And so there is another competition at MetaWin,

https://x.com/Meta_Winners/status/1801201391857230103

Big news! Sportsbook is live, see: https://metawin.com/sports/

And I think this will create more hype on MetaWin now as we all know that sports betting is really big and them joining the picture is perfect for us who looks for some casinos to test and see our luck. Specially that Summer Olympics is coming which they also covered, so for sure there will be a lot of activities on the platform.
82  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't live above your affordability on: June 13, 2024, 11:05:32 PM
Without pretence, how'd you feel being a low class admist first classes where public are being attentive?
Honestly, to some oppressive times, I actually feel like to afford the first class expenses in that period of time just for impression but my fear always goes to HOW TOMORROW MAY BE because living in such competitive arenas is liable to disappoint a man as time approaches.
Money is indeed a key word of man's status quo but it's better to maintain a sustainability for a long term going than living the high classes in just a short term else, you'd become a mockery in reviewing of your past and recalling your present status quo.

I think you just have to be yourself. Don't think what others will see you, yeah, people most of the time are judgmental but take it as it is. Because if you are going to be affected by those around you, then you won't prosper as huma being. Just trust on yourself and mind your own business and for sure your status quo in life will improved.

Definitely, money is not the root of all evil, that is a wrong saying. You just have to know when and how you can make money, you don't need to love it, but everyone needed money in order to survived in this world and you really have to work hard for it.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: June 13, 2024, 12:42:59 PM
Even COVID didn't manage to effect  local gambling shops deeply. Now, in the post COVID era they are continue to flourish. I personally spend 80% of my gambling time in land based casinos, remaining 20% is allocated for online gambling. Physical casinos have plenty of pros for me, like the physical communications with my friends, who are also gamblers, the option to listen to jazz combo, the freedom to walk around various gambling pits, etc..
I agree with that and that's the fun of going directly to physical casinos. But nowadays I usually just stick at home. It feels like it's the right thing to do and besides, I can do house chores while I am at home and also doing work. Everything is there as long as you have the internet and I don't even spend gas money or the taxi fare just to go somewhere else. If computed for the long term, it will still be a lot of money. But, there are times I am thinking about spending some time in a physical casino too just because I miss it. Maybe one time I will do that and try to enjoy that one day leisure as much as possible.

I'm one of those who really frequented land based casinos pre-covid. But now, yes I do go out sometimes to play in land base and see the atmosphere and ambience. But I guess I adjusted myself because now, I do online games as I already enjoyed it because some of the games that I played is already present in online so why bothered to go outside?

Although me and my mates and our wives, will have that one session at least once a month to go out and just enjoy, have some free drinks listen to live entertainment and that's it. After that I'm going back to my regular playing online with slots and roulette and bacarrat.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny - Pacquiao VS Chihiro Suzuki Exhibition Match on: June 13, 2024, 11:07:17 AM
This isnt the first time Pacman is fighting an guy with perfect record and a master of his sports. What about previous exhibition fight against some martial arts youtuber? That guy also claimed that he is the quickest striker, master of 100 martial arts, can punch through any defence. Showed those Bruce Lee one-inch super punches. Got destroyed in a boxing fight. We dont have to go far - Mayweather vs Nasukawa (44-0 in kickboxing, 4-0 MMA, 99-5 in Muay Thai). Fight was under boxing rules and that uber undefeated machine lost in 2 minutes Cheesy

Pacman has the advantage knowing they gonna fight under the boxing rules. So Suzuki the MMA champ has disadvantage on this fight since we know how MMA fight happen and for sure that he will feel awkward that he can't do his techniques which he can use on MMA. Although Chihiro Suzuki is young but provably that Pacquaio's experience in boxing will show up on this.

Although we cannot downplay the MMA champion since he is also in prime then Pacquaio still need to be more careful on this exhibition fight knowing that he's old already and any lethal damages he get from his opponent can affect his overall health that's why he need to be attentive and finish the fight without getting any injuries. Many fans want him to retire and enjoy his life since there's nothing to prove anymore and I understand what they mean since aged people possible prone for injuries.

Never saw when a professional athlete in one sport, switch to other sport and beat professional athlete of it. If they were at least from same sports, then we could speculate on youth vs experience. Like Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight. But Pacman is 45 only. Not 65. Since this is exhibition fight, Pacman would let that kid to show something, probably fight would even go full distance to create some drama.  But come on, this guy is a fly. 65kg cant beat such pro as Pacman.

The only time we have seen a cross over fight and the MMA fighter almost win is when Ngannou faces Fury. But when Francis fought Anthony Joshua, it was all over, the pro boxer shows him not to messed with this sports even though you have the power to knockout everyone but this is very different.

So this could also apply in this fight, I do agree that Pacquiao is not that old and there are news that he wanted to still fight at the 147 lbs. But most likely he settled for a exhibition against the Japanese and it's going to be easy money for him and could win by knockout.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the best assset in investment return 8 years in last 11 years on: June 13, 2024, 10:38:53 AM
Yeah, it's pretty obvious that in 2017, when Bitcoin has the media attention, and reaches a new all time high of almost $20,000, it will be the best investment. And moving forward, we have proved our point and yet there are still investors who are not that smart to put their money on the market and just let it sleep without doing anything just by HODLing and for sure in the next following 8 years they can see their initial investments turning into x profit that no other assets can give like Gold o Oil.

So it doesn't make sense why there are a lot of skepticism by today, we have showed them already by looking at the past and yet they don't want to invest on it. But I guess, we can't really force anyone until it's too late for them and us taking the profits of what we have sacrifice in the last 10 years or so and becoming self made millionaire - and that is thanks to Bitcoin.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: June 12, 2024, 10:30:38 PM
^ I agree that the hype is dying down. I was coming here to post that with all the new rumored opponents and seemingly up in the air as to what exactly is happening this close to a major event is pretty bad news for Netflix getting into the fight game. I understand they couldn’t just call off the event due to the amount of money behind it, but this was supposed to be a big moment for Netflix with live sports and now it will only be a letdown.

I do agree, that's why Tyson released that video because it seems that the hype is going down. Just imagine if they've push with the original date and you can see them promoting the fight with that scary Mike Tyson video.

But now it's different, specially for those who have bought the tickets before and had mark their calendars to watch the fight live. But then again, it was rescheduled to a new date and you were disappointed and for sure there are fans that might not make it to the new date because of that and then just totally refunded the tickets.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is China going to shift from Gold to crypto as ICBC considers ETH a digital oil? on: June 12, 2024, 10:06:04 PM
Doesn't change a thing though, they still have a strong anti-Bitcoin, and even if they says ETH is digital oil, it only shows more of their hard line stance which for crypto enthusiast, really baffles on why they say than an altcoin is better than BTC?

And regarding Hongkong's ETF approval, it is not available to Mainland Chinese,

Quote
The upcoming launch of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETF) in Hong Kong will not open up the market for investors in mainland China, according to Bloomberg data analyst Jack Wang.

And if they will embrace crypto, it will all be altcoins for sure.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: June 12, 2024, 12:25:53 PM
So far I can't find any statement from Tank Davis why he was a no-show against Frank Martin here. And I don't think he should have any excuses whatsoever to miss it because as far I know, it's on their contract to be on there in every promotion. So not sure how it will be on his contract or what will be the consequences.

Now, everyone is questioning Tank's focus on this fight, is he really on this fight mentally?

How about ring rust? And if he is not 100% in this fight we might see an upset.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Errol Spence vs Sebastian Fundora - Oct on: June 12, 2024, 12:00:41 PM

I'm not sure though if Spence can score a knockout victory here, if he will ever win this fight, I think it will be a decision win for him and Fundora is very tough specially with how he showed in the Tim Tszyu fight.

Prior to him becoming a champion, if I'm not mistaken, he was in the top 5, and against Mendoza, he was leading in the judges scorecard, all 3 of them have Fundora by 4 or 5 points. Until Mendoza caught him with that huge punch that's why he was knockout. But if not for that, I think he could have won that fight.

But that one knockout loss by Fundora is a reference to all the fighters that want to beat him, I'm sure Spence watched and will continue to watch to spot Fundora's weakness and try to create a similar situation where he was knocked down.

The strategy that I can think of is Spence will try to get the match as close as possible so he can get his left hook he will go toe to toe here because as long as he is close to Fundora, Fundora has no advantage over him.

When you have that height advantage the body is an easy target if Spence worked on the body he would have a good opening in the face, Spence needs to win this fight and I'm sure he is so serious about his training because another defeat could be the end of his career.

Of course, everyone has a strategy fighting a taller guy like hitting their body. But I think Fundora has really adjusted very well and knows that will be the case for him and that knockout lost against Mendoza really open his eye on how to play defense while throwing at the same time.

And he being a champion, I think there is some bragging rights that in his mind, he is tough and that even Spence is not going to beat him in this fight. And that's why it will be another hard grinding fight for him like in the Tszyu fight and chances for Spence might be good if he can cover in the first part of the fight and then pour points in the second half for a win in the scorecard.
90  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest Crypto Mistake: Shorting Bitcoin on: June 12, 2024, 01:40:11 AM
Sure, you might snag a few wins, but in the long run, you WILL get rekt.

Bitcoin is an unstoppable train. If you don't believe in its power, don't hop on.

But here's the golden rule: Never bet against Bitcoin.

Isn't it obvious though? but there are those individuals who goes, what I mean is that they could have sold Bitcoin early and stay away specially if we hit the bear market. But on the other hand, there are smart investors who goes and accumulation on that cycle and then wait for the bull to sell and make profits.

And without those who sell, market might not be this liquid, so it's good to us that some of us will get REKT, learn their mistakes and then comeback with a different strategy. But then it will be cyclical, as there will be newbies in the market that don't know how to play the game.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Understand Math? on: June 12, 2024, 01:21:57 AM
Or in the other hand, you could beat the casino itself, like this family using Math playing roulette

It take them sometime to figure it out though as they need to have data to plot into their software.

For sure some of you might have seen this story.

Or even those card counters, it's Math isn't it? So there are pros/cons of understanding Math when we gamble. But I do believed that we shouldn't complicate things. If we understand it and we know that we are going to lose then why gamble in the first place?
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins do you own or have you collected until now? on: June 09, 2024, 07:02:59 AM
Yeah, those who have hundreds of even thousands of BTC are early adopters, but I believed a few of  them really stay in the market up to this point. Maybe when they have doubled their money, they sold it and never come back.

But that is the advantage of being early in the game, not just in Bitcoin but in any other technologies.

As for the question, not sure if everyone here will answer that, for sure we want to remain anonymous and will not tell how much or how big our wallet are.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: June 09, 2024, 06:06:26 AM
Postponing the fight until November means that this will be another wasted year in the career of Jake Paul. His only fights in 2024 will have been some stiff named Paul Bourland and Mike Tyson, who they dragged out of a retirement home. This is following up his 2023, where he beat up a washed up MMA fighter and an Uber driver. With such an impressive resume this might boost Jake from the top 120 in BoxRec’s cruiserweight rankings into the top 115. His accomplishments are truly pathetic, but some people will insist he is actually serious about trying to become a real contender.

That was his plan though, to become to a professional boxer or at least some governing bodies will recognized his accomplished and then rank him up so that there will be a opportunity for him and who knows, maybe he will step up the plate and fight contenders next.

As for just having 1 fight for this year, it might be good for him though. He will make a lot of money here already and so it might offset everything instead of getting 2 fights with just meager money, at least here just 1 shot and it might be 8 figures for him.
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: $120,000 Bitcoin is going to happened? on: June 09, 2024, 05:23:37 AM
I am new to BitcoinTalk BTC

My question is that I heard rumors about $120,000 Bitcoin
What is your opinion on this matter?
It’s highly possible that bitcoin will eventually land into $120k months from now. With the surprises that bitcoin is capable to, it could even surge high above $120k. However, our focus for now is to see bitcoin price touches $100k finally, because that will mark as a signal that bitcoin is heading into another new all time high, which could be $120k or $150k hopefully.

Yes, it's a big possibility to land at $120,000, but I don't think it can be done in the following months or at least this year. Maybe it will happen in 2025 and it's going to be a big bull run.

For now, let’s just focus on DCA and accumulate more while bitcoin price is not at its ultimate high price yet. While there is opportunity to buy, continue to buy and hold. Because when bitcoin price touches already $100k, that would be quite expensive already most particularly for beginner investors in the market.

And even if the prices hovers around $70,000, we can still do DCA and accumulate. It might our investments will go x2, but still that is a huge profit and I don't think that any assets in the world like stocks or gold that give that big profits in a year or two. We just have to be patience and have the mental toughness to just go week by week to save and accumulate BTC.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Errol Spence vs Sebastian Fundora - Oct on: June 09, 2024, 04:29:56 AM

Agreed on there is a risk, however, I reckon this is very low risk for Errol Spence. It is also headshaking that everyone is creating storylines of doubt about Spence. Who was the only boxer who has won against him in his whole career? This is Bud Crawford who is presently the pound for pound best boxer in the world and everyone is speculating that this fight vs. Fundora might be very risky? This is a tune up fight for the former other king of welterweight.

Whenever a fighter takes the kind of beating that Spence did, they are never quite the same. This is on top of being badly injured in a car accident and having serious eye problems. Also, he is only fighting once every 12+ months. This level of inactivity could be detrimental. Fundora might be a weak champion, but Spence is far from being in his best form. It is always a challenge for Fundora’s opponents figuring out how to deal with his height. Even if he is easy to hit, you will have a hard time avoiding his counters, which may include elbows as we saw against Tim Tszyu.

I very much agree on the argument on Errol Spence not being in similar form and confidence after the type of loss that he has experienced against Bud. However, my argument is Bud Crawford is presently no.1 pound for pound in the sport of boxing, the other king of welterweight and he very much can win against Usyk if he has the size of a heavyweight boxer. Who is this Fundora before Tim Tszyu?

Also, it has been speculated that Spence was dehydrated and weak for the fight vs. Crawford. He will not have this problem vs. Fundora because this fight will be in super welterweight. This might be a knockout victory for Errol Spence.

96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: June 07, 2024, 11:38:25 PM
Great poster, November is a realistic enough pushback in timescale that it might mean the fight actually does take place I guess.  Its a long time, I hope not because its parallel to just how ill Tyson is but I think they are just being cautious and other factors.

That's good news, true to his words, Jake Paul announced in June 7, and so there is no replacement fighter, but it will still be Iron Mike, we just have a new date of November so everything is good now. So hopefully, by now, Tyson is getting his body healed and be 100% ready in the fight because that's what they are aiming for here.

Maybe Jake Paul's beard will be large enough by November to just absorb any punch to his jaw and avoid the worst impacts of actual boxing taking place and having to handle that.

LOL, but he is gaining weight still, I'm not sure, but he could be close to 200 lbs or even more in this fight as this is a heavyweight fighter that he is facing. His beard will not help him if Tyson landed his power on that chin.
97  Economy / Economics / Re: From Manufacturing to Services and Its Local Impact on the Economy on: June 07, 2024, 11:17:12 PM
I have seen countries transition from goods based economies to service based economies. Examples of these countries are China, United States, Germany and some others. These are countries that were once reliant on manufacturing and industrial production but now shifting towards services in education, healthcare, finance, and technology. Have you noticed this type of shift in your own country? If you live in a country that has transitioned to a service-based economy has it had any positive effect such as innovation, growth, income distribution, employment rates, more than the goods based economy or not?

The countries that you have mentioned though are 1st world, and perhaps it was easy for them to make transition, in my opinion. And there are countries who might be trying this formula but failing and still rely on the only thing that can bring money to them, exporting their products.

So there is not positive effects on the country that I lived in, but obviously, we have seen countries that have transitioned really become one of the biggest, but there could be some drawbacks as well, like their population getting old, and the new generation can't adapt on the new economy and that's why they really need immigrant workers for their service-based economy transition.
98  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is getting addicted to gambling right or wrong? on: June 07, 2024, 10:50:46 PM
Gambling addiction is process in which an individual cannot control their urge in gambling even when they tend to lose. They are willing to sacrifice their most valuable assets with the hope of winning. A story was told of a young man in my community who used his only son for gambling because he was so addicted that he can't do without gambling in a day. he can do anything when it comes to gambling. I also know people who are wealthy today through gambling. So, is it wrong to be too addicted to gambling? how can it be control or how can one manage gambling?

I don't know where you get your numbers though about people becoming successful thru gambling. It's not a job obviously that you can earn in regular basis, everything is based on luck. Maybe there are lottery winners who kept their money and invest that's why they didn't become poor or what. But I think majority here who become addicted doesn't have that success story to cover.

So by that standards, I would say that gambling per se is wrong, that's why you hear the argument that you should only gamble what you can afford to lose. Or just play for fun and entertainment because once you get addicted, it's hard to get out.
99  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC staying above $67,000, will it reach all time high? on: June 07, 2024, 04:38:26 PM
Bitcoin's ATH to date is around $73k and the current price of bitcoin is only slightly below the ATH. meaning that at any time bitcoin can reach a higher ATH if there is a significant price spike. I myself am not sure if $73k is the ATH this year because I think after this there will be a significant price spike just like the price spike in the previous halving.

$71,000 today and still climbing, and we are slightly going after a new all time high for this month. I will admit though that I never saw that this month will be a good for us. Anyhow, good to see it, maybe we will achieved $75,000 as this is the obvious target for now.

Yes, there were even a thread saying that $84,000 is the peak of the bull run which the majority of us didn't agree because it's too early to say and there a big speculations that 6 digits will be the highest at this bull cycle and we can achieved it next year.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 07, 2024, 01:58:43 PM
^^ That will be one of the most anticipated fight if ever, Tank Davis vs Naoya Inoue at 135 lbs. But the key take away here are:

>> Inoue is moving up, although it's been reported that he is walking about 137 lbs, we don't know if he can bring that power
>> He was knock down by Nery in their last fight, means that someone that has big power like a natural Light weight in Davis could knock him out for good
That's a risky move for Inoue if he'll do that but a brave move. For a boxer that is being ranked at number 1 in the p2p, he should impressed the fans by pushing his limit, and I think he'll be a good match with Tank Davis as Inoue had proven it already that he could carry his power and speed.

So for me, it will be Tank Davis that will be the favorite and I'm seeing him winning by either decision of by a huge knockout.
This might be the first time where Inoue will be the underdog, and I'll take that all day.

That really put Inoue at the top of the pound for pound list if ever he will fight and beat Tank Davis. So the ball is now on the Davis part, if he is willing to take that risk because there were interview of his saying that Inoue is too small for him. But perhaps that was the time when Inoue is at 118 lbs, so maybe in the future, he will consider fighting at his comfortable weight of 135 lbs.

Yes, it could be that Inoue will be the underdog and I like the question on whether he can bring his power to this weight class. I think he still has a good chin because of the added weight, it's just whether is power will still be there or not.
