1101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 22, 2020, 08:09:02 AM
A high number of deaths has been reported in the last 24 hours in the UK. The season will be completed but it’s going to be at least 6 weeks before a ball is kicked & 100% it will all be behind closed doors. At least it’ll be on TV for us.
Right now USA, Russia, Turkey and UK leading countries where numbers are increasing very quickly and its really matter of frustration as they have very stick lock down but still its going out of control as few other countries also coming high very quickly in casualties but we can hope for good in near future nothing else.

Premier league is going to be one of the leagues that will be late to start.
I wonder how many games are going to be played in such a short period of time in order to finish the league. Will the performance of Liverpool is going to get impacted and in the end lose the title? Cheesy
(food for thought and conversation)
1102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is DeFi anything? on: April 22, 2020, 08:05:30 AM
DeFi is one of the greatest functionalities of Blockchain.
Most of the projects are built on the ethereum blockchain - and this is what it makes ethereum competitive.
DeFi projects are going to have an increase in the value as it will be the starters of the mass adoption trend.
1103  Economy / Economics / Re: Can One Sentence End the Financial Crisis? on: April 22, 2020, 07:56:22 AM
Financial Crisis will never end.
It is a vicious cycle that never ends. If it ends for a country then for another country is going to start. Having said that, financial crisis will always exists in countries around the world.
1104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: April 22, 2020, 07:47:03 AM
I do keep track of my expenditure in gambling and no I do not consider this as an investment, this is part of my therapy to cure my addiction, to look at it and regret what I spent.

If you are not profitable in gambling then why do you continue doing it?
As it is not an investment it is not an activity that will give you money. You should better keep that money and buy small portions of bitcoin instead of giving them to casinos.
1105  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: April 22, 2020, 07:41:58 AM
According to the research, the world health organization are not perfectly overcome the pandemic virus particularly in Italy and US except the country of China, so it is very close to clear that this lockdown has been extended throughout the world and it is probably that this coronavirus is also impacted the job to all people.

I heard that Italy is considering of returning back to normal rhythms in the near future.
The US has still way to go, but Europe is going to start quitting lockdown in May.
1106  Economy / Economics / Re: The drying oil on: April 22, 2020, 07:28:57 AM
Somebody help me understand. So Oil prices took a deep dive to the lowest price in 20 years. But in most countries, the price of gasoline in most countries hasn't even dropped. Why is this so?

Ιn my country we didn't realize a huge drop in the oil price.
There is a small decrease of about 0.20 cents but this is not totally the change that we expected.
The price stays high due to the high taxation that is imposed from the government.
1107  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: April 21, 2020, 06:40:31 AM
You actually did not give strong reasons why cryptocurrency can't replace fiat currency. Cryptocurrency can actually/theoretically do most things fiat currencies can do, but I doubt typical fiat currencies can safely do most things cryptocurrency can do with losing their centralization. Besides, government can run their fiats on Blockchain or other real decentralized system.

Crypto could actually work better in rural areas than fiat, even without relying too much on internet. But I believe safe/crypto-friendly worldwide rural internet coverage is a possibility in the future

Cryptocurrency can do most of the things that fist currencies can do.
However, cryptocurrencies rely on networks that are dependent from other factors such as the internet. I believe that there is not a good internet infrastructure in order to endure an economic system.
1108  Economy / Economics / Re: Collapse of crude oil prices on: April 21, 2020, 06:37:25 AM
Sooner or later this time was about to come. And I wonder why you re surprised.
People have started to try to get rid of oil production. We are promoting green energy, hybrid cars and electric cars.
It was about time to see the oil price dropping like that.
1109  Economy / Economics / Re: a disease or a virus or is there business in it? on: April 21, 2020, 06:33:12 AM
Is there any chance that when the corona virus appears, some scientists have discovered the antidote of the virus itself so that there is an element of intention regarding the spread of the corona virus because there is a business element in it so that the antidote for the corona virus is sought after by many people, this is like a film about spreading viruses that can kill and destroy the economy globally. what do you think about this?

If scientists have already found the antitode then it would be very stupid from their side not to give it to the public.
There is an extremely demand for this coronavirus antidote right now and they can make a lot of money by that.
1110  Economy / Economics / Re: The drying oil on: April 21, 2020, 06:30:55 AM
The way to stop this price drop is to decrease the production.
OPEC usually does that and the price is going up again. I wonder why they still haven't taken such measures. In the end they are going to suffer from a huge inflation.
1111  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you remember your first mobile phone? on: April 20, 2020, 11:26:53 AM
My first mobile phone was Nokia 3210.
Back then Nokia phones was beasts. Strong battery endurance and it was hard to get any damage to the phone.
After that I changed to Nokia 3310, 3310 was smaller than 3210 and it was an improvement at that time.
1112  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do we use shampoo? on: April 20, 2020, 11:12:16 AM
Shampoos are needed in order to keep our hair clean.
Our head is a place where a lot of bacteria can be evolved due to the fact that there are a lot of hair there and a lot of sweat comes from it.
Of course we need shampoos because they keep us healthy.
1113  Other / Politics & Society / A Good Salary vs A Career in the sector you love... on: April 20, 2020, 11:04:16 AM
Hi guys.
The dilemma that I am going to raise is something that I think has passed everyone's mind.
Would you ever choose a job that pays a good salary or would you choose a job in the sector that you love with lower salary?
Personally, I would go for the first option...
1114  Other / Off-topic / Re: what if ? on: April 20, 2020, 10:55:12 AM
What if this virus would be more worst than we think ? what if the infected people would turn into zombies just like in the movies? Well, if you're a fan of horror or a gamer actually, you simply say to your mind that its a dream to come true, but the reality is you were also afraid when you think about it when it becomes real. How important is your position, job and money especially your crypto assets? All our achievements in life would be all useless  Grin

Those things that you describe happen only in movies. (Maybe you should stop watching movies!)
The only bad thing that this virus might do is to harm more people who get infected. We don't know the real damage that this virus does to people right now, we will be about to realize that in the future.
1115  Other / Off-topic / Re: LEDGER x TRON PROMOTION! (RAFFLE) on: April 20, 2020, 10:06:12 AM
What is the reason of this giveaway?
I don't know if this link is legit. It seems that the website has been created just to run this promotion of Nano Ledger and TRX.
How is it ensured that this contest is not fake?
1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: April 20, 2020, 09:13:14 AM
For gamblers who depend solely on sport gambling, I guess this is the right time to take that "long" break from gambling.

It won't be a good idea shifting to online casino games if they are lockdown. This is when addiction will be at it peak especially for players who are not familiar with casino games.

I don't think that someone who likes to gamble on sports can be addicted to online games.
They are so different and the whole gambling strategy is totally different.
Online casinos are a good alternative to the pause of sports for gamblers.
1117  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did Bill Gates create Corona Virus? on: April 20, 2020, 08:18:45 AM

Quote
Roger Stone suggested Monday that Bill Gates may have had a hand in the creation of coronavirus so that he could plant microchips in people’s heads to know who has and has not been tested for COVID-19.

“Whether Bill Gates played some role in the creation and spread of this virus is open for vigorous debate. I have conservative friends who say it’s ridiculous and others say absolutely,” Stone told Joe Piscopo, host of the radio program “The Answer” on 970 AM, who had asked about conspiracy theories regarding the pandemic.

Interesting.

I don't get it.
How is a virus going to help in microchiping people? If Bill Gates had such a vision he could do it through his technologies as it would be much more easier to do so via smartphones, tables or laptops.
1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: April 19, 2020, 10:20:50 AM
Does running with a mask like that do not interfere with the breathing of the players, if indeed it is official?
It surely will, especially if it's a fully protective masks with no breathing holes.
As said above it could probably be intended to be a joke, but if football is to resume early, the technical crew, players in the bench and other non-playing staff my need to put on adequate protection, and customized ones to the teams design could be used

I wonder if it would be easy for the players to play football with masks.
It would be very hard to breath with them and it might have negative impact to their performance due to the limited air that will be flown to their lungs. It is a good solution for protection to those who are sitting on the bench though.
1119  Other / Off-topic / Re: A great tool to help correct some mistakes. on: April 19, 2020, 10:04:19 AM
Grammarly is a very helpful tool.
It can correct a lot of grammar of syntax mistakes when writing texts - I used to have it installed on my previous laptop and it really helped me. But, there are a lot of different sayings in different languages and this might create confusion when writing which cannot be understood by people from other countries.
1120  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto in Instagram on: April 19, 2020, 09:59:13 AM
There are so many industries that blockchain has applicability.
However, the content of the blockchain topics are not so related to Instagram. Instagram is more of posting pictures and content that have to do with visualizations, feelings, etc.
