just buy a small amount and you wouldn't be really taking much of a risk!

lets review what we know:
- bitcoin is the best thing you can invest in for long term.
- it has a lot of potential because it is the only decentralized money that has ever worked and existed.
- it has a limited supply
- we are currently in a dip and even if the dip were to continue more, you are still buying in the dip and that's what matters.

so invest what you can afford to lose and be happy that you got on board!

the author seems to be mostly in favor of conspiracy theories and that is clearly visible in his writing. additionally i have a feeling that he is very new to bitcoin market and has failed to do his research about the history of bitcoin price and its ups and downs.

yeah, as long as you start small and keep the risks that you are taking to a reasonable level, it is going to stay fun and also profitable. but the problem with day trading, specially when it comes to altcoins day trading is that the market is completely unpredictable at times and it can potentially mean losing everything you own and all the profit that you had made so far!
for example being in the right altcoin at the wrong time can mean a disaster...

why would anyone want to lose this awesome opportunity that is being provided to use NOW and ignore it to come back 2 "years" later?
instead of hiding under the bed it is best to start making plans on how and when you want to buy bitcoin before the price starts rising back up again. the when is important though because you always want to be as close to the bottom as possible.

LOL. both of these coins are pump and dump altcoins which people don't care about.
NEO has some interesting stuff about it which may give it some potential of rise in the coming pumping season but Bitcoin Cash is completely useless. it was created and also pumped a couple of times only because bitcoin fees were high because the creators of BCH were spamming bitcoin. now that they ran out of money to spam bitcoin and fees came to normal there is no point in BCH to even exist anymore.
soon with lightning network there would be even less than nothing reason for BCH to exist!

since nothing is low at the moment i am buying nothing.

being lower doesn't mean they are low.
being lower means they are getting dumped and the dump has not yet ended so it is not a wise choice to start buying while the dump is ongoing. you need to wait first for the dumps to finish and then when you were nearly sure that the bottom was reached and also the pump was coming then you buy. but both of these conditions has to be met first.

pump and dumps are never known to last the long term which is why ETH is never going to remain a good investment for long. it is always best to buy it at the bottom before the pump starts then dump it after it is pumped.

when everyone is silent it means whales are accumulating for the pump and newbies have already dumped it. but when you keep hearing about it, that means whales are dumping and newbies are desperate because they are losing money.

i personally like it most when new merchant or services start accepting bitcoin.
one of the things that i always tell others is that if you really want bitcoin to grow you have to start using it as a currency and in order to do that you need to keep asking the places you are already using to start accepting bitcoin so that you can spend it there. these merchants need to see our demand first before they adopt bitcoin.

if anyone has half a brain and bothers enough to do some research they can see the huge potential that bitcoin has in the long term. it is not something that can make you rich overnight but in long term there is no doubt for its growth.
in other words it doesn't matter what fluctuations it has in short term.

i think the next bull market will start with a new altcoin, or possibly one of the old ones that is not even in the top altcoins. we may start seeing some serious change and a huge pump and because of the rise of that altcoin from a very low price to a huge price and also because of the fact that it will come into top coins and probably become number 2 we can see the bull market start up real nice.

it certainly wouldn't be the first time though. the top coins always keep on changing because the pumpers always move on to new coins that have low value to get the most profit out of them.

there is basically two big problems with this kind of investment. when you put your money in  A LOT of altcoins you are opening yourself to a lot of problems.
for starters storing different altcoins will become a nightmare at some point and storing on exchanges is not an option unless you want to wake up to $0 one day.
then you are making it nearly impossible to track the changes of each coin and you won't be able to react to them when you have so many of them!

and finally the most obvious problem is that you think you are diversifying but you are not really! simply because the coins move together most of the times. for example you can see all of them are getting dumped hard right now so you really didn't diversify or reduce any risks! you just added some complications to your investment.

as far as i know China has never banned cryptocurrencies to want to remove the ban now, since you can't remove something that is not there to begin with. they have banned exchanges and put a lot of restrictions on ICOs and i don't see any of these two change in the future. they may end up letting some exchanges open back up with strict regulations and some very strict ICOs to get their funds but it won't be a removal of any kind of bans at all.

this just proves yet again that you have no idea what bitcoin is! you know of bitcoin as something that you buy and it magically gives you profit.

nah, just because price is falling and you didn't expect it, that doesn't mean it is pure luck. it just means you were not experienced enough to expect a drop and you were definitely not experienced enough to make profit from that drop.
otherwise the rest of the traders with experience are enjoying their profit these days too.

it will depend on the altcoin you are trading. right now $10,000 is going to give you 1.179BTC and with that amount you can affect the price of at least a hundred different altcoins, possibly more. these altcoins that i am talking about have small volumes since nobody trades them anymore so you can place big buy walls, manipulate the market and a lot of other tactics to pump and dump them.

but if you try to do anything in a bigger market your 1.179BTC will be nothing in something like litecoin for example because they have a much bigger market.

that is why it is becoming harder and harder to manipulate bitcoin because bitcoin is the only thing that is growing for real.

you are using fiat, aren't you? and when you use fiat, you have to follow certain laws including this KYC/AML thing. for example if you try trading stocks with your fiat, they will ask you the same questions. even if you go to an online shop like Steam and try buying a game with your fiat they will ask your address,... for the same reasons.

so why are you surprised when they are asking the same questions when you try to use your fiat to trade bitcoin?

of course bitcoin has bubbles, it had lots of them in its short history. small bubbles and big bubbles alike. it is something that is being traded and because of that it enters bubbles from time to time.

but is it currently in a bubble is another question. and in my opinion there no longer is any bubble. it was corrected and the fact that price has fallen this much proves it and also the fact that the media keeps calling it a bubble proves it is no longer a bubble.
every time you hear something in the media against bitcoin, know that the exact opposite is true.

there aren't really that much positive points to this project to begin with so there is absolutely no reason for it to have a big rise. considering the supply of it is very huge and the fact that people don't care about it, the chances of huge rises are low specially since it had a pump not so long ago.

in any case a 500% rise is only possible if one of the biggest pumping teams that pumps coins like ethereum for example take an interest in this coin and starts pumping it. otherwise there is no reason for it.

i don't agree with OP on the price ($1) but he has a lot of good points here. ethereum is in fact a very risky investment with a dangerous price. the rise of it has always been based purely on hype and a rise based on hype is a dangerous one.

and to be fair to OP, ETH price has already dropped more than 70%

i have bought bitcoin with cash but never anything else and i don't want to do that either because i don't want to turn my money into altcoins. what i want to do is to turn my money into bitcoin (so i buy bitcoin with fiat) and then i want to make profit on the bitcoins that i already have (so i start trading altcoins which means i buy altcoins with bitcoin).

as for the anonymity of cash, i don't care for it much. i pay my taxes and i am not doing anything shady or illegal so i am not planning on hiding anything.
