Sorry you lost your funds but other than his marked self-moderated and/or locked thread (obvious scam warning #1) had you simply looked at his trust (both "trusted and "untrusted") you wouldn't have had a problem. Him and his 30+ other alts/buddies have been scamming here over 2 years and to answer your next question, NO, unlike other forums this forum will not ban him or any scammer of which 80% of the posts in this section are. This thread will soon be moved by the moderators to a place no one will ever find it unless they have been here a long time.

Also read the VERY FIRST "sticky" message in this section. Only the subject is needed.

YoutubeTV has now "morphed" into KENZIBLE. Kenzible was one of the "fake vouchers" YoutubeTV had before YoutubeTV deleted almost every post in all his threads except his own. Some of YoutubeTV's fake vouches and previous alts (305emmy) are now starting to appear in KENZIBLE's locked thread. Lots more connections/screen prints as well.

Someone with DT needs to red tag this cockroach.

It doesn't encourage scamming. Do you even know what the word means? To encourage they would have to openly say that scamming is fine and supported. Being passive about it and letting the community deal with scammers isn't encouraging. It's staying away and not getting involved.
If you're stupid enough to trade without escrow or trade with someone who has negative trust you are to blame not the forum.

Of course it encourages it.... simply by reputation. If one forum deletes all (obvious) scammers & their threads and another forum does not where would the scammers go? While "encourage" might not technically or legally be the correct word to describe it that is what is happening. I think I understand the "technical" reasons WHY they don't moderate those threads but that doesn't make it the right thing to do. It's like sticking fingers in both your ears and yelling real loud so you can't hear the 2 people next to you discussing how to rob the bank while you know exactly what is going on but don't want to get involved.

YoutubeTV (who was/is part of the "ACCOUNTSERVICES2" scam group) has just deleted all his messages (fake vouches etc) within his threads and is now morphing into KENZIBLE who is recycling one of YoutubeTV's previous alts and fake vouches in his thread. I guess all his negative trust has finally got to him so he is starting "fresh." KENZIBLE was one of YoutubeTV's "vouch buddies" before he went off on his own. Cheesy

Very true but unfortunately that doesn't happen here. All the scam accusations get buried here here while the scammers are allowed go on literally for years because policy is they don't "moderate" scammers. There is no way any newbie who logs in to Bitcointalk will ever see this to be warned which is why scammers are so attracted here. My GUESS is it's because there might be some sort of liability issue if they delete threads of some accused scammers and not all. Whatever the real reason, it is unfortunate the blatant and obvious scam threads that go on for sometimes years don't get deleted despite the fact the scammer could come right back with a new ID.

Make sure if you go to Apple Store to pick up you bring LOTS of CASH because you will need it to pay for BAIL to get out of jail when the FBI (mail fraud, credit card fraud, grand theft etc) who are waiting to arrest you are hiding behind the Genius Bar. Cheesy

Because people like myself stumble upon the thread through Google. For whatever reason Bitcoin Forum doesn’t show the +/- trust information whilst logged out. The seller has also used alts to post fake reviews which makes it even more convincing.

The real question is, why are these trust details hidden whilst logged out, and why hasn’t this user been banned yet?

As for banning, sad to say the "official policy" of this forum is not to moderate scam threads. As for trust details, good question. I could think of a few answers to both questions but would probably get banned for suggesting a couple of them. Cheesy
