802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: new to bitcoin, don't know how to use on: September 28, 2021, 03:21:32 PM
Bitcoin is currently used for investment. So the use is to hold bitcoin and develop it, such as from mining, programming and also trading. There bitcoin can be developed and its value will increase from the estimated price of fiat. Although bitcoin itself remains at its value.
This applies to the people that see Bitcoin as an asset but if we want Bitcoin to fully fulfil its functional base on Satoshi Nakamoto vision, as stated in his mail archive. Bitcoin is not just for investment, holding to accumulate more, it is also a currency and if it not use as currency it wont be mainstream of payment in the future.
803  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How cryptocurrency trading have helped the youth. on: September 27, 2021, 11:38:28 PM
Yes, exactly. It is not an easy thing to make profit in cryptocurrency. In addition to having skills in trading, patience and perseverance to always see market conditions are also major factors. Some of them leave crypto because they don't have enough concentration power to learn and don't do risk management. So the result of not having good skills leads to instinctual decisions and a bit of analysis.
Yes but most of the cryptocurrency traders I know leave trading due to big loss and also to prevent addiction because crypto trading is categorized as gambling and once a trader is addicted to it he will always watch the market price every minute of the day. Besides, I have seen a lot of trading on the street walking and checking the chart.
804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it too late to buy? on: September 27, 2021, 08:25:02 AM
It is never too late to jump in the Bitcoin train and I believe it will be only late if someone chooses not to join or after the total 21 million coins are mined cause the Bitcoin holder will choose to use them as an asset. Technically the demand for Bitcoin in the market will be high while the supply will be little.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons for newbies loss in bitcoin on: September 27, 2021, 07:53:22 AM
I think it should be FUD, who lacks patience and confidence in his choice
if you are serious in your plan of investing? then you should know the ins and outs of the profiteering you are entering.

FUD should not be part of the losing because this is tolerable .

but the wrong decisioning and not enough confidence is indeed the reason why more newbies fell losing .
Seriousness and confidence are not enough to prevent investors from making a loss in Bitcoin investment if the seriousness and confidence are not back with concrete knowledge. The same thing goes in every organization, the person with knowledge will always be on top and also outstanding among others.
806  Other / Meta / Re: What is the main reason you don't come to this website more often? on: September 27, 2021, 01:36:11 AM
I presumably don't have a problem with the mobile view of this forum and I also like the knowledge I have gained from the messages post by the members of this forum.
If I don't come to this website more often it is because I am busy with real world responsibilities.
807  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The psychology of stoploss on: September 26, 2021, 09:36:54 PM
Stop loss is part of risk management, but with various market manipulation issues, it makes me less confident in applying stop losses, in fact their effectiveness cannot run normally. Experienced traders do not make stop loss as the main management to minimize risk. And some of the other strategies they use are based on an analysis of how market forces tend to rise and also based on the laws of the market.
It is difficult to know if experience traders don't use stop loss as their main management to minimize risk because every trader have its strategy use in making a trading conclusion but I  don't like the stop loss idea but it is a good strategy a trader must put in place after study to understand the market possible trend.
808  Economy / Gambling / Re: [CLOSED] ★BetBTC★ Sportsbook | Bitcoin Sports Betting | Since 2014 on: September 26, 2021, 09:15:16 PM
That would be unprofessional if they will change their mind after making a decision to close the business.
No, I think it's something perfectly normal. I have seen some services do this kind of thing before, and they are still running business well as usual after making a U-Turn. One of the services I know was purse.io who had initial decided to shut down their business but then reconsidered to continue operating after some time
What always causes this is if the project was sold to another management just like how Coinmarketcap was sold to Cz Binance because it will take a lot of time before project devs would decide to close down a project.
Taking the U-turn can't just happen like that.
809  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: September 26, 2021, 08:46:05 PM
It is the reality about life.

We are living to make money and we need money to keep living. That's why there are people who are working smartly and they're trying to beat the process through their smart thinking legally and solving world problems.

That's the best way to accumulate wealth.
Yes, making money is a reality in life cause we have some responsibilities that needed to be taking care of, and that can only be done through money. However, we don't only live to make money cause something especially family is more important and will always be the top priority of every responsible person.
810  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Give this bitcoin test... on: September 24, 2021, 08:22:42 PM
This is a wonderful idea though I feel like stopping at some junction when I don't understand some questions ask but in the end, I'm sure that I learn something new from all the questions I failed.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difficulty of explaining Bitcoin to people is massive on: September 24, 2021, 07:40:28 PM
Do you guys have any suggestions on how to explain coins to non-crypto people?
This reminds me of when I first joined this forum I asked a lot of silly questions and it was logical for newbies not to understand the system. However, the best way to explain Bitcoin to non-crypto people is to tell them the purpose of its creation, the advantage it hard and gave them the Bitcoin official website to write it.
It will ease your difficulty when next you see them.
812  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for beginner/new crypto traders to interview on: September 23, 2021, 10:27:20 PM
Forgive me if I am a bit skeptical about this who survey, but why do you particularly need newbie traders?
I wonder either.

The problem is that OP lack the required patience.
He's not aware of the forum rules and regulations he's planning an interview when privacy is the top priority of the forum member. Instead of him opening a thread, ask questions about how he ought to do it, or follow the idea of forum interview which was done by zasad@ he's planning to do interview for people who are probably vulnerable and said it is not a scam, who said he's planning to scam the newbies in the first place.

814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi hacks [history] on: September 22, 2021, 01:04:04 PM
It seems that most altcoin project devs are only after making money through projects rather than the safety of investors and the project security cause just in a short span the number of DeFi that was hacked is huge.
If this continues DeFi may lose the trust of crypto market finance enthusiasts.

815  Other / Meta / Re: Monthly Report Statistics on: September 16, 2021, 12:50:28 PM
When a report is market as "unhandled", is it because moderators were busy or something or is it a way to acknowledge the report is not bad but not so good as to act either?
From my perspective, reports remain unhandled because no mod decided to take any action, based on their judgement. The report may technically not be bad (cause it would be marked as such), but it's a complicated situation and each mods chooses not to act.
AFAIK, the mods have a restricted board where they can discuss reports and in a case where a report is presented and no one can come up with a solution, it will be marked as bad.
Unhandled means it was not picked up by any mod at all; you only take action when something is handled.

Agreed.

These numbers are insane, and there must be leftover cases every month; I'm curious if these unhandled cases are cleared every month. to make way for fresh cases?
If I understand what hilariousandco said correctly. I think yes and that's the reason why some cases are unhandled for they are unable to be treated for a certain max time.
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Michael Saylor buy the bitcoin.Bitcoin prices are likely to rise. on: September 16, 2021, 12:35:58 AM
Bitcoin is a coin that has made it very popular all over the world. Bitcoin's donation I saw is not falling below 45 thousand but it is moving towards further improvement. I was hovering around 47,000 in the middle of the day and now the price is expected to rise further because rich people like Elon Musk are buying bitcoin.
One of them is Michael Saylor.
I saw from some news that Michael Saylor will stop buying Bitcoin but it is not
MicroStrategy bought an additional 5,050 bitcoins for $ 242.9 million at an average price of $ 48,099 per bitcoin.
Michael Saylor tweeted this on Twitter yesterday.
source: https://twitter.com/michael_saylor/status/1437386724443926535
Some people believe Michael Saylor said it just to influence the price of the market but let's assuming MicroStrategy does buy the 5,050 Bitcoin. Do you see it influence the price of the market?
It means the level of demand is low and people are already expecting possible market blood bath which was said the always happen when it Q4 of the bullish year market.
817  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2022? on: September 16, 2021, 12:16:01 AM
No one is an expert when it comes to Bitcoin market price prediction because the market is full of surprises but from what I read and hear from people who understand the Bitcoin halving effect market, 2022 is the year of market blood bath and the price of the Bitcoin market should be below $40,000 price range.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is a hardware wallet really worth it? on: September 06, 2021, 10:34:41 PM
Both Coldcard and hardware wallet really worth it but if you choose Coldcard, you need to make sure the card vendor is someone trusted. However, 97% of all crypto enthusiasts will advise you to get a hardware wallet cause it is one of the safest wallets but you still need to avoid human error though.
819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi about to show up? on: September 06, 2021, 09:50:43 PM
I don't see any reason why Satoshi will show himself because he will not want to destroy what he built for the left Bitcoin just to make sure that people are the total decentralized network through Bitcoin
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The more popular Bitcoin is, the more valuable it is? on: September 06, 2021, 09:09:15 PM
I believe most Bitcoin investors only care about the profit they make which is the reason most people only believe that the more popular Bitcoin is, the more it will be valuable in price whereas this will also make the market to be easier to be manipulated.
For every advantage, there will always be disadvantages.
