Is this really the R4 2 units bundled together in one case?  Expected a lil more than that.   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=393218.0

Have you got a final price yet?  Today is the 15th.  (mouth watering)  Is there a way to split a 220 plug?  Just have 1 for my dryer and wanted to split off of that when not in use.

Cool... BFL was pretty quiet.  Bitcrane, another overpriced preorder I gather.  Awaiting an S3 review.  Any news on S4?
825  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Buying a Antminer S3 on: July 12, 2014, 02:43:31 AM
Mining now for profit is tough for small miners due to the ever increasing difficulty rate.  You will definitely enjoy mining and the S3 is great for starting.  If you only see profit as fiat in the hundreds with the one miner you'll have to wait for the btc value to go up.  But again the days of small investing and large payouts may be on there way out.  I say get it and enjoy learning, watching payouts hit your wallet.  It really is a fun hobby and potentially a huge investment for the near future.  If your not interested in it for the hobby aspect just buy btc directly, in a few years you'll be glad you did.  If looking for profit buy one now and purchase a second when you can, then a third.  I imagine the heat on the S3 can't be worse than the S1 ( just 2 heated my small house during the winter) and they're not that loud.  Enjoy!

827  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Asic for 1/2 a bitcoin? on: July 10, 2014, 03:11:02 AM
Just check out these other threads.  In the last month at least 4 new small asic miners were released.  Now is a perfect time to get away from Cex.io and enjoy your hobby at home.  The Antminer S3 is just over your btc limit and hashes at about 460gh/s.  BtcGarden released their miner hashing at 310 gh/s and is at your price range.  These miners are about twice as efficient as earlier models.  Rockminer has the r-box which you could buy several to play around with or use for solo mining. Cool thanks for the info.  Now I just need to learn to program, doh! Grin  These seem to be more like an Arduino than a Pi, am I wrong?

Look this is a thread about bitmain tech gear.

Indeed. And we were discussing the S3 price. Someone, i don't remember who, started talking about how the ROI outlook was more optimistic than the calculators indicated because of the great prices they could get on ebay for their old unprofitable gear and about how valuable they were as heaters.

Was that you Phillip ?

you are correct yes it was me that said that.  along with the fact that for some  ebay buyers  an s-3 in October   will work for them as a space heater.

and that they may get it at a further discount if they have ebucks.

So selling them  a piece of gear (in this case an s-3)  that does not roi in btc , but gives them a discount on their heating bill is not an unethical act.

But like I said I am talking about a method of sales for s-3's   that will clearly show the heating discount the machine gives them.

So I am awaiting one to see if the idea can be marketed .  I gave the idea to bitmaintech months ago and told them they were free to run with it.

I am curious to see if the s-3 is what I explained in an older thread.  If it is the s-3 will prove to be far better then most can imagine.
I thought I was the only one who turned the heat off during the winter!  These should run cooler so heat may have to be turned on this year.
830  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: btcgarden-AM-v1 only $1.19/GHs 1.045w/GHs. International selling! on: June 26, 2014, 08:12:15 PM
I have just got my 2 test machines delivered to Germany.
Absolutely happy so far, great email contact, fast shipping, no customs Problems. Could not have gone better.
Took less than 5 minutes from unpacking to running it.
Its doing exactly 310 GH/S so far and ist running surprisingly silent. I will post up a screenhot from the pool after a few hours.

Thanks to Jimmy form BTCGarden for the great support!

Glad to hear that. You are the first oversea customer received our miners. Thank you for your kind feedback.
We will continually dedicate good product and good service to our customers.
Germany is overseas, when did this happen?
signed, ill informed
Thanks for your effort in creating a near silent miner.

Wow really? We have to wait a week.  I'm sure they're waiting to get rid of the S2 orders.  But the concern is they might want to set the price above half of what the S2 currently is just to show off their shiny new toy.  Is it worth it?  Probably not the first round.  But let us hope I'm completely wrong the price in reality should not be over 1.1 btc at most.  Well at least I won't have to monitor the thread every 10 minutes.

Who cares what he makes off of it or not.  He is cordial and does his best to please us.  If you get any discount be thankful or don't buy, duh!
834  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 20, 2014, 03:43:54 AM
Don't think of BTC at it's current value from day to day or month to month, this my padawan is the dark side.  Sure it sucks the value can't buy you  what it did 6 months ago currently but this isn't what it's about.  Just acquire it however, whenever you can without spending fiat you don't have.  The S1 was way overpriced at launch but performed what it needed to.  The S3 will be the same if the price is right at launch.  But either of these miners are short term, say 6 months or less then move on.  ROI can't truly be determined when the future of btc, within the next few years, is expected to reach a price most of us won't be able to buy it at.  Serious Miners won't be looking to buy an S3, just for resale.  But for the majority of us it fits the bill and runs without maintenance.  These will bring you profit, it's just how you view the term.

( insert Wookie Laugh here )  It's interesting the tech being developed but as companies acquire more money hopefully we will have a major leap ahead one of these months.
836  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [INTEREST] CoiningSolutions.com Bitmain AntMiner S3 List on: June 19, 2014, 02:42:54 AM
Now were talking!  Price does need to be under 1 btc but I would be in for 2 if that was the case. Bitmain surprising us again, but I felt they were idiots for not taking up a better S2 deal with you.  The fact is they know this S3 will drive them for the next 6 months like the S1 did.  Fingers crossed awaiting their pricing scheme. Shocked

There not 1th rigs but BtcGarden has units shipping on the 21st and as of yet can't find a US reseller.
838  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: btcgarden-AM-v1 sold out! New coming will be 21st June! on: June 17, 2014, 01:58:15 AM
Why do these look so huge at 310gh/s?  Rk-box 1/2 the size at 450 gh/s, but almost twice as much.  Dam what to do?  How loud are these and the heat output? Smiley   The quoted pricing in op is for the next batch on June 21st?
839  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [INTEREST] CoiningSolutions.com AntMiner S2 Group Buy on: June 15, 2014, 09:23:31 PM
Kind of late for S2 buys but maybe they're ready to dump the price like they did with the S1.  I might be interested in 1 but I can see it's just at the point where they may be dropping prices.  Price would need to beat $1500 or $1350 for kit, that would get attention.  Have you considered a group buy for the RockMiner products?
840  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ROCKMINER ASIC miner official thread on: June 14, 2014, 06:51:46 PM
I too am waiting for Canary to post a price and hopefully it's more competitive than minersource.net ( although they are a good reseller ).  The price on the rbox dropped dramatically since launch and hopefully we will see the price of the rkbox come down as well.  To stay competitive with the market the price needs to drop a lil since power supply is not included and the rpi may need to be purchased as others have stated.  At least close to what Rockminer sells them for + a lil for shipping cost.  Hopefully this next week goes fast, don't want to resort to buying from the manufacturer.  What would you use these for?  Combine a couple and mine at a pool or point one for solo mining?  Is it a waste for solo or should I use the rbox for solo?  Your thoughts....

Our price is high mostly to test the waters, our price is now down to $649.
Thanks for your input and always fantastic customer service.
