821  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and non-formal workers on: November 22, 2021, 08:21:16 PM
What I believe here is that lack of information and lack of trust is the main cause that hampers people from making investments in the crypto market. A bunch of people had faced scams in their past experiences due to which they aren't willing to invest in crypto markets as well. Also the crypto market isn't affiliated with the government as well due to which it's not getting much trending in many such people.
822  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: November 22, 2021, 08:09:35 PM
Yes, I do agree that just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. We must look for the market trends and people's views regarding any product or goods. Demand and supply is an important key factor in the price hike. If there would a huge demand for any product it would definitely impact the supply which would result in a price hike. What I believe here is quality is more important than quantity. Always try to invest in some stable and long run items the market trend must be considered as well.
823  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and Deflation of Price and Money Supply on: November 22, 2021, 07:47:45 PM
Well, all depends upon what goes trading. These ups and downs are directly related to what people observe and what they make their mindsets against them. Yes, I do agree on the term of Demand and supply but here in digital currency trading, the scenario gets changed.
There was a time when the people weren't sure and had no trust in bitcoin but as you can see the current exchange rate of bitcoin it's way too high. As it depends on the market trend and purchasers' views about the goods.
824  Economy / Economics / Re: Wisdom in laying down on: November 18, 2021, 09:35:54 PM
Absolutely there is no freedom of speech and lot of researchers found that China is trying to track the whole world silently then how do they let their own people to miss that out and literally they are living under dictatorship so they have no other option than showing in this way but its not going to change anything since China never cared about the people because they just see it as commodity which is abundant there.

These communist parties can crush down people's homes without their permission then what do you think disallowing their citizens from using it?

I don't think there's going to be a time in China where their citizens will have free will, which is a lie and strong ones impose their will on the weak ones.
825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption Report Card - Year 12 on: November 18, 2021, 09:31:10 PM
Wait for what?

Why are you classifying bitcoin into rich or poor, everyone can own bitcoin... a fraction of it if not whole.
Rich can certainly own a lot of bitcoin and if they want compared to poor people and then flex their bitcoins on them which they will do once they own the majority of bitcoins and poor people have sold theirs after taking the words of media that bitcoin's a bubble or illegal.
826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: November 18, 2021, 09:23:06 PM
Well, it seems Paul's brother has an upcoming fight.
I did not know them technically who will gonna win but in Mike Tyson and Logan Paul, I saw odds are in favor of Mike Tyson and now this fight between Tommy and Jake Paul it seems the odds are in favor of Tommy. But yeah --let see how this fight will go on and I like Paul's brother with this upcoming fight, I know they are very aggressive fighters too that could be there is a chance to knock out their opponent. Let us see how Tommy proves his promise to end Jake Paul's career in boxing.

Do you remember these paul brothers who went against those black brothers (i can't remember their names and don't mean to be offensive)

Ever since then it has become a show for streamers and YouTubers to fight and their fans placing bets on them, it really is "Raise your value in the market and let the fans do all the work"
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 18, 2021, 09:19:43 PM
I don't believe this yet...  I'd love to see it.  I'd put Mike Tyson up against any human being on earth when it comes to boxing and feel confident Mike has a chance.  Maybe it's my nostalgia talking, but he's the baddest man on the planet.

Logan has quite a bit of size on him and obviously youth, but Mike isn't like Logan.  He comes from a place of pain and I don't think Logan is going to come out of it with his consciousness in tact.  Sucks to see it's an exhibition and there will probably be all sorts of rules to discourage knockouts, but Mike is a monster.

I'm crossing my fingers this happens.  Mostly because Mike deserves the payday and it would really help his business ventures outside the ring.  I'd probably even pay for this pay-per-view just to support him.

Indeed that guy is being paid millions to beat down people with years of experience and this guy Logan Paul goes on toe-toe with him without losing.
I think Mike was in some financial issues and Logan paid him to not win against Logan, they won't accept that publically unless proof is shown but who knows...
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A positive evaluation of gambling. on: November 18, 2021, 09:16:34 PM
I think it's better if people gamble socially or for fun but when they start to gamble with the money they need for things or for the future then there's a trap.
It doesn't stop there but they develop the habit of gambling in long run that's where the danger lies.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First decentralized Gambling Platform? on: November 18, 2021, 08:51:49 PM
I'm pretty sure that there has been quite a few decentralized crypto casinos already, including prediction markets.

Augur is probably the best example of this.

While this is certainly a noble cause, what matters is if they can actually attract revenue to the blockchain. I doubt this will happen just because of the fact that people prefer the convenience of centralized alternatives right now.

Weren't the casinos like Satoshidice and a few others in past were decentralized?
Surely they were regulated by any government aside from their server which was located in Europe if I'm not wrong.
And what about those sites that used to allow users to place bets on blockchain block's ending letter.
830  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free bet in bitcoin sportbooks on: November 18, 2021, 08:43:36 PM

I happen to place a bet there after clicking on Place bet in their promo section and didn't the freebet of the amount and when i asked their customer support they told me it's for those who haven't placed any Sports bet prior to this promo are eligible...I don't understand why was even the promo displayed to my screen then if i'm not eligible.
831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ecosystem’s weakness on: November 17, 2021, 08:47:28 PM
Banning Bitcoin mining from a specific jurisdiction is really a weakness of the Bitcoin ecosystem? Bitcoin mining wouldn't depend on only a jurisdiction, what happened when China banned Bitcoin ban? Nothing, it's just an impact on Bitcoin price for a small time. But didn't affect on overall Bitcoin ecosystem. A few jurisdictions will ban and a few jurisdictions will allow. That's what ecosystem.

China dislikes decentralization as a whole.
They didn't go this only with Bitcoin but there's another huge firm owner of China who launched a payment system and faced huge problems by the Communist party. There are things that are out of your control in china and many other nations they want to lead the people in a certain way and dislike the idea of their control being challenged by any Payment Gateway Or Bitcoin.

So it's natural they ban it.
832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL, HODL, HODL when can one actually sell Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2021, 08:44:12 PM
Hold is a common strategy when investing, as long as there is hope for profit, hold is better than sell, although we are free to sell but most will regret seeing the price skyrocket after selling, and this is the best strategy than daily trading.

2% profit strategy is also good 3 times a week where profits are compounded so you aren't forced to make profit daily.

Holding is good if you're interested in the cryptocurrency more than its fiat value and aren't worried about it being changed.
You said Hodl is better than selling: I disagree with this, sometimes selling is necessary.
833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: November 17, 2021, 08:38:06 PM
It will be really good to have a movie that is focused on bitcoin. And if it will A list actors on it with good directors and a good story, then it’s going to go a long way in promoting in bitcoin. They can just write a story on bitcoin, maybe something that has to do with action, like people going to retrieve bitcoin keys that is lost or something like that. Just like this old movie that’s called Tomb Raider that features Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, and another movie is Money Heist that is featured on Netflix .

All those movies are really interesting. So imagine a movie like that is focused on bitcoin, and then it eventually blows up and selling in high numbers, that’s going to push bitcoin to a really high level.

There already has been a movie made on cryptocurrency.
Where a guy works in a big firm and gets to know about cryptocurrencies by a shopkeeper who started using bitcoin told the guy "it's the future"
Where this guy worked in a huge firm and his father was a farmer.

In any case, i wasn't able to watch the full film because it started well then became boring so I stopped watching I don't even remember the name of this film..
834  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Recent Drop Below $60K Is Not Worrisome, Analyst Says on: November 17, 2021, 08:05:48 PM
I have been saying it since a long time, Even if bitcoin drops below 10k usd it will recover back in a year easily but looking at the market now it's rare if bitcoin drop below 30k.

Bitcoin's popularity is only going to rise and children in schools, universities will know about it and will be curious to pay in bitcoin thus raising the bitcoin's users and market cap, thus higher price.
835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with whales? on: November 16, 2021, 09:57:04 PM
40% of all Bitcoins are owned by just 1000 individuals.

This gives them a disproportionate amount of control over the market as they are able to dump them at anytime.

This is not to mention the high proportion of bitcoins held by miners and exchanges, who may have perverse incentives to ensure that as many people buy up bitcoin as possible and hold it for long enough for the price to rise.

Is there any way to deal with the high degree of centralisation that Bitcoin has?

It gives them the advantage for sure, but without manipulating the mainstream media they will not be able to do much, People will start to notice their pattern because most of the people do the same thing again and this world lack intuitive people so they will need people to do mass manipulation into market, Pump and dump schemes , FOMOs , etc.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your strategy to carry on making money when Bitcoin turns bearish on: November 16, 2021, 09:52:30 PM
Whats more to do, just hold what is available with you. The growth chart clearly shows how the market price have moved gradually and has profited the users who kept hold of it without falling for negative news and FUD, FOMO, etc. The market need to be trusted, and if you're with good learning then you could give a try on regular trading practice. This will help you increase the cryptocurrency portfolio. This is what I did earlier when I had good sum of cryptocurrencies investment.

When you see negatives about bitcoin or FUD regarding it in News, Paper or any other sort of media then remember that someone's trying to make the majority sell their crypto currencies which will reduce the price so they can buy them at a cheaper price.
837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with crypto??? on: November 16, 2021, 09:48:15 PM
I've never paid anything using bitcoin, and I don't really want to exchange and buy anything using bitcoin, even I find it difficult to make payments in my country using crypto, because the government still prohibits buying goods using crypto.

There are some countries that still placed bans on cryptocurrencies, China dominates that territory at the moment.
Even in Bangladesh, a guy told a story of their friend where they got ripped in a P2P scam by sending them money from the bank of someone else's.
838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are crypto owners naturally paranoid? on: November 16, 2021, 09:42:38 PM
It seems to me that it would be safer (and more convenient) to keep your crypto on an exchange (coinbase, blockfi etc) than cold wallet. Wouldn't the odds be greater that you mess up your cold storage than a large exchange being hacked or whatever (even if they are hacked, that wouldn't necessarily mean you would lose any coins, whereas if you are hacked that's a different story). I ordered a ledger nano X but it seems that the exchanges are still the way to go based on probabilities. What are your thoughts?

I'd say if you're planning to keep the bitcoins for the long term then store them into cold storage private key rather than coinbase.

In past coinbase blocked me from accessing my account because i used my coinbase wallet to deposit into a gambling website so you can't be certain what might happen.
839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: November 15, 2021, 09:18:14 PM
economically bitcoin helps improve the economic condition of my family, and scientifically, bitcoin tells me about various powerful financial technologies that I don't know yet. Thanks to Bitcoin

it's just that, sometimes some people don't want to accept bitcoin because of its high price volatility,
Volatility is indeed a consideration for all people who carry out economic activity, both sellers and buyers and even intermediaries also consider this.
when you have a currency with high volatility, then you will be exposed to the risk of fluctuations in assets beyond our control
no one likes when the assets held suddenly depreciate, this is very annoying

Indeed Bitcoin is going to be volatile until and unless the majority of traders are whales where a few doesn't control the cap of the market and psychology of the bitcoin and other cryptos.
840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 15, 2021, 08:42:35 PM
Apple CEO Tim Cook have invested on cryptocurrency. He has disclosed it in a recorded interview. He mentioned it as part of his diversified portfolio. His investment was from his personal point, and Apple doesn't have any plans of investing/accepting cryptocurrency. This is a big news, and were into discussion around the social media platforms. Majority of the huge company CEO's own crypto. This is a big thing and an indication of growth of cryptocurrency network.

This is going to get more and more interesting when other industries make their move into crypto and the users of their tech follow them.
All it takes is a reputable person to get into something and others below him to follow him.
