The first response already identified the IP address as a Tor exit node. Further attempts to identify will be fruitless.

an attempt to login to my wallet account from I.P. address 95.211.6.197
It seems like he found that IP from the website, not from the email. I was trying to see if we could figure out if the email was faked and figure out if he needs to worry about phishing.
86  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FED to Buy Bitcoin on: April 09, 2013, 04:48:31 PM
I would think... Not if they retain enough of the supply to control the amount of the supply to such a degree that they can still start and end the business cycle at will.
Currently, there are only a hand-full of methods to get Bitcoins from USD. Those methods would get flooded and possibly crash themselves. If it does happen that way, they would need to exploit those methods (banks, etc).

Having such high inflation would destroy the United States Dollar in the process.

You'll have to post it via the forums, I don't have access to your email account.

90  Economy / Economics / Re: When to "move the decimal points" ? on: April 09, 2013, 03:53:12 PM
Wouldn't the only bad thing to come out of extending the decimal points be the increased size of the blockchain?
The scripts that people use would allow the extra decimals to be optional and just pass as 0's.
The only thing that would need to change would be, how far should it go out?
It's inevitable that one day we will be REQUIRED to move it further as the supply/demand increases. After-all, there will only be 21 million coins EVER.

Currently:
Code:

Change:
Code:
https://blockchain.info/merchant/$guid/payment?password=$main_password&second_password=$second_password&to=$address&amount=$amount&from=$from&shared=$shared&fee=$fee&e=$note

Look at the symbol before e=$note
92  Economy / Economics / Fears of the Future of Bitcoins on: April 09, 2013, 03:16:57 PM
Ask anyone who knows me, they will tell you I'm obsessed with Bitcoin. I have no doubt that Bitcoins will grow and entire countries may start adapting the currency into their every-day economy. With that, I give you my fears.

For the businesses who don't/can't use Bitcoins: It is possible that Bitcoin can become to big to actually threaten the usage of the United States Dollar. With this, it is also possible that big businesses (Government, Visa, Mastercard, Paypal) that rely on this "USD" may soon fear the BTC. There is a possibility of them getting together to take out a monetary loan to attempt to eradicate the exchange of Bitcoins for USD. What's $1,000,000,000 to milti-billion dollar companies to save their USD from loosing it's value?

For the businesses who use (or require the use of) Bitcoins: There will be little fear of Bitcoins unless government intervenes and denies the usage for sales. This will do one of two things: 1) Drive Bitcoins into the ground, or strait into underground-only markets or 2) force companies to shutdown/re-locate in support of the ever-growing new currency (unlikely).

If it hasn't already, Bitcoins will change the idea of currency for the world. Even if Bitcoins doesn't succeed, the idea of having a decentralized economy will still spring back up in the future one way or another. Mark my words, by ~2023 (this date should sound familiar) either Bitcoins will be the only currency or a look-alike will take it's place.

What would help keep Bitcoins alive? My idea?
It would take a movement to convert people from constantly using USD to: occasionally using USD and constantly using BTC. First, businesses will need to start accepting Bitcoins wide-scale. Unfortunately, the USD/BTC market isn't deep enough for any multi-billion dollar companies to see the use in accepting this currency where they can't even afford to pay the electricity bill on all their buildings in Bitcoins without crashing the exchanges.

We need to talk to as many small-to-medium size ($1-$10 million/year) companies in order to create a stable growth in Bitcoins. Once the depths reach ~$5million (to move BTC/USD $1), that is when it would be suitable for larger companies ($10-$50 million/year) to start accepting. After that, it would be a toss-up for larger companies to start accepting.

These are my guesses. Everything is from my brain (watching markets, trading, news...etc).
93  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitcoin Wiki possible spam sites on: April 09, 2013, 01:44:04 PM
Doesn't seem like people can edit the wiki anymore to add their site, I was going to add a comment suggesting possible spam sites. Anyways...

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PPC] NothinG's Pool (Beta Testing) on: October 08, 2012, 12:54:52 AM
I am back, sorry I've been gone for so long. My laptop died and I couldn't get it to a working condition (took me almost 2 weeks to accept that my laptop was actually dead). After that, I decided to go ahead and start working on my new computer.

I just got all the parts in Friday, starting working on installing basic drivers and software (as well as going into Saturday after work). I'm still getting everything upgraded (software like filezilla, winscp, notepad++, and VS12) so I should be able to push out payments hopefully tomorrow if not, Tuesday.
95  Other / Off-topic / Runescape Private Server? on: September 16, 2012, 06:31:28 PM
Would anyone be interested in joining an RS private server?
This would be a 3xx server as that's the only thing that would be legal to run.

99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PPC] NothinG's Pool (Beta Testing) on: September 12, 2012, 11:51:22 PM
Sorry for my sacarstic previous post, just reread it... I manage myself a pool so I know how it can be...

Anyway I'm sure one of my ppc disappeared ( not a real prob for me) just to signal it to you.

Then the other request was about blocks and share associated. I feel like I didndt been credit for all blocks I helped to mine. Anyway for this part that just feeling and personnal checking on stats page... but its impossible to check and be sure at 100% in stats page how much share a user done on block. But i know where my miners was open and so what block i mined and i often didnt see my PPC verified increase when a new block reach 560 confirm... Well I hope you understand me
The block confirmations are automatic, where as the payout-shares is done manually.
The stats page (aside from the server stats (not pool) and verified balance (-1 PPC)) should not be trusted. It's there just to be general and kinda get an idea how much blocks are worth.
I've got a page that I use from time-to-time to tell me how many coins are still in the wallet.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PPC] NothinG's Pool (Beta Testing) on: September 12, 2012, 08:46:35 PM
I didn't requested a withdraw, the 1ppc gone from my balance, was 141, then 140 later...when it should up after a new block validation which I helped to mine, for the one I got no PPC and even have 1 less.... Anyway I moved on another pool, thanks for reply.
I'm not even sure how that would be possible.
I don't have anywhere in the code that would take 1 from anyone's account aside from the balance it shows at the top of the page or if you're withdrawing.

Either way, I didn't expect my pool to be up this long.
It's been more trouble that expected, but I'll keep it up for whoever wants to use it.
