801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have $5, does anyone have 5BTC I can trade on: June 13, 2011, 10:15:23 PM
It is an even trade, 5 for 5, and my friend said that if I get some BTC then we could combine our assets because he saw some really cheap graphics cards that were only 25.
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I have $5, does anyone have 5BTC I can trade on: June 13, 2011, 10:09:09 PM
Also where can I buy the _____ around here?

Thanks!
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Implications of Satoshi holding 10% of bitcoins on: June 13, 2011, 09:37:53 PM
I imagine him waiting until Bitcoin saturates the planet, buying a sandwich, securely deleting his wallet, and moving on to his next adventure.
That will be a story cooler than any Hollywood movie.

It was all a prank. None of it was worth anything anyways, it was all virtual, he fooled everyone!
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox needs to improve their communications on: June 13, 2011, 05:47:30 AM
Maybe he just doesn't care about reddit.  I know I don't.

He actually does care about reddit.

The forums need to be deleted and/or moved elsewhere.
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox needs to improve their communications on: June 13, 2011, 05:13:48 AM
Make your own site or just wait until things improve.

I don't bitch because I don't have a gigabit line to my apartment yet.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hackathon in San Diego, California on: June 13, 2011, 05:07:11 AM
I'm near San Diego...can't pay with bitcoins?

They want me to spend all day on a Saturday weekend programming throw-away applications?

Something about your tone really bothers me. It's why this forum is going down the toilet.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] Bitcoins will close above $30/BTC Sunday 12PM UTC. on: June 13, 2011, 04:32:52 AM
you do mean sunday the 19th, right?

iffy.  but by monday the 20th 12PM - yes.

Yes, sunday the 19th. And I mean before any possible rallies that begin on Monday.
809  Economy / Economics / Re: Everyone understands that this wont last right? on: June 13, 2011, 04:07:50 AM
You people are ruining this forum. I hope you're proud of yourselves.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [WTF] MtGox moving ~432k BTC (4 to 12 million $) to a single address ! on: June 13, 2011, 03:58:09 AM
If no one invests in making their marketplace or site bitcoin capable because all they see is insane paranoid scheziophrenics who believe the government wiretapped their bathroom to steal their bitcoins then how is it ever going to get popular support? I want bitcoin to succeed, it's an excellent idea but currently the community seems to be really trying to destroy it (announcing they're going to use it for tax evasion, purchasing drugs, government conspiracies and such like).

We're working on a forum reboot, switching the current mess for a more business-professional one at weusecoins.

As the "official" bitcoin forum, this is just an embarrassment.

Thank you!! I'm really glad you're doing this. Keep up the good work!

811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [Poll] Bitcoins will close above $30/BTC Sunday 12PM UTC. on: June 13, 2011, 03:54:04 AM
Pick one. I think they will be above $30, based on current trends. And please don't direct me to the future options site... I don't want to do that.
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: >432109 BTC sent to 1 address, block 130281 on: June 12, 2011, 09:51:30 PM
Imagine if they made a typo in the address and everything got lost. It would be very disruptive.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter flashes...too bad I don't speak Japanese on: June 12, 2011, 08:26:45 PM
I just got off the phone with the giant burrito in the sky. Confirmed it is working with the internet ghost. Everyone using Mt. Gox is cursed for 37 years unless they wash their feet in the next 10 minutes.

What about those with no legs? Are they spared?
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hey Mt. Gox, how about a status message on the site! Not everyone is on IRC! on: June 12, 2011, 08:24:04 PM
Why do we have to rely on gossip to get the status of the largest bitcoin exchange?  If there are problems, say so.

It takes a lot of HTML and web2.0 technology to change the front page of the website.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinSurf.net - A Bitcoin Messenger on: June 12, 2011, 08:21:58 PM
Try putting http:// in front... his link didn't work for me either at first.

817  Economy / Economics / Re: Its going to $454, no Its going to zero, no on second thought its going to $50 on: June 12, 2011, 07:55:26 PM
I'm 100% sure it will go to 500. But tomorrow, depending on the prices, I might feel differently.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC do each of the developers have? on: June 12, 2011, 07:49:39 PM
In before someone whines about it being unfair...
819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] What is your trading strategy for Bitcoins? on: June 12, 2011, 07:31:31 PM
My plan is to buy a few now, invest them in the bitcoin economy and hopefully use some of my new bitcoins (from returns on inveswtments) to buy some dollars to use for boring stuff like bills and taxes. I guess this fits under the "Buy now, sell later" category.

Same here, this is exactly what I plan on doing.
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [Poll] What is your trading strategy for Bitcoins? on: June 12, 2011, 07:19:17 PM
Pick one and discuss.
