BTW we can get the coin listed on cryptopia for 0.7btc. If anyone wants to contribute, pm me.

I do not think there is point in paying cryptopia to get anything listed. The volume they have there is not worth it especially as you need to pay for it. It would be ok if it was free (i think csc has proven itself already without needing to pay to get listed somewhere), but in the end it is up to you Smiley
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: crypsty hacked over 1.5 yrs ago. 13000 BTCs and 300,000 ltc on: January 15, 2016, 11:14:36 AM
It really feels as if there was really no hack and vern just pocketed the coins. If they really had happened then the steps that were taken after it really make no sense. Delaying withdrawals, closing the office and moving out months before they announced what happened.
Was Mintsy a try to make back the money they "lost" or a way to make more before they got out ?
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will developers start forking to "secure" the coins in Cryptsy's cold wallets? on: January 15, 2016, 09:58:06 AM
Many of the cold wallets at Cryptsy have known public addresses. Will developers do something?

Comments and suggestions are welcome! Smiley

Im pretty sure coins will not try fork them out (i mean some could, but most will not). It could however mean some cheap coin or reduction in altcoin prices because we do not know if cryptsys funds will be dumped on different exchanges. It could possibly create a pretty big crash at least temporarily.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] ♠ CasinoCoin v2.0 ♥ New Wallet ♦ 2+ Years Old ♣ on: January 15, 2016, 09:53:06 AM
Everyone,

You need to use alterdice and alcurex now. Do not send coins to Cryptsy associated addresses. Cryptsy was hacked. Lost 13k BTC and 300k LTC. They are trapping all coins and going under. All trading and withdrawals are suspended. This is 100% official now. They are done. It's over.

http://blog.cryptsy.com/

If you have CSC trapped in Cryptsy, please report the balances here. We need to know what the scale of the damage is.

I hope most of you got your coins out, if not then its on you as the warnings were given such a long time ago. Time to start setting up on both Alcurex and Alterdice. Alcurex has a lot of Buy support already actually.
And i agree on the lower supply part but we cant be sure on if they will not try sell the coins they have. Could be some cheap coins coming.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Game Currency ~ ON CNBC ~ Twitch.tv ~ ShapeShift.io ~RPG + More! on: January 15, 2016, 09:49:32 AM
Awesome!  0.00004000 BTC (57.46 %)   Shocked

Great coin, great community.  I still think we could come up
with a better coin image than the 3 i have seen so far.
Actually, I now see that it does in fact say "Hyper" on my
desktop coin image, but i can barely see it.  Make all the
letters black maybe?

It is nice to see the price recovering. HYPER is a stable investment, well at least for me because i got in such a long time ago (even lower than this) and i have been staking ever since. Selling at highs and buying at lows Smiley
The fact that HyperFuture is back is really showing in the price.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SCRT] | X11 PoW + PoS | Secret Coin for Secret Games by TEAM SECRET on: January 14, 2016, 09:22:06 PM
Impressed! 1800 and over 10BTC buy wall at Trex and yobit. Looks we are coming to time when it was over 2200 like month ago! Super!

I guess it's true that Warren Buffett was buying.

Yeah, as a personal friend of Warren, I can prove this.

The admin showed he means business and he also needs more coins, so the price will only move up. The people holding right now have no intentions of selling, that combined with the low amount of coins only means the value will be going up. Keep in mind that this is a currency with a purpose, it will be used for mobile app's.

OK LADIES LAST ADVICE

SELL YOUR CLAMS NOW, THE PARTY IS OVER

SUB 0.001 BY THE END OF NEXT WEEK, MARK MY WORDS

REALLY, I'M NOT KIDDING  Wink

Lets make a deal. If CLAM is not 0.001 by the end of next week then you disappear from here and stop posting here. You stop the fudding and preferably disappear from this forum in general. Looks like a real good chance to prove yourself and show others you are just not full of hot air.

Accepted.

IF THIS SHITCOIN IS NOT BELOW 0.001 BY NEXT SUNDAY, I PROMISE TO DISSAPPEAR FROM THIS SHITCOIN THREAD FOREVER

Anyway, I'm not gonna dissapear of the forum. My mission is to support clean, valuable and innovative projects, and to crash shitcoins like this one. And of course, to have good profits by doing so. Grin

A PROMISE IS A PROMISE, AND I NEVER WAS, NEVER BE, AND NEVER WILL BE A TRAITOR

PD: Remember to sell, it's your last chance to enjoy these prices.

Thank you. If what you say is correct then we will see some serious action in the coming day's. If it is not then this project moves on as it has and everything will go back to normal. Leaving the thread will be fine, and im pretty sure everyones fine with that.
Let the games begin!

I forgot to mention how my "Polo mining adventure went". I contacted Polos support and they deposited the coins into my account. They did ask for me to avoid using Polo for mining as they do not accept generated blocks. So a word of advice to everyone, if you want to mine directly to your own address, make sure you get your own wallet and use that.
Polo support was very helpful tho so +1 for them

810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets try to make 1.5 BTC from 0.013 on: January 14, 2016, 04:13:44 PM
After some fails from the starter of this method, I would like to give it a shot.
The rules are simple- I pick a game and place a bet of 0.013BTC. If I win, I will place another pick with the whole sum of the money - 7 times.
The odds I choose will be from 1.9 to 2
So the scheme will be: (I wrote *2 to easier calculate)
0.013*2
0.026*2
0.052*2
0.104*2
0.208*2
0.416*2
0.832*2
=
~1.664

I will pick games after research, and I will review the games.

1. CSKA vs Barcelona - Barcelona+6 @ 1.93
In CSKA, some key players will not play today- Jackson Aaron and Freeland Joel. De-Colo - The best CSKA scorer is in doubt to play after a sprained ankle injury. If he will play, it will be after couple days without trainings.
Moreover, the game will not be played at the usual home court of CSKA.
If CSKA will win, it will be very tight win.

2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

I think i saw something like this a few days ago. The martingale sports betting is an interesting approach for sure. You could even make lets say 10 different starting bets over time. And try to get all of them to lets say 7 wins. Even if one betting sequence wins then you are already in the positive.

A lot of trading activity in a past few days... things warming up again.

We are going to celebrate that and burn some Pandas latter today.

Lock your seatbelt, everything ready for liftoff...  Cheesy

Today!? What's coming today, would love some news about what is happening. Could be a good time to get some more if something is really happening already. Looking at it right now seems the volume for today is low but never know when someone takes a shot at the 1 sat wall again.

Yes, today  Smiley
We are going to burn 1,000,000 PND to cut total coin supply...
not too much, but enough to make a little test.

Good idea, but it may be better idea to burn 10k - 100k Pandacoins every day,
than burning 1M only once. So coin supply will drop every day a little,
and grab more attentions to users.

Ah ok. Does this mean that there have been steps going on for the new coin also ? Or just testing the burning mechanic to ensure all is working as you wanted ? 1mil is a good amount to start with as a test. But as Bitdonator sayd, maybe it is better to do 10x100k tests?

Network activity is really great recently, with so many people having their wallets opened. I wonder, if Nullu finally pops up to provide us with some update, to start better 2016.

I completely forgot i even had PMP. Looks like i need to do some searching to find my PMP wallet so i can help keep up the network. I think i actually have a pretty decent amount of PMP so i really hope that Nullu does come back and things start to develop for PMP. It is still a really nice coin with good potential Smiley

814  Economy / Gambling / Re: Professor Explains Why Your Chances Of Winning "Powerball" Are Next To None! on: January 14, 2016, 10:52:00 AM
The chances are pretty much non existent as proven. It should not come as a surprise to anyone tho that the chances are so small. Even if it is nearly impossible to win it doesn't really hurt to get a ticket. I dont play lotto often but i do get a ticket from time to time just for the fun of it.

It does actually.. Most people who buy lottery tickets in the US make $9,000.00-$38,000.00(not data but they have to that's almost the entire salary range for the US just about the entire US adult population). That's 0.02%-0.01% of their annual income which, since people typically spend the same margin of their income no matter their salary(old economic stuff), is coming out of around 11% of that salary, so at $38,000 is around $4,400.00 a year worth of disposable income. That's one ticket per year..

That's now 0.04% of that $38,000.00->$4,400.00 a year for one ticket. One ticket a week is 2.18% and so on.. Remember kids.. we only get around 35 years of earning money before we die and if you werent gifted a house you'll spend at least a third of it towards that..

If one plays as often as this then for sure, it will become a burden. Overall the amount grows to a really big amount and will become noticable. But when you look at it this way. Would one rather get a ticket or would rather buy a (burger ? coke ? or what ever junk) then the ticket is not as bad. You get a small chance of a fortune instead of gaining weight.
815  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for new Casino/Poker Program to promote on: January 14, 2016, 10:47:50 AM
Hi everybody I am looking for a new casino/sportsbook/ poker afiliate program to join and promote of course it has to accept at least bitcoin.

Any suggestions?

I would look around in the forums and make a list of the sites and what % they offer + if they have any other perks for affiliates. Once the list is done do some split testing to see what works. I have been promoting for a while and i can say it can be pretty hard, getting users is easy but real players are rare.

I will post an update as soon as I get one. mr_projects is still working on day job stuff, and Zach is getting back to work after the holidays.

Let us hope 2016 will be the year for Crypt! I have been holding my coins ans staking them, slowly getting some more on dips. I am sure once everything is released the price will move up and the Crypt market will become more active once again. Really looking forward to it Smiley

818  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino that does/doesn't admit they've been hacked? on: January 13, 2016, 02:31:11 PM
I will trust the one that admit they've been hacked if they really got hacked. But some of the past scam hyip and lots of other ponzi have used hacked as fake made up statement to get away from investigation so the one which provide link to cold wallet address (bitcoin related casino) to show their solvency and admint when they get hacked will be the trusted one.

Casinos with proper cold storage shouldn't get hacked in the first place. Isn't that the whole point behind having a cold storage so the funds can remain completely secured?

I can understand if a site claims that their hot wallet got compromised (which usually has a small amount of coins), which is acceptable but I don't believe when they say their funds got stolen from cold storage. If funds move from a cold storage, its almost certain that the real owners moved it themselves and claimed they were stolen.

If a casino don't have a visible cold storage then you can not know if they were hacked or not unless they explicitly declare that themselves.

There is always the option of getting hacked, no matter what site it is. It doesn't even matter if it has a cold wallet or not. Who says the hacker cant get into the system and change the deposit address into his own so anyone entering the site sends him the money ? or anything along those lines. The question in the OP is simple tho, would you trust the company who is honest about it or the one who is not.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] safecex.com - yet another anonymous cryptocoin exchange on: January 13, 2016, 02:28:24 PM
The site looks good, but allow me a few questions:

How do you ensure it won't get "hacked" like many other smaller exchanges last year (Allcrypt, Cryptoine, Allcoin,...) and all user funds are gone? Did those "hacks" or the stories around it help you to improve the security? What makes it more secure than those mentioned?

Are you planning to provide an exchange where miners can sell most of their coins (like Cryptsy)? Or will it become another "we host each shitcoin scam ICO for profit"? TBH, I don't the smaller exchanges not very much, no volume, don't like the GUI,...

Hello,

Thank you for your interest.

First thing, we'll not have any ICO coin. We'll not have POS only coins either. Maybe with a few exceptions for very popular POS coins. We want to propose coins that can be mined. We're coming from the mining side. I've been running the yaamp.com pool for a while and i'm now collaborating with the hashpower.co people to build this new exchange. So it's going to be a crypto exchange for miners. All coins we have at this time are almost the same as those that hashpower.co mines.

To be honest, it's when cryptsy started to crash that we decided to create this new exchange. There were some good coins we could not trade anymore.

The question of security is a hard and a central one. It's the jungle out there and that makes me having problem to sleep at night. It's kind of difficult to know what happened exactly to these exchanges that were hacked. People tend to keep details very secretly. I understand that while in a fight against hackers, you dont want to give them too much information by releasing details to the public.

We've been fighting hackers on the yaamp.com and hashpower.co sites. We've already been hacked with limited damage. We cleaned up and have now more experience at keeping wallets and databases safe, and are doing good so far. I understand that running an exchange may attract more attackers than a small pool but we are committed at using the best industry standards and keeping up against evil forces. But the reality is that it's not possible to be 100% hack proof. I mean, look at the cryptsy security page. They were doing all good. But still, something happened. Being small is easy, growing is much less.

Anyway i suggest anyone using our site to go easy and to not make large deposit for starting.

We have a bot that is aggregating orderbooks from other exchanges so all our orderbooks are already lightly filled and ready to trade. We dont need to have thousands of users before being usable exchange.

Crypto really feels like the wild west. There are attempts on hack exchanges all the time, well any crypto sites actually. Going by that line do you have a bug bounty system where you reward the users for letting you know about the possible issues ?

Also had a look at the site and i quite like it. Adding the pool is a nice touch and so is adding them all to the exchange or swaping them.
