Sorry TEKA, i have moderated several forums, irc servers and at the moment i run a moderated Game-server, i know a thing or two. I have never seen a moderater going in discussion with someone who attacks the moderater personal, DDOS the forum, and letting the message alone. If you can't moderate it here, you cant moderate it at xctalk The reason why I'm replying to his messages is to show that we won't be threatened by DDOS attacks it's a simple as that. I do however see your point but I think with crypto it's slightly different. You shouldnt respond, its a way to take control over you, remove it, without any respons. If they attack people personal. Remove it. If they threatening to put the message in unmoderated, help them move it yourself. Show some balls off steel, and start moderating! Thank you for letting all the users know who was responsible for the DDOS. Some people wanted proof well here it is. The DDOS was a minor inconvenience and fixed pretty quickly. Also is was more of DOS since just one IP was used. It has also been reported to the ISP and if needed to law enforcement.
When it comes to policymaker, his points are factual although sometimes worded wrong.

coin reached 0,0043 before the big DKR FUD day, and the anon wasnt even ready, now there is actually an anon wallet that you can test(theres even a bounty on cracking it right now), we are expecting rev2 release and ecrypted messages at some point, so DKR' price for midterm goal would be pretty reasonable I believe.

The wallet released today will not include EMs. As always we want to make experience as best as possible and sometimes that requires a lot of tests to make sure everything is secure etc so therefore EMs won't be included in this release.

The scam is EXECUTED this way so these scammers can get max btc price from people leaving over the following weeks.

It's similar to laptops you have apple and hp for example they both make a product that does the same thing but it's always good to benchmark and give the pros/cons of both.
Technical discussion on the edge are not a problem, i would like to see them here(personally i''m not technical enough to jump in YET) Compare "products"against eachother is also not a problem. The personal attacks are way over the top. What the hell have a screenshot off Chaeplin's information to do with XC in anyway? it doesnt proof anything att all. Yes, I agree they should be kept strictly confidential. |

well it looks like they cant crack down v1.5 that dev provided so they have to resort to other measures. I guess XC forum much more targetable than the BTC talk itself
xctalk.com is not down only forum.xctalk.com so it is not ddos attack or related. i recommended the forums admin should auto backup mysql data every few hours. i also recommended backup the forums directory in case some file got messed up. zip directory command; tar -cvf sitename.tar ./ unzip directory command; tar -xvf sitename.tar i'm owner and creator of hostingpost.com and a few other large forum sites. xctalk.com has a different ip. The last backup was on the 12th (sorry that's my fault since I thought it would do.) so data from that will be used. From now they will be backed up each night. |

No a plugin broke the forum and I had to restore it during that process apache was turned. It works for me now.
It doesn't work for me. It's a ddos, i'm not 99% sure... but 100%. You don't realize how your community destroy XC. Moderate your thread. Cordially. As I said traffic data says otherwise. The forum is moderated and I'm thinking about moderating this thread again since people want it. edit: So it looks like you are right about the ddos part. forum is down for me too Yeah I've shut the server down for now. |
