Yeap, imho Ryder showed more heart in this fight than Canelo. We saw usual Canelo, everything was expected from him. Ryder did a really great fight. A lot of people did not trust in him, he was a huge underdog and many predicted early stoppage. However the fight went full distance. Even despite huge dominance on score cards, I liked how Ryder showed himself in that fight. Ryder even managed to take few rounds.
I just wander what Canelo is going to do next. Another victory among middleweights. Another predicted victory. Are there any fighters left who havent lost to Canelo? I see only one way for Canelo - to try again to fight in light heavyweight.
I expected a knockout win for Canelo to somehow impress his fans after his loss to Bivol but that didn't happen because like you said, Ryder showed up into the fight prepared for whatever Canelo brings into the table but just wasn't enough to get that win as we all know that in order for Ryder to win he must dominate or KO the Mexican. For me, Canelo should fight Benavidez first and if he wins, he can do a rematch with Bivol and enough with those tune-up fights that everyone knows whose gonna win. |

Taking data from 2007/08 season till current data can make very good predictions. The more the data the better the model's predictive scores. But one thing is it will have to require steady update on the trained and test data sets to make sure the model learns from more recent datas.
It won't be a bad idea giving it a try but make sure the model is updated before risking your funds because outcomes in gambling are never static and things changes for various reasons. So the more recent the last value in the data set is the better the prediction and the better the outcome as well.
For me, no amount of data can make a game in the NBA more predictable because if indeed that "data" thing can make us predict the outcome of the game by more than 50 percent, for sure bookies will stop doing their business as they won't be gaining profit anymore. Of the three teams that Gilas will face in the FIBA World Cup '23, it's only Angola that i think we have a slim chance of defeating but that would be an uphill climb. But I'm not expecting anything or the Gilas will be in the second round because the roster of Gilas going into this cup is not so strong coupled with the team's lack of practice together as most of the players in the pool are busy with its individual commitment. A win in the grouping for me is a bonus and if a miracle happens and they landed on the second round that would be a great success and i would consider that winning the cup already hehe. The only thing that people want to see in this FIBA 23 World Cup is how well Jordan Clarkson performs. |

Lol, all that Canelo needs to do is show up in the ring and he already wins? But you've got a point there mate, if this fight will turn out to be a close one, the ref will always raise Canelo's victorious hands as he should not lose in front of his crowd. I've been following Canelo's fight and this dude was never over-confident going into one and he always trains hard whoever opponent thrown in front of him, one of the best attribute a boxer of his caliber must have. I think this would not last nine rounds, so under 9.5 @1.73 might be the one i will be betting. |
