81  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] AM100, a New Micro-share ASICMINER Passthrough! on: February 19, 2014, 11:39:17 PM

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

On March 1, 2014, TAT Investments will transfer control of the AM100 listing at HavelockInvestments.com to the direct control of Havelock Investments.

None of the fund terms are changing other than to replace TAT Investments.

All underlying assets that represent these passthrough shares will also be transferred to Havelock. The direct shares will be held at 1J5fvfUrDcZj8rrpVHMgn8u7sXee84QkPd.

This also means that ThickAsThieves will no longer hold a board seat with ASICMINER, and a representative from Havelock will instead.

NEOBEE is not changing operators.

Thanks for the photos Danny. The branch looks real nice. It also kind of looks like a futuristic squash court, lol.

85  Economy / Securities / Re: AsicMiner won't give me my shares, now what? on: February 18, 2014, 03:10:14 PM
AsicMiner/friedcat is only dealing with direct shares, and he will not transfer your shares to Havelock.

Then who has been transferring shares to me all this time!?!

OP, my guess is only Bitfunder can help you to verify what you owned, what address was associated with it, and confirm as much to Friedcat, if there is indeed a problem.

Once BF confirms what you help and the wallet address attached to it, you could sign a message to prove ownership.

We've only had one person claim to be on the list of stranded G.ASIC holders that wasn't actually on the list, so I assume you're the same guy.

If you believe you should be on the list, only Bitfunder can resolve that part.

So is there any truth to the above post or has that been discredited? There is not much discussion in that thread.

I can see you're new here Smiley

It's a company mandate here to not entertain or engage that original poster, kind of like how the United States government doesn't negotiate with terrorists.

This is a cop out. Consider she makes some sane arguments, and that her crew was coming from a place of interest.

People usually ignore mpoe-pr because they are scared, not because she's wrong. At least that's the signal I get after a year of watching.
87  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: February 17, 2014, 05:50:08 PM
I asked about this earlier; i believe that everyone gets one (like spiderman says), free, from LMB to Havelock, and only for the amount of the initial purchase on LMB. Can anyone confirm this?

That is exactly what I want to do, however there seem to be contradictory statements.

Currently on LMB Holdings it states:

Transfer to Havelock

Havelock Transfers are disabled for now, we will be providing a way of doing this soon.

Please come again later.

Which is why I'm asking if that is possible yet.

The content on the LMB website seems to have reverted to an older backup or something.

Those pages were changed a while back to say to email any requests because the FORM was not working yet.

I'll look into it.

Correct, shares purchased on LMB can be exported once for free.

Do we know if there's a way to transfer direct shares TO Havelock yet? I know there was a method discussed for transferring from Havelock to LMB Holdings, but I want to go the other way.

Any updates on that?
tat.investments@gmail.com

I thought that was only for going from Havelock to LMB?

You can transfer shares in either direction, for the posted fee (currently 0.2btc), by emailing and following given instructions. This has always been the case.

TAT, are you still working for NEO ? You have a grand opening in 7days and you're fucking around like a kid with senseless altcoin ? Disappointing ...

I do not work for Neo in any context other than as steward to the NEOBEE profit-shares.

What do you do exactly, other than troll like there's no tomorrow?

Sorry to hear that my posts are "trolling" for you TAT. I just used to get some quality contributions/posts from you in the past. And in last ~2weeks my alerts are constantly notifying me about you writing about this scamcoin. Like really??? I think i need to un-follow you and leave you alone. I just don't get it how can anyone support some scamcoin, if we should be supporters of finite 21 000 000 supply as is written in the Bitcoin protocol. Altcoins are like printing press from FED for Bitcoin.

Your logic is deeply flawed, and your perspective obtusely narrow.

I don't control the coin, I don't mine it, and I have no master plan for it. It is whatever it becomes.

You'd do yourself some good to take the altcoin market and its dynamics seriously, for the only thing separating Bitcoin and most of them is popularity.

Expand your mind, friend.

Maxcoin, now THAT's a scam. Dogecoin, also a scam, wrapped in an icky ball of insecurity, greed, and delusion.

Still waiting for my BTC withdrawal.

Also, why doesn't it ask for a withdrawal address?

While I'm not clear on how to access the API, OpenEx.pw implies their is one.   Undecided
99  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Havelock Investments - Exchange feedback/comments on: February 15, 2014, 01:33:39 PM

Here at Havelock we take security issues very seriously.

We have never had any issues with users that enabled 2FA on their account. We have contacted the person that has made the claim that is account has been compromised and are looking to resolve the matter has soon as possible.

Trying to balance ease of use and security is never easy, especially in the Bitcoin realm. We can always add additional security features but those will always slow down the user experience.

So we turn to you, our valued customers, what features would like us to add to our platform?

1. Confirmation email before any action is taken; some but not all actions.

2. Pending withdrawal of your Bitcoins; time lock?

3. Lock account by IP address?

We always value your opinions and we strive to serve the Bitcoin community to the best of our ability.

Also we can assure everyone that it was not an "inside rogue employee"

Thank you,

Support Team
Havelock Investments

This is the Asciminer thread so we should probably move this discussion over to havelock exchange, although if you remember Havelock suggestions have been made in the past, had these been implemented this sort of thing could not so easily happen
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=135035.msg3661143#msg3661143

withdrawals should be locked to a specific BTC address and multisig should be signed for share transfer. This would at least stop funds leaving the accounts. YOU WERE WARNED.

I second the idea of having a fixed withdrawal-adress! Maybe have a two week time-lock and an email notification if you want to change the adress afterall.

This would impact the ease of use in a minimal way, while dramaticly enhancing the security.

Also, if the fixed withdrawal address is not mandatory, we need to also have an external wallet address that users set for proof of ownership, like Bitfunder had, just in case something happens to Havelock.
