823  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Auction: 50 Block Erupter Blades CHECK OP FOR PAYMENT on: May 04, 2013, 12:18:49 AM
Mine is on a plane from HK to Europe as we speak, but won't be in my hands until Tuesday?! Sad [I called to ask]

All the cabling and wiring ready, I can be up and running in 2 minutes once I have my blades.

For some awesome reason, I'm getting mine on monday. Strange considering I'm literally as far away from china as you can be...
824  Economy / Goods / My Kickstarter (4 Horsemen Playing Cards, accepting BTC soon) on: May 03, 2013, 08:28:41 PM
hey guys. Started a kickstarter here:

Once we hit 7k I'll happily accept BTC and LTC, and give a 10% discount! I'll bump this when I hit 7k, but if you don't mind amazon payments, consider backing that way Wink.

also should I be upset that I sold shares at 1.1 to buy a blade?

Nah... You could have borrowed money to do that... Also, read above, the guy says he makes 0.35 a day with his 8Gs. If that's true you'll be able to buy back in pretty damn soon. Lol...

well I'd rather pay with my money then borrow, I more or less had exactly enough in reserves So I had to sell my few shares.

So ASICMINER don't have secondary pool in case 1st pool went offline Huh. Isn't that like.... easy to setup or something?
We are switching to solo mode since we could not find enough pools having stable connection from China to distribute the hashpower.

The solo solution is being tested/done along with the deployment. The only problem is transparency. We plan to do it with writing information to the coinbase transaction to let everyone check.

just use the same address the whole time...
(sorry if this was said already)

hmm. complex situation... i honestly don't know what i'd have done in your shoes. depends on how many shares you sold compared ot your overall holdings, as well as how much the blade will increase your personally hash holdings.

well I bought 14 at 0.8 and sold them at 1.1

837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how does feathercoin change anything? on: April 30, 2013, 08:15:49 PM
Compared to LTC, FTC is premined 50%.

It wasn't premined... at least I'm pretty sure it wasn't.

But, But, But... I heard that word thrown around, and it was cool!  I think I DDOSED the FTC Premine while I am at it!!!

<<Back in reality >> It was not premined. It was hit somewhat hard and fast after release, but not premined.

I feel like the premine is a non-argument.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how does feathercoin change anything? on: April 30, 2013, 08:14:15 PM
My current agenda is this, I have NO feathercoins, litecoins or bitcoins right now (I ordered an asicminer, but II doubt this affects btc prices at all). I know I can't argue with the hardcore feathercoin people and that's fine, I just want people that want to join feathercoin that it's a horrible investment and I'd probably just suggest btc since, in my opinion, bitcoins visibility will be the first to rise over these altcoins...
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how does feathercoin change anything? on: April 30, 2013, 08:08:39 PM
Every time I see someone refute an argument with a registration date, I lose faith in humanity a little more.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is everyone loving Feathercoin so much? on: April 30, 2013, 05:40:39 PM
You have a coin which is driven purely by speculation and has no actual services built for it.

It exists in a vacuum of other speculators and miners who all want to get rich and don't want to be the ones left holding the bag  Wink

It is a currency. Currencies have speculation.

The fact is that Litecoin and Feathercoin both are the most female-friendly coins in terms of their names, and conservative nature.

female friendly names?? conservative nature?? lol

anyway cant wait when this retargets in 16 hours...
