It's happening again. Another crypto first. Members of this community have the change to do that often with those devs :p

Good news, we need to rebuild this community one step at a time.

More fake news, manipulation and threats coming this week?

What do you guys think about the future profitability of Digibyte's?
To be honest, you must consider most of digibytes haven't been mined yet. Meaning the current 150k dollars cap should actually be viewed as a 1M$ cap for the long term. However if dgb goes anywhere over 1M$ (and hopefully it will) it's a good investment for the long term. Active devs + good community, good things are coming in the future.

They want the price to drop so they can get BTC cheaper.
Mostly this.. otherwise why would they care? Plus many of them don't understand BTC and have heard about Silk Road and Mt. Gox and didn't look much further. Also a little bit of this: http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/your-online-secrets/201409/internet-trolls-are-narcissists-psychopaths-and-sadistsTrolls largely just enjoy trolling and BTC is a good place to do it, people might actually lose money off of their trolling, which they love! Eventually people realize they are trolls, they get a bunch of negative trust votes.. and they switch to a new account that hasn't been blacklisted by the community yet. sadly when they switch account they have time to create enough damage before having to switch again.

We still need to find a way to promote this community with devs to support bushido, marketing team and members willing to create projects based on VTC.

read and learn, be able to make your own decisions. Those so called experts can tell you to go one way but it's your responsability to have enough knowledge to take the right decision for you. Don't do anything only based on the opinion on someone else, if do you that, you have no right to complain.

Looking back, the VertPay fiasco at the start of May seems to be the start (or at least the acceleration) of the massive decline for Vertcoin. All of the people who raised objections to VertPay and other developers who wanted to create positive things for Vertcoin have moved on to other things. Since the community members who started this are gone, is there any hope in garnering support from the developers who used to be a part of Vertcoin? Basically, developers were trying to create great products centered around Vertcoin and community members lambasted them. The essence of what occurred, for those who don't remember, or who weren't around, can be found in this reddit thread. Inflamatory discussions took place over many different threads during that time period, but this is generally what they were all about. http://www.reddit.com/r/vertcoin/comments/25a603/my_take_on_the_vertpay_issue_stay_far_away_they/chf71mkA good thing to do would be to contact them and asked them if they would be interested to come back to VTC.

I like the idea of N-factor 14. Can you elaborate more on how this can help as an interim measure? What would be the impact of n-14 on the current mining scene?
N-14 would be nice to make things harder for n-scrypt capable ASIC, around the corner probably: http://www.reddit.com/r/vertcoin/comments/2gn1qr/time_for_lyra2re/I'm not sure we should talk about it anyway, when I just get short message from Bushido, about no change N. It's better to focus on the switch to Lyra2 and create everything we'll need for the future, like a Marketing team and a dev team to support bushido's work

So next release will be...?
I think there will be massive release of new developments soon. It will be interesting to see this new release.

The algo switch is coming (don't know when since bushido can't work on it right now) but it will probably help the price but algo switch alone won't help much if the community is not willing to push things forward. We need to look at Dogecoin for a good example of the power of a community. I agree. The whining on /r/vertcoin is just bad. People claim such nonsensical stuff. Apparently now VTC has "failed its premise of ASIC resistance" because it'll get a couple of months of ASIC mining. Those guys probably live in a perfect world where nothing ever went wrong to them. Believe it or not, I think having a couple of months of ASIC mining will be beneficial to the alts ecosystem as a whole. I hope VTC will recover from the blow. It will recover only if the majority start to act and stop waiting for everything to fall in place. If we want this coin to survive, we need to put everything in place as a community and it start by funding a dev team to take over bushido work since he's not able to do it right now. We need a marketing team and mostly we need these two teams to talk to each other a lot for better result. When those 2 things will be in place, it will be time to focus on other things. Because right now if we don't have both of those teams, this coin will go nowhere.

Il y a Envycoin qui semble être une bonne idée mais que l'ICO ne semble pas décollé du tout.

is there any chance this coin will rise back to $1,50? i still hold alot but i only see it falling The algo switch is coming (don't know when since bushido can't work on it right now) but it will probably help the price but algo switch alone won't help much if the community is not willing to push things forward. It's good news, this community is more careful when dealing with new coins.

I would need the developers to do talk to too see how this work our way of thinking is SHA 256, Scrypt, X11, Keccak, Quark but then again other then scrypt since it is scrypt we are open too other ideas.
You can ask the devs of Myriad, digibyte or saffroncoin. They're all multi-algo, maybe they can help you.

Ebola is a growing concern around the world, EMC2 is considering making a donation to Ebola research, how would you help fight ebola if you could?
Here are many people willing to help but not as disguised attempt to promote EMC2 ! So who's willing to step up and lead this project?

Looks like nothing is happening for DigiByte lately? Except for the multi-algo switch of course, which is a pretty big thing. But besides that?
All the coins are doing some kind of ASIC resistance algos. Thats not something big. Merge mining like Doge can come in useful if implemented. Merge mining the scrypt algo with doge could be very interesting since both community are really open to help each other.

to guy on the street, you need to explain the usability of crypto
to the miner you explain the asic resistance.
Don't mix both, don't be technical with someone who don't know anything about cryptos.
