I need your response.
Have you noticed any errors and problems with 0.15.99 client?
Are transactions sent and received normally?
Are there any problems with data saving and restoring?
So far only positive feedback; Quick installation on Ubuntu 16.04 x64 and Ubuntu 14.04 x64 Fast syncronization, took about 2 hours connected to 14 peers. No one will help meIs it safe we use online wallet? I am mining With xpmclient v.10.2.2 Inside online wallet(datacoin online wallet). but in https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dtc I have problem. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FJ00bN5y.png&t=663&c=azznkyuhl0X0nw) As far as what I can see is that you do not have a problem - it is change sent back to the mining pool that you use - just follow the audit trail. The received amount on the address is not the final balance of the address that belong to you. The total amount that the address received was 1,911.91034194 DTC and 314.90616155 DTC was returned as change with the final balance of the address being 1,597.00418039 DTC - just follow the transaction hash (40eed....) to see how much DTC was paid to many addresses from the mining pool and what change was returned to the mining pool. This is most likely one of the reasons why you should not mine directly to any online wallet or exchange address - rather set a limit on your mining pool and then request a payout to your address so that the coins that you receive are not newly generated coins. Anyone else that can explain this better - please do so. Tnx H

@mohsenp I found, that exactly two hours later, the xpmclient(any version) closes. why? I have found that the xpmclient closes due to an interruption in your internet access - either loss of connection or IP change from your ISP. This issue was resolved once I have changed over from ADSL to Fibre Connection now having a static IP and no more lost connections. H

If you're developing an altcoin, asking this is unacceptable - you should know better! The correct private key version is probably , according to the source code (address version + 128). Ouch! quite a nasty remark - even the most educated was once an idiot! To answer you on your statement, no I am not developing an altcoin, I am just interested in all the projects that I find interesting. Anyway, I do appreciate you taking the time to reply to my question, I did however eventually found what I was looking for. Hopefully your reply will also be of some assistance to someone else in the future. H.

What should I replace with in order for my Private key (WIF key) to start with the capital letter Q - the wallet return an invalid private key message Tnx, H.

QR code in Datacoin 0.8.6 I noticed the QR code in the Datacoin 0.8.6 wallet prepared by Chicago. To be honest, I am a bit behind on the use of QR codes, but I understand you can do transactions by scanning the QR code or taking pictures with your smartphone. I am interested in working out a roadmap for Datacoin on the smartphone, and I suppoose the next thing we will have to do is put QR codes on www.datacoin.tk/wallet so that we could scan Datacoin phone to phone via the phone browser? Crude, I know, but by using Firefox on the phone and the datacoin.tk wallet we would be able to scan Datacoin payments from phone to phone? Hi, Added a quick solution for generating QR codes to make deposits into the wallet. Let me know if there are any specific features that I could add and if possible provide me with a working example and I will see if I will be able to add it to the wallet. Tnx, H

Apparently, the first version was 1.1 (It's possible that they didn't make a release on the GitHub before) which got released on March 2015. Thank you, found what I was looking for. H

Hi,
Could anyone tell me the first version number for coinbin?
I can not find the progression of the versions in GitHub and need a prior version for another coin that I am involved with.
The previous version was wiped when I downloaded 1.3 and realised to late that the new version will not be compatible with the coin than I am involved with.
Thank you,
H

I know how Bitcoin works, but I am new to Bitcoin development. I want to develop a bitcoin client as a side project for learning purposes, and on reading I came across Bitcoin Core. My question is, are all the currently available wallets and clients built on top of the Bitcoin Core, or is there any other way of building them from scratch?
The answer that you are looking for is yes. Setting up Bitcoin Core on your local server or remote server that will give you four executable files depending on your system used, it will be bitcoind, bitcoin-cli, bitcoin-tx, and bitcoin-qt and these are the executable files that your client use to interact with the bitcoin network. As an example, you need to create a bitcoin.conf file to accept JSON-RPC commands. Just take not e of the rpcauth cookie that is needed in the bitcoin.conf file if you do not want to be driven insane trying to find out why you cannot interact with the daemon. H

Now you will need a Github account and Ubuntu 14.04 x64 to install and run the new Sonicoin Core: 0.15.1 #!/bin/bash
echo "Welcome to Ubuntu 14.04 x64 SoniCoin 0.15.0.1"

echo "Upgrade server." sudo apt-get -y update sudo apt-get -y upgrade sudo apt-get -y autoremove sudo apt-get -y install build-essential libtool autotools-dev automake pkg-config libssl-dev libevent-dev sudo apt-get -y install bsdmainutils libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-chrono-dev sudo apt-get -y install libboost-program-options-dev libboost-test-dev libboost-thread-dev git sudo apt-get -y install software-properties-common

echo "Download Berkley4.8. do not change this to sonicoin" sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get -y install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev
echo "Download SoniCoin 0.15.0.1" git clone https://github.com/sonicoin/sonicoin cd sonicoin ./autogen.sh ./configure make make install cd
echo "Create conf file" mkdir -p ~/.sonicoin touch ~/.sonicoin/sonicoin.conf
# JSON-RPC options (for controlling a running Sonicoin/sonicoind process)
# server=1 tells Sonicoin-qt to accept JSON-RPC commands. server=1
# You must set rpcuser and rpcpassword to secure the JSON-RPC api rpcuser=rpcusername rpcpassword=rpcpassword
# By default, only RPC connections from localhost are allowed. rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

" > ~/.sonicoin/sonicoin.conf sleep 3 clear
echo "Start server" sonicoind -server -daemon sleep 15 watch 'sonicoinn-cli getblockcount'
May the odds be in your favor! H.

That's it SoniCoin Core: 0.15.1 is born. You should rather not proceed with the creation of this coin if you do not understand the information above and I would suggest that you read about the difference between cloning a coin and making it your own and creating a fork. May the odds be in your favor! H.

Hi Hamburger, I should have been more specific in that I would like to use the rpc commands to access datacoind with PHP - have done it a long time ago with bitcoin and do not know if things have changed.
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/PHP_developer_intro may be a good pointer in the right direction. Let us know if it works for you. Best Regards, -Chicago It seems to me that I found my problem, however, I'll test it later to be sure. From the original post; I'll have to find the source that gjhiggins made available. Tnx, H

Hi Hamburger, I have just had a look at one of the nodes that I run and noticed that the money supply over the last week increased from about 2750000 to nearly 400000 and the blocks are solved at a rate of 15 per second - who could be mining at this rate and with what?
Over here, the last three blocks looked like the following. grep SetBestChain /var/lib/datacoin/debug.log | tail -n 3 2017-10-05 00:54:30 SetBestChain: new best=6b8ca6e413ad535f4adfbf654cd602b4c03b07f0239ccc0cb1d137babcbd1368 height=2067186 difficulty=8.8249899 log2Work=20.316233 log2ChainWork=44.260878 tx=2359386 date=2017-10-05 00:51:08 progress=0.999941 2017-10-05 00:54:38 SetBestChain: new best=0b192dcb3b26a14ceaea1d0c6d930f53accebd397acc473bb4ab1a77ea183567 height=2067187 difficulty=8.8250101 log2Work=20.316373 log2ChainWork=44.260879 tx=2359387 date=2017-10-05 00:54:32 progress=0.999998 2017-10-05 00:56:47 SetBestChain: new best=6bb5c0d04d8ed7f45a8f432b77ed77512a6b05eb2a8087774735952b0a02495b height=2067188 difficulty=8.8249269 log2Work=20.315794 log2ChainWork=44.260879 tx=2359388 date=2017-10-05 00:54:37 progress=0.999962
What is the height of your copy of the blockchain and what hash do you have for block 2067188? datacoind getblockhash 2067188 6bb5c0d04d8ed7f45a8f432b77ed77512a6b05eb2a8087774735952b0a02495b
Also, is there anyone that can help me to get a datacoin.conf file properly setup to get rpc commands working on Ubuntu
Inside of your ~/.datacoin/datacoin.conf make certain you have a rpcuser= and rpcpassword= declaration in order to be able to make RPC. Using datacoind a simple 'datacoind getinfo' should just work after you've started datacoind with the rpcuser and rpcpassword specified. Best Regards, -Chicago First problem solved I do not know where I got the source code from for the datacoind that I have complied - it seems to use another block chain - anyway, there where ten connections, so it seems like I am not the only one that made that mistake. Second problemI should have been more specific in that I would like to use the rpc commands to access datacoind with PHP - have done it a long time ago with bitcoin and do not know if things have changed. Tnx H
