Was out for a while, how's the project going? Smiley

Progress, new gui wallet out soon. Working on another interesting function. Wont say more until we are sure that its working.

Regards

When can expect some more info about "interesting functions" and what about website

When the development stage is in beta. Makes no sense to announce stuff before they are semi-done. We are not here to hype anything if that is what you are hoping for.

Regards

I'm not hoping for hype. You said that we'll have some interesting function. I only asked when?

We all know how this forum is, i respect the dev team trying to release information about what is semi done to give a more solid statement when is announce.

Yes exactly there is no point in committing to a date because thanks to the nature of this forum it will only lead to negative consequences.

The website is on track and I will not commit  to a date. However, I am looking for members to test the site before its goes live so that I can get some feedback. If anyone is interested in that please pm.

For the sake of the network and decentralisation, I would be more than happy to help with graphic design and html/css of any new pool created specifically for Shift (Free of charge)

What happened to the premine?

The genesis block created 250k SHF here:  https://shift.etherchain.org/block/0

If you click on the address, there is only 36K SHF left in the address  Huh

There must be a logical explanation...

These are the accounts that holds bounty funds. 26500 has been spent so far during these hectic weeks. Paying everyone and everything.

Have a good day.

You mean like we did a few pages back? Its split into 6 addresses for safekeeping reasons. Oh and lets be honest here, its not exactly hard to copy and paste six addressees into block explorer.

Grats on the nice looking blockexplorer guys! The etherchain guys have a nice product and do good work. Smiley

Yes they are quite good. Again, I would like to personally thank etherchain guys for their great work.

You have a great blog by the way, the tumblr guys really do have a great platform.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] First ETH fork | GUI wallet | No ICO/IPO | UPDATE v0.3.0 on: September 17, 2015, 04:15:20 PM
Special announcement:

We have a new (complete) block explorer!

You can find it at:

https://shift.etherchain.org/

what are the addresses to which sent the premine?

As far as I know the premine is currently held by 4 people.

Joey (core dev), Almindor (GUI Wallet), Teka (PR & Community) and me (Design & Community).

I do not exactly know where or how much each of the others has so before I say any wrong numbers I only speak for myself.

I have been sent 50k coins, the account is 0x434459a0b859d812a5127bd61e51fc71c98b3825. From there I have paid out 2200 SHF for the first Block Explorer by AltSheets (which sadly didn't last long) and 1 SHF as a "test transaction" to his account. Also I have paid 2000 SHF to myself for running costs. Those were sent to Bittrex but have not been sold.

I'm sure the others can fill in their details too.

As we stated we will be looking for a reputable escrow or DAPP solution to lock a certain amount. However this is not my decision to make.

thanks!
We will wait for others

I started of by holding 30,000 (plus 27 which were mine, sent them to the wrong address by accident) at the following adress https://shift.etherchain.org/account/0xed9533a376d369badda4546f6834cd3f557a7563 .

4500 went to eitherchain for the block explorer
1800 were 7 hours of work consisting of web development.

Well I have officially started working on my first  assignment for the SHIFT Team. I have also been trusted with the small part of the premine.

Everyone don't forget to send a coin request on Poloniex: https://poloniex.com/coinRequest  Grin

I believe poloniex requires a block explorer.

BLOCKEXPLORER IS A MOTHER OF COINS - THAT SHOULD BE DONE ASAP!
Without it, no one takes coin seriously.

The SHIFT block explorer sucks compared to etherchain.org or etherscan.io. Is this better constructive criticism? Clearly a 15 yr old could never make a website as good at etherscan.io. You have to be a moron to think otherwise.

He is making it for free and open source so of course I give him a lot of credit and more importantly a lot of respect. Without it we would have nothing!

I see your point and totally agree (hence why Im getting involved) but still disagree on the age aspect.

Hi,

the new explorer went live yesterday to replace the old one.

It's pretty sad that we are relying on a 15 yr old kid to build the block explorer.

I honestly don't know what age has to do with anything. Next time please make your criticism constructive.

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that I've had a chat with one of the devs and my first impression is that they do seem quite legitimate and are extremely passionate about shift. To add to that they also seem like they know what they are doing and clearly are experience coders.

Based on all of this, i have decided to join the team on a trial basis. In case you don't know who I am, I used to part of blackcoin, aidencoin, xc and then eventually blocknet so I have worked for a few cryptos before. If you have any questions then please PM me directly and I will be happy to answer them.

Thanks,

Daniel

To shift team: I've been on your side, this only the start of the trolls you're getting it pretty easy at the moment.

I don't want to update but my laptop with win 8 is constantly trying to download windows 10.
Microsoft now forces people to use their new system which is ridiculous and a bit scary. I can't turn off the updates in win 8 as it locked out somehow once it detected win 10 update is available. I'll probably have to uninstall win 8 and go back to 7 as it for now allows me to skip updates.
Yes. I have Windows 8.1 on my laptop and it constantly tried downloading Windows 10 after I downgraded. I somehow managed to it off. However, I'm not aware of any controversial stuff being pushed to Windows 7. My main system has it with updates turned on (only notifications). Everything is fine for now.
I'd recommend everyone to downgrade if they upgraded to Windows 10.

Problem is that the privacy issues are now being ported to Windows 7 and 8.

Yeah its becoming more and more of a problem, they aren't being very honest about what they are doing which I think is the worst part.
