and primary focus was sms notification.

so please if you do this , add sms for all those developing nations who dont have smart phones with 3g internet
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TradeHill - AUD market is now live. on: July 11, 2011, 12:30:52 AM
Last night i made my first trade (buy) on TH with AUD after easy loading.

Everything went fine, except i have one gripe which im bringing up here first as a question/suggestion to TH.

After my experience last night i prefer Mt. Gox's trading form page over TH's and this is why:

I wanted to buy as much btc i could at a set price, but it was very hard to make that order.

I had to sit there for ages making calculations and trying to submit the form, and gave up on calculations, and just started reducing my order amount incrementally until i got a total under my available balance. and even then i ended up with left over AUD in my account i can't now spend as there is a $1 min order.

In this time i could have missed out on the good offer that had become available, while trying to calculate how much i could afford to buy including the fees to 4 decimal places.....

But on Gox you can order however much you want, and it only fills/places the amount you have balance to cover, so it uses up all your funds if you want and save much time and stress.

I cant comment on the selling side of things in TH as i have no experience yet.

Surely you guys (TH) have used gox to trade even just to compare and know what im talking about ... Huh?

Is there a reason it is this clunky slow way or can it be changed ?

thanks
Hayden.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Push notifications from both MtGox and TradeHill on: July 11, 2011, 12:21:31 AM
This is a great app i found some weeks ago, and i rated it 5 stars. Is there a reason you have made it so you have to reactivate the push notification after each message ??

thanks.
100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin traders, why don't you just trade forex? on: July 11, 2011, 12:08:23 AM
Quote
That's the EXACT same position you're in with Bitcoin trading, which was the point I was making.  At least with a FX bucket shop you've got the law and regulatory agencies on your side, not to mention the fact that you're trading with a real business and not some dude with a server in his mom's garage.

this is untrue, majority of forex markets are unregulated and can and do trade/hedge against you, also they can be run out of some dude's garage. many are just 'games' (software run on servers that you play on), there is very little connection between the servers you trade on and the open market.

to trade on the open market takes 100's of thousands of dollars
