801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Questions I have about Bitcoin on: May 27, 2020, 07:51:31 AM

How secure is bitcoin really?

Remember when cz binance wanted to people to thank him for not ordering a re-org to recover lost funds? Isn't bitcoin mining dangerously centralized? What if in the future there is a terrorist attack by government or other criminal orgs that involve bombing or burning large bitcoin mining facilities?

Satoshi writes in the bitcoin white paper that we propose a solution to the double spending problem, but has this really been achieved? Double spends are still possible with a 51% attack, so what solution to double spending has been achieved? Can't large mining pools conspire to attack bitcoin?

These are concerns I have for the long-term viability and intrinsic value of bitcoin.

If a terrorist attack needs to happen and bomb all mining facilities then those attacks would need to happen all over the world and maybe sparkle a WWIII.
In this case, if Bitcoin is going to be shut, fiat currencies are going to be over inflated.
In conclusion, there is no way that Bitcoin is going to be harmed and not fiat currencies as well, the opposite cannot happen though.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 27, 2020, 07:41:41 AM
I’ve expected a better game from Borussia Dortmund, that was their last chance to try to get closer for the run on the top  Roll Eyes
Bayern will be the champion of the Bundesliga this year for sure
Dortmund should have won this match if they wanted to capture the title this season.
Even a tie would not be a positive result for them and yet they lost. This was the end of Bundesliga title chase I think. It is now clear that Bayern is going to be the champions this season again.

So shilling is being named now as "Digital Reputation"?
I think that this thread needs to be locked as it might be a service that might Shill a scam or an untrustworthy service.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 26, 2020, 09:56:12 AM
According to news from Football Italia, the Bianconeri have set prices for Higuain.  The player with the number 21 can be recruited if a club makes a bid worth 18 million euros.  Despite his desire to end his career with River, Higuain also has the opportunity to return to a career in the English Premier League, after defending Chelsea as a loan player in the second half of the 2018/19 season ago.

Who is interested in Higuain? Chelsea?
He is not worthy any more in the EPL, as he is very old to play in this intensive league.
He should better go back to Argentina and play for River as it would be more relaxing football for him there.

I always prefer the team that builds talent with youth & doesn’t spend too much money. I much prefer Dortmund to Bayern, obviously my love for Klopp leads me to preferring BVB too. I really hope Dortmund can win the title, they’re 4 points behind Bayern so they really can’t afford to lose this game.

Dortmund is mostly made up of young players. However, the team's budget is not as low as you think. I think they are a very high budget team. Haaland transfer was not a transfer that a very low budget team could make.

They are selling their players at high value so they have money to spend on new signings.
Just think of how many good players Dortmund has sold over the last years. Dembele, Goeche, Aubameyang are also some examples of that. This way Dortmund is making money in order to be able to make new signings.
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: May 26, 2020, 08:15:58 AM
Barcelona are coming to the end of an era with their current squad any way. Messi won’t last forever, Suarez is getting old, Pique too. They were always going to have to build again, they’ve lost great players before & still done well, they will do it again. Besides they are in a great position to win La Liga & maybe even the CL, this could still be a great season for them.

This is true. I think that before those players are going to retire, Barcelona is going to sell them to Chinese clubs.
This way they are going to get money in order to sign fresh players for building a squad without having any real problems with the financial fair play. The building of the team is going to need some time though.
808  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: HOw TO MAke MOney WIth BItcoin on: May 26, 2020, 08:09:34 AM
Found this site a few weeks ago, http://bitkoin.co.ke/ It's been helping me to put some Bitcoin in my Bitcoin Wallet.
You can earn 0.005btc for every person you refer to them. Check it out. If you decide to register please put my email as your referrer, kenramphele@gmail.com. That way I get to earn something. There is a registration fee of 0.01btc

This is not only a pyramid scheme in an unknown website but they require a registration fee as well.
I wonder if you have ever managed to get anyone to register in a website that writes Bitcoin as Bitkoin and they also deposited a registration fee of  0.01BTC.
809  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: AMFEIX - is it legit? on: May 26, 2020, 08:06:21 AM
If something's too good to be true, then it probably is not true...
I wonder how greedy the people in the crypto industry are. AMFEIX seemed not to be legit from the first day it appeared in the industry. There is not any way a company to guarantee you 23% profits without doing anything.

Every time I hear about FOREX trading I realise that something goes wrong there.
It is like forex is the same word like scam for me. You can never say that you are the best company when you are posting from a newbie account and no one has used your services.

I hope no one is going to fall for this and sends money to them.
811  Economy / Speculation / Re: [2020-03-11] Bitcoin Price Below $8,000 Again — Will Bulls Buy the Dip This Tim on: May 26, 2020, 07:59:18 AM
Bitcoin has built a strong support at 8.5k.
We are seeing a lot of pressure to see the price being dropped below this support - maybe investors want to drop the price below 8k so as to buy more and sell later but the community is supporting and the price cannot be moved below this level.
812  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Pyramid Scheme That Works on: May 26, 2020, 07:57:31 AM
Pyramid scheme doesn't work.
People are more cautious in the crypto space and no one is going to get caught in a pyramid scheme again - this was happening a lot in the past but not now.
I wonder how you state that it is guaranteed profit as there is not any real evidence of that.
813  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: May 26, 2020, 07:53:29 AM
Again, I lost everything. I'm sad guys. Recently, a very bad game.

You don't have a good strategy then.
Bustabit is one of the casinos that offer a good many profit to their users. If you are loosing your money so easily then you have to consider again the way you are placing your bets and how effective this is.
814  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-05-16] Pine64 Drops BitPay Before First Bitcoin Payment on: May 26, 2020, 07:50:07 AM
Here's the original thread: https://twitter.com/thepine64/status/1261275844913348610

Pleasantly surprised at twitter here. Lots of people saying they would flat out refuse to use BitPay, and lots of people recommending to use BTCPay instead.

BitPay are anti-bitcoin, anti-privacy, pro-KYC (for both sellers and buyers), pro-tracking, pro-BCash, charge excessive fees, and defeat the very point of bitcoin as they are a third party which you have to trust. You can read more details here: https://debitpay.directory/anti-bitcoin/. Most companies use them because they auto-convert to fiat, and many consumers will use them because there aren't any alternative merchants which don't use it. You can set up auto-conversion with BTCPay, however, so there is no good reason to use BitPay at all.

Good that BitPay have lost another company. Hopefully the community can continue to put pressure on companies which use BitPay, and ideally not give them our custom at all. The fewer people that use BitPay, the better for the individuals and the better for bitcoin as a whole.

Believe it or not but services like those that BitPay provides are going to be needed in the cryptospace in the merchandise industry.
I once used BitPay, I wasn't very happy about the fees but my purchase happened smoothly without any problem. The only reason that pressure needs to be put is to increase competition and achieve better terms for the customers.
815  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-05-01] Twitter Starts Shock War With Bitcoin And Crypto on: May 26, 2020, 07:47:14 AM
If twitter will start banning people from the crypto industry is going to be a huge mistake.
There are a lot of users-clients- of Twitter that come form the crypto space and this means that they are going to destroy one of their largest target groups thus they are going to lose money.

817  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus Outbreak on: May 24, 2020, 03:04:54 PM
The pandemic has started to go away and all people are coming back to normal habits.
The sad fact is that they ignore the measures that we have to take in order to be protected and it seems that we are going to have a new pandemic in the next autumn, unfortunately.
818  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 5G Has Dual Use As A Weapons System on: May 24, 2020, 02:54:38 PM
I keep my cellphone in the microwave oven which I don't use. This protects it from surges of 5G, which might burn it out if they hit it. Cheesy

Gotta go check it right now.

Cool

EDIT: I checked it. No new calls. But it sure smells yummy. Cheesy

What about when the time is going to come that you will want to use the oven for your food?
Your food is going to be full of 5G waves.
819  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you ready to fight for justice and freedom? on: May 24, 2020, 10:58:45 AM
Everyone wants A change, but no one is able TO change.
Most people will reply that they are willing to risk their life in order to fight for justice but no one is going to do it in the end.
820  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A good advice for every traders. on: May 24, 2020, 09:11:46 AM
Sometimes you should listen to the analysis of others and from that you can either make you own analysis or add some analysis so its safe where you gonna enter or exit. Recording of your trade decision makes someone confident about trading, some people forget why they enter or exit. Emotion is very important and patience in every trading decision.

I usually try not to hear others analysis.
I did once and I was forced to buy a coin that was not profitable and I wouldn't buy it if I didn't listen to this stupid analysis. There are a lot of people who give false info in order to pump coins for their own benefits.
