81  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: GLBSE is upgrading their Bitcoin client on: August 22, 2012, 06:41:55 PM
The question is, why need to download the blockchain again??
Because the vulnerability that was fixed could result in a "stuck" or corrupt blockchain if a malicious entity felt like jamming a screwdriver in the gears.
82  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Putting your money where Pirate's mouth is. on: August 22, 2012, 03:58:57 PM
Yes exactly. theft can be of any asset of value, even bitcoins. Lack of research does not mitigate the crime of theft. If Pirate does not return people's money in a reasonable amount of time then he should be prosecuted for theft and fraud. Contacting the District Attorney is definitely the right thing to do. I would recommend have a few spokesperson's and gathering as many names as you can for submission to the DA's office. If nothing else it may create a little pressure on pirate to speed up the refunds if he really intends to do so. If not the sooner action is taken the sooner the damage can be mitigated before the coins are cashed out and Pirate is sipping rum on beach, located in a country without extradition to the US.

You couldn't even get a scummy debt collector to touch this until 30 days have passed.
83  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS]Cheap Windows 7&8 key from MSDN on: August 22, 2012, 03:49:35 PM
If you sell too many of them, they may get blocked. Selling MSDN keys or using them outside of a development environment at the company for which they were purchased is against the MSDN ToS.

Quote from: MSDN Website
MSDN subscriptions are licensed on a per-user basis.  One person can use the software to design, develop, test, or demonstrate his or her programs on any number of devices.  Each person who uses the software this way needs a license.

MSDN subscriptions are only offered per individual, there are no “team” subscriptions or sharing of subscription benefits.  You should select the right MSDN Subscription for each person on your software development team based on the software that person needs to use and the support benefits required. Remember that team members who install the software (such as IT Professionals who install software for a test lab) will also need an MSDN subscription.

Many MSDN subscribers use a computer for mixed use—both design, development, testing, and demonstration of your programs (the use allowed under the MSDN subscription license) and some other use.  Using the software in any other way, such as for doing email, playing games, or editing a document is another use and is not covered by the MSDN subscription license. When this happens, the underlying operating system must also be licensed normally by purchasing a regular copy of Windows such as the one that came with a new OEM PC.
84  Other / Off-topic / Re: power / cooling requirements for BitForce Jalapeno on: August 22, 2012, 03:40:14 PM
According to BFL themselves, it will be USB powered with an additional power input to make the hot plate hotter, since it was established that existing USB powered coffee warmers don't get hot enough to actually keep the coffee warm.

That's a joke, right?

If not, it must be a scam.

More heat - that's exactly what every miner wants  Sad
You missed the part where the extra heat was optional, only if you connect the external power supply.

So the external power supply is supposedly only if you want to use it to heat coffee, and won't be needed normally.

However, no one has yet seen a prototype or anything.

87  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The gauntlet has officially been thrown down by Trendon Shavers aka. pirateat40 on: August 22, 2012, 01:46:51 PM
Whiny bitch.

I agree...Pirateat40 is a whiny bitch lol  Cheesy
Good job reading into my statement the opposite of what I said. The facts of the matter are that Pirate has started exactly one thread in relation to the closing the business, and bitlane possibly as many as five or even more.

In other words, fuck you.

Also, could you possibly be "mem" or related to her/him? You have a similar posting style (e.g., "I REPEAT EVERYTHING LOUDLY MANY TIMES BECAUSE THAT MAKES IT COME TRUE! LOL)

rjk, you must either be insane or a pirate shill.

You and bitlane were attacking me in tandem in a thread about BFL once.
Seems to be your usual tactic though, troll a thread and accuse everyone of being a sock puppet when they have no need for them (unlike pirate, bfl, inaba, etc).
It's true though, isn't it? You guys sound a lot like each other. Grin

Ooh I must have struck another nerve lol
Nope, same one, just that you are too stupid to figure it out.
89  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The gauntlet has officially been thrown down by Trendon Shavers aka. pirateat40 on: August 21, 2012, 09:54:52 PM
just to clear something up: it maybe easy to register a business without ID, but no bank will open a business account if you don't present them ID for the same name to which business was registered.
Who needs banks when you deal in cash?

kind of hard to move hard cash into online exchanges/otc
Maybe he hasn't made it very clear, but it is my understanding that this is all cash-in-person type stuff. I recall a description of a transaction that basically consisted of someone bringing him a suitcase full of cash at a meeting point, and then he would go home and send the coins. I can't find it in my IRC logs or anywhere though, so maybe I imagined it, or maybe my search skills suck.

See what I mean about you misinterpreting what I say?

I am considering taking my leave of this place for a good long while.

I'm sorry you suck so bad at reading comprehension, it must be horrible to live like that.

Whiny bitch.

Agreed.  I have him on ignore and I can STILL sense the whining shite eminating from this thread.

Such a douche.
^This is why I said that. I am not invested at all. I am considering taking my leave of this place for a good long while.

Not hacked. I just cannot stand assholes that start 5-10 new threads about the SAME DAMN THING just because something didn't happen.

copy that list and then make a poll with multiple voting options
Aren't you supposed to say Bill Cosby?

I think kid shows should be left for the kids to watch and talked about between children.

So why are you talking about this show?
The quality of your trolling has gone downhill lately. Are you slowly being assimilated?
