981  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Skills vs Luck *poll* on: February 12, 2017, 01:04:56 PM
I think we need both luck and skills.
why?
You know trading is the best way of earning big amount of bitcoin. But a newbie or anyone who don't know about trading can't become succeed on it.So, every trader needs to have proper skills too become successful. And as like gambling trading also depends on luck but not much.Skills are also very important, so we need both.

Even if they have both luck and skill doesn't mean they can't lose. They still can lose but the different between newbie and experience trader is consistency for achieving prefereed profit ! If they stop, they already accept the fate but if they keep continue trading , they can success as millionaire
Trading is regarded as a form of gambling which has risks of loses but a combination of both luck and skill will bring more success and profit when we get to be more experienced.

well that is just wrong.
only people around here consider trading to be a form of gambling and they are mostly newbies who are only seeing trading from outside and have no idea what is going inside of it.
i suggest next time you check out what trading really is, for example go read some articles about trading and watch some educational videos on trading and after spending some time reading and learning you will laugh at this statement that "trading is like gambling"
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: In which investing on: February 12, 2017, 12:52:30 PM
Head to Poloniex and sort the list in terms of Volume. There you can see those altcoin that has a significant changes in short period of time and try to make a self analyzation.

Taking those undervalued coin that is already in the scene of cryptocurrency for a long time is not a wise thing to do even you will buy it on cheap price. If people knows what alts will be rise in the future then we all know what to do in trading.

doing that only shows you the coins that have had big changes in the past 24 hours and it means it is already too late to get in any of those or at least it is going to be pretty hard to join in.

instead you should look for coins that have been slower but with higher volume and preferably those coins that have a good future or a good news on the way so that you can buy when price is stable and low then sell on the rise.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex just kicked off another bunch of dead coins on: February 12, 2017, 12:44:16 PM
Actually their policy is good, i'm for it. What do we have with Yobit and dead coins over there? Low volume, fake pumps, coins which are in maintenance mode forever. Bittrex has more proffesional aproach, this is why lasting so long as one of the best.
 Cool
Someone must clear up alts, i must say thank you Bittrex!

all the good exchanges are like this. most of them even check out the coins code, developers and so many other factors to make sure fist that they are not a scam coin. but in the end all of them are looking for money.

but yobit adds literary anything to their exchange and they love a coin that is dead because they can fake pump it to make money themselves.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Share your portfolio on: February 12, 2017, 12:37:53 PM
I want to know which are the best coins to buy. Share your crypto portfolio with me Smiley

i am always keeping most of my investment in bitcoin. from my total money that i have put into cryptocurrencies i have 70% to 90% of it in bitcoin and the rest goes into altcoins and comes out.
it is a different percentage because in times like this i exit altcoin market and go to bitcoin fully.

the altcoins that i have invested in are LTC, XMR, Dash, ETH, and sometimes ETC.
some others i am looking at are ICN, Gulden, XRP and Shift and many of the newer coins if they have potential for short term trading.
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whether bitcoin help you when you have financial problems? on: February 12, 2017, 12:30:35 PM
as far as my different investments go and based on my experience, bitcoin has certainly helped me a lot, since it was a great investment and also when i found out about bitcoin i also found out about the world of trading. i always knew about Forex market but i never dared trying it out but with bitcoin it became very easy to start with a small amount and then learn things without losing much money. and eventually become good enough to make some profit.
986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Charts: How an ETF Approval Could Impact Bitcoin's Price on: February 11, 2017, 12:56:07 PM
$300million added to the current value would be a small single digit increase. But the price will go much higher, more like 30% then there will be a huge correction. This is only assuming the ETF takes off of course.

$300Mn inflow into bitcoin won't result in a $300Mn increase in market cap/value. Smiley
When an ETF decides to buy $300Mn worth of bitcoins, due to lack of adequate market depth, the price could shoot up. This would result in the market cap going up by billions of dollars.

i seriously doubt the $300mil will be injected in one day and on exchanges into bitcoin! that is a stupid move and causes them to be forced to buy high priced bitcoin.
any wise person would inject it slowly and through different channels that doesn't even affect the flow of things on exchanges and price wouldn't feel it.

but rising because of the news and also because of the ETF itself in the long term is another story.
987  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: join pump group and lose your money on: February 11, 2017, 12:48:05 PM
like me Undecided

you've been warned Wink

I`ve never heard about a pump group. How does it work?
Is this some kind of HYIP,ponzi scheme?
Never make any financial decisions driven by greed.
I`m sorry that you lost such amounts.

pump groups are the oldest trick the trader scammers are pulling.
there actually used to be a topic created by a guy named ....pumper who used to sell information to others for 0.5BTC as sign up fee. and he was running his thing for a long time on the forum until the global admins found out about him and his hundreds of alt accounts and shut down all of his operations.

in the end it is all scam, and only the owner of the pump group is earning profit.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LISK price speculation on: February 11, 2017, 12:40:56 PM
I bought into this one at 45k with high hopes but nothing really came to fruition unfortunately . Ive not really been keeping track of it either so maybe there's some good news on the horizon or is it time to lock in the loss?

they always say there is good news for Lisk but all i can see is price dropping when i look at the long term change (zooming out of the price charts).

i have also bought some when price was much higher, i think it was around 60K but i was lucky and made some profit in total despite all the losses. i have been checking to see if there is anything good going on, and i hope we can see one too.
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum]UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform | Crowdsale March 2017 on: February 11, 2017, 12:33:07 PM
Just read the news from Forbes http://www.forbes.com/sites/rogeraitken/2017/02/06/qtum-mixing-bitcoin-ethereum-launching-proof-of-stake-smart-contracts-platform/#3a139b993564
Well, it proven how Qtum blockchain have awaited by many people who interested in this huge potential of hybrid system from bitcoin and ethereum) which has decentralized applications (dapps) that can be used to support various industries. Well, we're waiting for the crowdsale on March 1st, counting the days: 2 weeks and 4 days left.

thanks for the link here. it was an interesting read for sure.

i was actually very interested in this concept because i always think bitcoin has all the features that are good and we have all tested and want but also ethereum has introduces some pretty interesting systems that would be great if put to real good use.

i just hope this project gets the attention that it really deserves and we can see it on top of the charts as number one altcoin soon.
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is buying ICO always return the same amount of altcoin the investor invested? on: February 11, 2017, 12:26:22 PM
Does purchasing ICO very rewarding? Yes I know there are lots of ICO scams, but lets talk about the genuine ones.
For example if bought 100usd worth of ICO, will the value of ICO I bough remains 100usd or higher?
What if the altcoin ICO doesnt meet the target purchase amount they are expecting for. Will I get the same amount of ICO worth the money I invested?

well, if we assume there is a genuine one out there an you can find it to invest and think it can be profitable then yeah.
and about the price, it is an investment afterall. which means when you invest you are accepting both profit and loss. there is no guarantee for profit.
and this means if the price of that altcoin goes down you lose money the same way if price goes up you make money.
991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still use Bitcoin if price would be stable for years? on: February 11, 2017, 12:20:45 PM
No, it doesn't make any difference with fiat money. No interesting things if the price is stable, I wouldn't be trading bitcoin and buy bitcoin again. If stable prices is certainly not going to save a lot of bitcoin, because it can be affected by inflation and I'll choose save money in the bank than bitcoin.

Yes if it is in stable position many people will not use bitcoin because both are in equal stage fiat = bitcoin. Than what is the use of buying bitcoin and after converting them into fiat is useless just additional charges. Many people are attracting to bitcoin because of it's price variations, so in this way they will make profits through bitcoin.

Traders will surely not like the scenario if price of bitcoins gets stable as it will take away from them the opportunity to make regular profits but those who are earning bitcoins and want to invest their money for a long term will surely like the stable price as it will give them confidence that bitcoin will not disappear so easily or they will not loose their money by investing in bitcoins.

traders will surely dislike a very stable price but there is still lots of opportunities to make profit even in a market with a stable price. you can check so many other markets, and they are still being traded.

and besides don't forget that no price can stay stable for long. surely it won't be $50 change forever but it wouldn't be $0 change either. it will be a smaller change for example going up and down in $5 range.
992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why people do not get Bitcoin. on: February 11, 2017, 12:15:57 PM
it is hard to explain why people do not accept Bitcoin. but the first thing we need to talk to, it is the understanding of the people. they do not seem interested in Bitcoin, so they can not understand the benefits of it. And worse, they only read what is harmful from Bitcoin, which makes them feel hate Bitcoin. They see it as something illegal. All of us here, who are interested in Bitcoin, we see the benefits of it, which is why we're here

the problem is not with how we explain bitcoin, it is with how bitcoin is used. we keep talking about the benefits of using bitcoin and all the features that bitcoin has. but in the end what people see happening in the reality is the price and nothing else. and as far as price goes they always look at the short term price changes so they figure it is not a good thing because of the volatility.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: February 10, 2017, 09:53:35 AM
I invested actually in ETH, NEM, LTC,
i have been watching NEM but i couldn't find a good entry point that could ever be profitable for me.

i also am accumulating litecoin pretty hard for some time now waiting for as long as possible until the SegWit is completed and it goes to the moon a while after it.

and ethereum although has been good and i think it can still be profitable but i can't see how it can rise again for the time being.

Altcoins is really worth buying, due to in my experience and still I'm doing it now , sometimes I bought a coins even I know a kind of shit coins, but always swinging the price or pumping most of the time
so in other words you don't have much experience in trading. you just buy anything and bet on them to go up or not!
that is not a good way of trading my friend. you will end up losing a lot in total.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank faces 3 dilemmas when dealing with bitcoin on: February 10, 2017, 09:41:48 AM
1. I bought a lot of different goods with Bitcoin and I earn Bitcoin with services that I provide. So: Yes, Bitcoin is money to me.

2. and 3. They can control some of the world wide operating Exchanges, but they won't be able to do that here: https://bitsquare.io/

Bitsquare requires VPN to log on in China. And VPN provider need to comply with regulations as well in China by the end of 2017.

China just banned all unauthorized VPN providers https://thenextweb.com/asia/2017/01/24/china-cracks-domestic-vpn-usage/

there is always a way. they can never ban bitcoin the same way they can never ban VPN. look up all the new ways of tunneling some VPN providers off-shore are offering.
for example there is SSH tunneling which makes all the communication (traffic) look like same as visiting an https website. and unless they ban all the https websites (which will include half the internet such as banks,..) they can never block that kind of VPN and these VPN providers are off-shore, no log policy with bitcoin payment.
995  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the amount of BTC required for a professional trade? on: February 10, 2017, 09:33:00 AM
what do you mean by a professional trader because that definition can change everything.
you may consider someone who always makes a profit a professional trader or you may consider someone who is making a living with trading a professional trader.

for the first definition you obviously can have any amount of bitcoin as your balance and make profit on that an withdraw the profit taking small risks.

but for the second definition you certainly need a lot more. but in the end it depends on how much you need to earn as profit? 1 or 5BTC profit and what percentage you need to earn per month?
for example if you can make 30% profit each month and want to make 2BTC profit you will need 6.66BTC
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the next 1000%'er? Are the times of getting rich with an alt over? on: February 10, 2017, 09:21:21 AM
Does anybody think ZCash can get there?
Its price is pretty beaten down now. And we haven't had a real pump although its launch had a lot of hype.

if you read what OP is looking for you can see that he is clearly saying an altcoin with a huge pump with 1000% profit.
ZCash is 0.033BTC right now and it has been falling pretty hard with nothing to help it recover, now do you honestly think it can rise up 1000% and go to 0.36BTC? i seriously doubt it!

and remember it is always easier to pump a new coin and coins that have low prices than it is to pump a coin that is over the time of being new and has a higher price.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What Coins are Worth Mining? on: February 10, 2017, 09:15:08 AM
Ether, Bitcoin, Monero , maybe ZCash (but there are problems ongoing on markets)

How about mining in the outer rims? DGB, DOGE, the smallcaps that have lower network hash rates and higher growing potential on a comeback?

these older, more popular coins mostly have high hasrates and also high difficulty which makes mining them pretty hard and also their price is very low which them makes mining them even less profitable.

to OP:
check out this site: http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency
it has so many good information about mining all the cryptocurrencies. work with their calculator and read the details of each one of the coins and try to figure out which one is best depending on your costs.
998  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calm those tits guys, the China "issue" is not an issue.. on: February 10, 2017, 09:08:51 AM
this is not an issue, it is an opportunity.
whenever there is a dip like this, it can be a potential chance for buying cheaper bitcoins before it is back up again.
China is never going anywhere so as other 100 or so countries which have been buying bitcoin nonstop.
999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: February 10, 2017, 09:02:11 AM
That's a good question.  Due to the design of bitcoin, it is a bit difficult to "loan" them (remember that banking is effectively a loan where the bank pays you interest).

Now, that's more on the theoretical side of things.  In practice, a major problem with loans in Bitcoin are the volatile price.  If the price rises suddenly, it could become more difficult to pay back interest; or alternatively if the price takes a heavy drop, the investor may lose money as what he is paid is less valuable now than it was at initial investment.
why is it difficult? it is the same as lending money. when someone files for a loan, bank reviews their application takes a collateral and gives the loan and then takes it back on intervals.
and price is no matter, because they lend bitcoin and receive bitcoin. and this can only happen in the future when mass adoption happened and price is already high and stable.

it is like lending USD and then USD price going down versus another currency!! that has no effect on how lending goes.

Quote
Bitcoins are not fiat, and therefore, can not be continuously printed.  Because of this, no one can guarantee to indefinitely keep paying out interest on loaned coins.  A horribly exaggerated example, just to make a point, is that if I somehow had 20,000,000 bitcoins in a bank, they could never pay me more than 1,000,000 total in interest just because of the limited supply.
bad example. if someone has 20 mil coins it means bitcoin is dead since 1 person controls all the supply and nobody takes a loan Cheesy
1000  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: February 09, 2017, 09:12:04 AM
I want to generate a constant monthly gain. Is it possible to do this by bitcoin trading? So, can I just do this by dealing with BTC trading?
Are there any people among us who can make a living by trading in BTC?

it certainly is possible. but it is no easy and i would not suggest it to anyone ever.

trading is hard because of how it works, with the unpredictability factor of it and also with the fact that prices for bitcoin and altcoins move in ways that are sometimes not at all logical. and all of that makes trading that much harder.

also you should forget about the gains being "constant". for example if you plan on making 1BTC each month you won't be able to do it the same each month. one month you make 0.8 and the next 1.5 and the next maybe even lose some. because market is good in some weeks and terrible in some others.
