No worry

Okay so I need to retract my statement because I am doing so bad this week. I am now one of the candidate for the next wooden spoon, along with 5 others that still has 0 points for now lol. This is probably my worst week so far

I was so close to get the exact score prediction for Liverpool vs Tottenham but the last minute goal ruined it for me. Unless Aston Villa and Manchester United ended winning tomorrow, I might have 0 points for this round. Dang there goes my 2nd position and bigger points gap to get the 1st position

I'm the opposite this week and am gunning for the yellow cap with three correct scores yesterday. Only two games left this round and swogerino is above me by only 0.5 points. Man United should easily win tonight but the question is by how much? They should slaughter them as Sheffield have only one point from all season but I still don't have faith in United so I'm not sure if they will win by a big margin, even though they should. Will be interesting to watch either way. If United don't get the full three points from this Ollie will be on slippery ground again. Villa/Burnley is hard to call. Home win or draw I have to deicide between.

Strange enough I saw a yelllow cap next to my name in the Superbru app.Does that mean that so far I have the most point scored as I saw 3 exact and 1 close from the 8 games played. If that’s the case I am hopeful that I will continue to get it even after the two games of today as I don’t predict any surprise tonight,I see an Aston Villa and Manchester United win.

You're top right now by half a point but they don't normally assign yellow caps until the round is complete. Mole still has it from my view.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 16, 2020, 08:14:23 PM
But it seems in the Wolves vs Chelsea match we will see another mole0815 magic. I have 1 - 2 for Chelsea and only few minutes left.
Nice try to have a penalty from Neto LOL
And Wolves scores on 95 minute and wins the game. I'm a bit surprised that just few users backed them to win tonight.

That last minute goal robbed me of 3 points. Really surprised someone went with the draw on the City game and that they also got the correct score. I expected a thumping and was one of only two people to go with a 5-0 scoreline.

I thought this was interesting -

Due to certain areas in the UK having higher infection rates than others, only 4 teams are allowed fans in stadiums (areas where infection rates are low).

Only 2,000 fans though & no, I didn’t get a ticket for the Spurs game tomo 😫

What's the point only allowing four clubs. Only can possibly give them an unfair advantage, but at only 2000 fans allowed back I doubt it would make a difference but at the same time with so few fans allowed back why even bother, especially when it's not going to be fair.

Leeds were looking shaky towards the end and I thought they were going to blow it and lose but ended up getting two late goals and winning. I'm starting to think Arteta might be the first coached sacked. Or maybe Ollie if they lose their next game to Sheffield (who still only have one point) and then Leeds on Sunday.

Gone for a narrow Liverpool win on the game now. Was temped by a 1-1 draw but maybe they'll have a slight advantage with the fans being back at Anfield.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev - JOSHUA WINS IN ROUND 9 on: December 14, 2020, 05:47:34 PM

Again, still boils down to the arbitration, if the mediator see that and mandated a Fury vs Wilder first, then Joshua vs Fury might wait for a bit. (Fury needs to win against Wilder though).
Promoters should understand that there is huge money and interest that will generate if the Joshua - Fury happens than the Fury Wilder 3, fans especially the British people wants to see who is the greatest British heavyweight boxer and probably the greatest boxer of this generation, so much is at stake on this fight, then the Fury Wilder trilogy.

If the Wilder trilogy fight doesn't happen before the AJ one then it almost certainly won't happen at all. Fury doesn't want to fight him again and will likely only do so if he's forced to by the courts. His camp argues that the contract is null and void because it expired but Wilder's Camp are claiming it's still valid because of covid meant they couldn't schedule it in time. Now the arbitration courts will have to decide who is in the wrong/right. It's a tricky situation because of covid and whilst Fury is probably in the right as the timeframe to get it done has certainly elapsed the pandemic is an exceptional circumstance so he might still be due it. Personally I think he should do the trilogy fight then move on to AJ later in the year. The AJ fights probably wont go on until they can have full capacity with fans and that might be a while anyway. AJ also might not want to fight straight away.

Let us not forget it took Joshua 9 rounds to defeat Pulev and he managed to knock him out in the final few seconds of that round. If Pulev managed to stand up the referee would have allowed the fight to continue which means at very earliest Joshua could have won was the 10th.

On current form he would struggle against Wilder and have no chance against Fury.

He's been out of the ring for a while so there's the ring rust as they say, but he probably could have taken Pulev down a lot earlier. I'm not sure why he didn't to be honest.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 14, 2020, 05:17:24 PM
UFC 265 Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno

Was an insane main event both fighters have done their all, and I was really surprised at Moreno holding on and both fighters were really equal and in my opinion, if it wasn't for the deduct points on Figueiredo, He might have won this fight but still, I think both men are winners for an amazing performance, and let's move on to the next match.

UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Neal

UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada
December 19, 2020

MAIN CARD

Stephen Thompson   vs.   Geoff Neal
José Aldo   vs.   Marlon Vera
Michel Pereira   vs.   Khaos Williams
Marlon Moraes   vs.   Rob Font
Marcin Tybura   vs.   Greg Hardy
Anthony Pettis   vs.   Alex Morono

This is the one I'm looking forward to the most. Looks like Michel Pereira has been bumped up to the main card from the preliminaries which is good news as he always puts on a great show. Can't believe he was on the undercard especially as he won performance of the night in his last fight in September. Even if he's not the best fighter he always entertains. I wonder if he's only been bumped because the Leon Edwards V Khamzat Chimaev fight got called off.

Charles Oliveira surprised me by completely dominating Tony Ferguson, i thought he could have stopped Tony Ferguson in the first round if there was a few seconds more as the armbar was nasty.
Super nasty to be honest, the armbar seems so perfect. That's why I'm wondering how did Ferguson survived it, maybe because of pride? Well, Ferguson is the type of guy blah blah blah jk Grin.

I think he might have just been holding on for the bell which he new was coming so he had about 8 seconds to bare it. Had that not been coming I'm sure he would have tapped... or his arm snapped. One or the other  Cheesy.
805  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I found my picture on here and want it removed from an ico on: December 14, 2020, 04:37:32 PM
Have they genuinely used your picture without permission or is it an ICO you no longer want to be affiliated with for whatever reason?
What kind of question you asking mate?, OP clearly said he's not affiliated with the ICO, so YES, they like genuinely used his picture and LinkedIn profile without he's permission, that ICO is clearly a scam one looking for persons to put on trouble.

Have you ever thought he possibly could by lying and is trying to sever ties with something that went south?

He's wanting the image removed from COINHEALTH.IO here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2629209.msg26754780#msg26754780

If you go back to his early posts he made an Announcement for something called CareParrot here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4862168.msg43817291#msg43817291

Which he edited to remove all the info on December the 9th this year:

.

If you google them it looks like both COINHEALTH.IO and careparrot are related:

Quote
Conferenced in was Co-founder of CoinHealth, Joseph Lowe CEO of careparrot.com. Joseph Lowe and Michael Ryan have been talking about the past month and a half, about the CoinHealth project’s strategic direction and partnerships. We are excited to welcome Joseph Lowe. Sure, they could have used his info without his permission or he's trying to cover his tracks but that should be clarified first before anything is removed. If he's innocent then his images probably should be removed, but not if he's involved and is just trying to scrape the info of a scam he was involved in.
806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 14, 2020, 03:30:46 PM
Didn't watch any of the games but what happened to Liverpool and Spurs getting draws?

What a result Grin

As you can see, my tips were (once again) exactly the opposite of the majority of you. This time I had the luck on my side.
Too bad that tomorrow it goes on again with the next game day because the yellow cap I would have worn like longer Grin

Is there a special prize for the winner of the day? Watford shirt, 50 USD credit? We've had a few issues like that, haven't we?
Sorry but I had not dealt with it because I did not think to ever be affected Grin

//edit: Have already received the message from Steve. Question is therefore deleted. Thank you!

Quite impressive for this round. Don't think I've seen a gap that big for the yellow cap before. It's usually only a few points that separates them. I guess it was getting both 1-1 draws right that gave you a big boost as not many people went for the draws. Up 23 places in one round shows yet again that it's not over for anyone as you can climb the table very quickly with a couple of good rounds.

Don't forget that there's midweek games this week starting tomorrow. The Christmas/new year period is always crammed with games so make sure not to miss them. Liverpool - Tottenham are playing on Wednesday and will probably be fighting it out for first place. Hard to call that one. I think there'll either be a load of goals and drama, or a boring 0-0-0-0 or something  Cheesy
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 12, 2020, 01:58:36 PM
Manchester derby is the game to watch today. Really hard match to predict for me. City are obviously the stronger team, but Man United have the home advantage, though how much does that matter with no fans now? Not to mention they've been very inconsistent lately either playing really good or shit. I want to back the away win but I might go for the draw as I don't have that much faith in them. I don't think United will win though but you never no with them.

I only saw the last 10-15 minutes of the match so I had no idea West Ham had a saved penalty retaken, A question though, If the penalty had been scored initially do they bother  to check if the keeper had come off his line even if so slightly ? I wonder how convenient it would be for keeper to be thinking of howto properly dive to saved a penalty as well be cautious of remaining of that tiny line  Roll Eyes

No. If they score then it's a goal no matter what the keeper does. Think of it like if a player is fouled but he somehow manages to score the goal wouldn't be cancelled and the free kick given. It's just like playing advantage I guess. Keepers really need to learn to not come off their line. I don't think it's a big deal though but obviously VAR is making sure rules are followed to the T.
808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: December 11, 2020, 11:14:53 PM
Joshua was not expecting Pulev to be so aggressive at the weight-in.

Call it bravado or showmanship or anything else but Pulev was absolutely taunting Joshua because he wanted to make him nervous.

Obviously the smart thinking is that Joshua will win but Pulev looks like he means business and thinks he will win the fight tomorrow !

Obviously he's not going to say that he thinks he might lose or that he's doubting himself  Grin. It's just mind-games that most fighters try do to either get in their opponents head or try sell the fight with drama, but if you actually listen to what they were saying in the close-up the media was blowing it out of proportion. They were actually being quite respectful and they were even fist-bumping (though rather aggressively I might ad): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0L1gu4ZcHeI

I'll be watching the fight tomorrow anyway especially since it's on at a reasonable time being held in the UK. I think AJ should win, but his loss to the chubby Mexican is making me cast doubt. Pulev has a similar record to AJ with only one loss so I wouldn't overlook a win from him.
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 11, 2020, 11:05:23 PM

I am watching Leeds vs West Ham. Leeds are losing every-time when they are near the post. They need to shot near the posts more often than aiming the keeper LOL
West Ham was furious before leveling the score.

This match is still unpredictable. We may see a draw too but a 2 - 1 win for Leeds will be sweet for me and some others in the pool. A lot of us picked 2 - 1 today.

I went for a 1-0 Leeds win but I was very tempted to go with 1-1. Looks like six players missed out on their prediction for this match tonight. Leeds played really well in the first half and I think they would have deserved a draw at least but West Ham were the better team in the second. Good Old VAR cancelling out the saved penalty because the keeper moved slightly off his line. Most penalties that are saved these days will probably have to be retaken with VAR spotting everything so keepers are really going to have to practice staying put to avoid this as most players aren't going to miss the second attempt.

810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: December 10, 2020, 11:26:37 AM
I like Pulev, but I want Anthony Joshua to win.

Then finaly we will be able to watch Anthony Joshua - Tyson Fury, where I'm sure that the Gypsy King will beat the s**t out of Joshua and all belts will be united.

Depends on the Wilder arbitration decision which I haven't heard anything about in weeks. Either way I'm sure we won't see a fight between those two anytime soon as both parties will probably quibble over everything and drag it out trying to get the best deals from themselves, and there's still the issue of spectators not being allowed in fully so I'm sure the fight won't go ahead unless they can pack out a stadium as it will easily sell out the largest of venues in the UK. I think it's safe to say it will be the biggest British boxing fight ever so they're going to want to maximise revenues from it.

Shame Fury has said he won't be in attendance for the AJ fight. It would have been interesting to get them face to face for an interview from Fury about what's going on with the fight and potential Wilder rematch.

811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: December 10, 2020, 11:16:22 AM
Lol wooden spoon this week for me (though was technically joint with trofo). Bit weird how those that don't make any picks and get zero don't get it.

How the hell did Man United get a penalty given even after a VAR check in the game on Tuesday? At first it did actually look like a penalty and a correct decision by the ref but with the VAR replays it was quite clear that the United player knocked them both down with a shoulder barge. Some shenanigans seemed to be going on there to try give Man United a lifeline: https://youtu.be/VqbNzV8OVPA?t=299

WTF happens on PSG vs. Istanbul Basaksehir, it's interrupted. Both teams left the field because of racism by the referee. I can not believe that this is happening on such a high level.
https://twitter.com/TheSportsman/status/1336409272515760128?s=20

From what I saw from the footage the player was complaining that the fourth official referred to him (or someone else) as "the black player", which if that was it then it's obviously silly, unless he takes issue with the Black in Black Lives Matter too:

I saw some people mention that they're might have been some confusion over whether the assistant might have said 'negru' which is apparently 'black' in Romanian which he might have misunderstood and taken offense to.
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 08, 2020, 08:58:59 PM
Another perfect score lost with the late-ish goal yesterday. It seemed lots of people went for 1-1 and 1-2 on last nights game and the latter came in stealing the three points from all us 1-1ers  Grin. Manchester derby this Saturday. It's at Old Trafford so United have the slight advantage there but they're still the weaker team so probably will go for a draw. United are currently 2-0 down in the CL at half time. Maybe they'll have a bad streak now. I can't see them beating City though. Not sure if fans are allowed back or not yet in Manchester so don't know how much home advantage they'll have.

Congrats for the yellow hat jayce, awesome score. I can’t be bothered to check right now but I think that’s the highest scoring week any of the guys in our pool has achieved this season so far.

Yeah, it is, but just by one point:

Congrats @LFC_Bitcoin, you got the Yellow Cap this week, in one of the most unpredictable weeks so far this season

813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III CANCELLED !!! on: December 08, 2020, 07:08:02 PM
Well the fight is obviously not taking place unless some sort of legal judgement forces Fury to enter the ring with Wilder for the trilogy because according to Fury the time period that the third fight was supposed to be agreed within has elapsed but if it were to go ahead the overwhelming favourite according to those in this forum that voted (80%) are saying that Fury would win.

Here is a piece in the bbc sports website in which Fury makes it clear he will not give Wilder the time of day again: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/54914264

Why have you decided it's off? He might not want to fight him again and maybe considers the case closed and personally moved on but he might not have a choice depending on what the arbitration judge decides. If they rule in favour of Wilder and Fury declines then he could be stripped of his belt, which I'm sure he's not going to let the belts go.

https://www.badlefthook.com/2020/11/18/21572925/fury-vs-wilder-3-could-still-be-coming-2021-boxing-news-2020

Quote
Tyson Fury was looking to fight again on Dec. 5, likely against Agit Kabayel, but with Deontay Wilder forcing arbitration over a rematch clause, that idea is off, and Fury won’t return until next year.

Co-promoter Frank Warren confirms to ESPN that Fury is looking to fight again early in 2021, and that it may indeed have to be against Wilder:

“Hopefully Tyson will fight again in the first quarter of 2021, and we don’t know yet if it will be against Wilder because of the arbitrary situation, we’re still waiting on the outcome of that. ... An arbitration judge will decide it. We say it [the rematch clause] is at an end, Wilder says it can be extended. If the judge rules that Wilder is right, then that’s what he [Fury] has to do. They will give us a decision soon, but we don’t know when.”

I've no idea what's going on with the court case though as there's been no word of it publicly in weeks. It's up to them at the end of the day unless Fury's camp appeals but he'd be stupid not to just take it. It'll be the biggest payday he'll be able to get outside of the AJ fights and that probably won't be happening for a while as AJ is fighting this weekend and if he loses then they'll be a rematch for that as well.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: December 08, 2020, 07:00:02 PM
Don't forget tonight's games. Two have already kicked off and looks like two players missed them. Was gonna watch the Barca/Juve games but annoyingly it's not on the German Dazn as apparently the German Amazon have first pick of one Champion's League game per round and of course they chose that one (why wouldn't they?). Gone for a draw on that game as it's hard to split. Will probably watch the Real/Borussia game tomorrow as Real are fighting to go through after fucking up against Shakhtar. Probably go for a draw on that one too but maybe Real should win it.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 05, 2020, 12:34:54 PM
The only way to stop tomahawk now is for him to take a few more risks to widen that lead but good for him, I need to start following his actual betting too, do you bet a lot as well tomahawk?

Dude, it’s way too early to be declaring tomahawk the winner yet. Last season I was in 1st place near Christmas but I came about 10th by the end of the season.

Plenty of points to play for amigo Wink

Yeah, the table will probably look completely different by the end of the season to what it is now. There's only 21 points between tomahawk in first place and hahay/hoody hoo right down in join 20th and 21st place. I think I got 21 points in one round last season so the table can get shaken up quite quickly.

Anyway what do you guys think of Burnley double chance at 1.89?  Good look?  Everton historically has a hard time vs them away.

Hard game to predict. Everton were on fire at the beginning of the season but then they went and lost three in a row, won one then lost to Leeds last week who have been a bit  shaky recently. I'm not going with the Burnley win but I could see a draw maybe. I'll probably watch West Ham/Man U and Chelsea/Leeds games today. I expect Chelsea to win, though hope they don't, and who knows what will go on in the West Ham game but I've gone for the draw on that one. Man U should win, but I don't trust them especially away and losing to PSG at home earlier this week. I know West Ham are no PSG but Manchester seem to go through a phase of winning a few then bottling it again and then when you think Ollie's head is on the chopping board they go and turn it around again.
816  Other / Meta / Re: Forum advertising DeFi totally-not-scams on: December 04, 2020, 10:12:23 AM
I still think you should consider putting a more prominent banner advert at the top of a couple of the more popular sub boards, especially the Gambling Section. It's seemingly mostly gambling sites that bid on the auctions anyway and it's usually from reputable casinos so there's not much issue with them. I'm sure that banner would attract a premium price as many casinos seem to quite obviously want to target their audience there (and we see this with their signature campaigns where they often require x amount if posts in the gambling section or pay more for ones in there). You could even maybe sell it for a fixed price or issue them for longer periods of time like monthly, quarterly or bi-annually or something so you didn't have to waste too much time on them.

Yeah, the forum is definitely under-monetized; wouldn't hurt to have at least a single banner at the bottom of a page, feels less intrusive than at the top.

I think people would miss that one as well. The reason I suggest top is it's far more prominent at the top and will probably be the first thing you see. Theymos seems to be fairly against more advertising though, but I think a banner ad at the top would be less intrusive or annoying than signatures which the forum receives nothing monetarily from. Donator ranks would still be a good idea though.

A lot of the time the ad slots do go for quite cheap, but the slot isn't very prominent in my opinion, hence why most probably prefer signature campaigns. I've actually even had numerous people over the years enquire why we don't have ads. They probably just blend in as another signature to most.

I've had numerous people ask me how to advertise on bitcointalk at all in the first place. Four clicks are required before a user finds themselves on the topic of the current ad slot auction, and that's if they know where to look in the first place.

Yeah, same. Auctions is probably one of the last places someone would go to. I know a few of us have received requests to buy sticked threads/promoted posts as well.

I've had numerous people ask me how to advertise on bitcointalk at all in the first place. Four clicks are required before a user finds themselves on the topic of the current ad slot auction, and that's if they know where to look in the first place.

The link ("Advertise here") is right there under the banner, which is a logical place for it. So one click away if you're already in a thread, or two clicks if you're on the main page and need to click a thread first.

Well, that's if they even spot that in the first place.

But whether the forum could use more banners is another story... I would imagine more users would start using the "Disable ads" option so it might defeat the purpose.

Well you can already turn signatures off and they're still very popular. If someone wants to get rid of ads they'll probably find a way with an ad blocker or something and many people do use them and yet the internet is still full of adverts. If people are still paying for signatures or ads it doesn't really matter how many people may or may not be blocking them at the end of the day.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: December 03, 2020, 01:14:15 PM
In fact, Lampard and his students did good performance with the counter attack when must play in the home stadium of Sevilla. Especially, Giroud had extremely impressive performance with Poker. I see when he switched to play for Chelsea, his playstyle is much softer than before.  He was not only play well with head but also he uses his legs very well. Congratulate the first position for Chelsea.

Giroud 8', 54', 74', 83' (p)

What strikes me is how Chelsea might be letting Giroud go so easily in January's transfer window. They definitely need him to stay, and if he wasn't playing in this match, it definitely would've ended 0-0. That is not the kind of result Chelsea wants to have especially when facing their just-as-strong rival teams back home in the Premier League.

He said he would leave if they don't let him play more, and I think Chelsea should give in because they clearly need him for the Champions League games ahead of them.

Griroud is always underused and it's criminal that he doesn't get first team play. I thought when he left Arsenal that would change but he's always benched at Chelsea as well. I think he should go to a squad that is going to give him a first team place but I think it will be the same issue whatever big club he goes to and I'm sure that will be the case if he goes to either Juve or Inter Millan who are reportedly after him:

Quote
ITALIAN JOB Juventus join Inter Milan in Olivier Giroud transfer battle as they eye four players including Chelsea team-mate Emerson

I don't understand how they don't play him over Ziyech and Tammy Abraham. They brought him on only for the last ten minutes against the bore draw 0-0 against Spurs last weekend.

I'm lookign forarwd to the Chelsea/Leeds game on the weekend. Hopefully Leeds don't get spanked. I'm sure they will if Giroud starts  Cheesy.

Has the Khabib press conference happened yet? It seems that it was planned for today but can't see any confirmation of that and there's nothing on his Instagram. Hoping there's more than just the announcement of his MMA company he's apparently just bought.

So Khabib's conference happened later in the day, but disappointingly it seemed mostly about prmotiong his MMA company he's bought and trying to get MMA into the Olympics for 2028. He did say "anything can happen" in response to a question about Connor McGregor but I'm not sure whether he was sending out a dig towards the UFC referring to them being able to stoke up tension and controversy or them being able to make any fight happen. I'm not sure he would want to sour terms with Dana and the UFC though especially if he's looking to go into business with them and the UFC Pass to stream his promotions cards. That would be vital in getting his brand out there and will surely lead to rapid growth.

Quote
Fans of the sport will be aware that there’s no love lost between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Following their ugly run in before UFC 223 in Brooklyn and after their fight at UFC 229, things aren’t the same. Khabib certainly wasn’t too concerned about the fall-out from running into the Irishman. Despite the bad blood between the two, Khabib seemed nonchalant about a run-in.

He said, “Why should I worry about that? It depends on the situation. I have no plans to do something if I see a certain someone. I can bump into someone here.”
“Anything can happen”- ‘The Eagle’

Additionally, Nurmagomedov was quick to jump in on the reporter’s theory that the UFC might try an engineer an encounter. ‘The Eagle’ subscribed to the aforementioned theory and claimed that the UFC was indeed capable of such a thing.

He added, “Now that’s a serious question! Maybe. They’re good at making that happen. Anything can happen. It can happen in Moscow, Abu Dhabi, New York. They can make that happen, believe me that’s their specialty"

Wish I could take the test, I feel like it's impossible I didn't catch it already!

I would not like to take the test, what do you want that?
and more, regarding tests for players, they maybe do not have tough symptoms, but could infect other players, that could have tougher symptoms, so I would certainly put them in quarantine, no matter the symptoms status

it is more important to fight the virus, than having championship playing, and everyone should respect that

Well that's why they have to wait it out as they could pass it on to others even if they're asymptomatic, but my issue is what happens if they're having to sit it out even though they aren't actually positive and have just got a false positive from a dodgy test. The test could just be picking up something else or just be wholly inaccurate. I don't think I've heard of a football player getting very ill from it anyway. At best I think a couple have had mild flu symptoms like Salah: https://www.goal.com/en/news/liverpool-star-salah-has-mild-coronavirus-symptoms-confirms/1cx37j6iy5xq01pnnlghfttpcf

Fans are apparently going to be allowed back in the stadiums from the midweek games but it seems bullshit that the parts of the country that are in tier 3 lockdowns wont be allowed which gives an unfair advantage to other teams. They either should all be allowed back or not at all. It's going to be limited capacity anyway and they're out in the open. You've got just as much chance to catch or spread it at the park or walking about in the street, not to mention at your place of work where people are still allowed to go regardless of their tier they're in. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55139826

The lowest yellow cap of the season so far but hey, they all count. I’ve already got my predictions in, hoping to do even better this weekend.

It was still quite an achievement considering the unexpected results.

You've been very generous handing out coin before - why not hire a professional to evaluate the ads?

Phore only paid about $500 for this ad. It wouldn't make economic sense, especially since many advertisers would have to be checked for every one ad that is accepted, wins slots in the auction, and ends up paying. By memory, I'd guess that in the last 3 years there's been only 2 or 3 ads pulled after acceptance due to something I missed. Bitcointalk.org ads are far more high-quality than eg. AdSense ads are. If even this low level of risk became unacceptable, then it'd make more sense to just not sell ads. (Not selling ads is something that I've considered, since it's a lot of trouble for not really that much return, but without ads the forum's cashflow would currently be way too far in the negative.

I'm sure you can find someone on staff who would be willing to verify adverts. As I've said before, I don't think we should get rid of as slots completely. At the worst measure you could just refuse bids from any companies that you're possibly unsure of or are even remotely questionable, but this would still seem extreme to me.

I'd have to come up with an additional source of revenue first.

I think you should strongly consider more donator ranks with some perks (Silver and Gold Memberships etc). I think they'd be very popular and would be a good source of income for the forum.

Phore only paid about $500 for this ad.

Come to think of it - that's probably cheaper than those useless press releases you'll find on PR Newswire and whatnot.

A lot of the time the ad slots do go for quite cheap, but the slot isn't very prominent in my opinion, hence why most probably prefer signature campaigns. I've actually even had numerous people over the years enquire why we don't have ads. They probably just blend in as another signature to most.
