81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Western Union getting into crypto on: July 09, 2018, 06:09:08 AM
they saw how they are losing the market to a real currency (bitcoin) which people have been eyeing for sometime now and they are now afraid that they can lose considerable amount of revenue to bitcoin as more people start using it. so they want to use the crypto hype to their own advantage and save their business.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What indication will this rise bring on: July 08, 2018, 03:21:30 PM
unfortunately bitcoin drop ended so there was no more altcoin dumping. that meant they got some opportunity to recover a little, but they are still in bubble.
what this means is that we will continue seeing their bubble linger for a longer time and the chances of big rise goes out of the window.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is there a possibility that Ethereum will reach $200 this year? on: July 08, 2018, 03:04:49 PM
only if we are lucky!

and i am not talking about some profit making from that low price but i am talking about a healthier market which can only be achieved if ETH bubble bursts and it goes down to its real value instead of this bloated one that we currently have. i would even argue that $100 is a better price for it but i'll settle for $200.
if that doesn't happen then we will be stuck in this bubble and the threat of the catastrophic dump is always with us and we won't be able to see any proper rise.
84  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is now the turnaround point? on: July 08, 2018, 02:52:11 PM
i believe it is too soon to tell but from what we have we can see that there is a very nice upward momentum shaping up. if you look at the previous 10 days price you can see that we are constantly rising with small retracements which are small corrections which can point to a bigger upcoming rally.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Zero , new fork between HEXX coin and Bitcoin, your thought? on: July 07, 2018, 12:02:29 PM
there is never much thought about any of these forked coin projects since they are not even real projects. they are copy of code from one or two projects combined together so that they can release a coin and make money from it. that is all there is to it. everyone just claims them and dumps then they join the list of junk coins for pump and dumps!
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market tactics on: July 07, 2018, 09:45:04 AM
The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL?
that is the worst advice!
it is like a falling knife (which actually people compare altcoins to often) and you are telling people to open their hands and catch that falling knife.
the best advice is to sell when you see dumps like this. of course unless you WANT to lose money. Grin

Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.
you must always set stop losses even when you are seeing a pump going on. because at any moment they can reverse it and dump on you instead so you have to be prepared. although you should be careful how you set the stop loss. too big and you will lose a lot, too small and you will end up selling every time there is a tiny change.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Bitcoin Bulls are serious and Bitcoin is on the verge of going to the moon! on: July 06, 2018, 11:34:25 AM
i disagree.
the trend is not just going to be reversed that easily. it will take time for a bear market to give its place to a bull market, specially the big ass bull market that you have in mind. right now we are still testing the bottoms for their strength and then we are also seeing an accumulation phase where price will stay here more or less with some possible small dumps to trap the bears then (maybe in 1-2 months after that) we can see the big rises start.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good strategy to buy tokens at low price directly after ICO? on: July 06, 2018, 11:17:26 AM
If the price after token distribution become lower then on ICO sale - yes it is good strategy. But at first you should analyze does this project has potential for future growth.

not really. a lot of tokens are only being created so that they can be dumped immediately after distribution and to die right afterwards. which means they are released the dump happens, price continues going down and it goes lower than the ICO sale price and continues downward until it is dead.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about trading bots? on: July 06, 2018, 09:30:44 AM
I have been trying to learn how to trade for some months now, but somehow I make wrong decisions along the way which makes mW to lose money.
this means that you must stay away from all bots because your problem is not with not-having a bot. your problem is that you are not good at trading and if you start using a bot you will just confuse yourself even more and you may even lose a lot more money since you still don't know what you are doing.

first you should learn how to trade and be successful in it for a while then think about bots.

I've recently been thinking of trading bots. I saw Dropil's trading platform and its AI not. Today, I saw Cryptics AI platform for trading bots. What do you think about these platforms and others like it? Does anyone have experience with them? Would you recommend using them?
i haven't checked it out completely but from my initial glance and seeing them all i see is hot air instead of anything proper. and they just call it "AI" where in reality it is the same script as any other bot uses. there is no Intelligence!
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin playing into the hands of the competitors? on: July 06, 2018, 09:21:57 AM
I only mentioned Ethereum, because they are hyped as the Bitcoin replacement in the media.

the "media" is saying  a lot of things. they are even saying "bitcoin is a ponzi scheme". if we start paying attention to the "media" which is basically a click-bait fiasco you should one day buy bitcoin with extreme enthusiasm because they told you it is the best and the next day you should dump it because they told you it is bad!

anybody with money can advertise their coin in the media like ETH does! that's not really hard.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the “Last Thing I’d Want to Own” if Grid Goes Down: Short Seller on: July 06, 2018, 09:14:53 AM
Cryptocurrency advocates often tout bitcoin as “digital gold,” but famed short seller Jim Chanos said that BTC is the “last thing” he’d want to own in a full-blown crisis.

if a "full blown crisis" happens and the "grid" goes down then you are in a deeper shit that you can't even begin to imagine and bitcoin, gold, money(fiat), all your possessions like house, car,... are all the last  things you would want to own.

in other words that "genius" /s made the most obvious statement of all times.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will be the new king on: July 05, 2018, 10:19:18 AM
ETH is not even a currency let alone be a mainstream one! why do you insist on sticking it hard to bitcoin pretending they are on the same level? bitcoin is so ahead that if you look back you can't even see shitcoins like ethereum!

what will be king? bitcoin until someone creates a much better cryptocurrency that has all the bitcoin attributes such as high security, decentralization, super high speed transactions with LN,... and that day is not going to come for at least 50 years.
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: Triple bottom: yes or no on: July 05, 2018, 09:46:08 AM
These talks of "bottom" and "macd" and "bollinger band" and "rsi" etc etc all are bunch of attempts of making bitcoin look like any other stock or forex currency but you guys are forgetting one important thing. No matter what you do bitcoin is still insanely volatile due to people.
it is true that bitcoin is nothing like other markets and it is volatile but none of the things you said here means "bottoms",... are not true. the thing is you shouldn't be expecting that much out of TA in first place and this is not bitcoin related. if you lower your expectation to realistic levels then you can see how correct they are.

we have seen what happened when mtgox trustee sold 44k btc at once.
WRONG. what we saw was not effects of someone selling x amount of bitcoin. what we saw was the effects of the FUD scaring newbies into thinking someone is dumping bitcoin.
in reality MtGox was not even selling his coins on the market. google his statements and see for yourself...

What I mean is, a person may come up and buy 10k bitcoin at once and get us to 7k or maybe another person just sells 100k bitcoins which would cripple us for a long time. What will happen can not be explained via charts as long as these "one person changing the market" situation stays.
manipulation exists but it is not even close to the big illusion that you have made it to be like.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Hack Proof or Not? on: July 05, 2018, 09:30:45 AM
So bitcoin itself is almost impossible to hack and it is extremely hack proof, the hacking of bitcoin comes from breach in wallets and transaction processes.

what does the bold part mean?!!
and this statement is misleading if not wrong. bitcoin IS unhackable period. 9 years of secure bitcoin after millions of hackers trying to hack it is  the proof of that.
all the things you read has nothing to do with wallets nor whatever that bold part means. the reasons for all of them is one thing: human error.
for example when you don't use cold storage and instead store your bitcoin on your desktop and then download some malware you can't say it was a "breach in my wallet". the reason was you not being careful.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin future in India on: July 05, 2018, 08:28:59 AM
from what i have seen so far from Indian, they understand the power of decentralization and bitcoin. that is why they have been so involved with it and have been accumulating it so far. we may end up seeing a large percentage of bitcoin supply belong to them at some point in the future if we don't catch up.

also lets not forget that bitcoin or trading of it is perfectly legal in India so there is nothing even slowing them down from buying bitcoin.
96  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is The dips bitcoin encountering intentional? on: July 05, 2018, 08:22:57 AM
if the bank creates Altcoin then the bank has violated the rules and I do not think this is possible.

they are not exactly creating these altcoins directly and there are no rule violations even if they did. what they do is that they back them up, usually by backing up a company that is registered but mainly is creating that altcoin so by backing that company they feed it money and that money is used to pump and dump that altcoin and the profit goes in the pocket of the bank.
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is The dips bitcoin encountering intentional? on: July 05, 2018, 06:47:46 AM
there are manipulations in bitcoin market just like any other market but to say it is "banks" because they want to buy in, doesn't sound right to me specially because this "dip" may seem new to you that haven't seen anything else before but it is not new to bitcoin which had A LOT of dips exactly like this one in the past.

plus if banks wanted to make profit then they would have created altcoins just like many of them that did: ETH, XRP are two good examples of altcoins created by the banking cartel. and you can see they are making a lot of money from pump and dumping them.
