for me version cabin work more faster than version mumus
You mean v0.33 alpha?  What matters more than # of shares though is their quality.

806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]Curecoin beta pool test - user limit lifted - Lets hit the Mile Stone 1200R on: July 29, 2013, 05:40:23 AM
Curecoin team is exceeding all expectations of folding power for this test phase.

We are moving towards Rank #1 almost as quick as the 1200R milestone.

There will be at least 2 more stages before the official curecoin is launched. This is to not only perfect the coin but create a stable relationship between Team Curecoin's access to Stanford servers info, along with some extra cheat proof monitoring that Stanford is ready to do. ( I asked stanford to monitor the curecoin users closely for cheating, and they are preparing to do so as you read )

Many thanks to all the contributors.

The time that has gone into the design of the backbone of curecoin is many times that the time that was taken to create many alt coins. The amount of options that have been reviewed is very extensive. The only guarantee is that there has been much consideration and collaboration with professors, economists, biologists, nanoscience experts, the list goes on. Mainly we take input from doctors and med students, and I have a sibling with a masters in the medical field, Ive managed to get a lot of info from her. My cousin is getting a degree in some kind of biology... cant remember the specific field name, but I learned from listeninig to her too.

No worries about above troll post, Ive researched this more than anyone I know (except the research being done by stanford, I cant squeeze out the details of the secret Stanford coin project... They have slipped details but not enough to confirm much). Please understand my intentions are to stop more people from suffering painful non effective cancer treatments (Chemotherapy). If you read into the words of the Stanford Lab teams you will see they have good intentions. They intend to create a nuclear medicine to replace chemo that can target only cancer cells. This is one of many great goals they have, there is plenty of reading to do about folding, google folding@home + "any detail" and you will get answers to all your questions.

Please do some reading about the folding@home project, it is very inspirational, epic use of world wide distributed computing power.
All wonderful - I fully support folding @ home.  But you are being purposely misleading, this is not a cryptocurrency.  The folding is not used as PoW to prevent a doublespend.  You are merely going to hand out some sort of coin in exchange for submitting work units.  I am simply stating this is not a valid comparison to Primecoin. This will never be a P2P decentralized currency.  It is a centralized token system.

Why don't I make AlienCoin - I will give out some sort of "coin" in exchange for submitting work units to SETI@home?

I cannot believe how badly Satoshi Dice is doing considering it just sold for nearly 12 million USD.  It is only 1 vote ahead of Insanity Dice:)

811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]Curecoin beta pool test - user limit lifted - Lets hit the Mile Stone 1200R on: July 29, 2013, 04:06:09 AM

This has been confirmed in an email from Professor Pande. They cant stop cygnus from releasing it anyways, obviously the smartest choice is to be ready for when he does...

We have the green light for the next stages ...

The next stages?  I'm still a bit confused.  Is the 'official' Curecoin going to be a coin with PoS/PoW, or just non-beta pay per F@H work unit?

Great work so far by the way.  I like this graph http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_summary.php?s=&t=224497

Can anyone explain the F@H viewer to me?  It's not showing anything (other than the earth city lights at night), no protein though.  Bottom left corner says "Protien: Loading."  Is it not showing anything since I'm only 2% into my project?
Unfortunately, there is no way to do PoW with protein folding since it is not "easy to prove".  Instead, they will be giving out coins whenever you make a submission.  This is not a cryptocurrency like bitcoin.  This is like getting a gold star for sending in work units;)

813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [XPM] The Unofficial Primecoin Overview Thread (all information in one place!) on: July 29, 2013, 03:47:36 AM
Hello fellow Primecoin miners.  If you are like me, you are confused by all the different miners, threads, clients and optimizations for Primecoin (XPM) now.  I figured we needed a post with all the aggregate information in one place.

Just as a very brief overview, Primecoin has a bunch of features (which admittedly, other alt-coins have) that are improvements over bitcoin.  The biggest one from a practical standpoint is much faster confirmation times due to 60 second block times (versus 10 minutes for Bitcoin).  This makes it functionally much faster for the  transmission of the primecoins.  However, what makes Primecoin unique from all the other coins (and there are a lot!) is its Proof of Work system actually does something useful (as opposed to a hashing algorithm such as SHA, scrypt, etc), it finds chains of prime numbers.

Specifically it finds the following types of prime chains:
1CC -> Cunningham chain of 1st kind
2CC -> Cunningham chain of 2nd kind
TWN -> bi-twin chain

What I really like about it, is these chains are useful not just for prime number theory but have uses for cryptography.  As we are all part of the crypto-currency revolution, anything that moves forward the science of cryptography enhances the entire eco-system.

For more information on what these chains are useful for:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cunningham_chain
http://mathworld.wolfram.com/BitwinChain.html

To Summarize, the Upsides of Primecoin:
1. # of coins only limited by Moore's law and efficiency of algorithms to find prime number chains.
2. Fast transaction time
3. Proof of Work scientifically relevant
4. No pre-mine, fairly launched on July 7, 2013 at 18:00 UTC

Primecoin Downsides:
1. Since only limit is Moore's law (no set max coin limit), if Moore's law is broken (ie quantum computers), the difficulty may drop in the future.
2. If another more useful PoW is found which meets the criteria of being both
   a. Hard to compute
   b. Easy to verify
   Then interest in the coin will collapse along with it's value
3. If the coin is successful and prime number theorists can use the results to find an equation to predict prime #s, it would essentially break the coin's PoW.  Though, not everyone would view this as a downside due to the enormous scientific value that may provide.

You can find an excellent, much more detailed article explaining primecoin here: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/primecoin-primer/#.UilbJJLbPng

814  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: July 29, 2013, 03:26:53 AM
Alot of optimism for Activeminer to actually deliver, hence the near tripling of the share price in the past few weeks.  Mining is a zero sum game, so if you are long ASICMiner, you believe the Activeminer valuation is more hype than reality.

If I had to pick, I would go with try and true ASICMiner, but the shares will stay under pressure so long as people think Activeminer will deliver.

Just-Dice.com

Check out the gambling site I made.  It's a dice game, with the following features:

* near-instant rolls

This one is no longer true for all bets. Just for bets equal to or above 0.0001.
True, though the delay only about 1 second below that.  Hopefully the server can be optimized and eventually those delays for bets less than .0001 reduced.

818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll, what coin do you want a pool for on: July 29, 2013, 01:15:12 AM
I think actually XPM (Primecoin) would be the right choice as only 1 pool online for now

You can then choose BTC or LTC but market is busy for them as pool operator.

You can also select any other small alt but you would surely close your pool in next weeks when rush is passed. XPM seem right choice when looking on ypool.net having sometime 4000 miners.
Primecoin definitely in a distant third after Litecoin at this point.  And the fact it has only one pool is detrimental to the health of the coin. I have 7 miners and would personally like to split them between a couple pools.

Another possibility would be Novacoin which seems to have a good deal of interest.

Today is the first day in a while that I will pay a commission.

What protection does Just-Dice have against someone cashing out before the commission is collected?
Everytime you divest, commission is charged.  In addition, it is charged at midnight UTC every Sunday.
