Questions:

I am trying to deal with a bitfunder account for the estate of my son.  I have access to his bitfunder account.  He as a small (but not insignificant) number of bitcoins invested in G.ASICMINER-PT on bitfunder.  (And, some in JAH and some in ActiveMining.  The rest are insignificant.)

The whole process on getting them out seems kind of murky to me.  To do anything with shares Google 2-factor needs to be enabled.  I try, and it doesn't work.  Dividend funds move to weexchange OK, but withdrawing from there leaves the bitcoin transfer is stuck in limbo.  Requests for help go unanswered.

Any assistance would be welcome.

If you know how to sign a message using the bitcoin wallet assigned to his Bitfunder account, then you'll be able to verify ownership later on, once the asset is frozen and converted to AM100 shares on HavelockInvestments.com

However, if you can get that 2-factor working, it will be much easier and quicker for me to help, as I need to be able to control the shares to do anything with them for you.

You might get some additional assistance by joining the #bitfunder channel using IRC, on Freenode.

How to Convert G.ASICMINER Shares to Direct Shares with Friedcat: (Fee-based Service, 5 microshares per whole-share)
what exactly am I paying for here? I thought that was the default option anyway.

It's an optional service to convert your shares now, rather than whenever the issuer passes them to Friedcat as direct.

Be it for peace of mind, or any other thing you might want to do with your shares once they are out, we're just offering options.

OFFER EXTENDED, BETTER INSTRUCTIONS ADDED

G.ASICMINER & AM100 (TAT.ASICMINER) Conversion Offers
(Limited Time Only, Ends Nov. 22, 2013)
With Bitfunder blocking US citizens, requiring ID verification, and not allowing exports unless you have 250 shares, we know some of you feel stuck and are looking for options. Below are two new, temporary services we are offering.

We have decided to offer a limited-time service to convert your G.ASICMINER shares into AM100 (Havelock), AM1 (Havelock), or Direct Shares. These are fee-based services that require 5 microshares in fees per whole-share (or you can use whole shares to cover the fees for larger conversions).

There is no fee to convert G.ASICMINER to AM100 (fractional shares), but please note that AM100 shares carry a 5% management fee on dividends.

Additionally, we will be offering AM100 or TAT.ASICMINER shareholders a temporary service to convert their shares into AM1 or Direct Shares for the same fees.

Example #1: You have 10 G.ASICMINER shares, but you want to convert them to AM100 fractional shares. Pay no fees, simply push your G.ASICMINER shares to TATInvestments and email us according to the "G.ASIC > AM100" instructions below.

Example #2: You have 10 G.ASICMINER shares, but you want to convert them to direct shares. Push the 10 G.ASICMINER shares plus 50 TAT.ASICMINER shares (or AM100) to TATInvestments, and follow the "G,ASIC > Direct" instructions below.

Example #3: You have 1000 AM100 shares, but you want to convert them to AM1 shares. Transfer 1050 AM100 shares back to the issuer, and email us according to the "AM100 > Direct" directions below.

The following limitations apply:
1. You must initiate each conversion request before November 22, 2013.
2. Due to many requests, your migration might take anywhere from 1-9 days to process.
3. Beginning Nov. 22nd, these temporary services will be discontinued.
4. We can make no guarantees that Bitfunder or Havelock will not impose additional limitations on trading in the future.

XBOND No-Penalty Buyback Offer
-------------------------
Until November 22, 2013, TAT Investments is offering to buy back up to a total of 500btc worth of XBOND units at exact face value (0.001 btc each).

This is a chance for anyone that wants to redeem for bitcoins, but doesn't want to pay the 5% fee.

If you are interested in redeeming for bitcoins, simply transfer the XBOND units back to the issuer (using the "Xfr" link in your Havelock portfolio). Then send an email to tat.investments@gmail.com from your registered Havelock email address, noting the quantity you are redeeming and the wallet address for the redemeption payment.

Is TATI going to do any forced buyback of XBOND?
Possibly, we are trying this to see if any mutually beneficial redemptions can be made. If not, as always, TATI reserves the right to to do a partial proportional recall from all holders, or a full recall, at any time.
245  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: November 12, 2013, 04:05:58 PM
How are dividends split if all the shares aren't sold?

I presume unsold shares are not included in the dividend calculation but it would be good to know for sure. Of course, they may all have sold by that point but it may depend somewhat on the BTC exchange rate.

I guess: Unsold shares would just be part of the company. So their dividend would just be paid out to Neo & Bee.

I understand "the company" would include us (shareholders) too. So if for instance out of the 60% equity which was put for sale on the IPVO, only half gets sold, the other 30% equity should be distributed between all shareholders (public and private). In that particular case Danny+other private shareholders would have 40%+30%*(40/70)=57,14% and public (IPVO) shareholders would get 30%+30%*(30/70)=42.86%

At least this is how I see it, correct me if I'm wrong

You are wrong, the intent is not for there to be a concentration of unsold shares.

I should let Danny comment on any specifics on how the dividends are handled for unsold shares.
246  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: November 12, 2013, 03:11:12 PM
The unsold shares will remain for sale, this was made clear at the start.

Oh ... so you just want to prolong IPVO period to infinity, even if NEOBEE doesn't need another capital. So what was the purpose of the date 30th November from the start ?

The 30th was the deadline to raise the minimum amount to proceed with the plan, and not refund it all. To my knowledge, Neo & Bee can still make use of additional funds to grow the company and its services.
247  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: November 12, 2013, 01:49:17 PM
The unsold shares of the IPVO are Danny's, the only thing he must do is remove the huge sell order of the unsold shares.

The unsold shares cant be in Danny ownership after the IPVO. Unless he'll pay 0.003 BTC per each share from personal pocket to NEOBEE ... otherwise you are creating shares out of thin air without backing of BTC ... think about it, unsold shares after IPVO phase are no existing, they must be destroyed on exchanges. Period.

Also little speculation here, its surprising that TAT himself is not buying shares under the IPVO price

Quote
Investor Protection Plan
The initial 9,600,000 LMB Holdings shares have the privilege of getting all profits until a total of 0.0035 bitcoins per share has been paid.

He has a shitload of BTC income from AM Board Member position. So why he isn't investing in company where he is a founder ? If there's guarantee on 0.0035 dividends per share, its like getting free BTCs. Is he believing in NEOBEE success in future? If not he, who should?

On the other hand, good job so far Danny and TAT, good luck on conference ! I know my questions are sometimes not very comfortable, sorry about that.

The unsold shares will remain for sale, this was made clear at the start.

Your speculation about AM board income, and why TATI should buy up all the NEOBEE shares is not logical or informed.
(TATI does disclaim that it may hold and trade NEOBEE units at will.)

Danny is getting news out to everyone as soon as he can.

hey guys whats wrong with your API? ive been polling it so that I can track asset movements.

I use an adaptive algorithm that polls the ticker data no less than once every ten seconds.
for inactive stocks it can poll as slowly as once every 10 minutes.

anyways as far as I can remember there were no polling frequency limits when I last read the API doco  (most sites like Gox have a limit of 10 seconds)

my IP address has now been banned by havelock... so I cant check the API documentation, cant report tickers, cant trade stocks..

if I had an S$$$ tonne of money tied up on your exchange I would be majory pissed by now..

no warnings, no details on polling limits, no info on the ban page..

what gives?

Cheers...

I know that someone was bombarding HL with API requests a few days ago. Maybe you had a glitch and polled too hard?

I have some experience with printing and dealing with printing shops. Put me down for BTC12.5.

@say592 Given the recent rise in bitcoin price, does this 12.5BTC bid still stand?

@OP
Does the auction also include the ebay store/account?

Are you open to the possibility of bids for business without the "$800 of merchandise"?

I gave it a lot of thought this weekend, and I dont feel all that comfortable with 12.5 BTC with the recent increase in value. Consider my bid retracted.

Ignored. Don't make promises you can't keep.

Amazing.

Amazing that it got listed at all. Amazing that Cryptostocks didn't know. Amazing that anyone would use the exchange at all...

I say this not as competition, but because it would be nice if there to be more places to do business.

Also note that shareholder lists for both Havelock and the direct management system are backed up by TATI and the respective providers, meaning that your registered ownership is always stored by multiple parties, regardless of the host.

TAT, regards the shareholder list from Havelock, what is in that file in column "share owner"? e-mail address?

E-mail & count are tracked. We are working with Havelock to add a "failsafe" wallet address feature as well (like BTCT had).

Bit of an aside, but Havelock is severely lacking in security features to protect trades and withdrawals. In general, it's just lacking features in fact.

In general, they are a very motivated group. If you have feature requests, share them with Havelock directly.

I have shares on BF and am unsure about what to do with them.

Could any kind soul briefly run through the pros and cons of transferring to Havelock or keeping on BF?

Thankyou.

Basically by keeping them on BF (and making them go to the direct exchange platform) will make you unable, at least while this platform is not fully developed, to trade them. You will own shares, you can "look" at them, but you can not directly trade them - if you want to sell them, you will either need a escrow or trust the buyer/seller (or make him trust you). Remember that this is temporary, but we do not know how long it will take. By transfering them to Havelock your risks are that Havelock also closes its services in the future, which according to them seems to be unlikely since they are "following the rules" and that the stock price in Havelock becomes substantially different from the stock price in the direct exchange once its on.

Please note that the direct-share management system will probably never have the ability to sell shares directly. It's not meant to be an exchange service (that's what exchanges are for). Your post implies it is inevitable, but, to my knowledge, that is not the case.

Also note that shareholder lists for both Havelock and the direct management system are backed up by TATI and the respective providers, meaning that your registered ownership is always stored by multiple parties, regardless of the host.

I'm not sure what your point was about the price, but right now the only price indicators are Havelock and OTC auctions, and there is not enough data from OTC auctions to say whether the Havelock price is substantially different than any other price.

why no daily dividend on yesterday 9 october and today (10 october) ?

There appears to be some technical error in Havelock's dividend system. They will likely address it tomorrow.

A public ledger of shareholders does not protect direct private trades. Only escrow can do that.

Exchanges are, essentially, automated escrow systems, and that is why people bother with them.
first of all, a public ledger shows ownership.  I shouldn't have to explain why transparency is a good thing in BTC securities.  It should be the bare minimum of a direct shares system.

Secondly, it insures that YOU, the manager, are managing the shares properly.  Being the escrow AND the issuer/manager is a conflict of interest, and certainly does not add trust to a transaction.  so no, a biased escrow does not protect private trades.

Guys, this isn't hard, and I'm surprised you are even arguing against more transparency and public accountability.

It only shows ownership in the moment, OTC traders could be readily scammed if they simply trust a ledger. The seller can simply collect your money, then move the shares to Havelock and sell them again. Escrow is the only solution for OTC trades. Some would consider trading on an exchange to be the safest way to trade.

I have no issue with a public ledger, as long as the holders are aware their wallet address and share count will be public, and aware that the ledger does not guarantee ownership for anything other than that moment.

You don't have to use TATI for escrow. Whether you trust TATI for the service is your own decision. We just recommend all trades are done as safely as possible. There is no conflict of interest in facilitating a private transfer of units. All fee-based services are optional.
