802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning: Do not deposit on Shibaroll.com on: September 20, 2014, 08:50:51 PM
A lot of these sites are popping up. Always a good idea to see if other people have tested a site first before depositing. Thank for the warning.

Probably a lot more will pop in the near future. New way to scam people. Always good to test a new site with a little amount of coins to be sure that if you're scammed, you won't loose much.

804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin | Decentralized Market, Exchange, Email on: September 20, 2014, 07:44:11 PM
Met a very interesting group of guys today - the Trezor team. Trezor is a hard wallet for storing your bitcoins and they say it is the most secure form of storage today.
They explained the security behind in a technical way and I was stunned by such implementation. Since nothing in this world is 100% secure, I can say that Trezor is 99.9% secure for storing crypto-currencies and is very simple to use.
The main technical mind behind Trezor is Slush. He is the creator of slush's pool for mining bitcoins. He is also the creator of stratum protocol which is used by most mining pools today.
It was great talking to him. We exchanged a lot of ideas.  I was very keen on having Trezor being implemented for Saffroncoin. He was very open to that. They are also working on integrating Litecoin to Trezor. Slush said Saffroncoin also can be integrated if we develop an electrum wallet for it which is different from the normal Qt wallet. Trezor uses Electrum wallets of cryptos for signing transactions.
We will be keeping in touch regarding this.

Trezor are also affiliating with other companies in different countries. They and Unocoin are collaborating to be a distributed partner in India. This could even allow Trezor to be bought with SFR through unocoin's merchant services.

I also met Digibyte's lead Developer. It was a casual talk on multi-algo currencies and a future team-up for some tech implementation.

DGB's and SFR's devs teaming up? it's gonna be interesting  Grin
805  Economy / Economics / Re: Easiest way to make BTC? on: September 19, 2014, 10:38:48 PM
Seriously, how much BTC could you get from faucets? Most of them only offer a couple uBTC per visit.

you'll have a better return from click ad site like coinAd and the other sites like that.

Boardgames with betting options for the outcome. Risk would be one of my favorites  Smiley

bump for that. Risk is awesome.

Totally agree, it would be awesome to have an online risk game with btc.

ou sinon tu cherche un coin prometteur et tu diriges tes rigs sur le réseau en espérant qu'il prenne un minimum valeur pour rattraper tes dépenses de minage et que ca se passe dans un délai raisonnable.

Can we solo mine DGB with NVIDIA Quadro FX 580 under linux x64?
If so, which algorithm that should be done with ?

Anybody ? Thanks.

yes you can, it won't give you much but you can try.
Use groestl or qubit

Which software should we use for that ? cgminer ? It think that does not work with nvidia ?
Do you know how to set the things for solo mining from that particular software you will suggest. Thanks.
it seems like sgminer work with nvidia cards
Here's a tutorial for myriad, but it explain how to do it for groestl and qubit : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=545805.0
you might wanna try : http://cryptomining-blog.com/2735-new-ccminer-1-1-with-improved-groestl-performance-now-available/
never tried it so can't help on ccminer

i don't solo mine and with the card you are running, don't try you'll waste your time. get on a pool it will be better for you

Don't if it's because he's a newbie or not used to the forum, but people need to learn to look at the first post from a thread like this one.  Undecided

816  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: September 17, 2014, 06:13:10 PM
Why does everyone believe the value will skyrocket all of the sudden?

Where are you getting your facts?  I am guessing you are just guessing as much as any of us and hoping the price goes up!

All the speculation is about the dream they have not the reality they are into. It might reach 10k but not this year. If it gets back to 1k by the end of the year it will be a miracle. I might be wrong but nothing support a 10k value.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best age to introduce your kids to Bitcoin? on: September 17, 2014, 05:59:21 PM
around the time you start to talk about money to them. Don't get them involved until they have realized the value of money. Knowing it exist and dealing with is 2 different things.

One good thing you can do, is to teach them how to code or find a way for them learn how to. Can be really useful in the era we live in
818  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: help me to start a busness on: September 17, 2014, 05:55:33 PM
you can start with any of them, don't worry about advertising. If btc is included just post on BTCtalk if its great, people will talk about it.You should start with an easy one and see where it goes. If it goes well, make sure everything is ok with it and start an other.
819  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: September 17, 2014, 05:52:16 PM
don't have enough good talk about BTC and too much scams going around. You can get all the companies you want to accept BTC but if regular people fear to use it, you won't see the price rise.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining on: September 16, 2014, 11:58:05 PM
3 GPUs running on groestl and 2 running on qubit, mining coins i think have more potential than P&D. I'll have to wait before i can see if it pays out.
