Are the contributing coins the only ones that will be involved or could other developers join at a later stage?

Also, on a side note, what happened to QBK?

Other coins can apply to join later, The Blocknet Foundation will be responsible for deciding whether they are 'worthy' enough to join.

This sounds interesting! Shocked

*Rolls eyes*

This is the SuperNET re-invented.  Why do you guys re-invent everything?  Being #2 is not going to pay off ...

Really say that Apple, they launched the ipad, the iphone, itunes... do you want me to keep going?

Also wait for the rest before you saying things like that.

Now this looks promising, good chance for other coins coming into the fold here too!

Yeah... a very good chance..

Was that the news?

News release coming...
Please do it soon, I need to go to bed soon and I still want to see it.

Fairly soon, around the time a famous UK show finishes.

haha! what kinda tease is that Teka! I've got the TV guide out now, but still have no idea what time. lol

edit: Im guessing between 11 - 11.30PM.

It's family guy obvs. Or embarrassing bodies.

By the way, "blocknet" what a fantastic f***ing name that is - it sells itself.

Thanks, Arlyn came up with a list and we all agreed it had to be blocknet.

Basically he talks about ecosystem - blockchain. It will allow coins share some functions to another coin that doesn't have that function. Did i get this right?

Yup.  They described a "concept" and "idea"...exact words.  Nothing was delivered.  Some of the features they discussed have actually been deployed by other coins.  We also got some new buzz words and graphics and more discussion about the importance of collaboration.  Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I would just like to mention that this show was more a pre-announcment rather than actual announcment. Please wait for all the facts and the PR release before you start making any opinions especially negative ones.

Doesn't work for me. What are they saying?

interview with nhz, asset exchange with xc, shadowcoin, nhz and more.
Crowdfunding via Asset exchange. decentralization fromexchanges and so on - Blocknet
connection from Pizpie is really bad  Roll Eyes

He's on Skype....

yeah i thought so.. but nevertheless Wink

Nevertheless, you get a tiny part of the massive idea. You will just have to let you imagination go wild for now.

We need an XC decentralised kickstarter app, (kinda like lighthouse)  Grin

I'd say first a decentralized exchange, then file storage, then the kickstarter app.

I agree:

funny moolah isn't dead and someone gives them money. it seems there are a lot of braindead people out there with pockets full of money

http://blog.moolah.io/2014/10/15/the-reports-of-my-death-have-been-greatly-exaggerated/

I seriously hope noone uses any of their services.

Anyone of you having Coins on MintPal

please report here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=824211.0

Thanks dude I will post there.

I already consider my money there is gone. Probally 4 ish btc. Fuck them

Sorry to hear that, I lost no funds but I was still annoyed about their approach especially this:

Quote from: Alex
thanks for all the fish

where did he post this?

and according to this coindesk articel http://www.coindesk.com/moolah-mintpal-closure-bankruptcy/

Quote from: Plamer
“What saddens me the most is that Moolah took their funding from random Internet-goers as
opposed to rich venture capitalists who can afford to take the risk and financial hit. These ‘investors’
are now in a position where they’ll never see their money again, and have minimal legal recourse.”

I don't get why people invest in companies like this, but i have to admit i don't
get why people invest in kickstarter campains as the people behind
minecraft and oculus rift for example got funded and sold the companies
for some billions afterwards and people that invested get nothing.

The blog has been edited since then but it was originally there yesterday. My twitter about it: https://twitter.com/DrasticRaven/status/522151859608625152 .

Also in kickstarter you aren't investing, you are simply buying a product and that's it. Oh and minecraft never went on Kickstarter.

Well you're not wrong, below is the first tweet about the 'management' of mintpal.

https://twitter.com/moolah_io/status/497105451381960705

key word: acquisition

Suggest everyone move their funds off Mintpal, if you have not done so already.

Moolah is filing for bankruptcy:  http://blog.moolah.io/2014/10/14/moolah-is-having-to-close-its-doors/

Too late.... mintpal is down

Code:
www.mintpal.com - Connection failed
Error code 8
The proxy failed to connect to the web server, due to TCP connection rejection (TCP Reset).

Their blog says everyone has until October 31st to withdraw.  It is likely down for maintenance reasons?

This is form their statement:

MintPal will be coming down immediately – in light of critical errors being disclosed.
The new management team will be making a number of stability changes, UI improvements
and bug fixes. They will also be handling the resolution of issues surrounding missing balances.
An update will be following on mintpal.com shortly, with details of further timeframes.

I bet the site won't be online until the 31th of October Wink

unbelievable how they managed to kill mintpal in just a few weeks

Yup that's my prediction too.
