801  Economy / Goods / WTS: Studio Electronics Omega 8 - Rare Analog Synthesizer on: November 14, 2013, 09:18:31 PM
Im looking to sell my Studio Electronics Omega 8, you dont see these up for sale very often. Amazing analog synth. Mint condition.

If you are a keyboard/synth guy you know what these are: http://www.studioelectronics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SE&Product_Code=OM8

Asking for 10BTC, and I can do an in person trade here in NYC or talk via skype. I know some posters on here like FreeMoney and Micon who could probably vouch for me. Im not in a rush to sell, so please no lowball offers.

804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will You Sell when BTC Hits $1,000? on: November 13, 2013, 09:51:10 PM
I voted no and Im happy to see the "holds" are leading the "cashouts" at a 4-1 ratio, that bodes well IMO
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: If whales were to prematurely dump 500000 btc right now, where would support be? on: November 13, 2013, 09:45:58 PM
I know some of you think the coins have shifted hands and there are no longer any such whales or none that are willing to ever dump. I also know that in the past the whales wait for higher ATHs and for support to grow before dumping.

However, for purposes of discussion, let's say they went completely out of phase and surprised us by starting to dump 500,000 btc right now. Where would support be? Where would the bulls really dig their war trenches in?

Based on the walls I think about $150.

$50-100 there would be a ton of buyers, but I will get back in line to buy if we dip below $200 and buy all the way down to $.02
806  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not sell bitcoins for fiat unless you really need to on: November 13, 2013, 09:42:48 PM
Yeah I actually have more LTC in $USD than BTC, mostly because I bought a ton when it was pennies. People think BTC's rise has been meteoric in 2013, they should look at what LTC sold for back in Jan/Feb  Grin

I think there is space for more than one coin, but until Netcoin launches I wont get involved in anything else.
807  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's getting frothy, and I'm dumping 75% of my coins on: November 13, 2013, 09:35:18 PM
Cant lie Im rooting for a huge correction so I can scoop up some cheap coins, moving around half my fiat holdings over.

Which is weird, because I want BTC to explode and succeed but Im also selfish, because Im a human being and this is a once in a generation opportunity.
808  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's getting frothy, and I'm dumping 75% of my coins on: November 13, 2013, 09:14:40 PM
Left holding "the bag"? Sir, USD is the bag, Bitcoin is the prize.

This is what a lot of people in this thread dont understand. They are saying BTC price isnt sustainable.

How about the $100M the US treasury issues every hour? Think about that. Just think about how much $100M is, and how long 1 hour is.

Yes, the USD might be the prettiest horse in the glue factory, but its still a horse is a glue factory. Simple as that people.

Have you ever tried mining before? Because asking a question about using a case (lol) makes it seem like no.

Before you drop $3k, Id try a much smaller scale system, like a 2x7950.

And yes, motherboard matters... a lot... most motherboards wont fit 4x7990 - and you wouldnt want it to.

The cards would be far too hot so close together, thats why you use PCI-E extenders and NO CASE (lol).

We can do it over 2 or more payments, and Im willing to talk on the phone if you want to confirm that Im not some shady character.

Im pretty well known on Seals with Clubs and the TwoPlusTwo poker forums.

Ive done a few transactions for GPUs on here, and a few bets like this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=207379.0

Thanks

Make me offers. Cash/BTC local sale in NYC or BTC escrow is OK. They hash at 301gh/s.

Will sell individually or all 5. If you have free or cheap power these will be great for you.

Reasonable offers, Im not hard up for cash, they are just too loud for me, and use a lot of my limited 20amp breaker for my room.

Id prefer this to ebay.

818  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Has anyone had a fire in his rigs? on: August 10, 2013, 12:34:02 AM
I was sitting there one day a couple weeks ago, Just put in new cards in my system. Was mining and playing CSS and some nice blue flames came from my case, pc shut down and started right back up. Ran fine for a couple weeks and died.

LOL @ firing it back up after blue flames shoot out. "Its probably fine..."  Grin

Ive had a power supply cable melt before. Pretty scary stuff, I dont like to think about what wouldve happened if I wasnt home...

820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Missing bag in NYC has all kinds of bitcoin :( on: August 05, 2013, 12:06:01 AM
Dude, you put down your bag, containing valuables, and walked away on the streets of NYC? Really?

I mean, I guess I dont know where you are from but as a native I have to say, this was not a well planned action.

The city is a lot safer than it once was but still, in this economy petty thefts are WAY up here.
