A couple of days ago you asked us what is missing in the Top beginning Digibyte thread.
I had some spare time and added some things like exchanges,information about Digishield and some other things the community mentioned before and needed to be changed.
Offcourse there are some things you need to adjust.
I'm also asking the community to take a read and mention things what needs to be changed/added.

How to use and install Digibyte.
What is DigiShield & How it Works to Retarget Difficulty
DigiShield re-targets a coin’s difficulty to protect against multi-pools and an over-inflation of easily mined new coins. DigiShield was originally developed for DigiByte, but has since been implemented into Dogecoin and will soon be implemented into more coins. DigiShield re-targets a coin’s difficulty between every block or in the case of DigiByte & Dogecoin, every 60 seconds.
In summary DigiShield is a balanced asymmetrical approach to difficulty re-targeting. You don't want to let the difficulty go too high too fast, but you need to give it enough room to catch up quickly. The same thing goes with down swings, since it takes longer to discover new blocks you need to give it more room to go down, but not enough to send it to the floor. DigiShield is by no means the absolute "perfect" solution to the multi pool/ difficulty problem, but after testing dozens of different setups over a five day period including KGW and the Earthcoin approach, the current ratios/ settings in DigiShield out performed any other solution available at the moment.

The Four Phases of Crypto Currency Technology AdoptionPhase 1 (2009-2012): Initial creation & Development of crypto technology that laid out the foundation for DigiByte to be created upon.
Phase 2 (2013-Present): Adoption within small “theme” based tech communities on the internet. We believe we are now approaching the end of this phase and the current production of “meme” theme based coins will begin to dwindle or be pushed to the side. Reasearch btcd, a full node bitcoin implementation in the Go language, by conformal systems (

Why did DigiByte switch to Multi-Algo mining?
1) To update DigiShield and speed the blockchain back up to normal.
2) It is the most fair POW mining option out there (embraces ASICs & GPU miners alike on an even playing field).
3) More secure than a single POW mining scheme (much harder to 51% attack).
4) Speed block timing up to 30 seconds to facilitate faster merchant transactions (ties in with DigiPay LLC development).
5) Tap into used Bitcoin ASIC miners market. (Use those old ASICS to help secure the DGB blockchain)
