1021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If omitted bitcoin? on: February 06, 2017, 12:56:18 PM
What if anyone wants to eliminate the bitcoin
This question always arises in my mind
as we know that digital currency it could eradicate the economic problems of each person.
But what if no one from the Government or concerned with currency want to eliminate the bitcoin.
I need to friends who are here to give you a bit of advice for me regarding this myself ...

it is hard to understand what you really mean, or even you are asking a legit question or making a random topic without even reading the replies. i guess me saying this here will clear things out, in case you clarify or ignore this.

in any case your question is similar to other many topics about what if bitcoin is banned and the rest of them what ifs. you can read them to maybe get our answer.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: February 05, 2017, 12:20:24 PM
It's the thrill that everyone gets one they win big one time when gambling, or at least the chance that they can win big. Most people will end up losing, but when one person who won big goes out and shows everyone it gives other people the impression they can do it without a problem.

It's a greed thing.

Greed is the real reason why we keep on gambling while we are losing a lot at the same time. Also the feeling of we want to recover the losses we made is another impact why we are crazy for gambling all day long. We are not realizing that instead of losing small amount, our loss keeps on becoming bigger as long as we are not stopping.

Yup, we are being too greedy and that is making us lose most of the time and keep playing although we have negative profit. Gambling is an addiction, a game and a dangerous thing at the same time. You can end up being homeless, from the point you started or rich.

And because of that addiction the casino's are keep on creating promo's and bonuses that can attract us to keep on gambling with them. So instead of stopping when we lose, that is making us more encourage because of that promo and possibly we are the lucky one that can hit that promo, specifically with the wagering contests.

that is only your mentality that leads to becoming a gambling addict and losing lots of money when you keep making bets and keep losing.
for many others, the promotions is like a free money and mostly like some money that you can "test" the new casinos (whether it is a brand new casino or an old casino but it is new to you). and you can always handle your own money and never lose more that you want with a simple self control.
1023  Economy / Speculation / Re: If we break $1000, are we going to see another ATH? on: February 05, 2017, 12:14:36 PM
-snip-
So it seems to start sellin Bitcoin at $1100+ isn't a bad idea. I sold about .6 at $1020.

selling bitcoin when price of it goes up is never a bad idea, but as long as you are willing to accept the risks of selling it.

we have all seen time and again when price goes up, you sell and then price keeps going higher and even after the correction it no longer comes back to where you have sold.

so if you can accept this risk then sell, enjoy the profit, and buy back if you could. otherwise you will end up losing a lot of money and so many good opportunities.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which is the best altcoin exchange? on: February 05, 2017, 12:08:05 PM
Which is the best altcoin exchange

Actually to choose the exchange which is best to use is depend upon the requirement of the user or trader .
If you are newbie then I will prefer to use yobit.net because yobit.net is that exchange which is easy to understand and unlimited number of altcoins for trading ( even when some altcoins got less active dead ) .
But best exchange to understand the trading .
But if you want to go for the big trading and big security go for poloniex , bitrex etc .
Since about all the exchanges that I have mentioned are full.of security but still we should remain careful about all the active ury with you account .
for newbies yobit is better because yobit have almost all shit and low quality coins. which some time give 200% profit and you can even start with 5$ to 10$ there..
anyway choose any exchange you want but never store your balance to exchange for long time. always keep as mush as you need for trading.

you are saying it yourself "yobit adds shitcoins" then how can you also claim it is "better"?!

because exactly what you said means they are bad. when something is a shitcoins, that means it is already a bad idea to even go near it. these coins are dying and have no logical movement. and as a result when a newbie tries to trade these he will get even more confused and will give up trading alltogether.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy MOON? on: February 05, 2017, 12:02:51 PM
I just saw the thread about MOON and that there are restarting this old coin with a new dev and there is no premining no ICO
Why is this coin so extremely cheap?
Looks like an solid coin.
Should i invest like 10€?

It is on bleutrade and I think I have to deposit bitcoin than exchange to doge and than buy some MOON.

when a coin is extremely cheap, it means it is dead and not worth investing in it anymore.
and i am talking about a very low price, a price that is even lower than 1 satoshi. when that limit is broken the coin is officially dead in my opinion and nothing can bring it back.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie wants to create new altcoin on: February 05, 2017, 11:56:52 AM
Naaaaaah, let him make his shitcoin. The more the merrrier! Fill up the swamp!  Grin

not really, it actually is more harmful than merry!

when market is filled with shitcoins left and right, soon there will come a time when nobody trusts any altcoin and people will start seeing all of them as scams, specially the new people.

and when that happens, the rest of the developers will catch up to the new trend too. when they see scammers making millions of dollar and they don't make anything they will become desperate.
1027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet Address and Payment doubt. on: February 05, 2017, 11:51:15 AM
in order to make sure, sign in your wallet account at blockchain.info and then from the left panel choose your settings and go to your wallet section (i think it is called wallets) and inside that section you can see your wallet name (which you can create multiple of) and if you click in you can see all your addresses.

also when you signed up they gave you a seed which you can use to recover all your private keys with it.
1028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices could leap to $2000 in 2017? on: February 04, 2017, 12:26:29 PM
we are on the rise and even if the rise stops and we see another correction and followed by another down time, the price will again start rising up again. remember that so far we have been hit a lot and we have seen so many FUD and down times but each time price starts picking up again and right now the rocket seems to be unstoppable even if it slows down from time to time. that is why i say it is perfectly possible to see $2000 in this year.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone tell me a good Litecoin wallet? on: February 04, 2017, 12:18:55 PM
I just started messing with LTC and i was wondering if someone could tell me a good online wallet?

i am curious to know, shouldn't you be running a full node when mining?! and that can already be used as a wallet.

also if you want a wallet, never use an online (web) wallet no matter how safe it is. always use cold storage.
besides as long as you can run a full node it is the best option, if not you can go with an SPV client. litecoin has an electrum version clled electrum-ltc which you can find on litecoin.org website. it is your second best option.
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins under 70K Valuation on: February 04, 2017, 12:11:32 PM
I'm watching this one

https://yobit.net/en/trade/TALK/BTC

No idea what the market cap is but most of the coins are lost and forgotten and haven't moved or staked in years. I stake my coins and it works for me. I don't even sell that much just letting it grow and slowly clawing back my original investment by selling a little of my stake every now and then.

anything that is listed on yobit is a no go for me. i hate that place and anything that is listed there. they list literary anything.

and besides a coin that is giving stakes out is usually going to have its price go down fast because of the amount that users earn easily and dump on the market without work.

and as you can see in the past week it has gone down -50% and it is continuing to go down.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum]UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform | Crowdsale March 2017 on: February 04, 2017, 12:05:35 PM
Iconomi made 4x after their release, why don't Qtum make same or even more? Qtum is clearly better than Iconomi, Chronobank and other similar ICO's. Qtum's competition will be against Ethereum. Qtum is offering similar smart contract system but with better ideas. We don't hassle with POW, we go directly with POS.

Here is the important bit of my research. Vitalik is invested in QTUM. We all know that Ethereum is not going to switch to POS ever. QTUM has made their platform compatible with Ethereum's present smart contracts and dapps. So I speculate that a great migration to QTUM will occur simply because it might be more stable, faster and more scalable. The migration will include Vitalik. He will leave Ethereum and declare it a community project.

hmm, i don't know if it is as good a news as you think. and you forgot to give us a resource for this news.
besides Vitalik is not going to give up his own altcoin and come invest in something he can not control. ethereum is mostly in his possession and he is making a lot of money from it. so i doubt if he really is planning on leaving anything.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: !! BEST ALTCOIN !! on: February 04, 2017, 12:01:22 PM
i can't really choose anyone because your POLL doesn't have time factor in it. it closes in 4 days but you didn't mention if you mean best right now or in general.
because if you are looking for best crypto then i will only choose bitcoin among all of them.
but in short term i say litecoin and ethereum are best right now. and then monero can be good but its time seems to be over for now so maybe in the future.
1033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: February 04, 2017, 11:55:56 AM
China totally controlling Bitcoin.

BTC.TOP operator: “We have prepared $100 million USD to kill the small fork of CoreCoin, no matter what POW algorithm, sha256 or scrypt or X11 or any other GPU algorithm. Show me your money. We very much welcome a CoreCoin change to POS.”

this has nothing to do with bitcoin, and if you think it has then read again.

.cryptocoinsnews......

i don't need to read more, as soon as i see that name i automatically realize that it is a shit post because cryptocoinnews is a known shit poster and i suggest you start reading other resources for your news about cryptocurrencies.
they lie, manipulate and mostly post click baits.
1034  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it still worth it to trade? on: February 03, 2017, 01:07:14 PM
you have two options in trading you either do day trading and use the daily short term fluctuations to make profit, in which case there is always a lot of room to make a lot of profit as bitcoin price is still volatile. and even withe less volatility the fluctuation will be there.

or you go long, and for that you need to invest soon before the mass adoption and leave it in your cold storage not touching it for a couple of years.
1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1MB block size forever is just silly on: February 03, 2017, 01:02:23 PM
have you even seen the recent spam attacks sizes?
there was time before when they did all 0.0001BTC with small fee attacks. right now they are doing random sizes with random amounts and high fees virtually undetectable by code. but they have been found.

So in other words, they are now sending the amounts and paying fees as high as everyone else.

yes and even more fees as they plan on getting confirmation and then spend again so they need faster transactions so they include higher fees.

Quote
BTC community is really pathetic , just increase the blocksize or increase the fees.

it is not the community, it is a group of assholes probably getting paid to do it. and it is possibly because of block size debate.
i am more interested to know which side is responsible

Quote
However increasing the fees makes the alts more attractive.
Sorry ass Dev Team, BTC has there, this problem has only been getting worse while they do nothing except trying to sell LN as a replacement.

lol nice joke.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] CoinMarketCap Needs to get their shit together ? on: February 03, 2017, 12:49:59 PM
coinmarketcap should only be used to see what coins are available and where. nothing else on there is reliable.
the ranking is complete bullshit.
the volume is not a good source of comparison either.

and worst of all is their exchange ranking, last time i checked Yobit was climbing the rank with supersonic speed!!! and the strange part is that the combined orderbook size in yobit is half of the shittiest coin volume traded on polo or even bittrex. how they are reporting that volume!
1037  Economy / Speculation / Re: What the price would be if there is no Bitcoin scaling in next 5 years? on: February 03, 2017, 12:42:44 PM
lack of scaling will surely damage bitcoin in the long term, specially when it is coupled with spam attacks that cause such a huge mempool size. nobody is going to continue this way as long as fees are constantly rising, in other words those idiots who are spamming the mempool are harming bitcoin more.

but at the same time, things can not go on like this, eventually miners will be forced to accept one of the proposals or a new one in between to increase the block size.
1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1MB block size forever is just silly on: February 03, 2017, 12:37:14 PM
8MB could last for a few years before needing to worry about it again.

8MB will "work" until someone wants to enforce a change again and pays for the "stress test".

LTC fixed the spam issue in 2015.
There is nothing stopping BTC from using the same type of fix.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/litecoin-shows-there-is-a-simple-fix-for-spam-attacks-on-bitcoin

Quote
CT: Can you explain why Litecoin is ‘immune’ to the spam attack?

CL: The fix implemented in Litecoin is just to charge the sender a fee for each tiny output he creates. For example, in this specific attack, the sender is charged one fee for sending to 34 tiny outputs of 0.00001 BTC. With the fix, that fee would be 34 times as much. So it would cost the attacker a lot more to perform the spam attack. The concept is fairly simple: the sender should pay for each tiny output he/she creates.

have you even seen the recent spam attacks sizes?
there was time before when they did all 0.0001BTC with small fee attacks. right now they are doing random sizes with random amounts and high fees virtually undetectable by code. but they have been found.
1039  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the business logic of bot software? on: February 02, 2017, 02:08:27 PM
In general, no one recommends the use of bot software.

What is the logic of the running bot software? Can we add our own trading algorithms to these software?

people don't recommend trading bots because it is usually a newbie who has no idea what trading is. someone who has never even visited an exchange service before in his life. and now thinks he can install a bot, click a button and make money.

and what you ask, is depending on what kind of bot you are using. they can have option to let you add and customize algorithms
1040  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1000$ rally tomorrow on: February 02, 2017, 01:59:01 PM
I think tomorrow with the Trump thing we may see a rally. It looks like the chinese crap is no longer able to crush the market anymore, so now they will try to pump instead of shorting. The Trump inauguration seems like a good psychological point to press for a bigger price. Make your bets. It may dip but I don't care, that's my prediction.
Some of Trump's latest policies are making people even more sure that he would crash the markets soon, and thus we see this increasing in BTC price(I mean yes, there are many other factors responsible for this but this is also one of it).

this is a good possibility but i think if it was certain then price would have been a lot more than this, and with a big rise meaning if this was the case and people were coming to bitcoin for sanctuary then price would have gone to $1500 already.
this rise seems more natural rise of bitcoin gaining price based on the same old supply and demand story.
