I'm back in business after some health issues.

Most boards models are in stock, and you can expect some new stuff soon for 2017.

I didn't know.

Hope you get well soon, M8.

Cheers,

Read this:

http://give-me-coins.com/support/faq/what-is-pplns/

You're confusing PPS / Prop with PPLNS

EXACTLY!

Thanks
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: ZCASH / ZEC Suprnova Pool Stratum enabled: https://zec.suprnova.cc on: December 11, 2016, 09:21:12 AM
suprnova pay wrong with PPLNS  Huh you need coinmine setup again

I would much rather have PPLNS.  It's the way to go in my opinion.

Suprnova, is a GREAT pool with quick response from support.

You have to allow your shares to build up over several rounds as OCminer said.

EDIT:

I'm happy to have a thread here on bitcointalk.org for supernova.

I used to be in the CK/Kano Pool thread all the time when I mined bitcoin.  They know how to run a pool as well.

By the way, they too run PPLNS.

Hi !

Yes, you've created a conflict by using the address in an anonymous account first and now trying to use it in your private account.

You can either use a new address for your private account or message me again if it's not possible and I can delete the anonymous account.

Okay, thanks!

I'll give a different address a try.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: ZCASH / ZEC Suprnova Pool Stratum enabled: https://zec.suprnova.cc on: December 08, 2016, 09:11:55 PM
Hi OCminer,

I recently navigated to your website [Without reading directions].  I did try to mine to my ZEC address t1XAaQnvjwf8JhkwB3ZSBt76oPJE6WspPG4 on your pool at first like other ZEC pools.  I determined I could not monitor my rigs like other pools if done in this fashion.  It took a while to figure out I needed to create an account.

Once I created an account "ProudClown" and logged in, I got all my miners up and running without issue.  I entered in a wallet address in the field provided for auto payout and it was set to 3.0 ZEC.

My balance is now over 3.9 ZEC but no payout.

When I try to do an "On Demand Payout" it will not allow me to enter an address into the field provided.  It has a circle with a horizontal line drawn through it to symbolize "no entry."  No address is in that field at all.  When I look in the auto payout address field, no address is there either.  When I try to enter my address [The one I first tried to mine to without an account t1XAaQnvjwf8JhkwB3ZSBt76oPJE6WspPG4] in the auto payment field, it tells me, "... the address is in use."

Any ideas on what to do?  Did I create a conflict within your system when I first tried mining to my address without an account?  Am I forced now to use a different address?  If so, no big deal.

Thank you kindly,

David

Im busting a gut to short the bejesus out of this on Bitmex, but know that the noobs wont be able to contain themselves, and will buy into the release. So do we wait for 6, 12, or 24hours? IDK.

Well if the get rich quick club is taking 20% for 4 years, it might be a while before the dump.

And somebody gets it.

Thumbs up...

Customer Service-Overseas Today at 14:30

Dear customer,

Your hash board was damaged physically before we received it. It may happened in transit.
If you need the picture of the hash board, I can send it to you.

Yours respectfully,
Quentin

Make sure I understand this correctly...

Is Bitmain the one who sent this message to you today regarding a board you sent to them?

If so, what good is a picture going to do for you?
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: August 23, 2016, 04:31:01 AM
I would like to see what Claymore's Etheruem miner is reporting over the API on Rig 14 compared to one of the other. Could you please generate an API report for Rig 14 and Rig 1 for example? You find this feature in the toolbar: Tools -> API Report. Please send the information via PM or by e-mail to info[at]awesomeminer.com
Thanks!

Hi patrike,

Thanks for the quick reply!  My apologies for the delay.  I've been setting up more rigs.  I still have the following rigs remaining to build (set up): 6 more rigs made up of  6 x Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury's in each rig, two more rigs made up of 6 x R9 390's in each rig and one more rig made up of 6 x RX 480's.  I've been going on approximately 5 to 6 hours sleep each day for the past 4 days.

It's more important for me at the moment to get all the rigs going first before I begin trouble shooting technical issues.  I will get back with you on the API Report after I've set up the remaining rigs.

Cheers,

David

Hi Everyone,

I'm curious if anyone has ran across the following when GPU mining with RX 480's with Awesome Miner:

All of my R9 Fury rigs and R9 380 rigs have no problem displaying the GPU temps, hash rate, etc...  You will notice in the following image link that I have Rig #17 highlighted in grey up top and in the window at the bottom you see each GPU with their Fan speed percentage, Temperature, etc... Which see:

[Screen Shot 2016-08-21 at 7.08.58 AM (3).png](https://postimg.org/image/5ntc1y0o3/)

In this next screen shot, you will see I have Rig #14 high lighted.  Yet, it does not display the temperature of Rig #14 in the top window like the other Rigs and it does not display the GPU's in the bottom window with their fan speed, hash rate, temperature, etc... Which see:

[Screen Shot 2016-08-21 at 7.20.56 AM (3).png](https://postimg.org/image/tkcpgb9lx/)

Rig 14 is a rig made up of 6 x RX 480's.  I have two more rigs of RX 480's I'm in the process of putting together.  I'm just wondering if there is something I'm doing wrong that is keeping the temps from posting in Awesome miner as well as keeping the GPU's from being listed in Awesome miner?

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT:  I have been up the entire night.  It is now 7:27am CST.  I may be sleeping when someone answers this post.  Please be patient for me wake up later to view any replies to my post.

Thanks in advance...

David
812  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: August 16, 2016, 07:32:49 AM
Those prices are stupid. After all this waiting I think I'm going to invest my 6 grand in something else. Such a disappointment...

Agreed that the prices are too high.  It also looks like they are pushing people to buy the lower hashrate unit for whatever reason.  The lower hashrate one is 4.8Th/BTC while the higher hashrate one is 4Th/BTC.  That's a large difference in terms of which is more economical.

EDIT: I guess I should say though that I prefer the prices being too high to being too low.  The price drop on the S7's was faster than the earnings from mining so that later buyers were rewarded for not buying earlier.  I am actually glad to not see that happening with the S9's so far.

They are pushing the lower hash rate units to the end users because Bitmain is filling their farm with the good full hash rate units and also taking the full hash rate models and shipping them to their large customers .... We the little miners, we get the scraps... the QC failed units.

I'm pretty much done mining BTC with the S7's till I get solar panels... till then, I'm cranking up GPU mining on Ethereum and Dash

I still have four batch 5/S7's to save for mining with solar as well.  Especially, if and/or when bitcoin goes to the moon in price.  They are currently protected inside their box I received them in.

Bitmain have been pieces of shit since the S4 fiascos in my books.

Bitcoin home mining is dead not because of power requirements or other such bullshit, it's dead because of the ASIC monopoly. Very, very sad.

Yes, totally agree!  It is a sad time for bitcoin and bitcoin mining at present.  Something needs to be done about this monopoly for sure.

Yes, that's why I am now rewarding myself by NOT buying S9 earlier and maybe later as well.
It feels good so far.
Comparing S9 (11.85 Th) to S7, S9 is worth maybe $1000 or even less ($900) with 4% difficulty increment.

Totally agree!  The only people who should purchase at this time are those with FREE electricity.  Even then, it can take a long time to ROI.

Bitmain, is simply selling all of their used S7's in their farms to replace with S9's.  The majority of S9's manufacturered are flowing into their own farms.  Which is fine... it's their device.  They can do whatever they want to do with it.  I'm happy I sold all of my S7's at the end of February and beginning of March at an average of $810 each.

I'm one of those who had to learn the hard way about buying ASIC's from manufacturers.  It's not worth it unless your power costs are next to nothing.  Even then, it's a gamble because you have no idea what Bitmain or other manufacturers will add to the network hash rate.

Also, the support has been terrible lately.  That too is a gamble in itself.  You fork out tons of money on a rig(s) in the hope they do not deny your request if needed for repair or replacement by HONORING their warranty.

EDIT:  If you absolutely must order the S9, it's not worth the risk unless you order from Yoshi in the USA.  PERIOD...  You will pay more for it but it's worth it for the peace of mind.
815  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: August 13, 2016, 04:27:33 AM
My S7 F1 were in a hosting facility and never got my hands on them. Apparently my version of the daughter board have ONLY ONE fan connector. This sucks big time, i bought a few fans and plate to upgrade them with two fans.

@Bitmain any solution about this disaster ?

Thanks

EDIT: I couldn't find any picture of that daughter board with only one connector. I saw picture with two connectors.

Good luck with that.  I've been rather disappointed lately with the so called support of Bitmain.  That's why I gave up and never bothered purchasing the S9.  I'm hearing horror stories about the lack of support with the S9 as well.

Anyone who purchases an S7 now should not do so in my opinion unless you have FREE power.  It's quite obvious Bitmain is selling all of the S7's in their farms and replacing them with S9's.  It's only a matter of time before the S7 is obsolete.

I used to be a BIG fan of Bitmain.  I refuse to support them any longer with their endeavors to take advantage of people.

EDIT:  Look at the network hash rate on bitcoin wisdom.  You see a lot of S7's going off line at Bitmain farms and the difficulty going down.  S9's are being added to their farms now.  Hence, the difficulty rising again.

Good info. may be why I could get the 16x - 8x slots working but not the 1x.  Would be nice to fill the rig beyond 4 cards.  Thanks..  will give it a try.

You're welcome.  I believe it's the same for you as well with only 4 cards.  Switching it to x8/x4/x4 should get the job done.  I would not have known either without a good friend of mine providing the info.

EDIT:  Not sure of what mobo you have.  Don't forget to "save" the settings after you change them before exiting out of it.
817  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 06, 2016, 09:08:27 PM
I think this would slow down the process of being able to sell bitcoin on their platform, as well as the ability to to debit customers' losses when they have leveraged losses.

The problem with BitGo is that they signed transactions that they should not have signed. I speculate that BitGo was signing transactions they believed to be "internal transfers" between bitfinex accounts, which I suspect are not subject to the limits that bitfinex set, although this is speculation.

I wasn't referring to trades.  I was referring to withdrawals.  Finex said everyone on their exchange had a BitGo account.  If this is true, Finex, did not use commonsense as I had previously mentioned in terms of withdrawals.

However, you make a great point.  If this was done in a way to make it appear as there were trades and simply transfer to settle trades between accounts, that's an entirely different issue to contend with.
818  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 06, 2016, 08:56:18 PM
So customers can take losses like an investor of bitfinex (even though they are just customers) but can't benefit from corporate profits of bitfinex.

Apparently...
819  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 06, 2016, 08:43:59 PM
Are you talking about a decentralized exchange?

What it all boils down to..... it's basically impossible to find the liquidity that high volume/high frequency traders need outside of centralized exchanges. It's an unfortunate state of affairs, and one that I'm losing money over (for the first time). I wonder what things may look like in 5-10 years.

You and me both are taking a hit.  My first time as well.  At 36.067% I'm looking at losses of approximately $10,116.66.

I agree about the high volume/high frequency trading.  That's why I had part of my funds on BitFinex.
820  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 06, 2016, 08:15:01 PM
Too little, too late for BitGo. They are done after this. A bitcoin security firm cannot recover from co-signing 120k BTC in fraudulent transactions -- automatically and instantly. Their reputation is completely ruined, and if it were a serious comment (LOL), I would say, stay as far away from that company as you can. Because it will hurt your reputation, too.

I'm staying away from them as well.  Hardware wallets are the best way to go in terms of storing bitcoins.  However, this was an exchange.  BlockNet [And similar exchanges], appear to be the way to go in the future for trading.  It's currently in beta.
